1. you dont burn fat from your arms first, you burn fat from around your internal organs first,
2. you said that when you excersize your blood flow increases and as a result you burn more fat, this is simply wrong, you actually lose fat first, then the bloodflow increases,
3. fat burns evenly throughout the body and is not selective, your arms do not lose ft first they just have less fat to lose then the stomach, thats why it appears that the arms lose fat first,
4. selective fat loss or Spot reduction has been proven in several studies to not be possible, your “studies” that you refer to are nowhere to be found and go against several medically proven studies

Am I the onlyone who has skeleton arms and balloon belly? It’s not balloon but for some reason am too skinny and my belly is not flat.

The fact that he uses actual science, physical studies, and speaks to his audience with a calm demeanor makes me not want to give up with my struggle to lose weight. Finally someone who isn’t calling us disgustingly obese, and screaming their heads off trying to hype the crowd up.

Sounds like a great method. Alternatively, if you want to focus on the weight loss part, I’d also suggest running 3 times a week (actual running, not treadmill). It has been proven to release endorphins which make you feel good, thereby helping you establish a habit. Also, try to eat healthy small portions, which should be able to speed up the process a little bit. If you currently eat three meals a day, you could try doing two, perhaps a shake in the AM, a brunch, and then an early dinner. As always thought, listen to your body so that you don’t hurt or dangerously overexert yourself. Don’t forget the process involves multiple steps, so don’t rush it and don’t cut corners. Get a friend to work out with you so you stay motivated. Lastly, write your goals on a piece of paper and hang it somewhere visible, so you can look at it everyday and then when your accomplish it, scratch it off and write a new goal. All the best to you, especially if you read this far!!

For you gentlemen who’s been struggling to get that 6 pack, focus more on cardio (it doesn’t matter if it’s steady state or HIIT) and prioritize that over resistance training as cardio will burn more calories than weights. Ideally after doing weights, as doing it before can impact your performance in lifting heavy. Don’t give up, stay strong, remember Rome wasn’t built in a day!

I’m 60 and have some serious back issues that prevent me from regular ab workouts. Would isometric exercise targeting the abs help to reduce belly fat and add/maintain strength? Such as roll, hold and release. It can be exhausting so it must be doing something.

I can agree with this video. I am sprint athlete and I worked out last year every single day for months and though I lost much weight I can see no difference with my belly fat and after that I did quit for personal reasons and got fat again. Now I’m committing once again and I have learned to be patient to achieve that. That was my regret, if I waited it out patiently then I would have achieved that goal.
