However, did you know that NOT consuming enough salt has equally horrible effects on the body? In addition to controlling your blood pressure, salt is also needed for your muscles and nerves to work properly. Insufficient sodium can cause hyponatremia, characterized by the following symptoms: Nausea and vomiting; Headache; Confusion; Loss of energy; Fatigue.
What if I don’t get enough sodium? In addition to controlling your blood pressure, sodium is also needed for your muscles and nerves to work properly. Insufficient sodium can cause hyponatremia, characterized by the following symptom.Too much or too little sodium in your diet can have adverse effects on your health.
If you eat too much, which most Americans do, it can lead to things like heart disease, stroke and arteriosclerosis which is a big word for hardening of the arteries. The thing is, your body needs sodium to function.A string of medical conditions can lead to low sodium levels in the body: kidney failure, congestive heart failure, adrenal insufficiency, hypothyroidism and cirrhosis of the liver.
Anorexia and certain meds can also cause a sodium imbalance. But it can also result when sodium is lost during prolonged sweating and severe vomiting or diarrhoea.Translation: eating too much salt is bad for your heart, period. Fortunately, if you stop eating salt, you can reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke, according to the American Heart Association. Specifically, they recommend that you aim to consume no more than 1,500 milligrams of sodium daily, which honestly isn’t a lot!
Consuming too much salt could possibly contribute to the development of autoimmune diseases, osteoporosis, high blood pressure and kidney disease. It may also cause kidney stones especially if you consume a lot of sodium and very little calcium. Risk factors and warning signs of too much sodium intake includ. What Can Happen if We Consume Too Much Sodium?
The most frequently occurring form of dietary sodium is sodium chloride, the ingredient in ordinary table salt. Sodium helps to control your blood pressure and blood volume, and your nerves and muscles need sodium in order to function properly. However, a diet that. Now we know that the volunteers were suffering from hyponatremia, a condition caused by consuming too little sodium or too much water.
Without salt to regulate the water consumption of their cell. You essentially dilute it. Having not taken in any salt and drinking moderate amounts of water I’m sure at some point your brain would swell (cerebral edema) you would die after a bout of confusion and disorientation and vomiting.
2-5 gallons of water in an hour might do it.Low blood sodium (hyponatremia) occurs when you have an abnormally low amount of sodium in your blood or when you have too much water in your blood. Signs and symptoms of hyponatremia can include altered personality, lethargy and confusion.
Severe hyponatremia can cause seizures, coma and.Strom pointed to an Italian study of people with congestive heart failure as an example of research that has hinted that diets too low in sodium may.Not having enough sodium in your blood can cause a condition called hyponatremia. It is generally defined as a sodium concentration of less than 135 mEq/L of blood, with severe hyponatremia being below 120 mEq/L. Hyponatremia happens when your body holds onto too much water, which dilutes the amount of sodium in your blood and causes low levels.
Muscle weakness and cramps If your muscles do not get rid of the waste products, like excess lactic acid because of your low blood sodium levels, there is.Symptoms of a sodium deficiency include muscle cramps, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, and inability to concentrate. Drinking too much fluid, especially plain water, can result in hyponatremia, a dangerous condition in which there is not enough sodium in your body fluids. What Happens to Your Body When You Don’t Get Enough Potassium?
The electrolyte mineral potassium has many important functions in the body, including maintaining blood pressure. A person only needs to eat a small amount of potassium each day to maintain proper levels of the electrolyte in the body. Foods such as.

I’m 23 with heart failure. What’s your stance in limited salt intake in congestive heart failure? I’m on a low sodium diet to “help my medications work better by taking stress of my heart” and “helps my lungs not fill with water”
When we were marching in Texas in the hot summer sun there, the soldiers that did not take their salt tablets, were the ones that fainted, I kid you not. I can remember when it was my job to spot them, and to try to catch them, because you could tell by certain signs. To this day, this told me that salt is essential, and with all the attacks on salt, I am sure that I am not the only one in the military to observe this, but I wonder why no one speaks up on this issue.
