I prefer spiced rum in my mojitos not sure why for me tastes much better
This is not mojito it’s lemonade drink. U were wrong from stating itself. Plz check the real recipe for mojito. Initially I thought my head phone not working n then I realised she is not talking. U have been drinking Lemonade instead of mojito.
I must try this! Thank you for sharing and happy birthday
I am in middle of a government lock down, and this video is forcing me to use up last of my remaining gin stocks. But i do have some mint and couple of lime in the fridge so what the hell!
Nice video. What makes me sad though is that most cuban cannot afford paying for a mojito, it is saved to buy food, and most of the time there is no food either
I learnt to prepare it on a cruise. I like your spanking method. Will try.
Don’t use the lemon with the skin! Only the juice!!!
The taste of the skin is way to dominant it’s almost gonna taste like a caipirinha
Thats how i do it without any knowlodge, but only ingredients. Nice
Wow jitni ye recipe dykhi sab s best mjhy ye e lgi h. Insha ALLAH m Kal e try kru g
Ooooooh finally!
Nice and simple tutorial, well explained, with a bit of humor.
10/10 far better than the pretentious bullshit I’ve seen so far!
Also bonus point for half drunk Jamie Oliver XD
Happy birthday for tomorrow!!! >:D< just found you and you are A M A Z I N G!!!
In quarantine in NYC due to covid19. I have to buy and know how to make the essentials.
Making the Best mojito in the world..
Tender pours bacardi..
Rum: AM I joke to you!?
let me tell you this mojito will be heat in China since 2020 June 12th
Sorry but I’m an American and idk what soda water is:// Brits help please
One of my favourite drink… I will make it at home… thanks for sharing!!
Hi Steve I’ve following you channel for the month or so really nice videos. I’ve started making them and I really enjoy it. Just a quick question I saw you pina colada video and made it at home using a blender the drink came out well but after a while the liquid kinda separated and settled at the bottom. Anything I might’ve done wrong for this to happen.
I ❤️ mojito this will be my first spank thanks Jamie!
I don’t know why but that is so fascinating. Thank you for the cool Video! Going to try this for sure.
Thank you t the book.really amazing with photos that’s really easy.hope if I can find the same here in UAE for Gennaro and Martha.but must be same with photos and explanation.
Happy Birthday. This recipe just brought back memories of downtown Santa Cruz.!!!
Dan is the best mixologist i hae seen, and hes passionate cocktails always makes me to do my job well, also he gave me the insperation to create my own youtube channel,it anyone wanna check my channel and give a support you welcome https://youtu.be/k5MI_jiI7xA
Takes way to long and the mint is not fresh and the lemon wedge should be included for garnish as well
Mojitos are my favorite drink! Def going to make this on the weekend
This is one of my favourite drink.
What video editing software you use?
I’m making a nonalcoholic so instead of rum I’m adding sprite
My friend sees this video if everything is better with spank i could spank my math teacher and make his classes a bit more lively.
Got some nice Yurba Buena growing on my Balcony in Florida. Sipping a nice mojito right now. Although he is using my whole plant lol. I clearly need to wait until next year to make it right!
I tried on it way and my client likes it and also same on caipiroska thanks Jamie u r the best
Me and my friend made this drink at the speed of the video without pausing it, thanks Dan!
He could make me the world’s shittiest mojito and I wouldn’t even complain
Hi Lisa, If we wanted to make it alcohol free, we would just leave out the alcohol?
There’s something awesome about one of the richest chefs in the world not having a muddler lol
It’s nice that u showed a simple way to prepare the Mojito, which makes it tasty and refreshing.
Thanks…
A little specification: They put first ice and rum directly on ice. They say, this make a reaction between rum and ice and the taste is more pronounced. I don’t see a difference but I make like this every time:). Good luck!
Help mehh! So what is this sugar syrup exactly? And by soda do you mean 7 up(sprite) or mineral water? (Water with gas) cse dude soda in my country is coca cola and sugar syrup hmm. What kind of sugar syrup exactly? Is it store brought?
Great recipe and super delicious! I also like to muddle a few lime wedges with the mint, simple syrup and rum gives a good balance and keeps it from getting too sweet. Cheers!
I ordered this once at a bar having no idea what it was other than minty and the bartender got mad and straight up told me no. Love to try one someday but I guess I have to make it at home.
Need to see this from MTV awards 2002:)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW7rvp0S4XI
Thanks for the video and the recipe! I like this drink! We’re sorry you went bankrupt Jamie!
