UPDATE: Yesterday the findings of another randomised trial were released, showing that Vitamin D supplementation did not have a significant protective effect on either cancer or heart disease risk: 25 871 participants were randomised to receive either 2000 IU of Vitamin D (Cholecalciferol) or placebo.
After follow up of 5.3 years, there was a 4% reduced chance of cancer and 3% reduced chance of heart disease in the Vitamin D group. However when statistical uncertainty is taken into account, it is very likely that there is actually no benefit from Vitamin D supplementation.

i have both Capsules and 4 liquid oral injections
they prescribed it as follows:
to drink liquid oral injection mixed with water of 300000 IU every 10 days
and the capsule vit D of 5000 IU 125 microgram
to take it every day for 1month

do you think that is too much or not?

I can tell u this…. D3 solved my kidney and kidney\bladder infection problems. Had issues with kidneys for years then started Short term doses 4000\day for a year then backed off to 1000\day over now over 5+ years. It Also leveled out the thyroid numbers.

Our produces 10.000 IU to 20.000 IU if we get enough sunlight. So the 1000 IU recommendation is too low for healthy life under natural conditions.

I take Vitamin D3 supplement daily (2000 IU) even though i live in FLA now. I tend to avoid the sun after having a small basil cell cancer removed via Mohs. There are nicer ways to spend the afternoon than having Mohs, but it wasn’t terrible. Plastic surgery that followed another story…..
Working from home since March so i’m not getting much sun, a bit in the afternoon. I’m not super pale (German-English) but 60 now and skin cancer is more of a concern in a place with 250 really bright sunny days per year….. move back to NY and live in the shadow of skyscrapers? Life can never be risk-free.

If you’re darker skinned 1000IU’s isn’t sufficient. Also sunscreen can block the absorption of vitamin D from the sun. You should take vitamin D with healthy fatty foods ( ex. omega 3) as vitamin D is far soluble.

Vitamin D should always be taken with Vitamin K2 (MK-7) to prevent soft tissue calcification of the kidneys and other soft-tissue parts of the body. Also Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate offers excellent renal protection. Those with kidney problem might want to investigate further.
