Actually just got back to playing Pokemon GO because I have started running (since about a year ago), and it’s not so hard to get 100km a week. I know this is supposed to be a funny video but I strongly recommend people to start jogging, cycling or even walking to get those km because, you know, one day this game will not be a part of your life anymore, but these km you ran will definitely make a difference on your mental and physical health.

@farket I’ve had a serious question that I don’t know if you ran across. When equipped in creepy armor, switching to your wetsuit causes you to lose 1 of the creepy armors. Seems unfair since they are pretty tough to obtaining begin with. Can you maybe get the dvs to fix this bug.

Also, at 7:50 you say that sprinting and diving are not added together when raising athleticism. This is incorrect. I tested by sprinting until I had 1 (7200) and still at 0 for diving, measured how far I could sprint, then raised diving from 0 to 1 (1800) and tested how far I could sprint. They are most definitely added together, because I was able to sprint farther before running out of stamina.
Another thing to note: Sprinting is divided by 7200, and diving is divided by 1800. You do NOT receive any benefits to athleticism until you gain more than a multiple of those numbers. Example: New game, see how far you can sprint before running out of stamina. Sprint around until you have just under 7200 sprint. Your maximum sprint distance will still be the same, even though the stat page (F3) says (for example) 7100/7200 = 1. This is because it’s rounding up the number. Now sprint until you have 7200 or more, and measure the distance. You will see that as soon as you pass 7200, you gain a big jump in maximum sprinting distance. Measure that. Now hold your breath underwater until you have 1800 or more, and you’ll see that your sprint distance has again taken a jump.
hey farket, i was playing around a little with your ways of raising stats, and i found out a maybe even better way of doing it, not sure tho if its faster. but this way u can raise strenght and athleticism at the same time. What i do is i go stand in a pool of water and hit the water with a bone/katana. and every time u hit also go under the water. seem to work quite fast although u cant swing the bone as fast as u could swinging it upright. i personally like using the katana for this so i can also catch fish fairly easy this way and making the katana actually useful for anything. I thought it may be worth sharing with u, Cheers
It takes 5 mins 40 seconds of swinging a bone in the air to get +2 stamina. Hope this helps

You had me rolling bro…as soon as you started the green screens..it was over.
For me, for awhile I had my kid bring in their bike. I’d flip it over, wedge the phone in it’s lifeproof case in the spokes and pedal away as the phone goes in circles with the tire. This worked fine when I wanted to rack up a Km or so to hatch a couple eggs. I eventually modified that idea and put the bike on a jackstand. Wedge the phone in and then I took my variable speed buffer/grinder for up to 9″ discs and set it to it’s lowest speed. I positioned the grinder so that the 7″ wheel with a 220 grit sanding disc on it would just touch the tire and make it spin over and over. I do this sometimes when working out in the garage and can get about 8-10 Km in an hour. While the sock method may produce better results, it requires me to be actively doing something. The bike and variable speed buffer/grinder method leaves me free to do whatever I want/need to be doing so I find it far more advantageous.

Just to clear up something that’s sort of implied but not mentioned: You can only gain a max of 2 Strength per day (as mentioned), but this limit DOES NOT apply to Athleticism. There’s no limit (that I’ve seen) to how much Athleticism you can gain in one day.

I hope you read this but I have cracked a good method. Using a fit tracker watch such as a Fitbit or Samsung Gear fit will stack up kilometers. If you have a dog, clip it his collar and go for a walk with him. So the dog will have the watch and you have your phone counting steps. Having a watch will be more beneficial.
I got 1km by taping my phone to my ceiling fan for 10 min. If you try this make sure it’s secure or else bye bye phone

I’m not sure if the sock method works for my phone. Its an iphone 11 pro max so I’m kind of sure that gyroscope has an improved sensor. It sorta works. I have to use a fitness counter app for the steps to register. I went from 3.1 to 3.6 steps in 3 to 4 minutes. I didn’t have to use the same email tho.

I use to work in a pretty big vans warehouse and would carry my phone in my pocket all day, while walking nonstop for 5 days sometimes 6 days in a 8 hour shift and by the end of every week i’d have walked 130kms. Word of advice get a job in a big warehouse where you can carry your phone in your pocket. You won’t regret it.

It should go without saying but if you don’t accept your friend’s gifts they can’t send you any more plus it’s annoying and you can’t increase your friendship level.

Since playing Pokemon Go, I started walking way more. Now I walk on average 5-8 km per day. Kinda like it, make sure to spin a stop, catch a pokémon and then just leave it in my pocket. It helped me move more. Felt cool to see other people playing Pokémon, being outside, moving.
Now this sock thing just looks kinda sad to me. I guess I’ll stay casual.

Actually the best method I’ve found is swinging the phone forwards and backwards laying flat on your bed, I clock about 1-0.7 kilometers every 3 minutes. Wide swings and the faster you go the better
