Turmeric Scrambled Eggs with Spinach & Ghee

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium high heat and add the butter. Pour in the egg mixture and gently stir, lifting it up and over from the bottom as it thickens. Remove.Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon grated peeled fresh turmeric (or 1 teaspoon ground) and cook, stirring, 15.
Oven “Golden” Turmeric Scrambled eggs for. Breakfast, you can bake eggs in the oven to use for a hearty breakfast bowl, wraps, or even breakfast tacos (gluten free). Lunch, add turmeric scrambled eggs to a salad, or serve them with some steamed veggies and maybe some lentils. Mmmm!Cook, tilting skillet toward you and spooning oil over egg whites until whites are set, about 2 minutes. Remove skillet from heat, keeping skillet tilted, and add turmeric to oil.
Baste egg whites.Start by making your pesto. On a dry skillet, lightly toast your cashews on medium to high heat. Let cool for a couple minutes then place a food processor with shallot, garlic, kale.
With such a simple dish, you need good tasting eggs. Beat two large eggs with some salt and pepper. Melt a good knob of butter in a small saucepan till foaming but don’t allow to brown. Add the eggs and stir briskly with a wooden spoon.In a gallon Ziplock bag or large bowl, combine onion, garlic, potatoes, seasonings, and olive oil.
Mix to combine until all of the potatoes are well-coated. Pour the potatoes onto the baking sheet. Bake for 30-35 minutes, removing every 10 minutes to stir and toss.
Finally, I add garlic to my turmeric scrambled eggs for added flavour and health benefits. Garlic contains potent medicinal properties that can help with everything from detoxifying the body to preventing colds and flu to reducing blood pressure, lowering cholesterol.Uncover the potatoes and loosen them from the bottom of the skillet with a wooden spoon until lightly browned, about five minutes later.
If you’re using dried spices or herbs, add them now. In a bowl, scramble the eggs with a dash of milk. Pour the.
Warm a cup of milk in a saucepan with ½ teaspoon (tsp) of turmeric powder (or 1 ½ tsp of freshly grated turmeric) and 1 tsp freshly grated ginger. Simmer for 15 minutes.Chop the onions and red bell peppers into medium size pieces.
Toss the potatoes, kale, onions, peppers and garlic with the herbes de provences, sea salt, black pepper, apple cider vinegar and olive oil until evenly coated with the spices. Transfer.In a large bowl, toss the sweet potatoes in the olive oil, then sprinkle with flax and seasonings. Spread on prepared baking hsset and bake for 20 minutes, rotating halfway through.
Add kale and bake 5 more minutes. Meanwhile prepare the tofu.organic rosemary potatoes, scrambled eggs, mozzarella, house-made cilantro-jalapeño dressing Celia’s Bowl 11 choice of eggs*, organic rice, black beans, cheese, avocado, cilantro. served with organic corn tortillas Sides roasted potatoes, roasted yams, organic rice, quinoa, beans, fresh fruit, chips 3 Add ons guacamole, avocado, cheese 1.5 VEGAN.Place the kale in a bowl and drizzle with the dressing.
Let rest until the potatoes are done. Once the potatoes are done and still slightly warm, assemble the salad. Add the potatoes to the kale along with half the breadcrumbs.
Toss to combine. Place the eggs on top.Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Avocado, Crispy Potato, House Cheese Blend, Guajillo Sauce, Potato Hash ALL AMERICAN BREAKFAST 20 Scrambled Eggs, Smoked Bacon or Chicken Sausage, Potato Hash, Toast CLASSIC BUTTERMILK PANCAKES 18 Mixed Berry Compote, Coconut Whipped Cream, Exotic Fresh Fruit BAGEL & LOX 19 Wild Rocket Arugula, Heirloom Tomato, Cream Cheese.

My favorite brunch food is French toast. I also love eggplant bacon.
Why does everyone put onions with Turmeric? Is it really that good!?? I took it out and it’s 10X better. It’s because I can taste the onions in the first bite then the Turmeric comes in as an aftertaste. It’s not to my liking but without it onions it’s pretty amazing.

the eggs caught to the bottom. needs more ghee/butter and less heat.
I loved it but I also added garlic powder and black pepper! instead of ghee I used Olive oil spray.