I have always had perfect blood pressure and I am grateful for that. New nurses at my doctor’s office often take my blood pressure twice because they do not believe the readings for a 55 year-old-man.
And I recently have tried a new diet for a short period that had me eating a lot of salt, even though I already ate more salt than the average person. But I have had an odd side effect and I believe it is from the excessive salt consumption: I have a small pot belly all of sudden out of nowhere. My liver was recently tested via sonogram and I’ve had extensive blood tests that indicate my liver is healthy and fine. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t eat sugar. I eat a low amount of carbs. But I have this swollen belly now. I have done some looking and researching and found that there are a few other people who have had a similar symptom and they believed it was caused by excessive salt. Tomorrow I am cutting my daily salt consumption to 1/4 of my normal daily consumption and will try to remember to report back here in 6 weeks with my results. Wish me luck.
FUCK IT, I’M GONNA COOK SOME BACON AND FRY MY BREAD IN THE LARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMMIT! and have a bacon sandwich.. sound good??? anyone.
Actually the root word for “Salary” is “Sal” (Latin for Salt). The “salarium”, was a Roman soldier’s allowance to buy salt.:D
My normal blood pressure is so high a doctor wanted to put me on medication when I was 14 but said I was too young. If I listened to your advice I’d probably have a stroke or heart attack, no thanks.
Do not restrict your salt intake unless youre really eating too much sodium. Salt is needed by the body. Not having enough sodium in the body can be dangerous for your health. Just always drink plenty of water whenever you eat salty foods.
If i go low salt during the winter assuming it’s cold and i’m not that physically active? Then switch to high salt in the summer?
Good quality salt helped reduce my high blood pressure…I was always told to stay away from it. I use real salt not Morton’s salt that’s full of chemicals. That’s the salt that causes issues. Salt in it’s real untreated, unprocessed state is much healthier.
The tid bit about salad was so interesting! I love salt on my salad veggies, so I guess I’m eating it just how it was meant to be eaten!
What causes high blood pressure is a lack of minerals, mainly magnesium, zinc and potassium. Leg cramps are caused by a lack of potassium. The arteries attached to the heart have muscles that contract and release to open for proper blood flow. A lack of these minerals causes the arteries to contract but spasm out they will not relax and open completely so the blood flow is pumping against pressure. Like leg cramps the arteries work the same way.
During Soviet era, on factories which were dealing with something hot, like molten metal, guys were sweating pretty much,
there was a tank with mineralized water near workplaces, workers were advised to drink it during the day.
Celtic salt is even better that pink salt, No one talks about it, but it has almost all the minerals our body needed. take one crystal and place it in your mouth before you drink water, it makes the absorption of the liquid much better in the body. please if you can read about and make another video that will be great.
thanks
Read this book Your eyes will be open that Salt is a Poison and not required for Human Body.

If salt was bad then Deer, Sheep, and goats wouldn’t be risking their lives on a daily basis searching for salt to lick. Salt is apparently very important for them why not for us?
I have avoided salt for 50 years. For the past ten my BP has been above 155 over like 98, even higher sometimes. I don’t take medication, never have. I recently tried and failed the OMAD diet. It called for increased salt (not table salt) to make sure a sufficient source of minerals was present. Without medication my BP is now consistently 120 over 68. What’s different you ask? Now I use mineral salt on everything all the timenever table salt. Himalayan or Redmond’sAmazon.
I have high cholesterol so I’m thinking low-salt, gluten-free beegan.:D
In my opion, white foods are bad for you… Sugar flower salt patatoes cheese milk bread and so on. I try to avoid foods that are made with those ingredants yess i eat it some times but not alot.

Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone-system (RAAS) is briefly outlined.
I have been taking my blood pressure each day multiple times a day, since my doctor told me my BP was running high. I can tell you I see a direct pattern in my BP depending on what I eat for dinner the day before. When I eat very high sodium dinners (like pizza, soups, etc) my BP is much higher than it is when I eat a low sodium dinner.
subjective perspective. complicated (when im doing NO SODIUM… my sweat isn’t salty, I’m never thursty & drinking water can be painful)
Great video feel like a lot of people need to hear this. Want to know the correlation of salt consumption and those Himalayan lamps.
