Why This Recipe Works. Quick and easy.Top stuffed peppers with a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese just before they are done and then return them to the oven and bake just until the cheese has melted. Use green bell peppers or red bell peppers, or any combination of colors.
Ground turkey or ground chicken may be used to replace all or part of the ground beef in the recipe. How to make stuffed peppers There are tons of ways to make stuffed peppers, and different recipes use different techniques. I remember when I followed your recipe and made these for my cousin when she came to visit me when I live in SC. That clown ate 6 of the 8 I made. But that let me know that your recipe was bomb. Thanks for all that you share with us❣️
Thank goodness I found this very similar to how mom used to make it (love the foil pan idea I remember scrubbing those pans in my childhood)
My mom passed away in January and I haven’t been able to remember how she made it exactly at least.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for this awesome recipe. I put manwhich in mine because I didn’t have tomato sauce and it was awesome. My family beg me to make these all the time. Thank you so much for making everyone’s tastebuds sing a glorious song.
Ive never made them like this. Always with cooked meat and rice. I love trying new things and can’t wait to try it this way seasonings and all (with cheese of course) because it looks delicious.
I just saw you make stuff peppers the way I always have and I’m 74 I thought I was going crazy for a few minutes watching all the other YouTube videos. I make corn bread with mine.Great video Noreen ♥️♥️♥️
Why do you put peppers in foil pan if you have to cover with parchment on top?
This recipe has become a favourite of mine. I make it very frequently and it never disappoints. You are my go to for dinner recipes and they never disappoint! Thank you Chef John
Wish you showed the ingredients prior to starting to cook. Slso list the ingredients under the video..
Oh GOD, looks so delicious I, can smell them through my laptop! FANTASTIC JOB!
Just now finding this video. I am so glad. I always pre-cooked the rice. Never again!
Looks delicious. I don’t have some of the ingredients but I’ll still give it a try right now. From where I come, we always use green ones, didn’t know red peppers were used also:o
My mom used to make stuffed peppers like this. The red sauce is soooo good over mashed potatoes!
I love stuff peppers. and this one was knocked out of the ball park. Looks soooooooooooo yummy. awesome sauce.
Praise the LORD! Look really good gina and color full!
I have tried several recipes where the stuffing is pre-cooked and then stuffed into the bell pepper. I tried it this way and there is a lot to be said about blanching the peppers first and then cooking the stuffing inside the bell pepper. So much better this way. The flavors melt together and the texture of the pepper is better. Very good!
I want to come to your house for your stuffed peppers they look so goooood love it
Wow look at that disclaimer in the description… I guess somebody must have tried to steal some of her vids before?
We, were really blessed with peppers this year, I makeing stuffed peppers for tomorrow’s supper. Nothing but the taste of goodness.thanks Noreen you have done it again.can you cook the rice just a little.
I use the same recipe but one thing, I add out 4 or 5 ginger snaps it really a different and know one can tell what it is but they love it.
Poo poo to replacing the cameraman, we all like Rick! Anywho, great recipe. Liked the par-cooking the peppers in the microwave, good tip
I’m sure this tastes good. All the recipes I’ve tried of yours have been family favourites. Baked Zitti and Scalloped potatoes Yum
Have you ever added cheese? Delish and an egg binds it together better. Looks yummy.
Ms.Brenda that looks so good!!! My mouth is watering! I have been missing you. Keep doing what you are doing my KIND of cooking!
If it was just myself they’d ONLY be green. I have weird relations that prefer red.
That trick is gold, using a spoon to scrape the pithe out of the bell pepper, thanks!!
1:55 The Worcestershire sauce and cheese are both full of salt. No need to add more 😉
Noreen my tablet shows you, talking it s a brand new tablet. All the vieo is showing Noreen’s kitchen and no pictures of you.I, can here you’re voice but can’t see you.sorry I, love you’re videos.
Are you making meatloaf for stuffed peppers??? Yuck. I adore stuffed peppers. I make hamburger but not meatloaf. Just my personal preference.
I made these and the Ketchup tip was great, and adding sauce in the mix kept them from being dry..
I cannot find the post for the recipe. When I tap the link it says the site is not private that someone may be trying to steal my personal or financial information. I went to the actual food wishes page and when I search for the recipe it takes me back to this video. other than that you’re one of my favs!!
EXCELLENT!!! EXCELLENT!!! EXCELLENT!!! Even though there is rice in this dish, mash potatoes and fresh green beans were a huge hit. Did I mention this was excellent?!?
So you put the rice into raw meat and the rice cooks that way? Don’t you get a lot of extra meat grease in your food though? Do you ever add onions?
There are so many stuffed pepper recipes out there. I’ve seen them made with cooked rice, raw meat, cooked meat, cooked rice…it gets confusing. I made mine with raw meat and cooked rice tonight (leftover tomato sauce too, to use it all up) and they came out really delicious. I followed this recipe as a guideline for the seasonings.
Noreen, you are the whole show, I love everything you make, because you are the real deal…
I cook my stuffing ahead, which makes the baking time shorter. Is there any disadvantage to doing it that way?