I tell you why you don’t get this mojito in the states: if you have to invest all that time and effort making one drink that means you work a a slow restaurant. No bartender is going to spend that much time making one drink… if you have to do that it means you are no making any money…
I’m so sorry to ask by soda you mean sparkling water or soda usa sprite?
5 minutes for 1 mojito toooo long imagine 200 clients impossible…
So you treat mint like you do with a Mint Julep of elegance with the muddle, right?
Your voice already made mi taste that mojito.thnx for the demo
Man this whole comment section must have never been behind a bar:) the only difference between this and the US version is the whole sugar and the large amount of mint used
I need to try this, usually I crush my mint and sugar, because I like pieces of mint in my drink.
I wanted to punch this dude in the face the entire time he was talking
I hate mojitos and won’t make it again a girl acquaintance of mine I chat to at the fitness club told me they were so great and etc and that her brother makes them. Never tried one although thought OK I will see what she raves about. Did twice with no taste as a result. Mojito has no flavor it tastes of fruit juice. Or no flavour for the making of it other than juice. So you may aswell drink lemon or lime juice straight and not waste money on that shitty white rum that the recipe called for, I will have to tell her that I am not that impressed with those
That’s not how you do a mojito,
Firstly, you don’t rip or tear any of the leaves as this leaves a bitter taste.
Secondly, you use an exact quantities fo sugar to lime so you have a balance.
Thirdly, you use crushed ice and churn before adding your soda water as the last step.
Thank you so much. I had bought the ingredients but when I got home I thought how do I make Mojito’s. I did have the thought I want Bacardi White. So I had bought this too. I enjoyed the instructions. ❤️
Now I finally know what to do with all that mint growing in my “veggie garden”!!!
This was posted 5 years ago and steve is still reading and highlighting comments. Coolio.
Dude that’s liturely the same recepe that most people in Europe use with the diverence that lots of bars here use brown sugar ♂️
The trick is actually the ice if the ice is watery the drink sucks
this is not how you make a mojito. This is a bitchito: mojito for bitches.
Happy Birthday!! Love your channel!! Looking forward to trying your mojito recipe!
sometimes the easiest things are the best things. mojito is my all time favorite.
When did you pour rum into the glass??anyway Man U did a great video
i like your style man…but this mojito is far from perfect. (im drinking YOUR mojito right now dude…and NO, is NOT good)
I have seen 7 video until I find yours which is the right way to do a mojito!!!
Thank you for sharing
My neighbor made these for us I got drunk at night I got a DUy and I was 12 at the time got taken away by CPS now I’m 56
Interesting. This is really quick. I typically muddle my mint and fresh limes with a little sugar before adding rum and soda water
Come to montana ill make you the best huckelberry mojito you ever had. Onky place to get one on the planet
I had my first white rum in ages. It tasted exacly spot on like my forst experimental moonshine. It was even a clear Isoprpapanol-2 taste. So not real ethanol. Lots of ace”tones”
Hi Mr great chef, i am from Pakistan, i have been watching ur recipes since 20 yrs, a biggg fan of u, i love mocktails but they are very expensive in restaurant, can u teach to make simple and non alcoholic mocktails… please it is a request…
Как на коктейли из 4 ингредиентов можно сделать 12 ошибок?
Стыд!!!!
Подумай! Может Барное искусство это не твое?
Stir sugar for 2 min .. Dude your customer will run away..
It’s better you put sugar syrup.. Easy no need to show like classic theme..
the best Mojito with Bacardi? Come on, smell that stuff and compare it with Havana or anything more valuable and you will be disgusted.
Nice. Except I like to measure the lime so I can be assured it’s balanced.
A simple class. Funny thing is you can’t get a mojito at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba! Not a single bartender even knew what it was.
Can’t wait to try this out, never had one before:-) Happiest birthday wishes to you!!! xo
Could you do a video where you show us tips to go grocery shopping
Sugar syrup… come on man… Make the drink right. Use real sugar, and muddle that shit.
It’s really great, I tried it thank you so much Lijjat -the real taste and team,
You’re making a video for YouTube and couldn’t find a fresh sprig of mint for the garnish? Look at that wilted piece of shit lmao
At least I’m not the only one who thinks this guy is full of shit. That drink is horrendously pretentious.
My husband made these tonight and he LOVES them!!! Such an easy but good recipe. The honey makes it! Thank you!
