Soundboxing used to be my favorite Fit VR game now I prefer BoxVR. If you want more challenge in BoxVR you should try adding your own songs a lot of times they end up being more difficult than the default playlists.
My top pick is Box VR. This game legit gets me sweating hardcore.
i played thrill of the fight first time ever this week… IT WAS AMAZINGGGGG
BoxVR and Eleven are my favorite workout games. Creed was pretty good too.
I would like to win game 2 creed because it looks amazing and I want to be in that immersive game and maybe also lose a little bit of wait
When a certain problem occured over the world i started playing BeatSaber more intensively. Which means playing downloadable Songs with a difficulty over EXpert Plus and let me tell you..
This is the best Workout i can find while having fun. I lost a steady 7.5kg over almost 4 months. I am a full Time worker so, for me, this is a magic Pill where i can play my favorite Game and also drop some calories while playing. It´s really good!
Your channel is one of the most underrated ones out here, thank you for your great work
wish i could afford one of these, looks like alot of fun, and it would get me more active lol
Anyone who goes to the gym knows how laughably off that calorie counter is
There’s no way in hell she burned 69 calories in 56 seconds. Go get on an eliptical and set the resistance all the way to 14, now watch as it takes 5 minutes of running to get the same calories burned. Shes just swinging arms and squatting down with no weight, that counter is wrong.
Christmas is over, now I have almost a year to shoot zombies in Arizona Sunshine.
If on budget then nintendo wii can work too but there isn’t as much choice with games. Just Dance could work as well.
Fun fact: on the thumbnail the before picture Ryan is wearing the oculus rift type and in the after he is wearing the oculus quest.
It certainly does, if anyone has the know how to develop games, get crackin now there’s a million dollar idea just waiting.
Would be nice if you can add a list of all the game mentionned.
I can highly recomment BoxVR and thrill of the fight. These games are burning a lot of calories and let u sweet like a horse:D They are training your shoulder, arm, back and leg muscles too. I love workout in VR! It’s for me a very good addon to my workouts in a traditional Gym.
Thanks for the list. The reason I buy VR is to exercise since normal exercise is boring as heck. So many great games.
I would love to have Creed since Hajime No Ippo really made me want to box. But I can’t. Cuz punching hurts. And I got Haemophilia so I can’t get hurt or I’ll basically die from non-stop internal bleeding. XD On the other hand, Coronavirus is making me feel like preparing for a zombie apocalypse so Arizona Sunshine sounds good as well.
Game is garbage. Early access at best, terrible sound library, extremely lacking in features. Art is horrible.
BeatSaber can be much more of a workout if you play custom songs. Many songs requires fast (almost too fast) movements and in order to hit blovks in time you need to exert more force to move your arm. This repetitive motion can build be a much harder workout than many other exercise VR games. That is why I recommend many VR players to try BeatSaber. Since thr maps are all custom made and new each time then the gameplay will never get old and too repetitive. The game is like Osu! as that you will try to clear harder and harder maps as you get better at the game.

Id love if there was a game in VR where you can walk or run on a treadmill but the vr headset shows like a trail in a forest or beach
It’s not for workout, this is for after workout is great for Meditation. Did you tried Tripp?
You should do a video were you try to lose weight by doing Tic Toc’s all day
The real question is, how is this dude walking around his house with a headset on and its not a quest
Rap God in expert + on Beat Saber will make you lose 50-90 calories
These games do look awesome! I wanna go to Gamestop as soon as this virus is over, and pick up these games! American here. I need to get up and move more. I’m not fat (at all I’m pescatarian),but I do have a form of muscular dystrophy,(only one one in my family that does) so it’s important that I move my legs/arms.
So it seems like it should be an obvious solution but how do I connect Yur to my Apple Watch so it is tracking a proper heart rate? Yur is showing a heart rate even when I’m not wearing the watch so I don’t think it is syncing automatically.
For a great workout, put your valve index down and go on the treadmill. I can smell the cheetodust
I bought this game and it was way too expensive. It’s really bad and boring. I thought it would be fun with the music and all, and it would be ok for 10 euro or dollars but they really want 30 euro for this bad game. Think twice before buying this.. I play Ohshape now for a bit workout. Maybe it’s a bit less exhausting than box VR, but you have a lot of movement (more than for example beat saber) and it’s fun enough to keep playing it.
I don’t do exercise and i eat a lot and im still skinny af wtf?
Good list! Thanks!