My mama be making these all the time years ago…
This right here always be poppin I’d eat like 3 of these bc there so damn good.
There a hit! Thank you for the recipe. I’ll be following you ♥️
Oh my gosh made these and boy are they good! I used some red rice (Ubuntu???) I happened to have in the pantry. Blended in well color wise with the stuffing and was very tasty. So good. Now I am up at 3:30AM sneaking one more out of the fridge!
Here’s some better tips for this recipe…
1. You can cook the rice completely. There is absolutely no reason for the rice to be partially cooked as you cannot burn rice inside a bell pepper in the oven, but it very easily under-cooked.
2. Don’t add the cheese on the top of the peppers until the last 15 minutes of cooking unless you want it burnt, and not in a good way.
3. There is absolutely no advantage to cooking the peppers, onion and garlic separate from the ground beef. In fact, it will only add to the flavor of the beef. Cooking it separately will add a good 10 minutes to your cook time so save your back.
I wish this guy did voiceovers when I was in high school and college because I would have paid him to read my notes for me…. I could learn anything from his voice lol I don’t even like peppers and I watched the entire video lol
These look awesome. I top my peppers with cheese. I like cheese melted a lot. These must be delish.
I just popped mine in the oven now we wait.. I’m excited to try them I put my own little twist to them added chopped onions n didn’t use that much tomato paste. I’m pregnant n don’t want too much heart burn lol. n I think once they are close to done I’m gonna uncover n broil them for a few mins.
You don not add any spices into your chop meat, Where does the flavor come from etc.?
I love your channel! My family LOVES your recipes! You have such a great personality as well! My daughter and I love your videos. You need your own cooking show on tv!
I want that with a melted pile of mozzarella cheese! That’s dinner next Sunday.
tried and FABULOUS THANKS! (taking to my daughter’s visit tomorrow. Along with hm fresh peach cobbler& southern honey corn.)
Fun video. Peppers look great! Ketchup, yes, that is also my Mom’s secret ingredient!
SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU MS BRENDA HOPE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE DOING BETTER HAVE. A GREAT DAY MISS YOU
Noreen, I was wondering if I wanted to cook my stuffed peppers in a pressure cooker what setting would I cook them on and for how long?
I make good stuffed bell peppers and this just gave me what I need to make tomorrow. I will use your recipe with only minor adjustments. Different color peppers are a must for me.
Like your pre planned menu can I copy your menu and recipes pleasssseeee
If I use 1 lb of meat, how much rice should I Use, or, cut the rice in half? ( 3/4 cup of rice)
Awesome video, Noreen. Thanks a lot.
This is the 5th stuffed pepper video I watched and looked up a few online. This one is completely different from the others. In the other videos they cooked the rice before hand and cooked the meat or whatever before hand. Then they stuffed the peppers and baked them for 20 to 30 minutes. Also you microwave the peppers before hand where the others didn’t do anything or boiled them in water before stuffing.
I don’t know which method I will use.. hmmm I’ll just use both and see which I like better.
So many people don’t make these like this. I grew up on this style of stuffed peppers. Anyone that does it with no sauce is a maniac.
I can’t believe I have been missing out on your beautiful cooking. Thank you so much for sharing. I’m so grateful it came across my account. Mrs. Gina God bless you also. Love love love your cooking.
Sincerely, Michelle Ellsworth, my pup Harley and my Kitty Liam from Arlington, Massachusetts.
You said 1/2 a minute then, you said, just a minute.
I’m confused!?
Awesome video, Noreen. Thanks a lot.
Guess what I want for dinner tonight…….Stuffed Green Peppers…..Oh MY. OH MY……….YUMMMMMMM
Dumb me, I never thought to level off the bottom! I love that you season your food. So many people post videos and present these dishes and put a tiny sprinkle of salt and pepper but mostly NO SEASONING! Great recipe I will be trying this. I have never saw parboiled rice?
Stuffed peppers is a Turkish dish, although many people know this as an Armenian dish, stuffed peppers is a Turkish dish.
love this video, very simple and easy to make! can’t wait to try it!
Well…. Now I know why I hate stuffed peppers… MY WHOLE FAMILY HAS BEEN DOING IT WRONG…. Now that I know how not to get a soupy mess I think I’ll try them again… Thanks so much to you and your grandma
Dona Gina, che canzone stai cantando? I tuoi video mi riempiono di speranza. Te adoro. Saludos de California.
Looks very good! Thank you for shareing! Quick? Since i do not have a big family how are the leftovers?
They came out sooooo bomb YUM you’re going to be the reason I get wifed
Second time making this. Best stuffed peppers ever! The only thing I added was two cans Campbell’s tomato soup with one can of water on the bottom.
I add worcestershire and bit of soysauce to the mixture its unbelievably delicious
Wonderful to see the stuffing was not precooked. Liked and subscribed. I’m having peppers tonight!
I just love to watch your videos. This looks delicious; I am going to try to make it. Thank you for sharing your recipes and your home.
