I had a gore-tex coat it worked great until it didn’t, eventually it just dies!!
I used a pair of Oboz Bridger BDry mids on a hike in the snow and absolutely loved them!!! They kept my feet warm and dry despite being covered in snow for several days and freezing conditions over night.
I quote what you saidnon gortex are always going to be more breathable! utter lie!!!!
I’ll try them right now.I just have to buy them.is it worth it tho?
To the one percent of people reading this have a good day and remember that hope is in OUR hands and if we want to be happy, then WE have to CHOOSE to be happy.
Also every sub counts!☺
When you realized mrbeast said the f word you turn into chanler
Those second pair look cyberpunk. I need them. The Jordan Why Not zero.3 and the Lebron Soldier 13 have a great anti-slip tread. The Soldiers are squeaky indoors when wet though.
I saw that people were saying that he accidentally cursed but its kinda obvious that he ment to curse you have to understand that hes getting older
Wait so ur say if we water proof the diepers what if they pooh
Ok sure but in the pouring rain there’s still a massive hole at the top of the shoe…it would still seep near you ankle and wouldn’t drain out cuz of the waterproof material.
Anyone else uses flip flops on snow and on heavy rain??? or its just me
goretex do get comprised but it takes about a year if not longer
Tavy peter
I totally agree. I have had seven pairs of gortex footwear and the make you feet seat and the soon let in water. For me Hanwag Lhasa are the best walking boot currently available (No Gortex)
Bro those Vans MTE are amazing I’ve had mine for a good 2 years in a honey color with the timberland laces.
They last so long and I still love them till this day
Great video!
This must work super well in the winter in Iceland when it isn’t snowing
Sounds like she just wants to prove goretex sucks but has no reasoning behind it. She saids her feet get more sweaty wearing goretex mind you it is while she is out in I’m sure hot days and walking miles upon miles upon miles well yea that’s pretty obvious. Nike fly knit running shoes will let your foot breath more but that doesn’t mean they are better or that goretex is worse and then she saids water will eventually get in somehow because there’s holes in top where you put your feet in, that would mean she’s walking through rivers with the shoes on which she shouldn’t be. Lastly, she said it so time consuming taking goretex shoes on and off to cross rivers if there’s multiple rivers, ummm these shoes are possibly the quickest and fastest shoes to put on and take off that I own because of the lacing system. She is just making a bunch of irrelevant excuses because for some reason she has it out to bash goretex lol
I thought water repellent shoes prevent people from drowning in the deep water…
I’ve bought the Timberland 6 inch premium boots because of all that hype, and it’s really nice premium working fashion sample boot. Alto no matter how many times I’ll try, I’m getting back to sneakers, because my feets getting beaten, air force 1 get me full day of wearing it same feeling as timbers after two hours
dude, did you just pronounced Saucony as “Sock kuh Knee” lmfao….
Don’t try to “KEEP” your feet dry. The trick is to “LET” your feet dry!
I’m with the lass here no gore-tex for me. GA-ME ’06
Another great video O.G. I can’t wait until your channel really blows up!!!
They said the F word-
Why did ur guys say the f word just why
Intro is important you should definitely change your intro and music that really effects audience
Instead on spending 50 dollers on them dusty ass trainers, just buy crep protect and just spray them on to your shoes. Thank me later
i hike in the early spring and very late fall in Michigan. My Gore-tex boots do an excellent job unless i wade in deep water and water comes in over their tops.
I used Gore-Tex lined leather boots that could be resoled. My hikes kept getting postponed but my landscaping jobs just kept coming. I finally got away to the trail again in 2015 with a worn down set of second soles. My feet were dry and warm but I wasn’t getting traction from the worn flat Vibram soles. I just “forgot” them next to a motel parking lot on my way out of town one day. Even after many years of daily wear the Gore-Tex and leather was still fully functional. Maybe that had something to do with occasionally blowing the dust out of them with a commercial back worn leaf blower But ditto the dry times and humidity capture on dry days. I would still prefer Gore-Tex in freeze and thaw/ freeze and thaw weather.
No offense, but this seems like a typical inexperienced hiker video. If you’re an avid hiker you probably have multiple pairs of boots, trail runners, low or mid hiking shoes. And probably half of those shoes are gore-tex or water proof. Unless you only hike in the desert, you probably want some kind of water proofing for walking in wet conditions. Sweaty feet or soaked feet, which sounds better?