If i can choose, “Creed: Rise to Glory”, just for doing some workout:D
after installing YUR, my VR-playtimes raised a lot. Minimum target: 500cal/each day:-) Thanks for this tip
shadow boxing is real training technique and a real excercise.
You want a VR workout? Pistol whip with the dodging stuff is really good
EDIT: shes wearing weighted vest and ankle weights, please add that info to the description of your videos in the future. the calorie counter is still very unreliable
Fake heart rate monitor and bad calorie counter. She probably burned 6-10 calories tops with a heart rate below 100
I´ve just had holyday for a couple of weeks… Mostly drinkin beer and just chillin. I got a Vive Pro and felt an urge to play some vr and went for Thrill of the Fight. And ooohmy…. I couldnt whipe my a$$ the next few days sins my arms where broken. That game is hardcore! Also BoxVr is really fun^^ Thanks for a great video!
Hi Ryan, Rebecca Jane made a video “eating like ryan trahan for 24 hours” CHECK IT OUT
The only thing that still scares me about vr is the blue light, can you make an objective video about that topic?
Thank you for this! I just got my Quest, and I’m trying to get into exercise sessions with Beat Saber and Thrill of the Fight. Heard about the YUR app, but this VR Institute of Health and Exercise app is new to me.:)
In a few years video game nerds are going to be the fittest people on the planet.
im sorry? did ryan just say he wanted his heart rate to be above 5000? ryan.. im worried.
Before my sensor broke waiting for it to be replaced, i have been working out in vr for for a while now probably about a year im down 60 pounds tho!, no diet or lifestyle changes, about 60 more to go and i will finally be super happy with my appearence for the first time in years, i played an array of games but mostly beatsaber and sprint vector.
yeah it’s great and all but my wifes face thing is wet af even if i do normal stuff.. google says a lot of headsets died because of sweat..
I can do better MAKING LOVE in 5mins and go 4 times per hour 😉
My experiences with VR are extremely limited, yet everything I’ve seen from this channel captivated me and made me contemplate how we interact with technology. You’ve opened my eyes to the true potential this holds. For that, thank you.
Remember to enter the GIVEAWAY all you need to do is LIKE the Video, SUBSCRIBE to the channel and COMMENT which one of the games you want and why. That’s it!
Can we talk about my sweaty face and fogged up lenses. This is the only problem i see in VR exercise with current tech. All the positives are obvious.
I wouldn’t mind box vr, I play beat saber all of the time. The only reason I bought my PSVR and I love it… worth every penny!!!
2:02 made me pee my pants and its two am. help. goodnight.
editokay wait apparently its five am and not two and im just going crazy what-
sorry right away, but be careful with squats, spare your knees, lose weight first
I hope someone makes a list of VR games that can be used for exercise that are NOT rhythm games like Beat Saber. I hate those kinds of games and I suck at them much too much to be ever able to enjoy them. Throwing things fast at your face cannot be the only approach on VR exercise, I hope.
What I like about this channel is that you know your audience well! You compared five minutes of audio trip to a night of passion. That’s absolutely perfect for me because a night of passion also lasts about the same time. Thanks C&C and happy valentines day!
Hi and another helpful video. My wife and I are hooked on BoxVR….the wife started with a 10 minute workout and now she’s on 90 minutes and she doesn’t even like VR..lol. Just goes to show the vr world is getting bigger. I also do creed…both great for workouts.
If I play every level of Pistols whip in a row the top part of my shirt gets drenched in sweat. It’s my top pick of VR exercise.
Time to start running on a treadmill with weights on your arms while doing it to maximize output
As you said VR can be a good way to do workout, because doing regularly workout is becaming a boring thing but with VR its can be much more fun because of music and smooth game play but only bad thing is VR is a expensive device in my poor country: (
Wish I could burn calories that fast by almost standing still 😉
Funny, the title says: losing weight, but the thumbnail showing a picture of a bodybuilder who’s gaining weight all the time
The most calorie burning game that i played was Racket Fury in Practice mode.
Carter: “does it feel like your at the club right now?”
Ryan “ I don’t know what that feels like but yes!”
This is so much fun! Hope PSVR would have this near future! Great dance!
Love you’re video’s! I recently started Virtually Healthy to analyse the movements induced by these VR games! Watch this space and soon we’ll have more info on how VR gets people moving, and how we can use those games to develop specific exercise programmes for losing weight as well as other health conditions such as chronic pain and depression!