Everything is bad for humans wtf why they make sugar and sweets and all kind of shit and not telling us I will sue food companies soon
Nursing homes claim to serve low sodium meals, but they’re not, believe me. It’s processed crap, premade by a food service company!
Plenty of potassium in meat, no need for apples and the damaging 2 teaspoons of sugar contained in one small green apple.
Applying this study as advice is problematic because it goes against common medical theory, which everybody knows is perfect. The medical industry has been saying salt is bad for so long, that if we suddenly reverse course with our opinions, the average brain dead patient who believes everything the government and most doctors believe, this would make us look bad.
We as doctors need to protect the current paradigm of thought because not only does is make us look like we are in agreement, and if we suddenly admit that we were wrong about salt intake all along, some people might actually start to question what we tell them about health.
We cannot jeopardize our current standing with the public and must maintain a united front when it comes to health and our standing in the community, truth be damned.
Daley’s advice at the time was not to wear fur coats. Genius.
And now in 2020 the WHO is seriously under scrutiny. It would appear that their science maybe somewhat over influenced by political will. Follow the money is the saying.
Thomas delauer said sometimes your body craves sugar when instead it really wants salt…what if it’s just all the carbs from the sugary foods that your body wants since carbs help retain water which helps retain sodium allowing you to hold on to what little sodium you have left?so therefore if you crave alot of sugar it means you’re extremely low in sodium
People need to understand what salt is. The stuff that is mined and obtained from salt works is real salt with the balanced mineral content. Once this mineral goes to a refining plant and gets converted to Table salt with additives it is no longer salt it’s just a product called salt.
Real salt like Himalayan or Celtic is 100% healthy material. Table salt is 100% Toxic. Don’t consume anything that has been doctored in a ‘Products’ production plant. Real salt is never white. White bread, white rice, white flour, white mash(skin removed) are all useless food products. Eat the whole thing as nature intended. A bit of grit and scale never hurt anyone.
We need 4-5 grams of Sodium or 10 grams of salt!
It is the carbohydrates DUH! Skip the toxic carbohydrates this includes fruits and vegetables.
Everything we know about salt may be wrong

Do not restrict salt intake, instead increase potassium intake
When I worked in the coolers at Walmart, I felt horrible for a long time but noticed that I felt better after eating McDonald’s or similar fast food at lunch. Come to find that I was sweating in the cooler but couldn’t feel it due to the cold temperatures. I had a sodium salt deficiency that took serious research to find because of the idiocy surrounding current “health” recommendations. The low salt “health” recommendation damn near killed me!
When you say “sodium” are you meaning sodium chloride or sodium bicarbonate?
Salt will make blood pressure go up but then it goes back down again koreans eat those noodles full of salt & yet they live longer then us?
Fahrenheit!? Please ALWAYS include metric numbers which is what most of the world uses 😉
I followed this advice and nearly died. The fluid retention from all the salt caused serious edema and damaged my mitral valve and now I’m on six different medications and a sodium restricted diet. Thanks, assholes.
From my research, apples don’t contain much Potassium at all. Weird.
Unfortunately sweating don’t work in high humidity. In such condition is it better to not sweat?
We eat salt for so long and suddenly almost stop eating it, I don’t get these people.
Chloride always follows sodium
Cortisol increases filteration in the kidneys
If your hypothyroidism
Or adrenal insufficiency low cortisol/aldosterone
Very high bun/creatinine/phosphorus
Not a kidney issue you ignorant doctor
It’s either my adrenal or thyroid
When did FDA care about people? Salt is essential. Low salt diet is a fake science
Old people have arthritis in their major joints making it painful to stand up from a seated position. Many elderly people avoid drinking fluids because the less they drink, they less they have to get up to urinate, thus many elderly people dehydrate. Unfortunately, it’s a vicious cycle because dehydration dries out the cartilage in their joints and weakens their muscles, making standing up more painful.
