16 years ago, I was in hospital with chronic obstructive asthma. I had had asthma for 25 years before this. It frightened me so much that as soon I left hospital, I started researching peoples experiences with treating themselves. The one that jumped out at me for simplicity was to take 2 gms of omega 3 oil and a high dose zinc supplement daily. Since then, I have never has an asthma attack. I do take a peak flow reading about twice a year and it is always between 550 & 600. I am now 68 years old. This worked for me. It may help other asthmatics.

Some studies have shown that coronaviruses (there are several types) have susceptibility to zinc. Zinc can play a role in preventing the virus from entering cells and reduce virulence. Dissolving a zinc lozenge (many contain about 15mg of zinc) to catch the virus while it is still in your oral cavity and nasopharynx this can help prevent it from entering and attaching in the lungs. Have Hypogonadism started TRT and to manage one of the TRTs side effects (thick blood) and prevent possible complications from it i started eating a ton of garlic and a bit of clove daily. Sometimes a bit of ginger too..also heard that pumpkin seeds can lower DHT so i also started eating that daily. But i think i might have run into a problem. My blood got too thin…on the CBC exam all cells are right in the middle of the range..200k platelets..but the coagulogram showed that my blood is not clotting fast enough for the normal parameters. It is good not to overdose yourself with vitamin C not to throw yourself out of the window. I understand that people take blood tests and sometimes too many? Like why??? I encourage anyone interested in “optimum” level of vitamin D to look into the level found in the average lifeguard. Lifeguards, and other outdoor workers, have much more than 80ng/ml (a little direct sun exposure to your arms (if you’re white-skinned) can generate 20,000iu). I’m not saying I know the optimum level, but I bet it’s above 80ng/ml. My bet is backed up by research I’ve seen reported in a couple of UCTV (University of California TV) YouTube videos and other videos where researchers report several very interesting findings. Probably the two most important from my point of view are: (1) you must take vitamin D daily for best results; it’s the blood level of vitamin D itself (not the metabolites like 25hD and 1,25hD) that matters, and this level decreases dramatically in 24 hours; the old thinking that a person can take week’s worth one day a week is contradicted by evidence; and (2) it’s nearly impossible to overdose, and unless you get a lot of sun (or other UVB) exposure, you should probably be taking a minimum of 4,000iu/day. Of course, the best thing to do is get your blood level checked so you know, but as reported elsewhere, the vast majority of people are dramatically deficient. One researcher reported toxicity in an ER admission because an error led the patient to take 1,000,000iu (yes, one million international units) per day for six months. Only after months did the patient suffer enough to seek help. Wow.

If the cold or flu persists it will invariably be reduced in it’s severity and duration… I have experimented with Zinc for years and have found that the earlier you take it (earliest onset of symptoms) the better it works… It is obvious to me now that Zinc is highly effective in producing conditions in the body which successfully fight viral infections. If you have a good immune system to begin with, Zinc will put it into overdrive! It works almost every time.

It appears prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19 with zinc particularly when ability to enter attacked cell is greatly enhanced by ionophores like hydroxychloroquine or the plant-based non-pharmaceutical quercetin.

Not all sunshine can make vitamin d. When the sun is not high in the sun there is not much UV-B, and so little vitamin D is made. UBV also gives you a tan so if your skin is not tanning a bit, you are not making vitamin D.
If blood test shows you are low on Vit D, should you load up with Vit D then take a normal daily dose? or just take a daily dose?

If daily high dosage is up to 40mg, why do companies sell it at 50mg? I bought mine at 25mg and it’s more expensive than the one at 50mg due to different type of zinc. I’m totally puzzled. Anyone care to explain

A lot of the elderberry supplements have zinc included in the supplement I’ve been taking black elderberry for three months it really helps no more runny nose since the gummies seem to work best as they keep phlegm off of your chest better

Astragalus 1500mg
Vitamin D3 10.000ui
MSM 1000mg.
At the morning after breakfast I take 1 MSM capsule and 1 Astragalus, at lunch, I take 1 Vitamin C and 1 Spirulina, And at the evening, another capsule of MSM (2 a day, total) and 1 Vitamin D3.
I just started to take MSM and Astragalus 4 days ago, and since then, I am not sleeping as good as I used to, also, I get headaches (which is rare on me),.