Last week I did a VR workout (on Oculus Quest) with a couple of 0,5kg wrist weights. I started with a couple of rounds on Beat Saber, then switched to Thrill of The Fight and ended with another couple of songs on Beat Saber. 30 minutes of Beat Saber and boxing made me sweat like a pig and my heart rate almost going throught the roof. I think that if I do that several times a week, I will get a much better physical condition. Thanks for the tip to install Yur. I just sideloaded it on my Quest. Curious to see how it works.
A solar powered tracker that’s inside your wallet where no sun rays enter. Genius.
Ryan playin beat saber: how can anybody in the world do this. Shows someone beating it. Me: has basically beaten every level on expert + and is now bored cuz I don’t know what else to do cuz I can’t install custom games on oculus quest.
Synth Riders and BoxVR on Oculus Quest are extremly good for a workout. I’ve been at it for around six weeks and it is amazing. Gets my heart rate up to 170 and a hell of a sweat! I can’t do the gym, but this is just fun.
How was he only 157 at the beginning of this video? I’m 5’8 and 150 and way smaller
Sound Boxing needs more love!!!!! Best VR workout you will ever get!
absolutely love your videos, they remind me of shane dawson’s for some reason
interesting fact: At the start of this video Ryan weighs in at 157 pounds. A controversial topic going around lately is the new weight restrictions for the mat racing slides at universals volcano bay waterpark. You may ask “What was the weight limit for the slides then?” lets just say that Ryan at 157 pounds comes in at 7 Pounds overweight to be able to ride the water slide. Ryan is also skinner than the average American so you can imagine the headlines
I love this game. I have struggles with the upper cuts. Any tips?
super late but the big thing about beatsaber for working out is you kinda have to be good. No offense to your skill but until you get up to expert plus and community made maps with high star ratings every other vr game will be much better
call of duty world at war with the wii zapper was the coolest and closest thing to VR i ever had when i was a kid and i knew one day I’d be playing it in my living room xD
“Skyrim 6”
Even though the series is called Elder Scrolls I’m pretty sure we’ll have a 6th version of Skyrim be out before TES VI.
I’ve been Running in VR using My “Cybershoes” while Standing up, Yup! Note: I Modified a Harness System to use them while Standing! Rather, then sitting and Yes, it Works! A Very Fun Work Out in Deed! Sooo Cool! I just recently got a Punching Bag, I am thinking of using Velcro Straps to Mod My Oculus Quest Controllers to the back of My Boxing Gloves this way when I hit the Person in VR… I actually hit My 100lb “Everlast” Punching Bag! VR is Perfect for Exercise, “Feel the Burn!” ✌️
I’ve actually had to start going to the gym to lift because my arms look so disproportionate because of the swinging motion in beat saber only really does the middle muscle of your arm so I just have two massive bulges coming out of my arms that look like cysts or something to that nature.
How are you estimating calorie expenditure? Just by how intense it feels and by time?
I feel like this could give #beatsaber a run for its money with all the fun and flashy moves
OK I just droped in to say that you look absolutely gorgeous
Hiii, I love your cahnnel! question: I cant find YUR app in my oculus. I am living in germany, europe. maybe it is not available here? I dont know, it is very weird. I just cant find it
Creed: Rise to Glory is pretty good. I managed to burn 2000 calories in one day with plenty of leftover times.
Interesting… Usually people talk about skyrim 2 but you said 6, you messed up here.
I love your videos, they’re so well edited and so interesting.
Just tried BOXVR i definitely worked up a sweat, similar to beatsaber i suppose as you hit flying orbs, and dodge bars. Not sure if beat saber has this but in BOXVR faster punches give more points. (It looked that way at least)
I feel like all of your videos are like short little insanely entertaining documentaries
what an unfortunate game. It’s competitor beat sabre blew this game out of the water.
If Ryan does that in a mirror in-game, imagine what he does in REAL life…
I have the Valve Index, and the knuckles appear to track my heart rate.
I was cringeing SO HARD during the expert + because I’ve done it 1000 already lol
Thank you for this, I have gained 30 pounds in two months and have been depressed about it, Im going to try these out
Ryan: when i think about this experience,
*talks about sponsorship
Does this work with any VR Headset or do I have to have an Oculus?
You make a video about vr work out and don’t say something about BoxVR… Why?
VR ain’t good for your eyes. Get real fitness is way better.
Und danke nochmal mit der erklärung und hilfe Auf discord bin der Alex Like 😉
I’ve been looking for a VR headset to walk on my treadmill for exercise this is the first video that I’ve seen that actually points me somewhere in the right direction could you help me a little bit more I’ve been thinking about this for a long time and when I asked people they act like I’m crazy finally somebody that actually thinks like me out the box
Great video. Underrated.