Awesome informative Video experience Y’alls God Bless Ya
Should’ve thought better before adding SLEEPY JOE to your video.
I made this vegetarian by using beyond burger and vegan Worcestershire sauce. SO DELICIOUS! Thank you!
This is so fascinating. I wanted to comment on the stuffed cabbage video but couldn’t. I live in Middle East and we have the same types of foods and we call it dolma. I believe in Greece too they call it dolmades. My favourite is stuffed cabbage and stuffed onion leaves. Yum!!! We use very short grain rice which is kind of like risotto rice, tomatoes, lemon and lots of black pepper. For the meet it is usually tiny beef chunks.
I know what’s on the menu for tomorrow night thanks for posting
My second time making this dish thanks so much really delicious….my first time i didn’t use corn can’t wait to try dish…..yummy
Thanks for the tips! I ended up putting my own spin on it since I was a little limited to what I have on hand. I ended up with rice/ground beef/ onion/ garlic/sweet corn/ then I wanted some spice so I had some fresh salsa not the saucy type it was basically hot peppers diced veggies in a water like thin salsa. Drained the water then added it with herbs and spices and cheese. Stuffed the peppers and gave them a mushroom cap of stuffing on top then made a cheese cover for all. Plopped all 4 in the air fryer and cooked at 350 for 22 mins. INCREDIBLE!!! Golden crunch tops with cheesy deliciousbinside with a little kick to it!
Even tastier if you add some herbs and spices, such as chilli, paprika, and oregano.
Reminds me of my Italian grandma, who passed away 35 years ago. I miss her so. Gonna try these peppers this week!
You are such a natural at describing the process! I am totally making these! I love stuffed peppers, who knew it was so easy? Thank you! Subscribed!
These are sooo good! I topped it with Colby jack cheese and fried up some chicken with it such a perfect meal ❤️❤️
I made 6 of these delicious peppers a couple of days ago. My husband and I are fairly recent empty nesters and my mom who lived with us died a few months ago so I haven’t yet gotten the hang of making meals for two. Having said that though, I called up my cousin and gave 2 to him and when I tell you my guys LOVED them, it’s a gross understatement. Yay me!
Damn, that channel was ahead of it’s time…
…with staying at home and stuff
i would have sautéd my onions with some paprika and don’t add any parm and go for tomatoes juice it’s a lot lighter. you can do a big pot of this and don’t just stuff peppers get some zuchini and tomatoes and stuff it in the same mixture, i donno that’s what i would done, this is more of a Mediterranean classix, and adding cheese in here just throws me off. I’m addicted to chefs John’s vids, just didn’t like this one.
Love the recipe. I haven’t had stuffed peppers in forever. The jump in video quality kinda did throw me off a bit but nonetheless.
Its driving me absolutely insane that youre scraping up that beautiful cast iron pan with a god damn metal spoon. It makes my skin crawl lol
Not draining your ground leaves a lot of fat regardless of how lean it is. Also a tip for better doneness on the peppersblanch them in boiling water for 5 minutes before stuffing and baking.
I just recently started watching these videos and girl you are the bomb!! I made your banana bread and I have made it twice!! You make my day!
The stuffed peppers were yummy, but where was the smiley face?
I love you momma Gina keep making the videos I love them. You are amazing
Just made stuffed peppers using your recipe. OUTSTANDING!! Thank you!
I did the recipe at home!
it tastes very similar to an Egyptian recipe that has stuffed potatoes/peppers/zucchini, which reminds me of home
I love this it was very informative and very direct and your voice was very relaxing to listen to ❤️
Yummy stuffed bell peppers! Thanks, Ms Brenda Dee for the recipe.
These look delicious, but… the COOOOOOOOORN!!!!! Ugh! If there was ever a bane to my existence, it would be corn.
Made this tonight, im a new cook! This was sooo good and easy to do!!
looks great to try tommorrow but that’s only if I don’t get lazy and run to the store and buy the crappy stouffers brand tonight.
Is it important that there is space around the peppers? Or can I pack a few more in?
Do u have Instagram?i would love to follow you and see your everday recipe ❤
You are the first person I know of that leaves the hamburger raw (like my mom did) i missed a step when I last did not use par cooked rice… I do think my mom cooked it in a 425 degree oven
Monique, I am livid that I couldn’t find the smiley I watched THREE TIMES and my daughter watched once. Came to the comments and see where people are saying it is and I still don’t see it lmaooo
I made this recipe using green peppers that I got at my local Publix. The filling came out great but I found that the peppers did not fully cook at 350 degrees for 30 min. The next time I make these I will bake them for an hour to see if the pepper’s flesh cooks through. Has anyone else had this problem?
Hi Ms. Brenda. My condolences and prayers are with you. Love the peppers. Thanks for another great recipe. Get you some good rest and please send your current email address. God bless.
This is how we had them as children. I’ve tried making them so many times but never tasted right. This video was so good and showed me I was missing half of the steps! I have some rice and peppers in the fridge and we will be having this tonight thank you. Oh also can you show how to make stuffed artichokes please?
