What kind of greens did you use on the smoothie with the coconut water bannana?
I first saw you guys on Roots and Refuge Farm…good stuff! Your daughter is a hit!
ooooh microgreens!!!! I use cress and love foods with high polyphenols.this was a great video, absolutely jam packed with fab info!!!
Another gem! Thank you #PracticalInspiration! #SecretsSelfmadeBillionaires
My husband makes a dressing of orange juice, shallots, and sesame seeds.
Wow sounds like I need to get into getting more micro greens into my system
Hi jack
I just tried sunflower seeds in last week. I got best results,I tried in water… Thank you
John, if you get bck to me i want to introduce you to soem fabulous trays, they are rigid with lots of holes on t ebottom and will last a lifetime not like teh flimsy ones we see most f teh time, tHANKS
D
Wow! I never knew there was such a thing as micro greens. Amazing information. I learn something new everyday. Thanks for sharing.
Cute family I love that your kids are learning eating healthier at a young age
Awesome! I believe Ima converted microgreen smoothie drinker based on this video. Thanks John!! This was highly educational and very informative.
I think the best way (that you did not talk about) is juicing the microgreens, especially if you are sick. Juicing is the fastest way to get those nutrients into the body and has been scientically tested with the broccoli microgreens.
I first saw you via Justin Rhodes. You are fabulous, you make interesting videos, and the kids are so darn cute. Hugs❤️
Do you mix the seeds together when your sprout them or are they separated? Do you grow for seeds or do you buy them?
Just watching this video for the second time after clicking through from Jess’ video at Roots & Refuge Farm, where she interviewed you and Selah at the Heirloom Expo! I need to get those Bootstrap Farmer trays and get started with growing my own microgreens.
And look at how little Selah was, she has grown SO much in the last year!
Great vid. Short, cute and to the point. Has me wanting to grow some of my own.
I got white hair like mold in my coconut coir plants:(.. I hope the hydrogen peroxide works
I should have gotten a microgreen tray from you when I got the other trays. Speaking of the trays, I completely forgot to get some seeds from you that day. I have a question for Selah. What type of radish microgreens do you like best?
Thanks for the micro-greens information. I will start eating and I also want to do wheat grass for more oxygen in the winter months.
Don’t you think that eating that whole tray would be toxic? I’m all for eating about a quarter of that tray at a time
3:34 lol is it bad that im having my green right now as you say that:) getting both my green intake at the same time.
spines messed up its medical……….
It’s a lot of time an effort for one salad especially if they don’t grow back like green onions do and the coconut husk soil is expensive.
After you cut them, are they still keep growing? Or you have to discard them? Can anyone answer this for me?
I Have a question. In the video the shoots are springing straight up. is this because the roots have penetrated deeply? Also what light source are you using, artificial or direct sunlight? Because i’ve tried growing something similar, (not Microgreens) and the shoots aren’t always this straight.
What happens to the seed hulls that are attached to the first little leaves? Curious.
Thx u so much for finally explaining the details of microgreens.
Can’t wait to see your video showing us how to grow microgreens! My daughter is 5 years old and wants us to start a garden in the spring. Love all the information you share!
She IS a cutie!! So….tell us the process for growing AND, when to harvest micro greens!!
Sir, We tried. My girl loved it. below is our video
https://youtu.be/bCu5-ukiBgw
I have tried to grow raddish microgreens as the technique given by you. But something like white covers come in it. What it called, i don’t know. May be fungus.
Why it occurs and what to do.
Microgreens in salads; my favorite are the cabbage and broccoli with onion chive sprouts. YUM! Even my kids say no salad is as good as those with these sprouts. Did you know that if you grow more than will be used, you can dry them? I just discovered this myself. Drying them means you can powder them and put them in absolutely everything! But I still prefer fresh. Fresh sprouts are like butter, so tender, juicy and flavorful! Thanks for this vid!
okay but does anyone actually know the nutritional value of each microgreens? i’m looking everywhere and i cant get any answers. plz halp
I’m having digestive issues with foods high in phenols like broccoli, apples, tomatoes, spinach and more. I had a biofeedback scan and it said Romaine lettuce was really bad. I may have a mold or fungus issue that makes it worse. Most people do have aspergillus fungus. This is the best way to grow food because they don’t get chemtrails on it, which are dropping lots of aluminum on us.:( We hear in QHHT sessions that you must be growing your own food now.

A lot of false and exaggerate information in this video but good ideas for eating microgreens.
The plane noise is a huge annoyance! I listened for 15 minutes. Use an audio tool to remove those noises, please. Appreciate your videos!
John you’re the man! Great passion for what you love in life and teaching those who want to learn! We re watching your vids from Thailand and spreading your word John!!!