Me myself i am using vr games to rehab after 18 injuries and it totally doesnt feel like workout while totally sweating and not being able to breath (positively). Ever since i started using vr i feel my muscles everyday and still wanting to workout.
If anyone needed a good workout that you can do everyday without feeling too tired or bored this is the way to go
Heh, just got this game a couple a days ago, graphics seems to have come a long way since this video was made:)
I’m sorry but there is no way you burned 200cal in 3min. If this were true I could burn my whole daily intake in 30-45min. If this were true my 20-30min of ice time in hockey (which will actually get me to my VO2 max unlike this) would burn all my calorie intake, fat and muscles.
I’d say divide that number by 5 minimum. 5-10 calc/min of stationary non-lifting activity makes the most sense, by watching this video an elliptical at a medium pace would burn more cal.
After three minutes with music like that Im gonna be ready to punch real people
What are the blue masks that the people in the work out clips are wearing?
I do pistol whip for legs. Gettin a sick pump while matrixing and shooting dem goons for gainz.
I heard they developed a gaming thingy that has lasers underneath it so it can detect your movements and will put that onto the character on the videogame. For example if you were playing a UFC video game you could literally punch the air and the video game character would punch. Unfortunately they cancelled it in the 90’s.
Hey WaqMan VR, if you have a cardio fitness machine we’d love for you to give HOLOFIT a try! Works on any bicycle, elliptical and selected rowing machines, available for Quest, Vive Focus, Gear VR, Rift. Thanks!
Hey dude. Please see this. Someone is using you in their thumbnails for these fake free gift card scams. Please do something about it
Am I the only one who noticed the 180 bpm? She’s not even moving that much weight around. Someone ought to tell her about burpees and jump rope before her heart explodes while watching Netflix.
Also, if you’re gonna jump squat, please, wear shoes. You are welcome, anyone’s knees.
I believe there will be a steady growth of VR for exercise until full dive technology makes body movements unnecessary, at which point, we will see a crash in overall physical fitness.
At 1:45 she’s doing all these movements that make the calories shoot up. It’s these extra’s (like also stretching/waving your arms after a squat) which increases calorie burn enormously. I wonder if one gets more calories when one punches harder/faster though?
PREACH! I loooove VR for exercise. Synthriders, Pistol Whip, Ohshape, Beatsaber, BoxVR, the list just goes ON
I totally confirm that I lose weight playing Beat saber in expert/expert+, I’ve lost at least 10 kilograms (idk how many pounds are that xD) BTW what face mask do you recomend for exercising in the Oculus Rift? I tend to sweat a lot the first 15 minutes playing:o
Ehhhhhhh beatsaber is better search megalovania Camilla remix beatsaber and yeh enjoy
I love the eyes on the headset. You look like a droid. I want to get some for my oculus quest. Where can I buy them from?
Cas, very disappointed that you put a clickbait image for the video; nowhere in the video do you see you working out in that outfit 😉
Even if the calories are not exact, it doesn’t matter. I’m think people get to worried on exacts. What’s more important is you are actually doing something than nothing. If your knackered, then it’s working.
I am using my own game VRWorkout (free for the Quest via Sidequest). I designed it to be a full body workout, a bit like calisthenics, with crunches, pushups, squats, jumping and optionally running.
5:47 he can sing not that bad like literetlly pretty good
Right?
On one of their games they rated 6-8 calories per minute. They showed off one where in game it said 100 per minute…
How do you record like this? Like can I record myself in this game as well with the game as a background? Or do you need a special oculus camera?
I want fallout 4 VR because we have Skyrim VR but my sister really wants to try fallout because she wants a thrill.
@Box VR… do you have plan to release in Oculus quest? wireless fitness VR game.. that’s the dream.. I can’t afford gaming PC+oculus rift
The takeaway should be the diet. The VR exercise really only probably made up like 20% of the end result
I have seen so many references of that Star Trek scene when talking about Beat Saber, with Upisnotjump, and others.
The year is 2020
G**gle is always watching and listening, so we must censor their name, never to speak of them directly in fear of being found out.
I get enough of a workout playing Boneworks already. That game works all of your muscles. After you’re done playing everything will hurt for a few days.
Hey Cas and Chary can you upload a video of how to use VR porn? I know you can download and app called SLR, BUT how do you use the gloves and Haptic Vest with it?
Keep your hands up. You’re face is exposed the whole time. LMAO This is a good workout but sadly it doesn’t count correct posture as points.