This is not vegan if you using ground beef… ♂️. But looks like a good recipe for real vegan
I made these yesterday!! And they were delicious!! Love Love Love
I just tried your recipe today and it turned out wonderful thanks for making the video!!!
Thank you
It is BEAUTIFUL and inspiring
You are special grandma Gina
I praise the dear Lord for you!
Made this last night, it has now replaced my old go-to stuffed peppers recipe, really tasty.
Those peppers still locked raw when she took them out of the oven
I absolutely LOVE Gina. I’ve tried so many of her recipes and they are all great. The family loves them. I’m so grateful for her channel because it makes it so much easier to learn some of my favorite Italian dishes like Chicken or Eggplant Parmesan. Right now during to the Covid shutdown, it’s difficult to get wonderful Italian food. Many restaurants have closed:(. But Gina is helping all of us learn how to make our own Italian food. I’m so grateful to Gina for sharing her knowledge and sweet spirit, and to your whole family for helping her make this channel so she can share it with the world. Thank you!!!
These are soo good) I used the mix of Italian sausage and ground beef and mozzarella!! Thank you!!!!
Gina is now my favourite youtube cook. I love watching your videos. Watched the tinning tomato video yesterday and today I made my first jar of tomato passata. Thankyou for these great videos. I am watching from Essex in England UK.
My 11 year old daughter has been begging for these. Thank you for the amazing recipe ma’am.
That’s very basic recepie. You’re better off looking up an original Turkish recepie haha
You can get a better tastes if you cook the onion first remove then do the meat. The meat will brown really well once the onions are removed.
Can’t wait to try these. Buying my ingredients tonight and cooking it tomorrow. Thanks for keeping it simple and easy!
I’m a single guy who’s taking care of a parent. He wanted stuffed peppers. You saved me. Thanks.
These were always a favorite when my kids were growing up. I never used the corn but I think I’ll give it a try. I also used Mexican stewed tomatoes. And like you I put cheese on the top because it browns and tastes so yummy. Thanks for another great video.
just wanted to say thanks as i almost made this tonight..(your version that is) i had to use the following as i didn’t have everything, i used caulflower rice (no rice) tomatoe paste (no sauce) onion powder (no onion) and chicken crumbles as i thought the hambuger i took out of the freezer wasn’t hambuger but a rump roast lol,, I’ll try again later as what i made was really good so thank you david
Your video is short, sweet and get right to the point. Hence, I just subscribed bc of this. TFS
I made these this evening and it turned out to be stellar! I tend to clean out the fridge and garden for freshest ingredients. This is a nod to my late Momma and it couldn’t have been better! Thanks so very much, Rachael ♀️❤!
The pepper’s should have been cooked for ten minutes prior to putting the filling in.
Well cooked peppers is where the flavour is.
But other wise great recipe
Always always always cut, break or tear off, or spoon into your creations when plated to show the color, texture and consistency.
Love you Nonna Gina you are such a beautiful lady. I love all your food but most of all I love your heart:) what a precious and amazing lady you are. xx
“Use your hands”…why not use food service gloves to cover up the nail polish?
Love Gina! I’m cooking her stuffed peppers right this very moment.

I followed your recipe to a tee as well, except that I could not find Italian parsley so I used parsley flakes. Also substituted minced garlic for garlic powder… It was amazing!!!

Hi Gina I was wondering if you can make a video on Cucuzza? Definitely one of my favorite dishes. Curious to see how your recipe would be. thanks again keep up the good work

Your voice is so uplifting and relaxing. If I need a recipe for something specific and you have a video on it, I always use yours. Keep posting please!
It’s better to steam or bake your vegetables. When you boil them it takes away the nutrients. I had to learn this myself.
Good evening, would you please give advice on how my channel can grow? I am one of your Subcribers. Thank you….
This looks delicious! Monique, I’m still waiting on my Watergate salad!

I’m so sure these stuffed peppers are YUMMY!! I like making stuffed peppers. I never thought about slicing them and placing them sideways. This prevents tipping and provides more servings. Great video.
So making these tonight. No onions tho. Those demon things aren’t permitted in my home.
Lmao I really don’t see how someone could thumbs down this video but whatever! This
Looks bomb. Imma make em this weekend
This is one of the best meals ever, with a side of mashed potatoes and corn!

Yasss Mo! (Can I call you Mo?!) We are are kindred food Spirits! THANK YOU!
This is how my grandmother taught me how to make stuffed peppers. We never precooked the rice as it would cook in the oven.
Looks delicious I’ve never tried stuffed pepoers with sausage

I’ve been thinking about making stuffed bell peppers or stuffed poblano peppers all week!

Very nice video mam. You’re going to make me look real good, when I pull these out for my lady. Really though. Thanks.
THANK YOU SO MUCH MS BRENDA FOR PUTTING YOUR FABULOUS RECIPES UNDERNEATH SO WE CAN HAVE THEM FOR LATER THANK YOU
You are adorable! This recipe is amazing and I can’t wait to try it!
