Wish with all my might I could walk as much as I want to, let alone run. I have awful plantar fasciitis and a horrible supinación (outward gait). I do work hard to help all of it but, well it is what it is & I’m stuck with this. Walkin let alone running like all my brothers n sisters do, isn’t in the future for me.
I bike, exercise vids, and other methods to keep me movin. But I miss runnin. I’m sure my weight loss would be much more if I could run again.

Hi Guys, thank you for this great video. Question….I have stenosis which makes fitness walking very painful after about 10-15 minutes. What is your advice to keep me motivated to keep going? I walk a 1/2 mile track at a pretty good pace but I have to sit and rest before I can do another 1/2 mile. Am I getting the same benefit as someone walking continuously for 30-45 minutes? It is very frustrating. I have the desire to fitness walk but the pain is so intense some days that I can’t continue. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you.

I’ve had back issues as a result of a car accident 27+ years ago. Walking has been a godsend to me regardless of what was going on in my life. Thanks for the reminder that it’s a good habit!
I use pole walking sticks by Keenfit. You can adjust them to the proper height and also adjust the base of the pole to rubber tips or spikes depending on where you’re walking. You automatically improve your posture as you walk and use your arm muscles and back muscles. My Fitbit will oftentimes recognize it as jogging. They are great if you’ve had hip replacement or knee replacements. I took them to London on vacation and was thankful I did as the cobblestone streets we’re quite a challenge.

I am used to walking everywhere because I have not driven a car in almost 24 years due to a chronic medical condition. Sometimes I go out and walk just for the exercise, and because I can go anyplace I want to. One of the fascinating things about walking a lot and not relying on a car is that you get to go exploring and see a lot of things you otherwise wouldn’t notice out of a car window. It is wise to wear a watch or have some means of timing yourself so you know how long you have been outside, because if you decide to wander down a street that you’ve never investigated before it might take a while longer than you’d thought. It might not be a good plan for me to go outside this morning as it is raining right now I keep reminding myself that this will bring May flowers while my inner child pouts and hates being stuck inside.

I just discovered this video I’m 59, very out of shape and quite overweight and though I used to work out and be much thinner, I’ve not been like that for awhile. So, looking for beginner workouts, this popped up, and immediately, I felt this would be effective yet easy to adhere to while working my way back into fitness. So, I subscribed and started reading more about your work and your channel and glancing through other workouts of yours.
1. I cannot believe your age! You look ten years younger than my own daughter who is 33; you look remarkable! What great inspiration you are.
2. I’m so very sorry for the difficulties earlier in your life; you have my sincere sympathies.
3. Your voice is no issue at all, and I think your talking through your videos keeps the user focused. You’re right; if people don’t like it, they can mute it. However, those of us who DO appreciate it are fine with it; no worries.
4. Your videos seem approachable and not overwhelming for beginners, yet challenging enough for those who are more advancedas I used to be an advanced exerciser about a billion years ago I hope I can work my way back up to that level. Today my Pedometer says 15447 steps, 11.5 km and 417 kcal burned.
20,000 steps is my daily target.
I suffered minor Ischemic stroke last year, just walking (sometime fast walking) is a great exercise. I also follow 16 8 intermittent fasting. In last 4 months i have lost 13 kg. Now my vitals; cholesterol, hdl, ldl, triglycerides, BP and sugar are under control.
I just watched this video outside, and LOVED it. I’m super out so it as pretty hard for me though. I’ll do it tomorrow, and the next day! Thank you for motivating me, and i one the timer and how I can walk around a bit!

I would like to say that I’m very pleased to have found you. I just retired in January and was looking for a good workout. Because I belong to a gym, my first choice was Silver Sneakers. I found out quickly that the class was too easy for my fitness level. However, the other classes were too advanced. And so I turned to YouTube. And found you. You are easy to follow, you explain what the moves are about, give us alternatives so that it feels customized. And I personally love hearing your voice….it’s soothing but encouraging. I Love doing your workout’s I do them morning and night twice a day and I got my weight down to 164 pounds From 176 pounds I lost a total of 12 pounds and I also been doing intermittent fasting for 21 days and also in those 21 days I do eat small meals I have been junk food free for two months now and it’s so amazing I will treat myself once a day and that could be fast food or a bowl of chips but I don’t really like to treat myself anymore because it ruins my weight it goes back up I want stay in the 160s I don’t want to be in the 1 70’s or 80’s anymore. I really like to hear what you say. Having not exercised on a consistent basis in years, your cues are really helpful. I also like when I have my choice between two different moves. Many times I do the harder one for as long as I can (20-30 seconds) then switch to the modified or easier one.

I’ve done the 7 minute work for two weeks just to get back into a rhythm. I started the “30 minutes walking at home” today and gratefully I was able to do all exercises, it was tough but I did it. Find it so hard to motivate myself to do exercise but am finding your videos are really working for me! Did the 7 minute waist inch loss one everyday last week. Now on the 15 minute walk at home will do that this week and hope to be on a 30 minute per day one next week! You don’t have to go anywhere to walk. Walk at home, in place or walk around the house. I lost 15 lbs doing that within 2 months and by eating within a caloric deficit. No gym, no membership, just consistency.