That was a great video. I also use VR for fitness. Racked NX is also a game that works for fitness. But i have to say that i can’t recomment the quest without the link cable. There are not very much games out now but you have tons of games on steam and the oculus S store.
30年前のMSDNの新人研修でフラッシュメモリーの研究してるってサンドイッチみたいな絵を描いてたっけ、Dラムが暴落して会社なくなったけど
If they ever create VR worlds that you can move & quest through like MMOs (EQ, WoW) I think I’d live in there.
Sprint Vector on PSVR is my favourite VR workout. Great game!
I would agree with the list fully. Beat Saber is extremely fun, mostly if you put your all into slicing the blocks. Thrill of the Fight destroyed my arms the first time I played, great game to pick up and play every now and then.
If I had to choose a game it would be Creed Rise to Glory. Where Thrill of the Fight is more realistic in it’s fighting mechanics, I just love the style and extra steps put into Creed. The demo for the Quest is still one of my favorites, and I wouldn’t mind seeing what all the game had to offer. I bet it would be a great addition to any workout/ pre-workout routine.
anyone experiencing crazy wonky hit detection when playing this game? i cant seem to nail down hooks or uppercuts at ALL, no matter what i do.
And it seems i’m not the only one, going off of steam and reddit forums
How do I get powerbeats vr on the quest? It’s not in the store
How do you guys think weight lifting could be achieved in VR? As in a way to gain muscle because I can foresee a way in which cardio can be made easier but I don’t see any way you could gain muscle by using increasingly heavy weights in VR. What are your guys thoughts on this?
Ryan should’ve played Ghost on expert +
His reaction would be hilarious
One of the main reasons I bought my Quest was for health. Now I’m using it for that every day. The games I play for health are mainly The Climb, Beat Saber and BoxVR
You can burn that many calories with a 40 min class. That amount for 1 song is absurd
Sadly because of covid 19 something like this will probably never pick up
A VR game that is very amazing for a good workout is BOXVR from Oculus Quest. It is like Beat Saber and boxing together.
It’s a shame you didn’t include Thrill of the Fight. If any game is a workout that’s it.
2:27 Greatest Transition “Yo Dude I’m Killing It!-” “OH GOD!”
what sports do you set on your samsung watch active if you’re playing vr fitness game?
I am loving your VR videos. Just watched the 1 week in VR video and now onto this. As someone wanting to lose weight and finding VR as a great avenue, it is great to see recommendations. As a note from an avid beat saber player, when you get really up there in difficulty, the workout definitely becomes way more intense. I am really looking forward to trying out Thrill of the Fight, as well as more of your videos.
Something that helps me to exercise even more while playing beat saber is to jog in place
fyi there’s a point where you’ve used too many memes, and you hit it by number 6….
On your own website you list this game as “6-8 calories per minute” but in the video is something like 7 times as much…
loses more weight in a couple days than what i can in a few months
This is my first time ever watching you and you’re so funny
Yep, that headsets gonna make her neck nice and wide and muscular.
Didnt know what the 3rd game was about and the James Charles jumped out and gave me a heart attack
I then concluded this is in the genre horror
Now if only we could all experience this for a reasonable price.
Since we’re on quarantine… this is honestly perfect.
I’ve been doing Hot squat and Beat Saber for two days and damn, my body hurts so bad.
From all of these, is one of them the moooooost recommended? Would like to buy one but I’m still not sure which one would be better, more when I honestly can’t pay for more than one game since I still didn’t get paid because of all of this shit happening lol. Also, my room is quite small, that’s why I have many doubts.
ryan”I SAW YOU DMING GIRoh god.. he just knocked me silly”
i love you ryan
BoxVr and Beat Saber is by far the best. Hoping PS will come out with a cycling VR workout. One that I can do using my own upright stationary bike.
I agree that it is good exercise. But I’m confused by your comparison with it being better than making love. Because I don’t think most people don’t want to stop doing that. Certainly not me. Haha
Please like up my comment. I’ve been trying to get the cannon m50 for my YouTube channel but it’s $600. If you happen to see this my Venmo is @Dong03. Ima be persistent and comment this under every video. The money would really be useful
i made a mistake today…got VR yesterday…played 4hrs of beat saber with 2.5lbs weights on my wrist…can’t lift arms
I am veru curious. I really want to see how ppl feel playing in a different reality.
thanks for the info! I think Powerbeats VR looks the best; I am not too interested in punching games in general. I hope more non boxing fitness games come around!
