Omg! Did THIS TODAY AND I LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT! My 1st treadmill workout, 1st HIIT workout! Since I’m a newby to the treadmill my run was at 8, I walked at 2 for the 90 min rest. This was amazing! Will do this every other day.
I just do 2 min walking at 3.5-4.0, then 1 min run at 8-9. Do that cycle about 6-8x. You can mess with the incline to change the intensity. Start at level 2 and work your way up to 6.
I can only jog for 1 min at 7km speed then my chest feels like its burning and i die. Also an online quiz said i am obese. Im 5ft 3 and 79 kg is that true?

I used to Run 25 consecutive minutes and ride for 15 minutes bicycle within 2 weeks I felt the fat is going to disappear. the only thing you need is to resist and dedicate to go 4 to 5 days a week.

Very good workout but can I do every day this workout???
I do 1min run at 10.0 speed and 2min walk 4.5 speed about 10ish times so around 30-35mins overall including cool down timer. Should i keep this up? I feel like death doing the 1min runs but i feel so much better after, rather than just running for 10mins straight that sucks after haha
no one can maintain a high intensity speed effectively and consistently for 30 seconds and worst, for 5 reps. There is a reason the 100m is called the 100 Meter Sprint and why they don’t call the 200m a sprint. I would suggest using a hiit zone between 10-15 seconds.

I did this and got up to 10.5mph with a 3 degree incline, thought my legs were going to give out but I’m gonna keep doing it! And try to improve! Bye bye belly fat
I did this and got a bit of a sweat on. Went maxed out on my treadmill at 12 and down to 7 on the rest. My home treadmill is quite basic so I’ve no incline so I wanted to not rest at a stop to up the workout. This makes tredmil running far better. I hate just running watching the minutes go by. It’s torture. This is more what I like. I hope to do more. Thanks.

I tried it for the first time and completed it. I couldn’t do it at 12 but i got to a good 9.5. I haven’t sprinted anywhere in years. Those breaks are just enough to recover but by the time you get to the 5th set you definitely feel it. Hopefully i can do this at least twice a week.
Probably a dumb question but does it have to be 12 speed to start to see loss in body fat?? Also out of breath does that mean gasping for air lol I’m so confused. But I really want to try this on my treadmill.

6.5 is a jog? you are obviously not working with hobit legs. My sprint is 6.8 to 7.2
Hi there, my treadmill only goes to 12km/h I believe that’s just over 7mph, I have it on its full incline but I don’t feel like I’m getting a full workout like I feel like I could do a lot more. Do you recommend doing more rounds or trying to get my hands on a faster one.

I’ve ran 10 miles a day at about 5- 5:30 a mile on the treadmill but I don’t think the results on the treadmill are the same as in real ground. I’m not seeing they big results
what to do when I workout at home and my treadmill´s max speed is 12 km/h that is approximately 7.45 MPH? is it enough? I found it weird cause I used to run for an hour at that speed….an now I´m suposed to take it as a spinting speed?

Thanks buddy. My 1st time doing this HIIT, was very intense. My treadmill only goes up to 8 mph so I kept walking at a slow pace in between. Also was able to get my heart rate in target zone by going up on incline.

What is the best time to do this HIIT routine? On an empty stomach? And how many times a week? I have a slim upperbody but my hips and thights are little big,so i want to loose some inches from my lower body.

I would say 20% (I was going to say 10%) of people actually know how to run correctly. Most just pound their feet and are an annoyance.