These are all just buckets of water on your feet I don’t see how they can protect your feet in pouring rain!
I have all waterproof items I have car waterproof even my dog does have too
All we need now is the rest of the outfit! So u never have to worry about getting wet! Well of course if u use them,
Jeff,
Love the channel. Love what your doing. Keep it up.
SALUTE.
I have tried wearing my ultra boost during winter and I almost died.
The shoes there people barley have it should’ve had a more environmental list shoes that most people have like 6s you dk t wanna wear black 6s in bad weather it’ll ruin the suede
Unpopular opinion but ll bean duck boots are great for any rough weather
Necessary video today. I just purchased a pair of Ugg’s myself. You put up some nice kicks today. Salute.
Mine are nike roshie run camo with black sole, for the rainy state of oregon.
Y’all can head up to DSW and get a spray that works on any porous material(not leather) and it makes it water resistant. I recommend at least 3 coats.
When yer gore-tex ain’t drah, take a lah. When yer gore-tex ain’t wet, set a bet.
Can we get wetsuits for our furry friends my cat always comes home muddy from rolling in the mud by the stream.
If your feet sweat at all (the way that feet kinda do) these probably get so moist and uncomfortable
Love your videos and enthusiasm. As far as Gore-Tex footwear goes, I totally agree with you. My first experience with Gore-Tex shoes was on the Nepali coast in Hawaii, rains constantly and since Gore-Tex footwear was a new concept at the time, I assumed that they’d be a perfect choice for that trail. Wrong! Once my feet became wet, they stayed wet and there was no drying those shoes. My feet were waterlogged and nearly rubbed raw. I do like Gore-Tex jackets and as long as they are worn loose and ventilated well, they are great at keeping me dry, mostly. Shoes and boots are ok in Gore-Tex for use around town on a very rainy day, more comfortable than wet shoes but then you’re not walking far in them. On the trail, never Gore-tex shoes or boots for me. Thanks for your vids and your smile.
Legit they look amazing put a Nike or adidas logo on them and everyone will wear them
wait a damn second. isnt there a waterproof liquid that you can put onto your shoes?
I was issued boots GP in the ’70’s and I still use them today, replacement ones obviously, I wear my GP’s whenever I go bush. I wore them after I took off my greens and put on my blue uniform. I wore them as a security guard etc. I keep them highly polished and use proper parade gloss boot polish as it has different ingredients to ordinary polish that makes them more supple, waterproof, longer lasting and healthier for my feet.
Every youtube comment section ever: Hey, I like them, they work for me, so you are WRONG!
I wonder how much time human evolution need until people stop being solely focused on themselves and stop taking their individual opinions and experiences as general truth.
see i love GTX for damp soggy britain. for hot dry climate i can see it being more of a sweat fest

In your opinion how wet and cold does it have to be for Gore-Tex to be a better option than breathability and wool socks?
Just a heads up. Goretex is more splash proof or light rain. They are not waterproof. This is from my own personal experience from multiple goretex shoe products. I even tested when new. In rain, your feet will get damp.
Goretex is a compromise. I feel they are good if the ground is wet(not raining) or any place you might accidentally step into a puddle. Also, to consider. They run the feet hot because it blocks a lot of air.
Am I the only one that watched this video, thought that they walked on water?
>>-> Video Message: Gore-Tex TRAIL RUNNERS don’t keep my abnormally sweaty feet dry, especially when I’m wading through rivers.
Came hear to look for shoes. Lidgit thought it was Samuel L Jackson
This is funny to me.
People actually waste money on, “brands”.
LMFAO.
Definitely, some good points and everyone has to use what makes them happy based on environmental and personal factors and to be honest, I’ve never understood the point of GTX lowcut shoes/boots. All you’ve done is put a short cup at the bottom of your body. GTX is meant to work as a “shelter” if you will from rain/water. I’ve learned the most effective use of GTX is as a system but only is effective if you work from the top down. Boots are only to keep your feet protected from the height of the boot/shoe down and underneath. If you want to keep water from going in the “big giant hole on top”, you have to wear pants over them. The best way to keep water from running into your pants at the top is to wear a jacket with a hood over the pants, pants over the boots. If the only layer of GTX you have on is essentially a receptacle at the bottom of a structure (your body in this case), of course, it’s going to hold all the water that runs into it. Between my military experience and hunting/backpacking, I have many miles wearing GTX “boots” and I can say they’ve quite literally been one of the most useful pieces of kit that kept me mobile. Sure, when it’s warm, and my feet start to sweat, I just learned to rotate socks a little more or some foot powder but overall, well worth it for the cold and wet. Again, environmental factors are always considered.