I have to take a drug that reduces sodium in the body, hence, I now have osteoporosis. Consultants always stress the need to reduce salt intake, but it’s always salty foods I crave over sweet foods.
What about the acidification of the body resulting from the Chloride ion in salt?
Yep this is why 1 in 3 Americans have high blood pressure problems, because most of them eat to little salt…♂️
Chicago is a crap city. No wonder why they just dropped a giant shiny bean in it’s park and called it day. I never even been there and I am just sick of that thing.
The statistics show that salt over a lifetime is bad for you. In American 70% of those over the age of 65 have blood pressure so high they need medication. The reality is that everyone over time will suffer from salt consumption with problems like heart disease, stroke, become type two diabetic, get liver cancer, kidney disease, erectile dysfunction or dementia. These diseases are all the result of salt consumption. The idea that some people are “sensitive” to salt and others aren’t is nonsense. It’s just that some people will succumb earlier than others, all are harmed by the stuff. We’ve only been consuming salt for the last 5,000 years when we learned to mine this poison. Paleo man didn’t use salt. The Intersalt Study showed us that the four small populations on this planet that consume very little or no salt don’t suffer from the diseases mentioned. They are born with blood pressure of 90/60 with highs of 100/70 and die with these same pressure. How much salt should you consume? None! We don’t need salt, what we need is sodium, and there is plenty in whole food. Live long and prosper, dump the salt from you life. Take it from a guy who used to salt his ham and from the age of 64 have suffered as a result. Salt consumption is slow death and sickness.
I went from less than 2300mg of sodium to 4000mg. BP stayed the same. AND I am more alert, and can think better. Overall, I just “feel” healthier.
also fluoride kill bacteria which cool cause lethal infection or serious gastrointestinal distress, you way out that vs drinking fluoride i think fluoride is the lesser evil.
I’m not sure why this video doesn’t have +1 Million views. This video is fantastic in explaining salt affects on the heart.

I’m sorry man I just landed here from a Chubbyemu video. I had to do this.
The hospital once put my father on a low-sodium diet.
He died shortly after.
Yes but how much sodium a day should a person with High Bp have?
You should NOT RESTRICT your salt intake. In fact you might even have to to increase it. Over centuries people have been eating loads of salt because fridges weren’t invented and people relied on salt-based fermented foods to preserve their food. Naturally their salt intake could easily have been 3 times or more than what it is Today, and high blood pressure wasn’t as prevalent as it is today. So what’s contributing to high blood pressure if it’s not salt? Well, it could be various factors such as high cortisol, high intracellular calcium, low intracellular Magnesium, Vit D deficiency and many others…. Another important factor is Potassium. The sodium potassium pump is dependant on a ratio of low sodium outside the cell, to high potassium within the Cells. This balance ensure proper water balance and mineral transportation. Potassium levels have deffinately dropped over the last century because of a decline in Fruits and vegetables in the diet. Thanks to refined foods, sugars and Junk foods. So with the decreased potassium levels, the sodium potassuim pump is ineffective and causes ‘Cellular Swelling’. Water pushes into the cells. In order to restore the functionality of the pump, doctors said ‘You must reduce your salt intake!’. Now your pump is working! But unfortunately now you’re also deficient in both sodium AND Potassium, placing extra stress on your kidneys. What doctors should be telling most patients today, is to increase their POTASSIUM levels by eating MORE fruits and vegetables! The latter also contains high levels of vit C, Mg, Calcium which is essential for maintaining blood pressure levels. Adequate Vit D ensures that your calcium gets absorbed into the bones and prevents calcium from accumulating and blocking your arteries. ‘If you’re interested you can Read the scientific book ‘The Salt Fix’, by a leading Cardio Scientist and Researcher. Don’t be Scared of salt. Be scared of low potassium levels. Additional or unused sodium is easily excreted by the kidneys into the urine. We sweat salt, we cry salt and all our cells are bathing in a solution high in salt. Too much salt doesn’t hurt our kidneys as much as a high protein diet with that’s not digested properly. This causes high uric acid and places much more stress on the kidneys. The kidneys has to neutralize all this acid…..