Love your drinks can u tell me how much you actually put of equal parts of sugar and water for the syrup did you have to boil it or anything
You naughty man…. bet you love a good naughty spank every now and then… always spanking the poor mint leaves
There is a link to a video on sex positions in the description
Idk why people use bacardi for this drink while attempting to make it “authentic”, its not even made in cuba anymore. I suppose its due to massive marketing from bacardi
i searched this up because i was reading a story and the bartender made a mojito-
happy birthday girl i love all your recipes and your channel hope you do more videos.p.s am trying to do your recipes for a new healthy lifestyle love u
I make them all the time and another way to bring on more mint flavor is to spank the mint before you put it in the glass.
The bartender has to wear a tuxedo shirt and bow tie outdoors in the Tropics of Cuba must be very very humid and hot.
Does it still work if you use Vodka instead of Rum? or do you have to use clear rum?
Thanks for this lighter version. I love mojitos but always feel guilty after because of the excess sweetness.
Just tried it and this is the best way to make them. Thank you for this video. I have been looking for this flavor.
Mate I will show you how to make monito shit one I have ever seen
Now that’s a mojito… I don’t see bartenders using that tool to crush the mint anymore
I love this! I’ve never made mojitos at home but this video makes it seem so simple so I’m definitely going to give it a shot! Happy Early Birthday Lisa!
Happy 29th Birthday or is it 28 my bad sorry! Lol as always awesome video
wow loved it.. look at this little kid making his Mojito https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_SpictCTlI
Nice! My favorite cocktail!!
I admire how u film, edit, etc all by yourself.. quality is amazing!!
Hi guys! if you’re interested with bartending stuff, we are also doing “Bartender Challenges” on our vlogs! Please check out on our channel as well <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gm0JXkZfvEo&t=8s! Thank you and cheers!!!
Ok so… as a bartending performance? No. Terrible. Top dollar customers would be very disappointed.
As a quick guide for a busy hotel where you take the drinks to large seated parties who have already been drinking?
Absolutely. This would do for a Mojito style tasting drink. You lose major points for the link in description though, creep.
I listened to the intro at 1,25x speed and it sounds exactly like the intro of a big youtube Channel but i forgot wich one it is and it’s too annoying
1:19 trust me, I once beat the shit outta those mint leaves and the entire drink just became bitter instead of refreshing
Hi guys! We’re at the end of summer which means we need to enjoy all the warm summer days we have left! And there’s no better cocktail for lounging around the pool or enjoying in the hot sun than a refreshing and cooling mojito. Hope you enjoy the recipe! xo Lisa
You could probably even substitute for mint syrup and completely skip the mint aside from garnish.
Happy belated birthday, Lisa!! I only just discovered your channel this week but, my goodness, I’m so glad I did! Your videos are stunning. Keep it up!
Great video, but it would be appreciated if you hold the camera a little more steady:)
Thad castle brought me here
Nice garnish, dude. This drink is as faux pas as your suit. Worst way to make mojito.
Oh dear just oh dear. White granulated sugar? Please tell me where you work so I can avoid it.
Everyone in the comments is talking shit but not providing their superior methods. It’s just macho posturing bullshit.
Thanks Lisa and happy birthday!!! Down here in Australia we just celebrated the first day of spring yesterday so it’s not really warm enough for this kind of joy, but I may need to make a exception to be in the running for a vitamix 😉 Really looking forward to the warmer days.
The places where i worked we used sprite… Did you try with sprite?
Tip: dont facking make this if your drunk, 1:44 hand still hurts from hitting my knuckels on the table. Tasted great tho
I’d love to try this mojito. I honestly was very disappointed with the mojitos I had in Havana. They were all just sugar water with very very little rum. But maybe my taste is the problem, not sure. The good news is that most bars in Cuba were very nice about adding extra rum without any additional charge
I happen to be drinking a mojito as I type this it was 38 degrees today in my neck of the woods, and they’re about my favorite way to cool down but it’s NOTHING like the sanitised and rather insipid looking concoction being put together here.
This is my favorite cocktail ever. Your recipe looks so good and amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us
He says at the end the perfect mojito the shitiest mojito ever
That man is so elegant to even pour a little bit of rum on a glass
Damn I guess I must make a video to show how to make the real Mojito….
Lol. Good video…. you can use sugar; however, this technique is no different from using simple syrup.