Gore-Tex loses its waterproof surface chemical character over time, especially when exposed to water. Goretex admits this openly, even to the point of suggesting washing their clothes as minimally as possible. I do not subscribe to their reactivating of the chemical thru gentle heat, nor their reapplication of the chemical; I’ve tried both, they do not work. I, from my experience, particularly do not agree with their dual waterproofness theory of the chemical and the membrane…if either is waterproof unto itself, they other would not be necessary. That the chemical comes off over time and the garment becomes water pervious has been my experience. Ymmv I feel, after years of investing in Goretex raincoats and shoes, that they are not worth the difference in price. So, I agree with what you said in the video, Dixie. https://www.gore-tex.com/blog/restore-durable-water-repellency-raingear
This is the difference between us and uk. Its never dry here
Never understood Gore-tex hiking shoes, as water comes over top. I’ve got Gore-tex oversocks, that I wear in wet conditions with non waterproof hiking shoes. As they come up leg about 12″ they afford a higher height water proofing. My hiking boots are Gore-tex waterproof, and generally keep my foot from being soaked, (when I use rain pants or gaiters.) Though in heavy rain, my sweat will leave leave my socks very damp. My winter, work, and my motorcycle boots are all Gore-tex, and seldom have sweat problems there,(same problem as my hikers.) Gore-Tex is great in the right situation, and horrible in others. Companies need to learn “less is more,” most often. Gore-tex Jackets, overpants, motorcycle gear, even some gloves, can be great, but in shoes that can’t handle potholes deep puddles in the city, not the right application. BTW hope you never dealt with that salesman again. Just sayin.
I have Gore-Tex hunting boots for fishing and hiking around Buffalo River in Arkansas and lakes they are perfect for me and waterproof and not ideal for summer at all.I would rather wear water shoes that made for wading in lakes rivers, creeks in summer,it really is a great cold river,Creek crossing in spring, fall, winter I got at Bass Pro Shops for $200. Dollars it a Wolverine 10 inch high boots with 600 grams Thinsulate Ultra, camouflage size 13 works great on icy forest and road, wet rocks.
The two dislikes on here are morons like people who speed during the first rain of the year when it’s slippery.
Just made a Gore-tex mask. Testing it out on rainy run. Wish me luck.
Everyone has their favorite style.
I found Gore Tex in boots ok in light rain or snow but not ok if they actually get Wet inside.
A bigger issue is the quality of socks. Nothing works better than high-quality wool, thick or thin. For something light, even year-round and for women, try Pendleton or Boardroom dress brands, in mid-calf length. Worth every penny. Cooler and dryer in summer, warmer in winter. Easy to hand wash and will dry quickly.
They should rain boots like those but not loose, tight so no water would go in
I have been wearing leather boots and they are not that breathable and comfy as my light weight goretex boots. I wear goretex and at certain point water start entering but slow, but I am perfectly ok when at the same time wearing waterproof socks like the dexshell ones that combine organic and synthetic materials. If I need to work for a long period of time in a terrain with a lot of spines and not too much climbing, I would prefer leather because of durability, but for irregular terrain in short to two week hiking trips I would go with my goretex ultralight weight comfy boots
This is obviously an advertisement but it isn’t indicated anywhere. That goes against YouTube’s Terms of Service.
Puma a must
Chelsea boot yup
Rock port hot!!
Vans Skate definately my fab
Ugg are must have
The wingtip
Cole haan a fav
Converse classic
The Wellington is a shocker
If I had to do a lot of stream crossing, i would use a trail runner that’s designed for obstacle racing like the Reebok Super All Terrain 3.0 or Craze 2 which have water channels inside the shoe to allow the water to flow out of the shoe. Also, I had hiking boots with Gore-Tex XTR which are a little more breathable. When I wear Gore-tex jackets, pants and shoes, i feel really moist inside. it feels moist in excess and weird way. It’s not that breathable. I feel more comfortable in non-Gore-Tex when I hike in the rain.
¡You are the freakin´G.O.A.T.!