I would love to play any game with that music it was so hype
I started playing Beat Saber… Oh, a couple months ago? It’s basically the only VR game we have. I can see a noticeable difference in arm strength since I started playing. I’ve progressed from Hard, to Expert, and now I’m getting A’s (I even get S’s on Be There For You) on Expert+ levels. I would like you to keep in mind that the harder levels, which you would get to if you had spent more time with it, burn many more calories than the easier ones. Also, as you play more Beat Saber, you learn to hit the blocks in the right waywith lots of wrist and arm movement, doing as full of a swing as possible for each note. Most “newbies” I’ve seen hit the blocks much softer, and I have no idea why.
(as long as I’m commenting, I may as well add that I really like your videos. They give me interesting things to think about whenever I watch them. Thank you:)
Wait. Why tf is there a stamina meter in a VR game? That’s just bad game design, and frankly, it’s a dealbreaker.
I think the vr institute of health app is the best but only supports the polar heart monitor. The wahoo is cheaper but unfortunately not compatible with the app I mentioned.
I’ve been doing Beat Saber for a year, 0.5h a day on average. I manage expert+ now. Also intermittent fasting for about 3 months + less junk food. For a month I’ve been playing also Thrill of the Fight. I’m in my best shape ever.
Recommend to everyone
UPDATE: Fitbit heart rate monitor works without any setup.
I love BoxVR so much. I just started about a month ago and its amazing. I love it because, like you said, going to the gym is time costly and I find it easier to work out at home in my underwear (more comfortable too). I tie it in with a pull up bar and i get amazing workout in 1.5 hrs. Looking forward to trying this yurfit app out and I’m hoping for fitbit heart rate monitoring support.
if you have a chance check out some of my music on my channel. Thank you for making these vids keep them coming.
Awesome list! I wouldn’t mind winning Carnivals VR. I always lose at the real Carnivals.
I just recently got an Oculus Rift and was looking for a good starting fitness game. Watching this video helped me to decide to go with BoxVR. I’m glad I did, within 15 minutes I was pushing boundaries of physical exertion that I have not done in some time. Thanks for the great demonstration!
I thought about this the first time I played Beat Saber at this new vr arcade in the mall. The only issue I had is that I’m a heavy sweater so it’s hard for me to keep the headset on for long sessions. Would that damage the headset over time?
Man i want one of those! I cant get one tho bc they are too expensive!
Got very fat over quarantine playing video games and not doing anything else, so I’ll be able to lose wait and at the same time have fun
There is actually a real weight loss pill that literally burns fat. But it is too dangerous for normal consumption.
I like to warm up with Beat Saber, followed by Thrill of the Fight for my main workout, then cool down with BoxVR.
Why isn’t there a single word on maintaining headset hygiene and comfort? Otherwise great video.
Ryan: you are not real light you are imposter light
Me: thinking that light in video games is
using real electricity
Can u write model of VR console and name of games?
Ofc i will click Sub and like:D
Best work-out in Virtual Reality for me: PowerBeatsVR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qc5r8xlYNB4
I just started getting serious on my VR workout about two weeks ago, wish me luck!
Great vid, I recommend a set of VR covers to keep it clean, and Quest earbuds so you don’t yank the cord with beat saber.
Hopefully I can get in shape with VR!
you can work out, but you aren’t building up any muscle
it’s good to loose a few pounds maybe
Somebody pirates quest games lol might want to remove that part. Also I’d take making love over VR any day
Will you make any future BOXVR videos? The game has changed a lot since this video.
That calorie counter is enough to not buy this game. The numbers don’t look even remotely realistic.
You need to know what you are doing while exercising like that with weights, because you risk some serious joint damage. It was recently discussed over on /r/SkyrimVR: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimvr/comments/8dj9t0/how_im_using_skyrim_vr_for_an_awesome_workout/dxnl51b/
Thank you for making this video. I’ve been using my vr headset for working out ever since I got it years ago. But I don’t ever see people using it that way. My go to games are audioshield and beat saber with 2lb gloves.
I lost 20 lbs just from casually playing Creed and/or Beat Saber for an hour atleast 3 times a week. As long as you’re mindful of your diet, the Universe won’t care how you spend energy as long as you are spending energy.
Edit: Just keep in mind that every VR workout is a cardio workout unless you find a way to involve some weights into your routine.