Hello john, I have a vitamix but bought this air unit from your link, I hope you et a few pennies from the sales linked to you,
appreciate all th e good work and noticed you lowered your voice a bit that is great easier to follow you, Wealth of knowledge,
from the GREAT WHITE NORTH! Canada
Where do micro greens come from. something I’ve been searching and havent found yet.
Just so you know, growing coco core makes you have less nutrition. Coco has no nutrition, growing in such a way makes your finished plants, whatever they are, contain less nutrient value.
Can you cite any research that says blending microgreens into a smoothie with a Vitamix destroys their nutritional value?
Which pea seed was you used. Grean pea, chick pea or anpther
Love this video, I make from scratch ranch dressing with my homemade yogurt. Have never grown microgreens before, but the way you’ve explained it looks a lot like how i do my yogurt and bread baking. The routine of making things from scratch as they were meant to be is a very enjoyable habit. I have a small place, but I do have outdoor space, so maybe I’ll start small inside and eventually move outdoors into a modest green house. That blender sounds like the same vacuum in my vacuum sealer. Thanks for such a great video:)
In a bowl with Marie’s blue cheese! Hand Juicing may be better but it tastes weird. Love your content!
Seems like that last drink could’ve used some orange juice or coconut milk.
Thank you for sharing. I was wondering when were you going to share some recipies. Looks great. Will try to eat more microgreens
God bless you.
i herd wheat grass isnt for a human body becasue of how your human body digest wheat grass… example you need multiple stomachs like a cow to digest grass… how do you feel about the wheat grass situation?…
The energy this man has, has me tempted to start eating microgreens. Is he always high strung and hyper like this, or is it the microgreens? Do they act as a natural stimulant??? I will say, it doens’t look very appealing as a smoothie though.
I start laughin so bad when I think they are gonna smoke those green, that’s for sure….
18:00 great info!! I keep hearing juicing is best but I hate throwing out the pulp. This vac.blender makes sense limiting the oxidizing.
What kind or what the brand of the printer can I use for make a microgreen label’s can Recommendation
This might sound silly to ask but I just want to double-check. After the Broccoli Microgreen grows and I harvest the top part, will it still continue to grow continuously if I still take care of it? Or is there a limit to harvesting and soon I’ll need to get new seeds?
I have recently gotten into microgreens and found an opportunity to help grow our community. There is a website that is gathering information and promoting microgreen farmers. Please consider participating in this survey. http://www.imga-microgreens.com/survey.html
The medical medium says nutritional yeast is a form of MSG and does not recommend it. Otherwise great tips.
hi Jag, i know we can grow broccoli or crest sprouts without soil.. and they are clean and dont need them cut just consume them whole with roots.. why are you using soil?
How many days required to harvest the microgreens? And after you harvest it will grown again?thank for the videos its a big help and idea.
John. Do I need nutrients to add to water to grow micro greens.
Wow. I feel like I became health expert after watching this video 😉
Great video. Thanks
Great video, but good gracious…have you seen the cost of the vacuum blenders on Amazon?
Hello John, What I really want is one of your tree collard. Look like amazon only sell the purple one not the green one.
Great information but too much talk. Please keep your videos short
call it nut-juice,milk comes from mammals! 270 bucks is pricey for a blender if it were a 100 dollar less maybe i might be shopping to buy this product!:(
Great video..good info, but I must say I was kinda distracted by how handsome you are…
Well, until you got to the alkaline and acid thing in your diet you had me. That is BS.
Fascinating video! Is it possible to be healthier by eating micro greens in leu of traditionally grown veggies from ground? Reason I’m asking is because the cost of veggies have and continue to skyrocket. And is there ever a insect problem if grown indoors? Thx in advance!!!!
That air free blender sounds like my food saver, lol. I’m really interested in upgrading my blender to an air free!
I’ve only had microgreens one time. But I can’t even remember how they tasted. I think I bought them at a farmers market up in the mountains of NC. But I’m curious how the sunflower ones taste. I will have to grow some and try them out! Great job Selah! You are a natural born star video presenter! Excellent content and presentation! I give you an A+. Journey On!
Just started growing simple things like chives, green onions, and “living lettuce”… want to try micro greens, and this video is better than the other 20+ ones I watched!
lol she really liked your salad but it looks funny in the video. It looks brown and thick but it obviously taste good! Thanks for sharing!
Also raw agri product should still wash it before you eat it…..
What about blending your greens with a good hand blender, does it allow for the same benefits as the other blenders? I find using a hand blender is quick and you just pulse it a bit and you are done blending
Other growers have shown that soaking sunflower seeds does not give better results. Has anyone got proof to the contrary?