Im living at the Caribbean and looking for a pair that can handle the extreme heat and rain.
Gore-Tex eventually leak, in my experience and I’ve owned 4 pairs of footwear with Gore-Tex.
Me over here thinking that my keyboard coasted 149$ and he just ruined one
These are all dead lol.. Air max 90 Winter Premium…. Beats all these. £125
It’s winter and I’m wearing Reebok’s to school and changing into adidas Deerupts at school
My main issue with GORE-TEX and any other fabric boot is that they just don’t last as long as leather boots. The areas I hike in usually have no trails, fine dust/sand and a lot of loose rocks.
So I’ve managed to destroy fabric boots within one season, usually only lasting me around 150 km while leather boots have lasted me multiple season and didn’t start showing any wear until at least the 200 km mark.
But again, I’m hiking in more rough environments than the “average” hiker.
I tend to alternate daily between GI desert boots and USAF (Gore Tex) flight line boots. Not that much difference.
USAF boots are warmer. Though insulated they’re OK even for summer wear.
Desert boots, with thick wool socks, handle moderate winter well. If you’re actively walking, they tend to dry quickly.
I think Gore Tex has just lost some of its sizzle. With all the motion and pressure in a shoe, I don’t expect Gore Tex to last long.
Wonder if it will affect the breathability of non gore-tex shoe by spraying those aftermarket waterproof spray? eg 3M’s Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield.
Mr beast do you use drugs because theres a sign there said yes I do drugs
I have the lunar force duckboot v2 they are very comfortable and they are rain proof
Unsustainable arguments about the Gore Tex membrane applied in shoes.
Appreciated the opinion though.
But I have Gore Tex boots and I cross rivers where water isn’t deep. I go around deep puddles, not through them. So basically keeping my ankles above the water level and I am always dry.
About the vapour. Wearing wool socks in a Gore Tex shoes actually do the job perfectly!
Wearing wool outdoor is actually recommended each season.
Try it out!
Good luck:)
Some of your photos above show shoes with removable pads. Did those come with the shoe, or do you add a foam pad/insert?
I tend to agree, never a hiking boot fan always a shoe guy with that said you should try gaiters. not only do they give you a extra level of dryness but they also keep all the rocks, dust and sticks out of your shoes.
If yup put it on a boat it will float cuz boats float without it
I hate gortex. Non gortex is the best. Especially for a quick dry.
Wore a pair of vapormaxes on a icy day and fell over 100 times
75% of people here thought they would be able to walk on water
Hey, I really appreciate your videos. I am a new hiker and there is so much information out there it’s a challenge to know what to believe sometimes, but you have an authenticity to you that comes from experience, not merely because you are being paid to say such and such. Thank you. I would love to see a video on your experience with both boots and trail runners, unless you’ve already made one.
You should do a video spring and summer sneaker and shoes, water proof bout is going keep you feet fresh, no to hot spring, summer
I totally agree with you, gore-tex works poorly. Especially on thru hike. But on day trips, and trips that max last a few days, they work well. Have tried many different ones. One brand stands out, the brand Alfa. Dries fast, quite airy and good quality.
I love gortex. I hate wet shoes, they are like stepping in poo barefoot Plus, think about the extra weight you carry when your shoes are water logged. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep my shoes dry.
palladium crushions. dope traction and the super thick mid means you’re above any big puddles.
1st shoe …..no!
2nd shoe …..yeah I feel you
3rd shoe …dope
4th shoe …..of course…
5th shoe …..im not a fan of Adidas yeezy none of that…just ORIGINAL shell tops
the only valid reason is the heat, everything else is either improper use or things you didn’t test (by your own admission) so… not a very fact based objective video
Soooo where are the vans?, why u be sucking on ultraboost manee
Yep, don’t pay extra for gortex trainers, but do pay extra for gortex boots especially mountain hiking boots b2.
guess I don’t have to watch the video when the title says it all
I’m an old guy that started hiking again, and I got a pair of waterproof boots, but not gore tex. They were awful. I still wear them in the winter in Wisconsin when I walk my dog. I ended up with trail runners also. I had the same achilles problem. I don’t know if it was with the boot or not to be honest, but a good trail running shoe with gel soles seemed to help the most after the injury to get it to heal. It took forever, even then. I think most people would be better off without the ankle protection unless they are carrying too much weight in the first place, and then they would be much better off getting rid of some of the weight, or losing it on a diet. Be careful about walking barefoot with any kind of weight also, because I hurt an arch doing that. I needed the cushion and arch support more than anything else.