Me: works out for a month running and weights and loses 5 pounds Ryan: works out for a month playing vr games loses 7 pounds
I dont think you need to hit the blocks but nice! I liked the game but the last update completely borked the hit detection so a lot of my hits are misses now =/
Good stuff here!! I just got my Oculus Quest on Tuesday and having a ball! Who says you cant teach an old dog new tricks! Already finished the roomVR! Been playing Beat Saber and BoxVR is a great workout. Bought wrist weights to add more. I want that PowerBeatsVR but not sure if it works with the Quest. Can someone let me know. I went to buy it on their site. Its an early access game right now. Any advice would be appreciated. Stay safe folks!!
Loved this….not sure if any games are left…I’d appreciate any of them because it’s awesome you’re giving them away
Beat Saber is really great I get a good workout within 30 mins. Box VR is also really great to add to a daily workout, its not as much fun but you can program a trackable routine, count callories and amount of time you have set as a goal. I wish beat saber had something like that I would be on it for hours.
Thx, very helpful info. I’ll definitely trying the top ones out. Looking forward to be more fit in 2020.
I would love to get power beats vr and box because I’m fat
Speaking of vr fitness, try Sprint vector. That game is pretty insane.
I play Creed for at least an hour a week when I get the chance and you can really feel your heart racing and I am legit exhausted after about 10 fights. I usually play the weak irish guy and fight the medium lads who cant knock you out but it takes a lot to know them out too so you really have to work hard at punches. I am drenched after a while. Beat Saber is also amazing for warming up your arms.
Bought the Oculus for my grandson for Christmas I Just starting playing and have health issues so I am very slow…. I am thinking of buying myself a VR to get more exercise would love Box VR as I have the beat saber already and am getting more comfortable with it… THANK YOU
play beat saber on expert plus and you’ll burn WAY more calories
Fantastic video. You have lots of information and examples! I’ve been playing Super Hot and its a great workout. My legs have been sore for a week!;)
beat saber is much more of a workout on expert plus just saying, almost definately more intense than boxing
What do you think?
Oculus quest or oculus rift-s.
I hate to think about a death battery of the quest.
And trow that thing in a trash can
Just play beat saber on expert and don’t stop until you’ve 100% every song you’ll be fit in no time lmao.
Cater reminds me of that red head kid from suit life of Zack and Cody
He punched a real metal piece!!!!!
Lmao!!!!!! I actually called 5 people to tell them that!!!!
LOL! If only she had locked the arms for proper punching, rather than focusing on arching her butt & doing silly aerobic moves…. XD Oh well, nothing better than a nice a$$, to gain male followers/subscribers.
More calories than making love? I don’t think thats why people make love….
Imagine he was playing fighting clan and he’s mother walked in all he whacked his father
Are you working out in VR yet? What are your go-to games?

this is just an ad for unneceserry equipment just go play beat saber
Him doing breezed on hard mode was like me playing dance dance revolution
That Star Trek joke was stolen from up is not jump
You made the exact same joke as him
As a long time star trek fan, Bridge crew looks really engaging!
How do you add the arrows that tell you which way to punch? My mom tried the game today and she said that there were no arrows when she was playing this
I was happily surprised when I was playing Pistol Whip and I realized “I’m doing squats” not because I wanted to exercise, I was simply trying to not hit the bullets or the tunnel thing.
The video is awkward and the girl’s moves look ridiculous.
Hell, it’s called “Box VR”, why not showing us real boxing moves?
Otherwise I like this game, great warmup before following on with “the Thrill of the Fight”
Hey, cool it with the caffeine. That heart rate is a little on the insane side.
It’s true. Vr makes some people sweat, even if they don’t do exercise games. Lol
If you think 20 mins of Boxing burns 300 calories, you are either severely overweight and thus burn more, or you are hella delusional. 15 mins of BS at 150 calories… Nahh.
heck ya. imagine trecking up a hill with a heavy gun and ammo? or in a lord of the rings style battle. it takes a person of amazing physical condition to survive for even more than a few minutes. I think flat screen gaming will always be a thing for when we get tired and for the novelty. but VR will become mainstream and will likely help our health and maybe even help to connect people in a safer, more practical environment to create relationships when anyone around the world with ease.
Number 8 because I am an old Trekie and would love to experience what it would be like to be a captain of a starship. Warp 9 Engage.
Cas & Chary Thanks for playing Audio Trip! We’re working more all the time to develop the game with more features and songs! So glad you’re liking it so far. <3
Haha and for those that want to know more about the mention of ‘night of passion’… here’s the VRScout article mentioning the VR Institute of Health and Exercise rating for Audio Trip:D
https://vrscout.com/news/vr-burns-more-calories-than-sex/
looks fun! great work out but! you’r front kick was wrong you don’t pivot your left foot like you did for a front kick bad for the knee….