well, i have chronic kidney disease 3, idk what thinking about it, i mean doctor tell me 1500 daily of sodium, for what i understading by statistics from japan and korea its better keep sodium but increase potassium. i read last week that like just 2%, (if i right) of people take right daily of potassium (4700) after my kidneys diagnostic, i start to look what food contains potassium i know i dont eat necessary potassium coming from my food at least but my doctor tell me my levels are ok.
As someone with meniere’s disease that puts me at extreme risk of hearing loss if I eat more then 2,000 mg of salt. I’m screwed.
A lot of people can’t eat a lot of salt because heart disease though
I have only one kidney and have been instructed to eat less salt. What you have told me in this video might have saved my life. Thank you so much.
What are some ways to fix your high blood pressure issue inherently? I read plenty of great opinions on the internet about how Hybetez Remedy can help you cure your high blood pressure issue naturally. Has any one tried this high blood pressure remedy?
Can low sodium cause a rash? Im on carnivore diet but experimented with no added salt latley, and developed a rash on my chest and beard area.
Salt is a confusing one. I’m always told to reduce salt, which I did. My fitbit showed, that even though I was running 3 times a week and getting fitter, my heart rate was steadily rising every day. I started to drink stock with salt twice a day (oxo cubes) and my heart rate not only immediately wend down but has no started to go down every day, in line with increasing my fitness. Get enough salt. Ignore WHO recommended intake as the WHO have CLEARLY been shown to have ulterior motives.
This video is worth its weight in salt!:D I am now free to be as salty as I want!:D I know I must take all this info with a pinch of salt but I honestly think I’ve found The Salt of Life here!:D
Lots and lots and lots of studies have been done to show how added salt stresses your body, increases aging in the body, injures the walls of your arteries and leads to invitations for plaque to gather in those spots where you are injured. He can claim he has “learned” whatever he wants but follow him at your own peril.
My mother has chronic kidney disease and her doctors have limited her salt intake, every book and diet for her condition suggests cutting out salt etc. what would you suggest for a person in her position?
Awhile back I fell on my knee… dont have insurance thanks to the FAT guy AKA trump… okay back to my story, I noticed when I ate food with a bunch of sodium my knee would get swollen, I cut back on my sodium the knee pain disappeared it wouldn’t get swollen, I would be able to move it around and bend it and I lost weight…thee end I’m alive and healthy…. constantly checking my sodium intake
Heart Failure is on the rise and this channel is promoting the very thing that contributes to it. This video is full of misinformation….
Wait wait wait! Did he say 11g of salt is optimal? And it recommend not to get more than like 2g or so?
What about too little sodium? I’ve been to the doctor twice and foud that my sodium level was too low but now it’s been increasing hte pat two times I was there. I understood that hte sodium level was sapposed to be 140 nad mine was 120 or 130 something, but still a good bit below 140 ro 142 or whateer it was supposed to be. It was supposed to be alittle over 140-at least 140.
Your arteries are supposed to have elasticity. Salt hardens the arteries, destroys the elasticity, and causes atrial fibrillation.
I wish someone knew why I’ve been hyperkalemic fir iver 10 years, sometimes deadly levels. I miss bananas!
Another great health piece. Very sound advice. Studies I’m familiar with suggests the relationship between sodium intake and morbidity & mortality tends to follow a ‘j curve’ with the sweet spot between too little and too much being between 3 and 6 gms/day.
In 2016 I was fasting on water and watermelon juice. I 3ended up near death and on a drip for 2 weeks as I was away all my potassium and sodium. Major lesson learnt and be careful who you listen to. Another great video here.