So excited!!! This one of my all time favorites that my grandma and I would make together!!! Thank you for sharing❤️❤️
I’ve been looking over a week to cook stuffed bell peppers. Did not like most suggestions. LOVE this grandma. Both my grandmas died of Tuberculosis (TB) pandemic in the 1930’s when my parents were 5 and 7. And here we are again fighting for health. I had most the ingredients and kept running back to my computer following along. If you don’t mind I adopt you as my grandma for the day. I wish you health and wellness. Oh, my stuffed bell peppers were very good considering I didn’t often cook. God bless.
I had an ex-girlfriend make these for dinner one night, they were so delicious! I’ve been hooked every since, this was back in 1987, and like they say, the rest is history!, been loving them ever since!
My mom used to make these all the time. Thanks for this one.
she is so cute. will be making these “delights” this week.:)
I think your suppose to cook the meat first so as to drain the fat
I watched 2 presentations, both gave me exactly what I was looking for. They differed some, but I liked that most as it provided options I may not have considered. This was my 1st time watching this program on YouTube. Done very well. Ty
I love stuffed peppers and can’t wait to try your recipe. i have made them myself adding an egg, but never thought of bread crumbs.
Followed the recipe almost to the letter. Used 50/50 beef/pork, and smoked mozzarella, but G-dang it was so good! I bet yours were better. I’m not even Italian.
I live the audacity, the boldness, of a woman whose English isn’t perfect and she says FU and build a YouTube channel anyway. I wonder whether people for whom english is not a first language appreciate just what a huge step that is. My own mother’s Italian was probably a bit better than this but there’s NO WAY she’d have been so bold. I stand and salute. Roar, woman, roar.
Wow!! This is looking yummy delicious!! I will try this on my channel
Thank you for the recipe, I just messed it up with the rice by using regular rice. Regular rice needs to be boiled for at least 10 minutes first, I suppose before adding it to the mixture unless you like it crunchy.:'( Lord willing next time I’ll get it right.
Thank you for this recipe, my grandmother used to make this for my father. I couldn’t remember any of the ingredients except for the meat. Thank you for your recipe.
Another good one. You’re right about the rice, I’m usually wondering that…measured dry then cooked or cooked and then measure some. Lol
My mom (her name was Noreen too) used to make her stuffed peppers like that. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Now I can make them like her. She passed away in 2001 and I never got her recipe.
Yes looks so delicious i think I’ll even place it on a bed of rice with your hot water cornbread
I love these and they look great and are perfect for this time of year. Eating the whole thing is a staple for me, because I luv peppers.
I love this recipe! My Mom used to make these! Thanks for your recipe!
out of many recipes i pick yours, will make it 2day, must shop now. thanks chef John. p.s. v dig ur chicken wings recipe! Happy spring
I turned them over to drain any water that might be hangin out in there . Love her she should have her own cooking show.
Good Evening your bell peppers looks delicious, I never tried uncooked rice so the next time I make them I’m going to follow your recipe
Lol… I had to rewind the video because it looked like girl hands… Your funny… This is why I always love your recepies!
Okay I just made your recipe using Gardein brand beefless ground. (Hubby and I are cutting back on meat for our cholesterol.) It tasted amazing!!! Just like the beef but so much healthier. Your combination of flavors blends in so nicely! Just thought I’d share. It’s hard to give up those comfort meals when your trying to eat healthier. I’m happy to have found a healthy compromise.
YUMMY DELICIOUS! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING MS BRENDA AND GIVING US YOUR TIME THANK YOU
These look awesome! SN: If you drop the peppers in boiling salted water for 3-5 minutes they come out tasty and tender. Give it a try! Thanks again for a great recipe and inspiration!
This looks so good! Where did you get the spoon that looks like Mickey Mouse’s glove?
I usually brown the meat and break it up with onions after which i add the rice with water to cook about halfway. Then I stuff the peppers and bake until they are soft and tender. By then the inside is already cooked through.
As a child, I didn’t like these, but as I grew up.. I developed a taste for green peppers. Guess what I’m making for dinner tonight?!!! YUM Thanks for sharing this delicious classic meal!!:D
Hey Mama Dee. I have never had stuffed bell peppers but I’ll definitely will be trying your recipe for them!!!! Love love all your cooking and I bet your family does as well!! When are you going to make the old fashion chocolate cake with the crackling icing? Your mother in law told you the recipe. I haven’t forgot about that i know your busy cooking and doing other things just thought I’d throw in a little reminder
Smiley at 2:46 it is a blue smiley under the “canon” on the camera 2:45– 2:47 yayyy finally found it! And definitely trying this soon I have never made it with sausage but imagine it is delicious
I love you Mama Gina! I have made so many of your recipes and they always turn out delicious! I love your optimism and your sweet personality. When I am watching your videos, my husband and son now sit down to watch too! You are everyone’s Grandma! You family is lucky to have you!!! Love, Shari
My mom made stuffed peppers without rice. Any recipes without rice?
Nona Gina I love you and your cooking! You have taught me so much! Please sing in Italian in every video!
