Excellent, excellent video and informative. I have lost 71 pounds with a goal of 82 and next month will be my first cruise as a former fat guy on Anthem of the seas. I don’t have a big huge plan for the cruise just follow some simple guide lines as it seems Jason does on his cruises since losing weight. I do plan to take the stairs 99% of the time to burn now calories but I am sooooo looking forward to my first cruise in shape. I will be down 82 pounds by Sept 21 for our cruise. Again great video, informative and helpful.
Jason, how long have you been eating Keto? You look awesome! My husband & I tried Keto in January 2018 to March 2018 but experienced horrible GI issues. We lost weight but could no longer tolerate the “keto dump” as my husband called it! Now I’m doing WW, the weight loss is much slower & my GI is tolerating this eating better. But I really loved the Keto program.
Haven’t been going to bad. From New South Wales, western Sydney. Seem to get caught with the hidden sugars. Bread seems to be the one I. Come undone with. I’ve gone onto monk fruit sweetener. Can’t stand u stevia. Love the bulletproof coffee. I drink soda stream water, no additives. Messed up with dinner the other night by adding rice to my stuffed capsicum and tomatoes the other night. Had a handful of dates this week also. I did better last week with no sweeties except with sweetener in tea and coffee. Thanks for the help and encouragement. Blessings

I have done low carb for a few years, I will give in to fries, but I don’t do a bun on my burger and actually enjoy them better without the bun!
I’m on keto too and I want to stick to it as much as possible on our cruise. I can definitely stick to it for breakfast and maybe even mostly for lunch and dinner. What is going to break me is that melting cake!!!

Thank you for this video, my problem is binge eating after work or having cravings on the way home from work which is 35-45 minutes on a good day and then maybe stopping for a snack to eat before getting home, or on weekends. How do I stop all this?
I am trying Keto now. I am struggling with sauces. I have no problem leaving out the fries, pasta, rice etc but what about ketchup, bbq sauce, salad dressing. Making Keto friendly sauces is so time consuming and I don’t have the time so I end up using regular sauces. I hope I can still lose weight if I continue not making my own sauces. Are you eating berries or any fruit?
Jason you did an excellent job retraining your eating habits. That’s what it is. Learning to make better, fresher choices (I am eating an artichoke right now). What you eat, how much you eat and exercise is basically it. Our country had gone to the “fat side” and we did not use to be that back when we ate fresher meats and veggies. You did an excellent job and I can not wait to cheer on Alisa as I am back on my low carb eating habits too. Thanks for sharing and educating that there are good choices for food on a cruise.

Jason. April 4th two days before my Carnival Breeze cruise I started the same diet as you are on. Its been over a month now and I have lost 10 pounds. You are correct about sticking with it and the you will get used to it. On a cruise as you stated everything is made for you and all a person has to do is pick and choose. It wasn’t hard. Guys was kind of tough but I stuck with it. I had a double burger no bun and no fries. I do have a 6 inch sub for dinner at work because it gets difficult to figure things out. Thanks for the inspiration because I started because of watch you. I also cheat a little bit once a while and I drink my carbs 3.2 gram miller lites.

Jason: has your doctor checked your cholesterol since you started your diet? That is one thing that’s made me hesitate to do keto. I still really want to try it when I see what progress you’d made. I have several friends who’ve had to quit keto because of high cholesterol. My other concern (that I haven’t researched enough yet) is that a friend who follows a “nutritarian” diet (Dr. joel Fuhrman) swears that those on keto have longterm consequences for eating too much meat. Any thoughts? Sorry if I’m putting you on the spot, LOL. Thanks to you both for sharing!

I have been eating a very low carb “ketoish” whole foods diet for three years and have lost 180 lbs. At 52yrs I feel better than I did at 30yrs.
I have my first cruise coming up June 8th on the Vista (get your Vista videos out quick before I sail!) and I have been worried about all the temptations. I have appreciated watching Jason managing to find low carb alternatives on the buffet and in the mdr. And Jason you turned me on to Michelob Ultra dude and I am grateful. I hadn’t had a beer in almost three years.

This was great, I have been researching “carb cycling bodybuilding plan” for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried Nantray Carb Caboodle (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my neighbour got cool success with it.

I wear a fanny pack and put in a baggie sliced rib-eye cooked in my air fryer, AND I bring my air fryer in its box in my luggage. When I get to my destination I go and buy a couple Ribeyes and put them in the motel fridge. In this way I can have breakfast going to the airport, sustain myself during the wait for the plane, eat on the plane, yada yada yada.
Jason, Great Job on the weight loss. I have been on a Life Style Change Diet too and lost 32 pounds. no longer pre diabetic. You are right that on cruise ships it is easier to eat right. My favorite is a Big Mac Salad: two all beef patties, special sauce (1000 island dressing), lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed… (at home I sprinkle sesame seeds on the salad.) Just make it on a bed of lettuce and you get all the flavors, with none of the guilt. Good call on the drinking too, my favorite is Grey Goose Vodka with diet 7up.

I got invisalign & I’ll tell you what… I no longer snack. Sometimes I don’t even bother taking my lunch break at work because it’s so much work! You take it out, have to be near the sink to make sure your hands are washed before you touch your mouth, have to set it in your case, wash hands again, eat, brush your teeth and pop them back in.. It’s not difficult but it is when you only have 15 mins to eat.. There goes half of my break just messing with the invisalign. Definitely wish I got braces instead.. Also braces are cheaper lol. Just can’t wait till I’m done with it.. I am on tray 7 out of 18 now. I’m hoping to be done by my cruise which I should be if everything goes as planned. Happy cruising!

I have a hard time staying on it though bc with the invisalign you want to just grab and eat like you stated in your video. Just need to learn to have better discipline!

Congratulations on your weight loss. I have been doing Keto for the last 6 months but I canceled my February cruise because I knew I could not handle food on a cruise. This really encourages me that I can do keto on the cruise ship the next time my friends schedule the next cruise. I have lost 53.4 lbs. since starting keto. Thank you for posting this video. Congratulations. Although I am not on a diet when I cruise I try to be careful with what I eat. I don’t linger at the buffet. I cruised twice and both time didn’t gain much weight. Maybe 1-2 lbs. I was about to ask alcohol but you answered the question although I am with your wife that tbe choices are not too appetizing. Again congratulations and keep it up

Not sure what his goal is but I have 43 more to go to get to a good weight that will work for me. Some days it’s hard as I don’t see any changes but I’ll keep working at it.