I’ve been on no salt for a few decades, and I don’t feel well. I know there are issues in my body. As things get worse, to what can I attribute the cause, LACK of Salt? My dad ate salt and died in bed at 88. No one but me in my large family has abstained from salt, and no one is as sick. My wife eats a LOT of salt and has no HBP, kidney disease or heart disease at 70. To say eating salt is going to eventually catch up with you is irresponsible, because doctors literally have a license to kill by giving us lousy information when its so obvious doctors just aren’t very smart, and ALL of their knowledge was spoon fed to them from Med School run by Big Pharma.
All we have to ask ourselves is what makes fast food so unhealthy? The answer is excessive salt, sugar, white flour and industrially extracted oils. 75 to 80 percent of our sodium comes from fast food and restaurant food. Minimizing those two sources will go a long way to staying healthy. Minizining the other three components would certainly help.
Senior Citizens should listen to their bodies and stop with “THE” Less Salt is better directive.
If you have balance issues, tremors and are not consuming (enough) salt, welcome to life with a low sodium attitude (thanks AMA & American Heart Institute).
Afib and being a senior IS an issue (THINK ABOUT IT) that
NEEDS examination (ASK ME HOW I KNOW..)
BP MEDS: Ever wonder why your thinking capacity has gone SOUTH… This should concern everyone.
It would be VERY positive if everyone would spend a little time looking into MANY of the issues that are becoming todays norm… THE BIGGEST LOBBY IN DC IS…? pc
Have they even done the studies on himilayan salt or sea salt
Not enough salt is bad for you..if your kidneys dont get enough then your body starts to pull it from your bones.
I always crave potato chips on kito, so i eat a very small amount of chips and boom. i feel fine no craving. I remembor their used to be salt tablets in high school gyms during summer or in factory. no more. i wonder why?
My body and brain love that salt and I honour that request! 555555555!
JESUS SAID, I AM THE SALT OF THE EARTH. WHY DID HE NOT SAY SUGAR????? BECAUSE SUGAR IS THE KILLER, NOT SALT.
heart disease, high blood pressure is caused by eating too much carbs and too much sugar (any type of sugar). Not from SALT. Low salt intake is dangerous to your health. The body has the ability to flush excess salt, but it does not have the ability to create salt other than ingesting or eating salt
I was eating salt I think 2 says ago my mum said it will make u die and my dad said I forgot what day it was but my dad said it won’t make u die I don’t get it abit
in Japan,we are recommended to intake sodium less than 10g a day. thanks for sharing.
If excess sodium is excreted, does this mean that it is safe to drink seawater, assuming that one has not become dehydrated?
The problem is that your current guidelines dont make any difference either. Where is the science showing reduced salt reduces blood pressure. And there is also plenty of science showing that increased blood sugars from lots of fruits and vegetables in the diet will raise blood pressure
Finishing a bag of BBQ chips as I watch this video love you guys
I’m having trouble narrowing down what level of sodium and potassium I should be getting during a long term fast. Seems like from what he said getting atleast 4g of sodium and about 4g of potassium? Others say having a 4-1 ratio of potassium to sodium which is not what the research seems to be saying. If anyone can help clarify I would really appreciate it.
My mom got that from medication. Her brain didn’t think right, so I drove her to a hospital. She got better
uh, so when i crave a burger i should just add salt to a meal and save myself money
Something tells me we probably shouldn’t be following the WHO guidelines.
Last summers heatwave made a butterfly do a suicidemission on my eyelid! It sat there for 5 minutes drinkin he sweat from my eyebrows. Then I saw the others butterflies, they seemed confused. I understand now that salt is minerals! essential for every cell in our body AND our magnetic relationship to nature. Drink extra salted water every day. Cleans out oxalate acid! Through sweat and other holes in the body (:
The one thing I’ve learned over the years is that when you see a video of some idiot wearing a white lab coat, he is first and foremost an ignoramus, and at worst a damned liar. These doctors aren’t smart. They’ve been spoon fed by the AMA and Big Pharma. The US is the sickest nation in the history of the world because of these irresponsible buffoons. DUH, put on a lab coat and let morons think you know what you’re talking about. You bastards have killed more people than all the wars and religions put together.