You are a gift from God! Wow! I wish I would have seen your videos decades ago. Just discovered you! Thank you so much! Thank you and thank you again! Ive been looking for you all my adult life…..lol! I want to start a microgreen farm right now! Dang! on a tight budget wish you could show me how to start inexpensively
thats so expensive. no one sells microgreens to people in those quantities. they but maybe 10oz a week.
can you use a juicer instead of a blender if so what is the effect?
Balance Diet Dog Food Contains Fresh MicroGreens. balancediet.com Worlds Best Dog Food!

:-)THANKS FOR SHARING THAT’S GREAT VIDEO WITH US LOOKING FORWARD TO LEARNING MORE THANKS AND HAVE A GREAT AND BLESSED DAY:-)
I got my shirt and am already healthier! Keep up the good work. Thanks.
I see many vids of people selling microgreens to restaurants but are there also restaurants growing their own microgreens? Looks to be an ideal setup for in a wine cellar or storage area of a restaurant.
John, if you immediately froze your leftovers do you think they would maintain a significant level of the nutrients?
I just started planting some, this video was very helpful to me, thank you both
I’ve over eaten micro greens. Chormes disease not allow that much fiber
hi your are sharing very useful and resourceful details. but cannot help comment your voice is so husky and nice and your are handsome. sorry I digressed but compliments cannot hurt. I am new gardener and will continue to watch your video for additional tips and information
Hi
Do you keep them in shade when growing micro greens?
On window sill?
Thanks
The gas and bloating from a smoothie comes from the micronized fiber being rapidly decomposed by your gut flora
John from http://www.growingyourgreens.com/ visits City-Hydro in Baltimore, MD who makes over $100,000 a year growing microgreens in a bedroom. Hi, Big Pond, thought you might be interested in this guy’s method. He does not even harvest the greens but takes them to his customers still growing.
Really appreciate John,s diligence, however this video is mistitled. It is more about vacuum blending which we,be heard him bang on about countless times!
More on the plants please!
I have been a fan if yours for many years. I have not had a successful garden but have tried and keep trying. I left a comment before about a website promoting microgreens and people who farm them. They have a survey as part of their efforts. I am leaving the link in hopes you are willing to share it with people who grow microgreens. Please consider participating as well. I spoke with the people who run the website and they are fans if yours as well. http://www.imga-microgreens.com/survey.html
I tired rambo radish and pea shoots. My bf likes radish and I love pea shoots
how long have you been gardening you have a vast amount of knowalge:V:
I tried growing microgreens after watching your video. initially they started very well but after that fungus start appearing and all the seeds die. What could be the reason? please guide
Good stuff. I need to try this. I like to add some grilled cut up chicken breast and extra virgin olive oil to my microgreens. I also like to add some grilled, grass fed & finished ribeye steak.
After growing you can compost the growing medium or add to worm bin. Do not reuse growing medium because the previous roots will decompose and create mold and fungus. This video was 3 weeks worth of work. How did you like the video?
Your daughters name is Selah!! We have a 7 month old and named her Selah, I haven’t heard it anywhere else so I’m glad she’s not the only one! Great video!
I live in Japan, been here awhile, we definitely have a culture of using miso soup, in many recipes, miso is made from the miso bean, and something called dashi, which is just basically a salty flavorued seaweed extract, made by boiling seaweed. Also they make dashi from fish, etc. The thing to watch out for, is MSG, msg is an after product added to miso paste, to cover up and strange other chemical flavors used in cheap products, for example the want to cover the flavor of some unnatural preservatives.
msg is known to be quite toxic to the body, but hasnt really been talked about in the japanese circles, etc ive heard with.
usually you know there is msg in it if you drink the soup, and you have that ahhhh feeling. thats msg. Msg, also is addictive, and it fools the brain, to make you think it is amazing, by utilizing a certain chemical, of the brain, but is a false signal, that is another reason why it is unhealthy. So guys just to be clear if using miso, please make extra sure it says NO MSG.
Thanks for sharing this empowering info. I don’t consciously eat many polyphenols. But I do consume lots of fruits and veg. Will defo look out for these next time I’m shopping
Great information. YOU ROCK and I love my shirt. I even bought another for a friend.
I almost spit my coffee on the screen when she started chowing down on the brown goo he just been licking LOL
I love all your videos and they are very very helpful to a beginner like me! Thank you so much
Hi Daisy, how about flaxseed? I plant it 2 days ago but it doesn’t germinate and I can smell a smelly taste. I cover it and put into a dark place. Is it ok?