Hi, I completely understand your reasoning. My only Gore-Tex was a zip up outer shell for the upper body, never needed Gore-Tex socks nor Gore-Tex shoes. My experience in hiking is using regular trail shoes or boots, and wool socks. Wool socks are many times better than cotton or synthetic; search about wool socks. In the military, a gazillion miles of hikes, it was wool socks and leather boots, then for ventilation and water drainage they went to boots with fabric on the sides.
I like the pumas, chucks, & vans. The boots are ok too but the ones with the flannel look best to me. Great video
Salt from sweat stops gore tex from being breathable. Smart to soak them in water from time to time.
Top 5 shoes for bad weather
1. OFF WHITE Jordan 1s Europe Exclusive
2.OFF WHITE white air prestos
3.Jordan 11 Concords
4.Air Force 1 coke white
5. Cream White Yeezys
The duck boots are fine. Wear them for work shoes and haven’t failed me yet. Comfortable shoe to wear all day long.
Non gore-tex running shoes are of course more breathable than gore-tex ones. That goes without saying. Non gore-tex usually have some kind of mesh material. If you use non-gore-tex trail running shoes, you will get wet. But then you will also dry up. It is a personal preference if you prefer that. It is also a question about the climate if it is very cold, having soaking wet feet from stepping into water is not very comfortable.
For hiking boots, it is not the same difference. The ventilation is IMHO not limited by the gore-tex but the outer material leather or what else is used. A good gore-tex hiking boot IMHO does a good job of keeping you dry when stepping in water etc but also venting out sweat. The quality of the boot is what makes a difference in breath-ability, not the gore-tex.
For trail running, I don’t use gore-tex. For serious hiking, I love my Meindl Island Gore-tex boots.
I hear you. You haven’t given me your opinion of Lupe Fiasco. I respect your perspective, that’s why I asked
Not all the shoes got a shot of the tread. And indoor traction needs to be mentioned as sometimes shoes with deeper lugs don’t grip well on vinyl/linoleum tiles. Some don’t even grip well on concrete.
so they said that nike shoes are normal sneakers… SHOTS FIRED XD
Can’t you just spray normal shoes with a waterproof coating?
2:24 I Just got to know that MrBeast pees in his bed.
What cut is your suit? We have a similar body and I’m looking to get one, It looks like a British cut to me, Great moves Jeff keep it up.
Adam
Has anyone offered her cheese to go with all that “whining”?
yeah! flyknit boots and steeltoe sandals!!! has the guy ever weared a boot? it seems like hes talking about things he hasnt even see
I don’t wear jackets because they don’t keep me dry when I go to the pool.
Really surprised by the suggestion of Uggs. Recently purchased and tested, they’ re killin’ it. Another great video Jeff
Completely agree Dixie unless you’re going to venture in snow and ice
Everybodys need to try what suits them, some people sweat more some not, i think these tech membrane footwear are usually better for colder weather
The solution to all the issues you describe is not the type of footwear, it’s carrying a second pair of footwear (even leather combat boots), switching daily and if soaked, and changing your socks regularly. Infantry soldiers have it down to a science.
“An old force’s trick…use baby-talc-powder! It works..And keeps then bone dry(feet)..And no stink to boot..just keep a pack on you at times when you needs..And prolong boot life much longer..( rub-onto-feet )!
d
Although Gore-Tex is not the “silver bullet” for hiking, I disagree on almost everything that you said.
Having good socks, and changing your socks also goes a long way.
What I dont understand is why do people only ever get the Cityscapes? Every review video on here is the same model. No one ever gets the Everyday sneakers, which to me look better as the shoe laces dont go awkwardly as far down the sides of the shoe.
C’mon man! Ultra boost gets all wet in winter, even in rainy weather!!!! You will freeze once your socks and feet get wet! ♀️
Puma Pacer Next SB Winter.
Best bargain. Climaproof and very comfortable.
I have not heard if eVent being used in footwear. It does a good job in bivy sacks and compression sacks.
For bad weather I would recommend not wearing sneakers.
I use alfa bever pro(tall hiking boots) for the winter in norway.