Eat Sea Salt… With no chemicals and over 80 trace minerals…
caffeine destroys sodium to the tune of 360mg per 90 mg so thats per cup basically.if u drink several coffees a day then if you are active then mostly likely u will create a deficiency in sodium.if you do alot of excercise and sweat then you lose alot per litre of sweat.not much science linking sodium to high blood pressure.japan and south korea much higher salt intakes than uk and both have highest life expectancy in world and better health.
Actually, high salt, low vegetables, no fruit leads to good blood pressure-doc.
Really…this doctor has soo much to say ha! He wasted my time.
Just one question why do we feelmore thirsty after a salty diet
I read lots of great reviews on the net about how exactly Hybetez Remedy can help you cleanse your high blood pressure issue naturally. Has any one tried this high blood pressure remedy?
That explained my craving for ready salted peanuts on the odd occasion.
I’m like addicted to mcdonald and drinks water all the time but never satisfied? I feel thirsty all the time.
You should be careful with the images you use; some people watching could be recovering addicts.
Brings race into it in first 10 seconds of speaking. Salt provides both Na and Cl both of which are needed by the body
people are hallucinating when it comes to potassium. this learned one states how higher sodium intake is ok with higher potassium intake; but did you get a load of those numbers? 11:36 3.6 grams of potassium is half of what people normally get. people normally get 1.8 grams a day? the FDAs Ridiculous Daily Amount is 4.7 grams!! i love these vids leaving you feeling like you know more when in fact they are designed to keep you in the darkness they worked so hard to get you into in the first place. be well
You have some fantastic content…just subscribed. The sugar/alcohol video brought me here…great job!
Dr berry said salt don’t raise blood pressure. He said salt is an essential nutrient.
I’ve been doing keto and omad and i have crazy headaches. I wad afraid of upping my salts(sodium, potassium) too much as this was recommended by keto and omad experts. This video has calmed my nerves and allowed me to double my salt intake from 1 to 2 teaspoons of keltic salt/himalaya salt a day! Thnx for the great video!!
There is zero proof that salt causes high blood pressure, unless you take extreme amount and your body manage to absorb too much in a short period of time. Normally, nobody is that stupid to take extreme amount of salt. There is huge difference between salts too. It is important that is at least %99+ clean salt and Iodized. For consumption the magic number is 2% salt. The proper salt intake will make you feel better, more hydrated since salt wants more water. Women should rethink how much money they piss around for all sorts cosmetic crap when the solution is proper amount of salt intake, clean water and nutritious food. On the other hand if you want heart race then take less salt and use potassium chloride….please don’t try it. It may kill you!! The reason I mention potassium chloride is because there is more and more canned food and other has “salt substitute” which is potassium chloride. Whoever legislated to use potassium chloride should be laying in jail for lifetime. Consumption food products with potassium chloride as a low salt diet WILL definitely raise your blood pressure and cause muscle pain, etc. Of course the pharma mafia profits from the utter stupidity of the people.
5:12. This is incorrect. U need only look at a container of salt in order to see how much sodium is in it. 1 tsp of ur average table salt contains 2,325 mg of sodium. Which is a decent amount over that 2000 u stated. U only physically need 1500 mg a day. So no, 1 tsp is not too little salt. Obviously different people can have different needs, but ur average joe and Jane out there are not running marathons on the daily and they probably don’t need to replace much lost sodium.
We need ORGANIC Sodium from Fruits and Vegetables. We need Organic Chlorine from Fruits and Vegetables. Which fruit or vegetable do we get INORGANIC SODIUM CHLORIDE from? Rocks?? Our body does not use Sodium Chloride in any shape or form. It is expelled out of the body in its entirety.
During the times of the Samurai, when caught by the enemy they would ingest a mere 30g of salt, thus committing suicide??
“Now sprinkle some more on your salad” says the Doctor.