Haha! This is so funny when he looks so proud of himself putting that limp bit of mint in there at the end!
what kind of soda do you use, is it just sparkling water or soda like sprite? The term soda can be both in german
Just made it and it turned out to be soo good….p.s-better than at KFC
Strawberry Mojito
Rum
Gold Rum
Mojito syrup
Strawberry syru
Menth leaf
Top up soda water
ok i like make cocktail
Or you could just get a little single serve Cayman Jack mojito, toss in some fresh mint leaves, add ice, a small squeeze of lemon, garnish with both a lemon slice and mint sprig, comes out perfect and people think you are a master mixologist. You could use lime instead of lemon but I prefer lemon and the color contrast of the yellow lemon and green mint leaves gives it a wow factor lacking in most mojitos.
I’ve been looking for a muddler and stirrer for cocktails….thank you!!!!
Yo props to that bartender. I tried it just how he made it no cap. An oooooof. Fuego as mojito baby. ✌✌✌
The mojito looks refreshing! I think i can make a keto friendly version.
Happy Birthday!!!
When I did mine. I couldn’t taste the rum. It tasted like sweet lime club soda
Can you please make a video on your patio herbs? I would love to have something like it in my balcony!
Hello mam!! Greetings from Australia! When I make mojitos I follow all the instructions perfectly but for some reason they always end up tasting quite strong…. is it because I use ice cubes and not crushed ice? Did I add too much ice? I’m not sure why, do you know why this is? Thanks:)
I made this myself, also tried with vodka and one with gin, you get a citrus gin and it’s amazing. But thank you for this recipe! Only way I make mojitos now, this man is a legend. Unfortunately where I live I have yet too see a bartender make one this way, so I can never order one at a bar now because this recipe blows them all outve the water lol
“Everything in life is better with a little spank…”
Fangirls’ Ovaries:
Mojitos are my favorite! 90% of the time that I order one the bar says they have no mint
Have a drink on me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42fht71KmqE
What flavor soda was used? Plain soda water? Or lemonade soda?
I have to admit, I was quite skeptical of not muddling and all that, but I bow to the master. What a refreshing mojito, especially on a hot Tennessee July day
Happy Birthday! I look forward to drinking one of these to help celebrate with you!
Happy birthday Lisa and thank you for the delish drink recipe.
good recipe but i prefer adding cane sugar instead of white sugar
Happy Birthday!! (gluten-free) Kidding, but enjoy you special day!!!
I’ve been growing mint for the purpose of making mojitos. It’s a hot day in quarantined South Florida, so today is the day.
I just had a mojito at Porto’s and you uploaded this video! HBD!!!!
Happy birthday Lisa! I just had a mojito tonight. The bartender mixed all of it with passion fruit. It was such a delicious variant of mojitos. A real must.
Dude, the Mojito is supposed to be composed by brown sugar & lime (muddled without the mint, who will be clapped and put inside after the crashed ice), mint, gold rum (a bar spoon), rum and lemon at the end.
Hi! In an earlier video you mentioned that you’ve been to Afghanistan? I am living in the Netherlands and my fiancee is from Afghanistan:) It would be fun to see some Afghan recipe on your channel, with your own twist! Also, any advice on cultural differences?;)
Happy Birthday in advance! I can’t drink but I’m excited for the cookie recipe
Did not expect any less from this channel than her to be a Virgo, come on! #squad
Now that’s how you make a cocktail at home without fancy equipments and measuring cups. This guy is a legend.
I just your recipe and it’s the best mojito I’ve ever had. Thanks!
Mojito supposed to use crushed ice
And why your Soda water is out of gas…..i am speechless….
it looks terrible
Happy birthday to you Lisa, have a wonderful week, nothing like a great mojito for that special occasion. Like the tip about bruising the mint gently…..think we all have one of those tales to tell about that little bit of mint wedged in between the teeth
Best mojito I ever had was at the outdoor bar at the ocean club on paradise island. The service, the setting and the view make it special.
I didnt i need it a mojito recipe until now! Thank you. And Happy Birthday!!
Don’t you suppose to shake it since it has lime juice in it???
I hope you tipped the bartender. Cuban people are very poor…
Never thought of using honey instead. Sure would love to know more about that mint
Happy Birthday
This is the 3rd mojito I made today for my wife at home, following different methods, and I have to say this is by far the tastiest. She loves it, cheers!
Happy (shared) birthday, Lisa! Mojitos are one of my favorite cocktails. I am looking forward to enjoying this on my birthday, which is also tomorrow. Cheers from Boston!!
LOVE mojitos! You should try mint and chocolate chip nice cream! Happy birthday!