Disappointed with Vessi footwear because they torn after only 2 months of use. And then i reached out to their customer service team. They promised to send me a new pair however they stopped replying and never followed up.
step in a real puddle with your Ultra Boost and see how good they are
His style is a little bit off tho, every now and then he will get it right but every so often he gets it wrong. Love him still and will always follow him.
The shoe may be waterproof but if you were to jump in a puddle your socks would be wet
Can you do video for the most comfortable shoes for same categories
Have you tried Goretex socks with vented shoes? They are I think the best compromise.
Damn Jeff, windowpane with the purple knit..I need access to your closet brotha,Asap..
GoreTex boots/shoes work incredibly well, unless you use them in the wrong way. Don’t blame the product. Believe me, soldiers swear by them, we wear them 24/7. As long as you don’t make a mistake and wear cotton socks, you’ll be just fine.
Two dislikes? Two people actually prefer walking bare feet. Great video as always boss!
Those shelves where you have your shoes on where did you get them from
I have had several pairs of boots with Gore Tex for my farm and they all let my feet get wet in deep wet grass. I wear them only when it’s dry and I use LL Bean hunting boots when it’s wet.
So I’m wondering how many of these commenters have hiked in hand made leather lined boots? And she’s right, some people sweat more than others.
I’ve been wearing Gore Tex most of my life. The most important thing to consider when wearing any footwear is what you wear between your boot and your feet. I find that the “Technical” sock are the worst. And do you wear 1 sock or 2? I’ve worn 2 wool socks every day for the last 25 yrs. Summer or winter, doesn’t matter. With the technical socks, my feet sweat more, stink more, and just feel uncomfortable. I’ve worked outside all my life and mother natures wool is the only way to go.
Or you can just rub wax on your shoes but ok if you wanna waste like $70 on those shoes.
I love Goretex. Ive been hiking for decades in the UK wet climate. I’ve found that wearing merino wool socks with them is the perfect combination. I dont do river crossings very often, but wet grass and mud its great. I hike my dog daily in them in all weather’s and I’m a great fan!
Sucks, water still goes in cause of the height(ankle high) and for rocks terrain it slips so don’t do what they did on this video.
Nike Duck boots V2’s are legit. Comfortable, warm and great for snow and ice
I’d gladly drink your dirty bathwater especially after you have shaved your legs in it ❤️

Often times, it’s as simple as tying your laces differently, it changes the whole shape of the ankle section.
The amount of times I’ve heard people say boots weren’t working for them, this is complete nonsense. Ankle support is critical for hiking, not just avoid twisted ankles, there are also long term effects on the knees and joints, which you’ll know all about in your old age.
the best shoe to ware in bad wether is littlery any muckboots
Hi there, I’m new to hiking. whats your opinion on scarpa leather boots? thx
Beautiful selection brother. Superb video. You deserve more subscribers in my opinion.
my clean room suits are made of gore-tex and I can confirm… sweaty! I have NEVER had smelly shoes before having to enclose my entire body in gore-tex, and now my work shoes(ultraboosts) always smell horrid
I have been buying hunting high top Of 9 to 12 inches high at Walmart for 3 to 6 years, different brands at $35. to $50. dollars about 6 pairs of hunting and hiking boots,I wore it out in from 1988 to 2017, never ever buy any boots from Walmart if you want to have a boots that will last a very long time, and not fall apart on you. So stick with Bass Pro Shops or any Good Outdoors shops that made for year round seasons fishing and hunting and hiking in Arkansas and Missouri.
I bet they are also none breathable and you’ll get yucky sweaty feet all the time
if a little bit of water gets inside the shoe its not coming out
Dud if you waterproofed yourself you would literally become Percy Jackson
Ok so this is really a form over function kinda list, the price of these are ridiculous when you consider a good pair of keens pay for themselves in bad travel conditions. Imagine traveling to India and walking thru the different parts of the country in a any of these shoes. Ridiculous! They would fall apart. The bad conditions this guy is considering is only as bad as stepping in a puddle when walking into the mall from the car.
Danner’s USMC RAT boot are king. Nike should make a Foamposite “work/winterized boot” they’d be so comfortable & durable.
