Eating a salad as a meal can give you several servings of fruits and vegetables. Start with some lettuce and add sliced tomatoes, apples, pears, berries, celery, cucumbers, sprouts, raw green beans, broccoli or cauliflower. There’s this sparkling flavoured water I think called AHA (idk that’s what the letters look like) that no matter what flavour it’s never strong enough and theres some sort of gross flavour that I compare to gasoline lol. I think it’s the flavour from carbonation.
Bc unlike pop, it’s not syrup, there’s barely any flavour to overpower that gross carbonation flavour.
I heard people drank carbonation water bc they’re trying to get OFF of pop. It just made me want it more.

I’m pretty picky, so I’ve been trying to get myself to eat more foods. I like most fruitsstrawberries, blueberries, pineapple, mango, kiwi, dragonfruit, blackberries, raspberries. You name it. I’m really big on texture, so I like the taste of banana, but I hate the texture and I can never eat it. I also hate tomatoes. I can’t eat raw tomatoes. I can eat them in different ways but not raw. With vegetables, I’m pretty much the same. Hate the texture of onion but love the flavor. So I’m trying really hard to incorporate these foods into my diet. Thank you for this video:’)

I would LOVE to be one of those people who looks at a salad or something with lots of tomatoes etc and says “omg that looks so good its making my mouth water” well wait.. it DOES make my mouth water but.. not in a good way lol

It’s texture more than taste for me, but it’s taste as well for things like cruciferous vegetables. I would know there is kale in a smoothie because it’s bitter and takes over. It’s like chewing aspirin.

Great point about how many of us have been served vegetables that were overcooked (their color changes can indicate that before we even feel the texture). That’s common in many diners and chain restaurants. I don’t like boiled vegetables (except corn), but roasted is doable. So is lightly stir-fried. The best carrots and squash I ever tasted were prepared in a Thai restaurant. I still eat vegetables mostly raw, and I make lazy-day gazpacho with tomato juice, minced cucumbers and bell pepper, garlic, and fresh salsa (from a tub, not jar).

Ok I’m probably gonna piss you off a bit and I’m sorry. But everything you said is completely impossible for so many people. The texture the taste the smell. It goes in hand with even most fruits. I am on a journey. I struggle with ibs. My whole life my family would try to get me to eat vegetables and fruits and I throw them up. In smoothies, hidden in ways like cauliflower mash potatoes or banana pancakes. I can’t stand them. And I’ve met so many others that struggle with this too and end up suffering because they aren’t able to get the nutrients they need. The only solution is to hide the vegetables in a way we don’t know of yet. Cook these health foods into safe foods. Idk how but I’m gonna find a way. Its completely debilitating to feel like there’s no way to be healthy and everyone recommends the same things that don’t work. I thank you for trying to help but the problem is so much bigger than cooking vegetables in a tastier way or hiding them in a smoothie when most people that can’t eat vegetables can’t drink smoothies either bc of the texture.

Im a 32 year old man and ive never liked veg apart from potates, funny thing is i like certain soups and theres mixed veg in that but ive never liked the taste of veg in my mouth
I hate vegetables. I do love smoothies with them though. Which is what I want to do. Have my days worth of vitamins and veggies in a smoothie then having things like salads for the rest of the day. I also sadly hate the taste of grilled food in general. Especially chicken. So instead I bake lightly breaded chicken tenders and chop them up and put them in a healthy salad. I’m also gonna focus on fitness too which for me someone extremely picky will simply have to do more than the normal person.
Well I wonder if I’ll ever enjoy eating again. I changed my diet to mainly vegetables/fruits/nuts/rice etc and vegan, but eating vegetables is a challenge for me. I don’t dislike them but once I start eating I get nausea and just scarf it down to get over with it. I tried different ways but it keeps tasting the same. It drives me crazy. No sugar, no flour, no nothing… anything that tasts good I had to cut out of my life. And now it feels like even the last little spark for food is gone, too. Id prefer to not eat anymore vs forcing myself to scarf down these damn vegetables…

For me vegetables and fruit are disgusting. For example if someone dropped an apple on the floor and squashed it or a pea I would gag. I keep on making false promises to myself… when does it stop? When will I be a normal eater?