These workouts are so doable. The talking is great as it keeps focus and encourages us. When home, I jump on my rebounder for the 30 seconds. Hope this helps me to tone and lose weight.

I love your workouts, short or long, please keep them coming. I’ve been working out since I was 30 years of age, with weights etc. It’s awesome do just do body weight workouts and still get the same results. Now I’m 60 years of age and still going strong, thank God!!!
I had been feeling really depressed and tried looking for an exercise video to do to make me feel better, some of the other exercise videos I find on YouTube were very long winded and as I have a very short attention span, I would give up on them, but then I found your videos, Lucy. Thoroughly enjoyed this workout. My only suggestion is that you slow down the cool down stretches. I felt it was too rushed but other then that really loved the workout.

interestingly my neck pain comes out when I walk, however I walk every week 5-6km once or twice. Lately the pain comes out after around 1 hr walk. I saw elderly people put their arms behind teir back while walking, and that helps. I walk in running shoes. I love those booya sticks btw.

Love this! You guys are GREAT! Thank you for this. And for mentioning footwear. I’m wondering if you’d venture into the minimalist shoe “arena”? A few years ago (before I found you two) I had plantar fasciitis. Toe separators proved instrumental in getting through that. Since then I have paid greater attention and put more effort toward using my foot muscles and stretching my feet etc. Toed shoes and minimalist sandals and shoes have been nothing short of amazing regarding footwear and foot health. I’d love you guys to hit what seems to be a growing “thing” in this regard. Again, many thanks!

You guys are great together. You really helped me stay positive when I was having knee pain. Its feeling much better for now but my doctor told me losing weight would help keep the pain from returning. All the experts agree you lose weight at the intake side. I also always just eat more to make up for calories lost via exercise. Thanks for publishing such positive videos for when people are down from pain.

Great starting exercises for 45+ woman, who is not exercising or walking in her life. The wonder about your videoes are it’s not even making to cheat or skip a day. Now I get free alone time, I think about lucy and start doing a few minutes exercise atleast. Excellent encouraging videoes, watching my determination, my husband started doing this walking exercise. My podiatrist has told me that I’m not allowed to walk for exercise, but with a good pair of shoes, I’m doing it anyway. Got a fitness watch, and started out with a goal of 5000 steps. I’m increasing my goals slowly, but always exceed them. Only problem is uneven sidewalks I’m now nursing a skinned knee!

Just fantastic… I have been doing regular 1-hour workouts in gym since more than one year now, but doing this 15-minute walking exercise since last one week, I am getting more good results. You guys hit the nail on the head with this one. Over the past year I have lost 160 lbs and am nearing my goal weight, less than 10 pounds to go. I lost the first 100 pounds by changing my eating habits and walking, nothing more. Bob’s statement of weight loss is done at the table is absolutely correct. You will NEVER out walk a bad diet. I had a scitica, slipped disk 10 years back,but recovered now,can I do this exercises,as I get pain sometimes in back,other exercises I am doing well, but want to start these too.

I would normally go to the gym 4 times each week and swim at least twice. Since lock down I missed it so much then 4 weeks ago I found your exercises on U Tube wow so inspirational, I do 4 or 5 most mornings and feel brilliant. Lucy has a way of making this workout suitable for people at every fitness level. I consider myself to be pretty fit (running, yoga, dancing for a decade and working a trainer off and on for a couple of years), and this walking and TONING workout still gets my heart rate up and the moves are challenging when you really use your breath and connect your mind to movement. Whoever wanted to try out this workout, please do as you wish. I’m naturally a petite yet a little bit chubby especially on my arms and thighs part. Yet, this workout reaaally helped me. I’m doing this for 4days, and I could see the difference. My body become more toned especially on my thighs. Thank you Lucy I just found your channel whilst surfing for simple easy exercises. I’ve not focused on keeping fit in this way for a while. Group sessions I dread and fear, so a workout to build upon at home is the ideal solution which I had never thought about (one positive that has come out of Covid-19). This is the perfect start and exercises I remember from years back (mostly). I’ve put on weight after a close bereavement, various homelife / personal difficulties and would love to like myself again. Your added motivation tips are excellent, so I will find that jar and start to fill it and not feel guilty when I go and treat myself (non chocolatey of course!) thank you and best wishes.

I just did it and in this workout I burned 130 calories but the distance my Apple Watch showed was 1.12km. Whatever, burned more calories than in a mile walk

I started walking 1 hour 5 days a week at 3.1 mph it is fast but already lost 4.5 pounds in 3 days I weighed 240, now my feet really hurt any suggestions I’m using Skechers memory foam shoes
Great video Von! This was really useful, I think people really do underestimate how vital walking is to our health. It’s almost kind of like an unconscious process. Like looking back at my high school days and constantly walking to class must’ve been at least 30 minutes a day for me. Nowadays it’s not the same lol