All I can say is.. Read and educate yourself on the use of goretex products.. From Europe to the arctic circle, pamir mountains and jungle, I literally refuse to buy anything that is not Gore for any wet conditions. If you learn how to use it properly, you will never go back, because as much as it can be painful to bite the bullet and pay the price for their products, it is always worth it when it counts. Not to mention any Gore products have to go through Gore quality testing before they allow them to use the membrane.. And yes, you can tell, especially over the long term use in harsh conditions
Full disclosure, I get f*ck all for promoting them. I do however spend 2-3 months travelling at the time minimum and I do give credit where it’s due.
Just buy some boots, boyz, You look waaay sexier in them. First time i ever heard Tims referred to as sneakers. Interesting.
Totally agree Gortex boots same issues for me on a hike unless it’s very cool/cold. Ventilation better. Great video
Merry Christmas!

YES!! The FORM is back with another smash-hit DFP (Daily-Fashion-Pill). Glad you brought back the background music, bro. SALUUUUTE!!
I just bought Nike lunar force duck boot and its the worst shoe ever on wet surfaces. Such a dissapointment and the material is some kind of ruber and it doesnt strectch like lether do, its just not worthed 180 euros. I wouldnt buy them no F way if i knew this.
I bet they the owner of the waterproof shoes put flex seal inside the waterproof shoes
call me basic but the llbean boots are great for all sub freezing weather
The only Nike I like/ wear are the one for running…. all of the other Nike shoes are weird, badly exotic looking and really unattractive.. the designers must be “taking something” before coming up with the ideas of new Nike shoe designs LOL
you have problems with your feets lady jaja gore-tex is awesome 😉 never had a weet feet
I agree with Dixie about goretex, it hasn’t work for me either.
Can confirm the functionality of those Rockport chukkas! I got the black version of those about 2 years ago for £70 and despite the basic glued construction, they’ve survived everything British weather and the miles I’ve walked have thrown at them. Always my go-to in the elements!
TIMS are NOT SNEAKERS, just because people where then with joggers dont make them sneakers
The day they design one that’s water proof and preserves heat to keep your feet warm is the day I buy em
number 5-4-3 are just for the US market… just horrible horrible style, you try to sell them in Italy people will throw them at ya.
You are so right don’t spend extra money for membrane you will destroy soon… Feet don’t breed well in high boots in hot humid situation but with goretex is all even much worse…
goretex is good in cold wet weather, late auttum thru mid spring depending of the alttitude…in summer I switched to outdry from columbia. If I go more then 30km with goretex I change socks at every 3 hours so I will not hurt my feet
It appears my gloves are waater proof

I strongly recommend that anyone considering buying these shoes stay away. The company promises that it will pay for return shipping if the buyer is unsatisfied within 30 days of receiving the shoes. I received my Vessis last week and I don’t like them for multiple reasons. I requested that the company honor its return shipping promise and, despite multiple requests, the company does not respond. When I tried to return the just-received shoes on line, a popup stated that it was too late to return the shoes even though I had just received them. In my opinion, this company is headed for ruin based on its poor customer relations. I recommend: Stay away.
Norvan LD GTX is not waterproof.
terrible product from arcteryx.
Me: ALALALOLALOLOLOLO
waits 5 hours
He never came and now I fully suffocated-
Shes talking trash, gore tex is must for every hiker! Her critics are totally the problem of her foot Not of goretex
gore-tex is pointless when the shoes have a ventillation patch in the top of the shoe above the toes.
each shoe in his intro is 1 frame apart meaning if you push the “>” button on your keyboard you see a different shoe each time in his intro
Yes, we get it theyre waterproof for your feet. But what about dem ankles man. Shit wud be like a sinking boat if it overflooded
The boost are good for rain but not for cold/snow i wore em once outside and my feet were frozen becuse of that mesh type material
no experience with Goretex boots and saying that they will be poor for rain… lol you don’t have a clue miss… gtx boot is a tool and like every tool you need to know how to use them.. since I’ve bought gtx boots my feet is always dry no sweat or water… canny imagine anything else now peace
I was hoping this video was going to bring up the bad impact Gore tex has on the environment in the form of PFAS. It IMPOSSIBLE to buy hiking boots or shoes without Gore Tex or any other form of PFAS here i Scandinavia.
Why the fuck does he sound like the normal guy like exactly like like scary like
Literally every comment in here is just Jimmy about swearing in 2:06
Goretex for the win in outback Australia… ever heard of spinifex?
Vans MTE sk8 Hi are my go to for the rainy months in the PNW
