Would you say that Pyridoxine is completly useless in the case you have nothing else to hand?
Help!!! I read that anything over 1.6 mg of vitamin b6 is too much but I take a supplement that has 100mg and I take 1 a day… the supplement form doesn’t come in anything less than 100mg at GNC. Am i overdosing.?
Is it alright to take broad vitamin B vitamins if im not that vitamin B deficient
I’m taking for water retention.
Iv heart disease so should I stop taking?
Thanks.
I’m bipolar II and have generalized anxiety disorder. I take hydroxyzine for anxiety and am finding the right meds for the bipolar. For the past week I’ve been taking a b complex vitamin every day, and I’ve noticed that I don’t feel as anxious or unable to think. It’s hard to explain. I simply feel a little more like myself.
Please do more B6 research! An alarming serious study shows that doses above 20mg can cause serious and permanent nerve damage! I know you will do the right thing!
Hi Dr Eric i do have sleep problems so any supplements that can help me?
had it fr years and i feel really tired everyday especially my brains
Pls
Is it good for hair growth?
Pls is it good for hair growth?
And can we talk about how toxic that vitamin can be? I was taking three months and got cramp, tingling, twitching all my body for months. My bone in my left leg was vibrated. I cant tell how uncomfortable was that. I never will take this in thr future, never. Useless also. A lot of food contains ;b6. Eggs, potatoes, chicken, chestnust…. I still have sympthomps from b6 toxicity. Tk cr everyone
Thank you! I will take this. I take B12 because I thought that was my problem and all that my tests show is that I have High B12. I really don’t have more energy. Perhaps I have been taking the wrong B vitamin.:)
What vitamin deffeincy causes one to forget the letter “e” at the end of words?
Not a very illustrative clip and filled with holes. Hope you make a better one. We don’t need to follow blindly but to UNDERSTAND MECHANISMS!!!
Vitamin B6 helps so much w anxiety and depression but this is my prolem
if i take it with water, it gives a negative effect
if i take it with tiny bit of water it gives positive effect
if i take it alone, it gives even more positive effect
If we are deficient, how can not be deficient if it is water soluble and gets excreted?
You know what I don’t understand. Why are there soooo many products being sold with B-5 vitamin aka pantothenic acid) yet they have NOT been evaluated by the FDA?????????????????????????
I try anything at the moment just to get rid of this horrible depression
WAIT! should I treat the cause before using this? Or should I just take more vit b6?
Vitamin B6 is essential for healthy protein metabolism and also supports cardiovascular and nervous system health.
Will this help lower prolactin in males? I’ve read it can shrink pituitary glands that are overactive in producing higher than normal prolactin in males?
Is a multivitamin enough? I’m already taking fish oil and a multi-vitamin. Every time I do my research, it tells me to take another vitamin. I already eat plenty of chicken, fish, and veggies. I drink over a gallon of water each day too
Hello Doc
How much mg of dose you recommend to an adult in a day?
How much would you say is a recommended daily dose of B6 for a 35 y o female? I’m currently taking Mood Boost by LESlabs and it has 5mg per pill.
Dr. Beer where area you from and practice? I just had a TIA and I diont know what to do. I trust what your sayjng
Hi doctor! Can I ask you about neuropathy caused by excess pyridoxin, what are the biochemical basis of them?
Good to know, I’ll go out and get some vitamin b6 supplements!
can homocysteina also be there when the bloodlevels are too high? I was diagnosed (in June) with a toxic level in June and have been ill since stopping the supplements in May(altough i was not taking much, max 25 mcg, organic, not every month)and from one day to the other i stopped drinking too in April. The complaints are similar to the b6 lack, and i have been taking (not ridiculous but mostly sufficient, for years) alchohol, and also have been a vegetarian who became vegan. I read it’s possible that while there may be a ‘stack’ in the blood, on a cellular level there might be a deep lack. What are your thoughts on this? Thanking you in advance (I go see a neurologist this week for the ‘ damage control’..:/ )
thankyou..i have always found B6 makes me feel better..especially mentally. i was told you could be depleted of it because it is water soluble and it gets peed out?.and that it also should always be taken with b complex?
I’m surprised you didn’t mention pyroluria. People with a pyrrole disorder can eat healthy foods (ketogenic even) and still be depleted in Vitamin B6 life long without supplementation.
Not even joking. I’m going to buy some for myself. I got some for my mother. She started having trigger finger. Took her first pill at night. Literally the next morning woke up and pain dramatically dropped.
