My A1C is 4.7. all I eat are carbs as a whole foods plant based vegan, no oil, no gluten. BTW, both type 1 and type 2 diabetes run rampant in my family. Last time I had my blood glucose checked I had consumed a high carb breakfast 4 hours before my blood was drawn and my blood glucose came back at 88. My fasting glucose is probably lower. I also know a lot of people who completely reversed their diabetes on a Whole Foods plant-based vegan diet. There is also a scientific evidence to back that up.
I’m not sure if you have ever heard of Shawn Baker but he believes in the carnivore diet. His A1C was 6.4 and fasting glucose was 127. His testosterone levels were that of a 90 year old man and he is only in his 40s I believe, maybe 50s and he’s also a bodybuilder and an athlete. Animal foods and fat are what cause diabetes. Refined carbs don’t help.

I’m not on this diet nor do I ever plan to be on it but I can’t get away from people mentioning it so I had to look it up. There is something just not right about eating with the sole purpose of losing weight. Avoid carrots, apples and potatoes? No thank you! How about just being more sensible, physically active and eating to nourish your body? It might take longer but in the long term you will be healthy and establish good habits for life. I would never wish any “quick weight loss diet” on anyone I care for. I mean, putting your body in ketosis just to lose weight? Seems way too drastic. Oh, and the clapping on cue is just plain weird.
I myself have tried a million ways to loose weight. Whether it is
cardio, hitting the gym, cycling or even swimming, nothing really helped
me till my friend told me to try going on a diet. I researched quite a
lot about it and found that a diet is the main thing that helps. I
noticed that nothing works unless you have a proper diet with your
workouts. So I made up my mind and started on a diet. After a few days

Someone please answer this question: Is it 100% necessary to exercise while on this diet? I work a physically demanding job that forces me to walk a lot, lift heavy things, and squat for 5 whole hours. When I get home I am too tired to do cardio, but I do go out on a walk for 30 mins everyday. Then I do some abdominals/crunches before I rest for the day. Is this enough exercise or do I need to do a lot more to lose weight? Sorry if this is explained on the video, I haven’t finished watching it

Helpful clip even though I’ve been doing keto for 5 weeks. In some ways it’s been easy because I haven’t been hungry, but I lost 8lbs in the first two weeks and nothing since, despite two 36 hour fasts in the last 3 weeks. It isn’t easy to keep carbs under 20. I track on myfitnesspal and keep cals under 1500 as well. I end up eating the same thing nearly every day. Even natural yoghurt and blueberries have carbs. An avocado has carbs. I’m so sick of eggs! Going to try my best for one more week and then if I’m still stuck in this plateau next week (ie, a whole month) then I’m switching to a standard low carb diet. This will have been good preparation though.

Great video thank you! I started a keto diet about 6 weeks ago and have lost 11kg. I’m incredibly motivated by the results and how I feel. I am also doing intermittent fasting (no food between 8pm 12pm next day) which has helped speed things up. Not going to lie the first week was insanely tough but once you get through it and start noticing the positive effects its actually quite easy to continue. Exercise is a bit harder (I cant run as fast / lift as much) but not impossible! Good luck to everyone who tries it:)