That’s cheating to sing an Italian song to your stuffing of course mine won’t turn out as good it hasn’t been serenaded….
I discovered this wonderful Nonna today. What a joyous lady, and cook. I will make these during the next week. Thank you for your posts Gina.
Noreen. U have become my go to gal. If I want an idea. I always search recipe noreens kitchen. And see whatcha got. So far have not been disappointed. Luv u
These look really simple to make and delicous! I just made some but I used quinoa with the ground beef and pre-cooked both. I love them this way too yummy!
I swear everytime I’m craving something, you come out with a video for it. Hehe. Looks yummy!
Made these today, but cooking them in the slow cooker since it’s too hot to turn on the oven. Love you Gina. God bless you.
Cherish Nona. She is a treasure with her storytelling and singing. I loved watching her cook. Thanks for sharing.
Thank You Mama GinaNext time I make stuffed peppers they will taste so much better.GOD BLESS YOU!♥️♥️♥️♥️
Hmm..I would’ve never thought to blanch the bell peppers (I’ve been doing it the hard way). Just pure genius (not that you aren’t a genius already)!
I just finished making these and I’m ready to eat!! Thank you!
oh, can I make and freeze these???? my garden has exploded with peppers and I need to do something with them, lord knows whats ahead this covid year.
Thank you I needed to my gf back into the kitchen. She’s been acting out.
Hello Mrs. Gina I love watching your videos and your food looks delicious. I’m learning Italian words as I learn your recipes
Hello MS Gina
Love the accent reminds me off all my Italian friends in Monterey!
I’ve enjoy watching you in your garden as well as your cooking videos
You make me smile when you sing
I love it
Thanks so much
Brenda
Thank you so much! I made stuffed peppers last week….wish I would have watched this before I made them
Looks delicious, but how long do you keep in oven?? Want to try this, but need to know how long to keep in oven and the temperature. Thank you and God bless!
Yes, I made this and….. woooo eeee it came out so good. It was so easy to make. Thanks girl. Hugs
Thanks for the tip on cutting the peppers down the center. It made it much easier for me. I made this the other night (for the first time in many years) for four people (my husband and me and two guests); the filling was just enough for all eight halves of the peppers. The dish was a huge hit with everybody! I felt humbled and truly blessed. Thank you for all your great recipes.
Looks so yummy!
God bless you Grandma Gina
Aloha from Hawaii❤️
you always have the coolest ‘serving ware’. are they freebies or do you buy them all?
Awww, you’re so pleasant to listen to. Those look very delicious. I will try
Thanks for this!!!! I have been wanting to cook some some stuffed peppers.
Do y’all think it’s a good idea to put chicken and gravy as stuffing
If you keep the meat raw and mix everything up and stuff the mixture with the veggies, rice, and raw ground meat and then put it in the oven, it takes a little longer to cook in the oven but when you cut into the stuffed pepper it keeps the pepper intact and it’s sooo delicious. When the meat is cooked it gets really messy when it’s done.
aww, you’re so adorable. you remind me of my grandma. thank you for the recipe, I’m going to make it for dinner tonight.
You take me down memory lane. You remind me of my grandma who was also a great cook. I just happened to see your YouTube channel by accident. You’re quite interesting to listen to. I just love your Italian accent. Thanks for the stuffed pepper recipe. I’ll cook it tonight.
My Nonna passed in June 2000, I do remember she used to make these and other great Italian cooking. I am going to try to make these soon, looks like a great recipe.
Cooking it today using turkey instead. Actually just put in the oven.
GOOD EVENING MS.BRENDA FROM BRENDA… (ON SON’S APP FAN AGAIN)… LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. BLESSING TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY..
Wonderful. Thanks for sharing! I will make them soon for sure!
pro tip when you make the rice make it in beef broth instead of water, love your videos…
short, sweet, to the point. I hope more tutorials on Youtube are like this.
Getting ready to make these again because they were absolutely delicious. Thank you for your wonderful recipes.
I could have sworn you were gonna say ‘And there were the bell peppers right next to the cat litter’ Lovely
Love your channel. I’m learning to be a better cook for the family. This is the best stuffed pepper recipe.:) Thank you!
Oh my gosh, October 2019, when life was normal. I watch this just to be back there for a while.
How I cool when I’m drunk 20:48
Edit I was drunk watching this. I would’ve corrected my misspelling.
We planted bell peppers this year and all I can say is that we had a lot of them, that we were able to pass along to friends etc. Decided at the last minute after already slicing them up and putting them in the freezer, wanted to make some stuffed bell peppers and came across your recipe. It came out and tasted sooooooooo GOOD. THANKS
Looks deli but i love red bells peppers. So thats what ill be using!
Love you mom!!! Enjoy to watch your delicious food!!! God bless you!!!
What a wonderful person
The passion and love for cooking is so genuineThese Italians are an unique race. All the best Enrico
My mom always made her stuffed peppers with raw meat, although she didn’t add rice. I think these look yummy!
OMG I am Sooooo in Love W/Grandma Gina❣️ Blessings
Very inspirational! I have already come up with so many ideas to do this dish just watching this wonderful video. Thank you!