Is it OK to take 10 different vitamin pills every day? Like Vitamin A, Zinc, Vitamin E, B6 with Magnesium, Omega3, Vitamin D3, etc.
You know what I don’t understand. Why are there soooo many products being sold with B-5 vitamin aka pantothenic acid) yet they have NOT been evaluated by the FDA?????????????????????????
Thank-you Dr. Berg for another video with great information. I wonder if you could please address kryptopyroluria sometime, which causes people to lose zinc, manganese, B6, and biotin through their urine. Thank-you again.
I somehow accidentally, without knowing it, ended up picking one of the best magnesium supplements. I was getting some carpal tunnel and I’ve always had sleep problems, so I got a magnesium supplement to fix the sleep issue, but it also has B6 (your recommended type) and B12 as was as some Folate. On Amazon it’s MagSRT, I don’t take the full recommended dose, just 1 in the morning and 1 at night, but I may kick it up to 2 at night because I noticed some really good results from it.
According to William J Walsh Research Center, you know that you have a Vit B6 deficiency if you are unable to recall what you have read…take Vit B 6 to rectify problem…you know if you have enough when your recall improves…good luck
Dr Jim, is it true that you need more Vitamin B6, if you eat a high protein diet? And how much is more 100mcg a day?
In another video you say that cracks in the corner of your mouth is a sign of B2 deficiency
Hi Dr. Berg I recently found out my b6 very low and was told to take a 100mg over the counter vitamin b6. My b6 is a 9 and I was told it should be at least a 20 range. I’m having numbness, tingling, convlsions, my tongue keeps going left and feels funny all this is on the left side of my body. Almost feels like my body is vibrating is there anything I can do my neurologist nurse has not returned my call since March 29. I’ve called bat least eight times to get info on why I have a b6 defenciency. What can I do I’m eating the b6 foods but nothing is helping. I’m tired of goin to the ER room
Vitamin B6 has helped me so much! I take 100 mgs per day. Before taking this, I had terrible carpal tunnel syndrome!
Can a person overdose on vitamin B-6???? What’s an appropriate dose daily? Is a 100 mg of vitamin B-6 daily too much???? Thank you so much for your efforts, Dr. Berg.
Dr Berg seriously knows his stuff!!! So educational and helpful to millions of people. This is such a great channel
What if I’m so high in B6 can that be a cause for me not sleeping and have sleeping problems (insomnia)
Benzodiazepine Withdrawal, (Xanax, Clonopin…) even Tolerance seem to Need this…
You know what I don’t understand. Why are there soooo many products being sold with B-5 vitamin aka pantothenic acid) yet they have NOT been evaluated by the FDA?????????????????????????
P5P made me dream really bad, can I use just b-6, it doesn’t make me dream
Sir koi suppliment batien vitamin b6 ka Meri age 24 hai or jiske koi side effect nai ho
quick question I’m new to vitamin supplements…I was wondering if you can take a multi vitamin, vitamin b12 complex, iron supplement together?
Dr Berg, I have been tested for severe pyroluria. The zinc picolinate has worked well. However, I have had nothing but negative effects with the P5P really tired, apathetic, depressed, no motivation, foggy memory (cannot think clearly at all) or learn new things. Why is this the case? Should I try normal B6?
I want to thank Dr Berg for all his info given on Body Types and intermittent fasting etc. Since I started following his tips, I’m beginning to loose fat around my middle which have been there for 15 16 years. ( Adrenal Body type). I’ve also been suffering from reflux, indigestion, bloating ( everytime I eat) fatigue, sometimes problem sleeping. Since I came across Dr Berg 6 weeks ago, everything I mentioned above is Gone! Getting slimmer around the waist line. I cannot believe my eyes.. I feel lighter everyday day, have energy all throughout the day and getting the best sleep ever.. The best part is having fun preparing meals which does not feel like hard work anymore.. I’m doing ACV and lemon in the morning, No Sugar whatsoever, 3 meals a day with no Snacking in between, no white rice, cereals, bread etc.. I feel amazing!
So Dr Berg, no words can describe how thankful I am to everything you’re doing to help people like me who has tried all kinds of diet but failed countless times over the years. Thank you once again from my heart.
Dr Berg. Thank you. At the end you said we just need to take ‘some’ of this to feel better, but you didn’t give dosage… I think its really important as apparently we can overdose on it creating toxicity (say various websites). Please could you be specific as I do trust what you say rather than randomly surfing the internet for answers. Thank you.