Hi Dr. Kevin, I’m about 280 pounds, I started to walk/jog on the treadmill at 340 lbs. Since last year I lost around 70Lbs. I attempted this workout yesterday and I love it, brings me such a high. I performed the 10 m on 6.5 mph/7 1 min on 1 min off (Stopped at 40 secs on some time. ( which is fast for me, my Heart rate is at 185 or more.) Can I perform this without affecting my joints at my weight?
By my 5th round,, the 90 sec rest doesnt seem enough, still huffing and puffing..i sprint at 10m an hour and 2 incline

Hello Dr. I’ve started doing HIIT following your recommendations and videos however I had a question. I also do intermittent fasting. I’m in decent shape and for the most part I can follow your steps with slight modifications. I read that the best way to burn more fat is to do HIIT during your fasting. I did that today and unlike other days when I worked out and it wasn’t during my fasting, I got extremely lightheaded. Any idea why that is and is this something you’d recommend and that it will get better with practice or is it something that should be avoided? Thanks
AMAZING workout. I pushed myself and on the last rep I was smiling. I didn’t think I could do it but I did! This workout is great I’d recommend it to anyone! I had a cramp by the end and he said if you have a cramp you know you pushed yourself and I just felt so great!

Amazing work out. My treadmill can only go to 8mph so i raised the incline to 10. For 30 minutes. I went from 147 pound to 143 in 2 weeks. 5 days a week.

You can always do 3.5 walking 90 seconds and then fast as you can 30 seconds. That way works the best for me. I still jump off on side rails and lower to 3.5 walk.
Dr. I have been doing the 20 minute treadmill 8 sets for about 2 weeks and it has been amazing thank you. But now I am getting so much pain in my legs. Mostly the outside of both shins and my left buttock shooting pain down. Do you have any suggestions? Am I landing wrong. I am wearing Aultra running shoes. Thank you
I did 10 mph with a 1.0 incline and completed all rounds… Afterwards I had to take a big …. Since my diet is high in fiber i.e. spinach, broccoli, chia seeds, berries, banana, apples, etc these are draining literally and it’s a lot of it too

I do 6mph incline at 5 for 32 mins go up too 8mph for another 2 mins then backdown to 6mph for 1 min recovery so a run for 35 mins
My other workout is 8mph incline at 3 for 20 minutes then down to 6mph for 5 mins
When I started in January I lasted 2 mins at 8mph and 6 mins at 6mph and being asthmatic as well I go on about 3-4 times a week

Great video. 1:1 rest ratio too intense for me. This 1:3 run/rest ratio looks more doable. Can I do a 1:4 ratio and still see good results? Coz I normally need about 2 minutes to fully recover

I completed the 20 min version of this two days ago and it was great, but not enough for me. SO happy I found this one! Today, I completed this one and it was definitely enough! Perfect amount of time and effort for me. With both of these videos, I was able to increase my speed from 7.0 mph to 7.8 mph, and 30 secs goes by quick! Smelly and dripping in sweat! Thanks! ❤

You said your max speed was 12 mph… is that equivalent to the speed button 12 on the treadmill?? I think I would fly off the treadmill! Lol
I love these workouts. A seven time Ironman and finisher of too many marathons I had grown tired of my winter treadmill runs. These workouts are perfect and have improved my speed enormously. And, it helps lose weight. I highly recommend these videos.
So i followed up doing this HIIT and what i’ve heard is that you have to do between 80/90%! but if i do the speed on 12 i can still breath and talk normally so i went up till 16 is that okay?
⚠️ do not incline 5 and accelerate to 12 speed if you’re 245lbs at 5’9. You’ll find yourself embedded in the gym wall like me.

My treadmill is broken at max incline so I was scared to do these for a while, but I built myself up first walking then jogging at max incline and now I’m able to do this. Despite having asthma too lol wish you all great gains!

Longer time running has much more health benefits: your blood is pumped to your entire body including your brain for longer time… 45 minutes at 6 MPH. And incline 3 can protect your knees! Interval running is good if you are training for combat sport.

I started off with a 4mph walk to warm up, then I did 7mph for half of the time left and 7.3mpb for the other half. On the final run I did 8.5mph.

Amazing workout.I did the whole thing.But my max was 7/8 and I reduced the speed to a 2 while resting.i couldn’t jump on to the side on my rickety old treadmill.my distance was 1.2.