Love the video. Wish I could have known my grandmother and her cooking.
Just made these with a few small moderations based off of what I had on hand. But they are soooo good! Saving this recipe! Thank you!
Your site is one of my go to recipe sites!
I could listen to her all day long…what a precious lady…as well as a fantastic cook!
Really enjoyed watching you prepare and cook.Remind me of my Gram many years ago.Thank you and may God bless❤️
Better tip for what? This woman obviously knows how to cook. From ingredients to the necessary element of love required to cook. God bless you grandma.
I don’t even plan on cooking stuffed peppers, I’m just hear to listen to her talk.
One of my favorite dishes. Yours look wonderful, Ms.Brenda. Thanks for sharing and God bless you!
Check out the recipe: https://www.allrecipes.com/Recipe/236359/Beef-and-Rice-Stuffed-Bell-Peppers/
This is a great recipe. One thing I’ll ad is that I’ve found no need to cover while baking as the peppers will contribute plenty of extra liquid. Otherwise such a great recipe and also provides plenty of options to ad other ingredients one likes. Thanks dude.
I swear every one else was cooking the meat then stuffing them im like no I made that mistake before. Im glad I found ur channel.
Just made these for dinner! Loved the sauce and the meat stuffing! Nice tang from the vinegar! I didn’t have green peppers so I used yellow and red! Big mistake..should have just gone to the market! Will make again with green!
I made your peppers, fantastic chef, only thing is wow it made a lot of peppers lol. Q, can it be frozen? Thank you
We made this recipe today and it was delicious!! Such a hit and relatively easy to make.
For emergency tooth abscess, earaches or toothaches relief…instead of antibiotics…eat/chew one whole garlic clove, not the whole bulb or head, just a piece of clove, take with water, water, water. It is painful as hell, so hold on to the nearest table for about 5 minutes of intense intestinal detoxification and blood purification. It takes about 12 hours to kill the bacteria. You can also blend it with 8oz of water and drink it.
As a kid, my mom used to make this quite often, always with the green bell pepper, and I always enjoyed everything about it except that bitter taste.
I haven’t had it since, because I can’t get over the bitterness, but I might finally try it again with red.
The funny bit, is I didn’t learn until I was an adult, that my mom hates the green bells just as much as I do, and I still don’t know why she never switched it up.
Unless just like me, she didn’t know the different colors had different flavors.
I’ve been making this for a few years, it does not disappoint! The wife’s keto, I sub out the rice with riced cauliflower. BOOM!! DELICIOUS!!! THANKS AGAIN CHEF ✌️
You’re a treasure Gina really love watching you cook you sound like my grandmother love it bless you
This is a great recipe as is though I do add a tbs. of ground fennel seed to up the sausage flavor.
how to make stuffed pepper with junior Chef Kevin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBesMTV0pYM
Man this lady kills me! If I was her man they would call me the round about man. I am 5’8” and I would be around about 450 or so. Man this lady can cook . Her family is lucky .
I grew up on the green pepper version. About once a year, my aunt would make enough for a small army and invite the whole extended family. It was a pig out memory I’ll cherish forever. She served it with garlic bread and salad. Thank you for taking me back to those great times.
John I love your cooking videos. I am getting a error message when i click your link to the website. Maybe it’s my computer maybe not, has anybody else experienced this.
When i was in elementary school I aways looked forward to stuffed bell peppers for lunch
Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
no green too ikky red yellow orange are so much easier to take on the tummy
I’m 23 years old and I’m cracking up at this. You need more recognition, Sir!
Can’t seem to be able to hook up to your web site for the recipe of them thar peppers.
THIS IS THE VERY BEST STUFFED PEPPER RECIPE I’VE EVER TRIED. MY GO-TO RECIPE NOW, THX CHEF.
Zingende oma in de Italiaanse keuken❤️echte schatje en maak heel lekkere eten dankjewel oma
I absolutely love your videos, I have learned so much from them! For a vegetarian take on stuffed peppers… @cx58
A great recipe, classic stuffed pepper flavor. I added a whole egg to the meat stuffing.
I just made this. My instincts were telling me that this was too much rice and not enough salt. I was right. This was a big bland rice ball. My suggestion to anyone that’s going to make it cut the rice in halve and add more salt plus some pepper. What would probably work great is a packet of Lipton’s top secret.
Girl you gotta start uploading more! I feel like it’s been forever! This looks bomb normally I don’t care for stuffed peppers, peppers always give off that strong aroma when you handle them and I get tired lol but I would love this!
Can’t wait to try. I looked at various recipes and yours is the keeper. Love how you teach. I’ll let you know how they come out.
Best recipe for stuffed peppers. And YES, green peppers are way better for stuffed peppers.
I just finished the best stuffed pepper I ever ate! My only divergence from your recipe was I used an aged Gouda. Brown rice. Other than that, I had the laptop in the kitchen and you as the instructor! Magnifico
Chef John is a great cook but a better comedian. No better chef no better laugh master. Love ❤️ you
John
I love stuffed peppers and your recipe tasted fantastic! Although I found the stuffing to be too “loose”, as in falling apart. Should I have drained the diced tomatoes thoroughly? As far as taste goes I’m inlove!!!