Dr. Berg i like it when you mess up makes me feel like i can relate to you more and i get more out of your videos. Thanks
Well then people might not want to hear. That a recent study came out that vitamin b6 and b12. Can cause lung cancer in men in heaver doses.:/
Thanks for the Video clip! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you considered Patlarny Bloods Victory Principle (should be on google have a look)? It is a great exclusive product for preventing toxic blood and heart desease without the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my old buddy Taylor at last got astronomical success with it.
The MTHFR mutation intensifies the depletion of B vitamins and yeast, regarding alcohol use and the rise of homocysteine levels, in turn this may lead to cysteine stones.
Does it matter if a person takes Coenzyme Active B6 Caps, P-5-P/PAK or P-5-P (Pyridoxyl 5′ Phosphate) 50 MG? I don’t know the difference, they both contain P5P. Please advise. Love your videos.
press subscribe button………………..then click the ‘bell’, then save.
I’m going to try p5p. I’ve high prolactin at around 600 and I heard p5p brings it down. I’ve had an mri and they cannot see a pituitary tumour. However if I don’t do hanging exercises weekly I get Carple tunnel pain and not sure it’s the same but I get ankle tendinitis plus a lot of water retention with trouble digesting grains and fats. Ive tried a low dose of p5p before (10mg) but will take a higher dose and see what happens.
I do very well on tyrosine when fasting. I guess it helps dopamine and reduces prolactin too.
Dr. Berg I hope you respond to this message just got my vitamin test results back my vitamin B 6 is 112.8 NG/ML is there anyway I could bring you down please help me thank you.
B6 is also needed for your body to correctly produce insulin when you are taking in a lot of carbs. Otherwise you will produce xanthurenic acid and a something that looks like but is not insulin. That’s how they determine if your B6 levels are ok by how much xanthurenic acid is in your urine.
Yes I REALLY DO enjoy & benefit from your videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Information! I am becoming a lot more aware of what I am putting in my body and this information is gold!
Dr berg, I have followed your advice and started 1tbsp apple cider vinegar mixed with half a lemon and 8oz water for past month. Coincidentally I have been suffering terrible bloating in my belly is it possible that acv is making me bloat?
I found that I had a toxic build up of vitamin B6 in my blood due to methylation issues combined with taking a vitamin tablet with inactive B6. Taking PLP (activated version of B6) helped get the B6 into my cells, and helped me feel better.
Hi Dr Berg, I would like to ask you which could be the cause of a high, too high, vitamin B6? I havent been taking any supplements. Could it be because of stress??? How can I reverse it? I have all the symptomps like a person with low B6 but my blood analyse says I have 101,39 ng/ml….
only a small percentage of the world can metabolise b6 in its un active form peroxidine hydrochloride so the active b6 is your best bet active p5p from blue bonnet is the best for your money and it’s non GMO sourced. hope this helps
PL LET ME KNOW ASAP IMMEDIATELY BRAND NAME IN INDIA OF VIT B6 50 OR100MG PL PL. THANKS
Does having Morton’s toe have anything to do with B6? I watched a video about people having Morton’s toe and their body isn’t able to convert B6 to PLP. Please please confirm this for me.
Ahhh I could kiss you right now. When i become a successful doctor because of you. I will make sure to send you a check
It was very helpful. But could you elaborate the functions a bit more
Thanks for sharing, it’s important to spread awareness about this!
Dr. Berg, can you please explain to me why b vitamins knock me out and make me feel exhausted? It is perplexing. I have read that some others have the same problem, but do not understand why? Thank you!!
Just got blood lab work back almost toxic levels so high of B6, Doctor told me to stop taking that vitamin ( I don’t take vitamins ), turns out my melatonin pill which I’ve been taking every night for over a year has vitamin B6 added on label so beware if you get abnormally high B6 readings.
Dr. Berg is the kinda guy that hangs a picture of an avocado in his room.
We have some vegan friends that can benefits from the tips about bananas 😉
Dr. Berg I thank you for all your great info. Please keep making videos more on keto dishes…thnk you
I just got told from Dr my b6 if high. I don’t take b6 I do have alot of food allergies just learned eggs and cow dairy allergic to. That explains alot over the years, so how do I lower my b6 if I don’t even take it ever.? Thanks
I have so many of these symptoms. Trying to wake up from a nap was more recent. I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t wake up! Trying this today.
I eat a lot of eggs, that should be good. Also I know Nutritional yeast is high in B’s, not sure if it’s high in B6 specifically though. Great video!
