2 mile repeats at LT? Yech. Think I’d just do a 4 mile tempo run at LT pace. Seems like that would be a better workout and in my mind its easier.

How about a video on running etiquette? Training runs and races. My biggest pet peeve is running with head phones during races, especially single track trail races.

So are you back from injury? I decided to rest for a few days due to aches and pains instead of running through it. I had a little pain in the knee when I started running 6 months ago and was encouraged that it disappeared as I got fitter. Not sure what my question is, I realise it’s all case by case but do you run through a bit of a limp etc?
2x3kms that’s a killer one I do 3x2kms at 93% HR with 2 minutes rest and it is taxing… Have to try still with 2 minutes rest for 10k.

I️ have never ran before, but I️ want to start. I’ve done a mile but only once or twice. But that’s it! I️ know this seems crazy for someone who has never ran but how long/how far should I️ run if after a few months I️ want a solid 7 minute mile! That is my goal! For someone averaging 30 miles a week, do you recommend 2×2 cruise intervals? I’m currently mostly doing 20min continuous runs. Is 10% of weekly mileage as an upper limit for a single tempo workout (as recommended by Jack Daniels) a good rule of thumb?

I’m currently stationed in Guantanamo Bay, and I’m headed to training to be a field corpsman in a few months. The school I’m going to is in Camp pendleton which means hiking up mountains as well as running. I’ve learned recently that the way I run will cause problems later and I’m currently trying to adjust to run on the balls of my feet. Do you have any advice on how to adjust this, or how to prepare for 7 mile hikes with a 50 pound pack?

Thanks for sharing, as I like running over other activities. I train for half marathons and in the past full marathons. I have always struggle finding that balance with running and getting in my exercises for my abs and my arms and also my legs as running is just a forward motion and it only conditions certain muscle groups and I need to find that balance. Would love to see more videos or even a blog post on how to do it all and which days to do what. The most I like to run is 3 days a week now. Would love to hear your thoughts on what I should add in to my days training with running and the HBSG and of course the nutrition guide.
Hi Katie:) thanks for doing this video. I’m from South Africa, so we’re heading into summer now. I’ve started trying to get fit again and back into shape for running for athletics season. But the problem is, I’m not able to run a lot. South Africa isn’t the safest place to run around alone and my parents can’t take me to the gym during the week. I’m only able to run 3x a week. What workouts could I do at home to improve my endurance and improve my running without having to actually run? Thanks