Love you Grandma…I will be trying your recipes soon…thank you for all you do. We love you. God Bless You.
What would be wrong with a variety of peppers-red, green, yellow, orange, purple? And sorry, but although I love the addition of the sausage, I gotta have mine standing up with the tops as lids.
Have you ever thought about using chicken instead of hamburger?
Just finished my second batch with your recipe!!!! Delicious
Red peppers for stuffed peppers? That’s unheard of in my Italian house!
I made this very good. It’s has balanced flavor. Most of the Stuffed Peppers are bland. I would make extra sauce for the bottom of the casserole dish as mine reduced. Very good saved to favorites.
Hey…u didn’t poke holes in the green ones like you did with the red.?????
THis is what I plan to make for the church pot luck.. I love your voice chef john..
Hey john, finally got up the nerve to put your wife to work, lol, is that nail polish or blood on her fingernails, where she gave you five across the eyes, lol.
That looks really yummy! I’ve never made them before, but may try them now. Thanks!
these are great! the first time i made this recipe i used GIANT jalapenos! they blew everyone’s mind. Thank you Chief John
I do mine the same way, except I add 1/2 beer to bottom of cooking pan, added flavor soooooooooo good
John, you kept mentioning the bitterness of the green bell peppers. To reduce the amount of bitterness to a more pleasant level, I always turn the cleaned peppers upside down in a microwavable dish, add water about a quarter way up the pepper, cover with cling wrap or the plastic bags grocery veggies are brought home in. Nuke them for 5 to 6 minutes and rinse and cool them. Very mellow and ready to stuff.
No disrespect intended chef john but your wife has lovely hands. Now I am curios what she looks like.
My mom made this often when I was a kid…I hated bell peppers and onions back then so it was always my worst nightmare dish!! Yours looks just like hers did and now that my tastebuds grew up, I can’t wait to try it again:)
This is amazing, just made it tonight and I’m definitely going to make some again!
You are a the best of a the cook in the World. I think you a get better a lookin and a smarter every a day. Great.
I love stuffed peppers-they’re like individual meat loaves! We like to add the cheese on top. Yummy!
Made these tonight and they are delicious! Fantastic recipe!
Great recipe. Have made these 3 times now. So good. They freeze and warm up really well so I always make extra.
I real liked this recipe. It was very easy to follow. The peppers are in the oven now but I have high hopes for them. Thanks for sharing and I’ll let you know how they taste or rather my kids will.
I tried to go in the internet and get your recipes. They went through about three different links and I ended up with a link to McCormick. I guess it’s their recipe. But I wasn’t even able to get to it. Very misleading. I’m an old man trying to learn how to cook different things for my wife and me. And I remembered stuffed peppers from my youth. I’m very disappointed. Why did you have to pretend that these recipes were yours? Or at least send a link directly to the McCormick site? And you are the top hit on my YouTube list?????
Top with some bread crumbles and grated parmesan, brown those and it’s perfect. I love stuffed peppers.
Very good video. My mother used to make these and I’ve made them myself for years, with little change. I’m 70yo and your way of making the meat stuffing is excellent. The only difference is the addition of cheese into the stuffing and I leave my peppers in the oven a little longer. Thank you for sharing your stuffed peppers with us.
Grandma would cook them buried in the sauce low for 2 to 3 hours on top of the stove
Thumbs up my Dear! Looks good.Great minds think alike…I started blanching my peppers because I’m greedy & hate waiting for them to come out the oven. Thanks for the lil tips along the way.
I’m doing baked bbq chicken, dirty rice,buttery/garlic green beans, potato salad for dinner. I think imma stuff a couple of red peppers with that dirty rice
Love this!! We make these in Algeria, except we scorch the skin till burnt and peel to get great flavour and texture depth. The filling is more heavily rice to mince ratio and the tomato sauce is cooked separately and consists only of garlic, olive oil and salt&pepp. Subscriber of many years, thank you!
You should rinse the rice at least several times before you incorporate the rice into the mixture.
Chef John every time I make one of your video recipes it is a hit. Always so simple and delicious. I made this tonight exactly according to your recipe and my family (including my dad and mother-in-law) gave it two big thumbs up. Thanks to you I look like I really know how to cook! LOL. Both the sauce and the filling were so tasty. I’ve made several of your recipes and you have yet to disappoint. Thanks!
Your personality is AMAZING!!! You make everyone’s mood so much better!
So sorry to say but do you notice that she packs the salt in and then when she sprinkles the pepper she’ll give like two little shakes other than that I love watching her cooking and gives me some great ideas
I made these three times, and everybody liked them a lot, including myself. The only thing that I never seem to have is, fresh parsley, balsamic vinegar, and white rice. I had to use dried parsley, omit the vinegar, and used rice pilaf. I tried it once with white rice, but I think that I liked it better with the rice pilaf.