We here won’t get crest seeds… Tq so much for the information

Hi Dev! Micro greens for the win. I’m eating spinach right now. I’d love to grow some micro greens myself. Thank you for the suggestion. Namaste
The soil mix is it only coco peat or does it have things like vermicompost etc..
kindly let me know the soil mix you use in detail. I m in India and would want to know the type of soil mix to be used
Imagine sitting next to a guy on the plane who was picking at a salad the entire flight
Excelente explicação. Adotando este método em busca de melhorar minha saúde e da família.
Is cress seeds same as hemp seeds.. as hemp too gets jelly like chia when soaked in water or like d cress seeds that u Showed in this video
Wonderful channel. I just found out about you,I’m so happy abt that.i have a question, can i grow them in tissue paper?
Got a shirt John. But your XXL are not even close to being a XXL. They are XL. But sales are final and Compassion T’s did not offer a solution. Maybe they’re coming from China which has major size discrepancies to America.
Hi I’m new to your site as well. Does it matter what coir u use.?
great video, so clearly explained, I’ve just started my lockdown microgreen project and the results are amazing, I could become a microgreen addict and love nibbling them all day, Ive got mustard, peashoots, cress, and radish…….these things could literally keep you alive, a good prepping item…..seeds.
Do you have any advice with black turtle beans? Are they only edible as sprouts? Or can they be grown into microgreens to eat? I can’t seem to find any information on this particular bean!
Learned something new! Thank you for this. Trying to make my diet a much bigger focus in my life. Great video!!! ✨
My SIL is interested in growing micro greens. Thanks for posting this. Loved Selah’s closing comments. Too cute!
Thank you kindly for the tips. My garden veggies and window herbs are growing wonderfully!!!!
How to know that which seeds need weight over it and which seeds don’t require….? Thanks. Really liked it
Thanks for the info. Micro greens are the easiest to grow. You can live on this.
New friend her wow it so healthy thank you for the nice information.
I bought the Air Free on Monday, can’t wait for its arrival! The bell icon was unticked once more. That happens ever so often.
I have to say your daughter is killing it! The look on her face when you said “40x” had me laughing for an hour!
Can you reuse coir and I assume they cut and come again a couple of times yes?
Very useful video sir.. but I need to know about sunlight exposure
Why do we need to cut only top of the plant. Can we eat whole plant after cleaning?
Your organic farming videos helped me tremendously! Thank you so much John.
There’s more to chewing John!
Chewing enables bacteria in our mouths to reduce nitrate to nitrite, which relaxes the arteries and helps with the formation of NO, nitric oxide. Leave the greens cut and exposed to air for 10 minutes to increase the effect. Makes for good erections too! Got to keep the ladies Happy .
The education of what you were teaching was good after you got past the commercial for the blender. I can’t live your nutrition lifestyle but do what I can. So a $300 tool may not be practical for me. I know past vids you have said…something is better than nothing. Maybe some options for us you can’t buy your blender? Thanks for the vid, I will continue to watch.
can you grow Microgreens from Microgreens like heirloom plants?
I agree that you are totally a couple of cutiepies! Thanks for the info!
Where do I buy the bigger trays that you showed in the beginning of the video? Thanks
1.Can seeds from stores pkts be used? Asking because they appear to have chemicals. Not sure when the chemicals lose effect?
2. How about cabbage sprouts and flax seeds, are they any good?
Do they keep growing after cutting or do I start everything from scratch? Love your channel, keep up the good work:D
Pffft, don’t listen to anyone telling you your videos are too long. They have the choice to not watch or fast forward.
Have u made holes in the box for drainage?? Do these microgreens needed to be put in sunlight or I can keep them inside a room under the white light. Please suggest
No i won’t. They’re extremely expensive and if you have an actual garden, then it’s not worth it.
After the first harvest shall the rest be thrown or should be retain, will it have new leaves for second harvest??
Will adding olive oil slow the air contact like they do to protect the ‘loose wine’ (room temp left over wine with olive oil seperator from air contact) in italy?
how do you get seeds like that? is it different than regular radish seeds?
Your presentation is fantastic and your English is amazing! great job on this, subbed for sure. An outstanding job! Great information. Thanks.
Loved the excited “student” in the background… GREAT facial expressions! Fun and informative video. Thank you! Blessings from the Smyth family.

I would also suggest kale and arugula. I recently did a review of the different kinds of trays, costs, thickness and sources. https://youtu.be/FrgcGLd2xY0
I also shared my tip for bottom-watering regular single trays.
Hey nice video! I would like to start with those seeds, but it seems they are not available in the link you provided. Any trusty link you could add?
Great video about microgreen. Thanks for all the info. I am really interested to get into it. Two questions please. 1) Is there any affordable source from where I can buy coconut coir? 2) Can I reuse the coconut coir, and if so, how many times or for how many days? Thanks and will appreciate your kind reply.