Salt is literally the least of your concerns In most of the food we eat today, your body is made to process it you just piss out excess
The big pharma rockefeller western death and sickness industrial complex is crumbling to it’s knees. Plandemic hoax! Watch this brand new doc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-cXlZeuzP0
What is the best product or brand to cure your high blood pressure issue naturally? I read a lot of good opinions on the internet about how exactly Hybetez Remedy will help you treat your high blood pressure issue naturally. Has any one tried using this high blood pressure secret remedy?
Since the link from the description (to the actual study for this) 404s:
You may find it here: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/899663
This whole video has alot of misleading information that is too much to put in one comment, for example although the recommended salt intake is too low, Americans eat alooot of salt so almost no one actually follows the recommendations. Another thing is the more salt you eat the less you will taste it, not your total daily intake but the degree of saltiness in every food you taste.
In my house we eat a lot of salt bcoz my mom ate alot of it, once i moved out and tweaked my salt intake I didn’t need as much to taste it. Same thing happened to my siblings.
The idea that health of Koreans is studied based only on their salt and potassium intake is ridiculous, they have a very healthy home cooked diet, you cant have a tunnel vision approach to their health status. Its like when people say french people eat alot of butter and bread so why are they healthy lol.
Also i can tell you as a doctor that if you do have heart failure the you must certainly need to tweak your salt intake because if you don’t, it will lead directly to hospital admissions with pulmonary edema. Also I definitely eat more salt than its recommended even though my intake is lower than alot of people but then again i dont have heart failure.
They always told people no salt cause of high blood pressure. They always says less salt. I am so extremely happy to know this.
So, because salt is possibly bad for people who have cardiovascular issues, or are old and unhealthy, or belong to salt sensitive populations, we need to suggest to the mass populace, which is not high blood pressure, old, or etc. that they need to refrain from intake of salt? Ahem. Lack of salt will kill you, 100%. These correlational studies are not science, they are grant based money farms. If the studies are not done, and you cannot make a claim based on anything other than self-reported diet… do the science and get back with me. I don’t take studies in lieu of scientific experiments. In the meantime, I’m gonna eat salt in moderation, exercise, and refrain from scientifically approved food preservatives. Boom. Go real food. Salt is NOT more dangerous than sugar!
Is salt healthy? The answer is found in the kidneys. The sole function of the kidneys is to filter toxins from the system. How is human salt intake measured by scientist? That’s simple, they measure the amount excreted in a 24 hour urine sample. Why does this work? Because the body removes all toxins from the body and that means it removes all sodium with the exception of what the body needs to function. That amounts to a tiny 30 mg per day out of the typical 6,000 mg the western fast food and restaurant diet provides. The rest is flushed out by the kidneys in the urine. If all that sodium in salt was good for you the body wouldn’t be dumping over 99% of it out via the kidneys. Sodium in excess of the body’s requirements is poison to the human body and brain. It causes high blood pressure over many years which results in heart disease. It contributes to dementia and Erectile dysfunction in the same way. If you’re getting a bit older and have a hard time getting it up, or keeping it up you can thank the salt in your diet.
In school my home economics notes still insist that low salt and low fat is optimal. Don’t know what Im going to answer with in my GCSEs.
5:04
Salt intake below 1.5 tsp, in accordance with most guidelines, pretty much ensures hyponatremia and, consequently, chronic elevation of aldosterone.
4:07
RAAS-elevated aldosterone levels (due to low salt) correlate to abnormal thickening of the heart valves (myocardial fibrosis).
4:21
RAAS blocks eNOS in order to raise blood pressure.
1:37
And here’s why the elderly are at greater risk for all these complications.
Great info but I cannot help but wonder why is there a mixer in your living room?
What is the approximate ratio of sodium:potassium that we should strive to consume daily?
been eating salt for over 84 years. I salt everything, but only sea salt and pink salt. I never had high blood pressure or any heart problems. load of bs.
The more I learn the more I dont know. I don’t know what to believe about anything.
@MrTakeBackAmerica hahaha good luck with that quest buddy….i agree the fluoride in drinking water makes no sense…its in tooth paste we dont need to drink that shyt…..they claim its in water because kids dont brush their teeth…wtf that is stupid