Garlic both cooks and burns fast. Starting the onions and mushrooms before the garlic would be better because burned garlic will ruin your entire dish. Yuck!

I tried this, I used scallions instead of spinach! It was good but next time I will cook it more. I used raw natural chickpeas intead of canned, soaked overnight and it turned out marginally tough but overall good! Thanks for the recipe!:D
Hi Tom made this for lunch & loved it (I have to have my mushrooms larger than that, I love ’em like to taste them. There is an Indian spice called Asofataeda (some Hindu’s use it when they are vegans & at certain times when you cannot eat onions or garlic. It smells of egg, not horrifically, but a 1/4 teaspoon or a 1/2 turns this into a vegan scrambled eggs. In fact you can add it to Tofu or the chickpea flour method for scrambled eggs.
I am a big fan of daal so could add grated ginger, garam masala, tin of lentils, tomatoes etc.. & it is a quick daal.

I tried this meal for breakfast just this morning, and since I didn’t have spinach on hand I used fresh radish greens from the garden and a bit of broccoli. This was a great high iron breakfast, just what I needed!

The video felt a little despondent… Not sure why? Parts of it didn’t seem to have the same energy, came across more like a chore as opposed to a great new recipe (might just be me)…
I tried it this morning. I wasn’t sure I’d like that much turmeric, so cut back to ½ tsp and added a pinch of cumin and a squeeze of lime. I liked it.

Tom a tip to increase flavor. When you add vegetables to a stir-fry (in this case, the onions and mushrooms), sprinkle some sea salt over them. The salt will draw out their water and thereby bring out their flavors.

Great recipe. I will definitely try it as I have osteoarthritis and I’m gradually switching to a mostly vegetarian diet. Plus I’m wheat and lactose intolerant so can always use new recipes. I’ll probably try it for lunch as well. I usually batch cook my pulses in a slow cooker overnight and freeze them for later use so will use a low sodium vegan stock instead of water. Less packaging waste. Tins are for emergencies only.

Tom, it’s safer and easier to use a sharp knife and cutting board while standing and not sitting. While sitting, your arms and muscles are not in the proper position to safely control the knife. Here is a video from Martin Yan’s school (Foster City, California) showing an easy and more efficient way to mince Garlic. Also works for Ginger too. Vegan for a year and a half and whole food no oil and never felt better! Warning! If you are a guy be prepared to wake up hard and horny! When you quit meat, dairy and eggs you are no longer ingesting all that estrogen they contain so testosterone really improves!

Though it’s not true you wont get food poisoning from being vegan. Lots of food poisoning comes from unwashed leafy veggies and sprouts.

lol its true that turmeric is rich in anti oxidants… i also use them for toothaches because they work terrific.. however.. when u fry them directly in oil like that.. u are destroying everything good. u always add it in the end or middle.. or if u do want it add it in the beginning then put it in a paste like tomatoes or whatever vegetable puree u are using..

I need to try that tofu scramble but I can’t make the cashew cream because I don’t own a good blender, what could be a good substitution?
When I ate eggs I liked scrambled eggs real creamy, not with big curds like most people seem to make them, so I made a scrambled tofu from silken tofu once because it was all I had and it was the best scrambled tofu I ever made. I think the BOSH guys use a combination of silken and firm. But I like your water idea!

Love these recipes!! I agree that russet potatoes can be dry I know that by experience after making them this morning (par boiled before frying) with chopped mushrooms, spinach and tempeh bacon! It came out mushy but it was delicious. Genuine question are you afraid of fats in oils? As in evoo, avocado or grape seed oil? And why? Am I doing it wrong?

Am I the only one that HATES wet tofu scramble lol. I also hated wet eggs when I wasn’t vegan. So disgusting!!! I use extra firm tofu for my scramble because texture matters