Loving the little jump everytime she dips haha. Love creed so might get this
Imagine if you have to use your feet and knees to beat the game.
you know ur fat when u weigh a lot more than a 22 year old
Please, can someone tell me the name of the song or the Band…wonderfull sound.
Imagine having a VR horror game and you use a treadmill to run around. That’s what I thought of when talking about VR fitness
This was a great video. Though I would like to play more games on my Quest, I mainly use it for fitness. I have (of course) Beatsaber, BoxVR, Racket Fury and Racket Fx. But because those last two though fun only let me use my right arm, I don’t really fancy them. Thanks for showing the Software Monitor. Unfortunately it doesn’t support the heart-rate monitor on my Huawei GT-C81. That’s a shame.
Groetjes uit Thailand!
Why would anyone want to work out in VR. Your head will sweat like crazy and your lenses will fog over. Yuck!
Try Fruit Ninja for exercise. Surprisingly you do move your body into different positions and when the fruit goes flying fast and there is a lot of fruit at one time you will get a little bit sweaty and your heart rate going. Arcade mode is about the best mode for exercise I believe.
If u go on beat saber u will most definitely have more fun and still be able to work out like this
Vr is a semi-evolutionary step for man yes games& exercise but the application on education and sciences will be incalculable
I hate and love how his headset makes it look like he has tiny eyes and eyebrows
The Star Trek clip was perfect! Thanks for the video. I just might have to click “Subscribe”.
Great video. VR is the future, it’s incredibly exciting. I joined a gym here in Boise that sports the worlds first Dynamic Resistance machine (weights) for exercising withing VR. I just posted a few vlogs about my experience on my channel.
IM SO HYPE IM BUYING HTC VIVE THIS MONTH I WORK OUT ALOT AT THE GYM I DON’T REALLY NEED IT FOR WORK OUTS CAUSE I GO RUNNING WITH MY DOG AND WALKING 4 WALKS A DAY WITH MY DOG AND GYM FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY I JUST WANA EXPERIENCE VR KNOWING IS 480 FOR HTC I CANE I SAY I COULD OFFERED IT NOW
Beat Saber has added a 360 option for some songs which uses the legs more. Also, playing at the harder levels than normal is more intense.
I really like this game I have it for Oculus But I wish Kanye would sue them so they’d stop using this one song… They use it constantly.
If you put some wrist weights on you will get even more of a workout on beast saber and others
Anyone besides me notice dude @ 3:32 did some manscaping to celebrate his weight loss?
4000 calories a day???? Boi I gain weight if I go over 1500 tffff
Just played Box VR I like the concept of working out in VR lifiting a bar running is just boring with VR we can kill bad guys in super hot and beat people up:D
This is a fantastic implementation. I’d love to see a workout environment be a little less stationary but I can see how it’s inherent to this mode of game-play/experience.
I measure calorie burn when I play VR exercise games. The Fastest Fist is the most active title I’ve recorded so far at 319 calories in a 30 minutes session.
Just tries this for the first time last night. I did 20 minutes. Let me tell ya it’s not easy. I was out of breath, sweating and had a cramp in my side lol
My body feels like I ran a marathon. My legs hurt especially
No need to bleep out the “Hey Google” because nobody has bought any of their devices sales-wise! Lmao! Love your videos!
“Hey F*&*$#! where is my wallet?”:) Great video as always. I have found Thrill of the Fight to be an awesome work out that is totally fun. I have been trying to explain to friends that this is a new era of video games where you are not sitting around in front of your console, you are up and active.
Hey Ryan, if you have a cardio fitness machine, we’d love you to try out HOLOFIT! Works on any bicycle, elliptical and selected rowing machines, available for Quest, Vive, Gear VR. Thanks!
I started playing BoxVR a few weeks ago. It’s a really cool game where you have to do squats and sidesteps too. You can play pre made workout sessions by trainers or just put up a playlist, choose a difficulty and have a nice workout. I really recommend BoxVR.
I have gotten visible results building muscles by using BoxVR on the Quest for 2 months.
Does anyone seriously consider love making to be a good benchmark for exercise? If not, why use it for a comparison? Seems like there must be better comparisons that you didn’t want to make.
Those are short “nights of passion” they must not be very good. Ijs.
Vr is going to get us to move around until we can do everything with our mind. When that happens (and it well) people are going to a suit and a nutritional fluids injected into us or something to keep us alive…
Dança muito parabéns canal tá pequeno ainda mais tem Futuro
