I actually have a pretty good amount of muscle I am at 95 kg with 6’1 height but I am at 8 % body fat and honestly belive it or not I have a pretty huge cheat meal every weekend and thanks to my insane metabolism It doesn’t affect me at all because I also try to weight myself quite often and when my weight fluctuates I just do a bit of cardio to make it go normal again and that’s it then I normally eat between 3300 and 3600 calories every day to keep my weight and mass with an average of 250 g of protein per day and 240 g of carbs and the rest goes to fats. I used to eat 1900 calories when I was younger and I was skinny fat then I started eating more and more puting like 100 calories more every week till I reached 3500 I puted fat but then the more I worked out and did my daily 30 mins of cardio the more fit I was getting till now.
This is why you gain so much weight eating fast food. It’s so calorie dense. If you want to get big eat high calorie. If you want to get small eat low calorie.

If your 60 to 70 pounds over weight you need to eat 2000 cal of good high protein food to be in a deficeit and maintain what ever muscle and create new muscle you have.

this is bullshit. the skinny fat guys who ask for advice don’t know how to eat or train. they say they’re eating 2k, but they’re not, or they are and they are 5 foot 4. or they are and their NEAT and cardio and intensity in gym is zero. cutting calories a bit, and cutting more when weight plateaus works for everyone because it is physiologically almost impossible for it not to do so. eating more is only good for gaining mass and creating a higher maintenance rate in the very long term when substantial muscle gain over many years has been had, and even then the average intermediate/advanced guy who maintains 15% at 80kg will gain a lot of fat above 2.5k.

Doesn’t it mostly depend on how tall the individual is? Mike is 183cm weighing at 95kg; someone 10cm shorter than him weighing 80kg can proportionally look very similar to Mike physique-wise, yet because of their weight difference the latter individual can easily require 500-600kcal less than Mike does, so he probably only needs about 2500-3000kcal everyday, then in that case 2000kcal actually would’ve been not a bad number to aim for for a 2-to-3-month cutting phase for said individual.
So I guess instead of “What would happen if you only ate 2,000 calories a day?”, the title would’ve been better if it says “What would happen if you eat at a 1500-calorie deficit a day?” but welp I guess that’s a lot less intuitive and probably would’ve gotten him less views so…

I am not all that lean but you know normal weight and I dropped to an average of 2500 calories a day and 20-30 minutes of resistance training 6x a week. I was dropping over 3lbs a day. I was previously maintaining weight at about 3500 when I was a little overweight. I was amazed how little I needed to do to get the results.
I did for a month 2000 calories on keto. I lost weight, stayed off had results. Then I did 3 day fast reached all life low. After that I started eating everything. Worth it. Gained some, still lower than starting weight.

I was eating 2300 calories a day for about 6 weeks and made slow progress on my weight loss. As soon as I cut it down to 1800, I started binging the point that I returned to my starting weight. Yes, I too am guilty of jumping from diet plan to others as well, I do believe that I must have tested every single weight-loss system that was available, but in the end not one of them made it easier for me to lose and maintain the weight off. I ended up trying for the very last time with the Fenoboci Diet Plan because my friend who told me amazing things about it and so far to date I have successfully dropped 18 lbs within 4 weeks!

In Uni we just did a lab where we had to measure one meal that we’ve eaten and compared it to DV%, I choose a single Wendy’s baconator, large fry, large Coke, and small frosty. The daily recommended sugar was 50gs, I ate 159gs. The Prof. And literally my lab mates were worried for my health. They literally had to dump a third of the bag of sugar for me. One lab mate whispered I don’t think we’ll have enough sugar for every group, and all others swore off Wendy’s.

I’ve always been a skinny guy (5’9″ 133lbs default) with an unbelievable fast methabolism, so I first started by going for 2500cal/day and got very poor results, so now I have been eating around 3000cal per day (which is very hard) for almost two months and I have gained 20 pounds! I don’t know how much is muscle and how much is fat but I’m looking better.

The biggest misconception about Diet Coke is that it’s better for you. It’s actually worse. The sweeteners they put in Diet Coke are worse than sugar. Everything has natural sugar in it but adding substitute sweeteners mixed with natural sugar is way more diabetic. So there would be more calories in a Diet Coke than a regular coke also regular coke tastes better.

If someone is not progressing in muscle by eating 2000 calories does not mean you need to eat more. 2000 to 2500 of calories is Plenty enough to build muscle. Most people who goes to the gym don’t lift hard enough to go get the muscles to grow. Meaning when they do their last one to two set they stop at 8 to 12 reps when they can do 1 to 5 more. Their muscle doesn’t have a reason to grow. Yes, it is easier to eat more to muscle more muscle but once you gain that 5 to 10 lb you still need to lose thr fat which more who bulk (switch I’m getting from this video) will do a crash diet in a short time and they will lose some muscle just because they are trying to lose the weight fast which they added fat from the bulk.
My point is over loading the muscle in the gym is more important than eating more. Most people eat too much anyway.

We don’t need sugar at all to live, so why is there a % DV for it? Esp added sugars like fructose that is detrimental to our health. Wanna know why we are all getting so sick with “new” diseases? Just take a look into what we are consuming and what is being put inside our bodies.
