The RDA in this context is Recommended Dietary (not Daily) Allowance.
It’s confusing and poorly chosen terminology, but the US Recommended Daily Allowance (referenced here) has to do specifically with food labeling.
This help me for my nutrition assignment in university. I live in the uk we call them slight different however its the same terminology.