I’m sprinting at 7 mph I have to consider my short legs, I’m a newb, and a female.
As a rule of thumb, you should be at least bent double preferably slightly nauseous during the rest phase ;).
My gym’s treadmills max out at 12 mph, so I HAVE to use incline to bridge the gap!

Please dont ask about how many calories, after this workout your metabolism will run high at least 8 hrs to 10 hrs, this is the important part, you will burn calories easily if you dont change your healthy diet
Sweating bullets. Set 11 was the hardest. I was burning. Set twelve had that light at the end of the tunnel feel.

Was able to determine what should be my speed on treadmill. 220-(your age) = maximum heart rate. Then he said that at least 85% of it.
220 27 = 193 max heart rate
193 x 0.85 = 164 at least is my heart rate. I started with 6 then 7, then 8 where I discovered that that should be my speed to attain at least 85% of my max heart rate.

I run 11 something 100 meter now I cant run im down to 12.3 or mid 12 plus 200 right under 27 I need 22 mph treadmill I run fast part of 200 18 19 mph like 150 meter or 160 now I try to go up to 22 mph for 200 and 15-20 second at least I do track and im doing track so I don’t have to pay for college I really need help

I did 8.5 and did 45 second rounds of running rather than full minute. Will work my way up. Still improving from last year when I did this video could only get up to 7.
I am just starting into HIIT workouts. I have done both your 15 & 20 minute HIIT treadmill workouts, both are great. The on thing I can’t seem todo is to increase my speed. I Spyro fractured my right leg a few years ago and really cannot run. How can I go about getting any more intense workout without increasing the speed 6 miles an hour? Or could you do a video using walking speed and incline. Thanks

I run almost every day the last 18years at my 90% or more intensity but achieved 14kmh only for a year when I was 30 years old! Now I m 46…no way to go on more than 12kmh without injury!
First off, this was awesome! I love the motivation of the timer and music, how it gets faster and slower. The only thing I’m not sure of is if my treadmill is set at mph or kph? It has a quick speed panel that goes up top 9.
Great workout for weight loss! You need however to look at your runner’s current shape. For a beginning runner this is literally going to kill them as WAY too fast, for someone of experience 8.8mph is nowhere fast enough.

I bought a treadmill today for QR 3000..And as a complete beginner,I did it at a speed of 3.5 for 30 minutes..But the screen was not showing any calories burned..Do I need to work out more or is there any setting to be made?

I loved your video, your presentation, the length and the intervals. Since I am 68 and very out of shape, I walked at a brisk pace for me and did a jog during the 30 second intervals. Perfect workout. I felt great afterwards. Maybe in a year I’ll be actually doing it they way it is intended.

Im 11 and my treadmill had the fastest speed of 12 mph so I done 1 minute run, 1 minute rest. This was very helpful

I love getting stronger and hate cardio so all i do in the gym is lift weights, i’m 122kgs but i wouldn’t call myself “unfit”, i can still do 15 pushups with good form and 5-6 chinups. I’ve been in one of those perpetual bulks haha, never got to the cutting part because cardio always seemed boring:( BUT seeing you talk me my way through it seems extremely interactive. I’m sorta competitve so i can hype myself seeing someone do it with me. I will do this at the same pace you’re doing it at one day, that’s my goal now:) Thankyou so much. It might’ve been just filming and putting up a single workout session for you but the effect it has had on me is that it’s 2 in the morning and i’m excited for cardio that’ll i’ll be doing in the evening FFS
You are graceful and yes it was wonderful.. May be you should add plank leg raise and right/left side plank.
You need to find a better treadmill, so you can sprint, and not do a fast jog. You do not get the full benefits without doing a true sprint. You aren’t doing 9, 30 second sprints on 30 seconds rest. You wouldn’t make it to the end. You could do 4, 30 second sprints, with a few minutes rest in between. You would get more benefit from that.