Never liked fruits and select veggies in my life( never ever even eaten one).But about 2 years ago i started liking salads, so from that i started to like veggies way more, but again i hated fruits. Today, after watching this video, i put a strawberey in my mouth and at first i didn’t like it at all, it was really sour but bite after bite it got sweeter. Anyway just wanna say thank you! I noticed I am very picky when it comes to vegetables by themselves, but when mixed into a lasagna or soup for example they taste amazing. So I think I’ll try to eat different dishes that involve these certain veggies to one day it them by itself or in a salad.
I’ll also try snacking on fruits too! (Cantaloupe, melon, mango, and watermelon, I don’t really like these )
mixing something you love with something you hate is a great way to overcome not liking something

Bruh I hate vegetables, i can only eat potatoes and lettuce and celery but thats about it. Like I am a really picky too. But disguising vegetables sound good. But like I see people eat salad everywhere and when I tried it with ranch my breathe smelled so bad. But i know taking gummies for certain stuff doesn’t help. My parents have often made and served even forced me and my brother to eat vegetables (fruits have never been much of a problem, most I like some I don’t) but I just don’t like them, I do not like the taste and sometimes the consistency. The funny thing is i do like well even love some vegetable soups and some (like carrots, tomatoes and cucumber) raw, though I don’t find them the best and therefore don’t reach for them very often. Besides the soup I don’t really like vegetables though, which annoys me cause I want to like them and I want to eat them and live a healthier lifestyle, it’s just very hard. I Especially don’t like them roasted My mother once said she doesn’t understand how I can’t love them because she loves them so much and can’t relate and honestly I feel the same way, how come I dislike the so much and find them so bad tasting when others like them so much and some even on the level of candy

i hate vegetables and even some fruits. if theres a piece of tomato on my pizza i wont eat it. i really wanna live healthier but i just cant. i dont even want to try them. hell, i dont eat anything besides pizza, pasta and stuff like that. i really dont wanna do that anymore, does anyone have tips for me? (i do like smoothies)
i’ve honestly disliked vegetables ever since i was a child:(( i think it’s because the way my family cooks vegetables made me dislike them. but one day my mom made this delicious rich, creamy broccoli soup and it gave me the idea of making homemade soups to incorporate vegetables into my diet and it’s worked really well!

I like vegtabels like carrots tomatoes cucumbers salad leafs and many more but the problem is my mother cooks them in arabic recipes if I tell her she says just don’t eat it and get it for breakfast tomorrow! When I tell her to cook them I other style she says it tastes not good when we get food at school it’s good t

I absolutely love cauliflower(my favourite vegetable), potatoes, tomatoes, okra,green beans, Malabar spinach, pumpkins,sweet potatoes, cucumbers,ivy gourd, cabbage,brinjals, plantains, tender jackfruit, capsicums, kohlrabi etc. I can’t imagine my life without them. I think the reason why some people don’t like vegetables is because they don’t prepare and season them properly. When prepared in a right way, veggies can be really delicious. Sometimes in my home,we season the veggies with salt and coat them with semolina ( we add a little bit of salt and some red chilli powder to semolina ) and pan fry them with little bit of oil until crispy. It is one of my favourite ways to eat vegetables( This method doesn’t work for all veggies). Soups are great too. If you eat fried rice or pasta, add generous amount Vegetables to it. Vegetables can taste great but you should never judge them by their texture.
Literally the only fruits I can eat are bananas cherries and blueberries. The only vegetables I can eat are potatoes lettuce and corn. But the thing is I CAN eat them, I dont necessary LIKE them so I basically never eat them anyways. I hate my tastebuds.
sometimes i don’t like the taste of food but most of the time the reason i don’t like certain foods is because of the texture and i absolutely hate that. like if the texture isn’t hitting right, i really won’t like the food. but i want to eat healthier so badly!