Happy birthday!! Blessings to you as you begin another year of life. May it be filled with health, love and lots of laughter.
We live in the Florida Keys and LOVE our mojitos! I like the stainless straws but how difficult are they to clean?
Firstly, Happy Birthday to you in advce ❤❤
Secondly, u r the best
YOU NEVER MUDDLE THE MINT, You are suppose to add it after you have have muddled the lime wedges and BROWN sugar together, then add CRUSHED ice, Add White rum, pull up mint lime through ice with a bar spoon, then TOP with a DASH of Soda. If you middle mint it makes the drink extremely bitter!
Happy Birthday Lisa! Every time I think your channel can’t get any better…..MOJITO!!! I really loved your summer meal prep. Your channel is my absolute FAVORITE!!! You really do make being in the kitchen fun and exciting. Thank you.
♥️️. Marcie
Best mojito I had was that upstairs bar overlooking the old city in Havana. It was amazing
Nice video. On the other hand your Mojito will be bitter and of inferior quality if you Tear the mint. Instead massage the leafs
Only my favourite drink mojito
But now been 3 years live without any alcohol
I cant concentrate because he looks like he’s from a porn video
I honestly LOVE your videos. I’m going back to my student life in a few days and you give me so many ideas. Thank you!
Yep, now I MUST make a fresh mojito for relaxing after work today.:)
Mojitos are my favorite! This is my favorite video yet can’t wait to try out a lower sugar version.
The true imperfect mojito. Never seen crush meant with mudlle. M. G
oh mate, it has to be said that was one of the saddest mojitos I’ve seen.
God this is bad and i just started making Mojito’s
I love him, I wish quarantine ends soon so we can drink mojito all together
I tried it but when I squash the lime with mint the taste is terrible it’s too bitter to drink
i like to crush the mint a bit more than he does before i add the rest of the ingredients.
Is hé using crushed ice or cubes, it’s really hard to see? Did a reshake or stirr as you like and love it
So I’ve been basically doing it all wrong lol! Great video man! Thanks:) By the way, what is the big difference in taste without having the club soda? I will try it at home:)
Wtf I didn’t drink alcohol for almost 2 years, I am sober, why YouTube want me to watch this video about mojito……??
Please, what is the name of the bar in Cienfuego de Cuba? Thank you.
The was the worst mojito I’ve ever seen made and he has the guts to say at the end, “the perfect mojito” lmao
The Mojito recipe specifically says “Muddle mint leaves, 2 TS.sugar, and lime juice”. Which The Bartender in This Video Did Not Do
I read the mint chocolate chip cookies but I have a slight problem because of the eggs………so can you tell any substitute for the eggs
happy birthday week!!! Cheers! I use to make mine like this but tried something different last week that is now my favorite method! I did a simple syrup on the stove top and added the mint and lime during that process, I also added the rum. I didn’t burn off the alcohol or anything like that but it did create a smooth tasty base! I added club soda and bottled it in the fridge! yummm! I also love adding a splash of cacao liquor for a chocolate mojito version
Damn I feel like I would have to tip at least five dollars every time! LOL
Seventeen years working there, and I bet he gets paid the same due to communism.
Best mojito???? Don’t think so, only white rum?? Mix with white and a 7 year old dark rum, far smoother and rounded, to make the ultimate, replace the lime and water mix with just lime juice, then top up with champagne
Hi! I love your videos! I am cuban by the way. Just want to share some info here, maybe for the future! that for our traditional Mojito, we also add “Angostura” (I don’t like it) and Hiervabuena (8 leaves) new subscriber here.
Best recipe for a mojito, I need to up my ice crushing skills….
the bartender he don’t know how much rum he put in WTF with out a club soda just lime juice and rum and sugar wasting too long just for one drink that is not good
Actually mojitos dont actually us mint in the original recipe!
Always on the “lookout” for a great, light tasting drink!! I love this channel!!..it has restored my passion of creating wonderful tasting, healthy recipes that the whole family enjoys!!
At last a bartender who knows what he is doing and not touching the oce etc with his hands. Getting thirsty now
Steve, I have been a Mojito drinker for many years and have tried every incarnation but seemingly the simplest, yours. No more fancy techniques for this rumphile, I will be making my Mojito’s with this method from now on. Thanks to your instructions I now have my go to Mojito. Cheers and thank you again!
I think that I just want to keep watching these videos because of your accent
Happy Birthday!!!!
Have a heathy and happy life . You are nice person .
Congratulación!
And thank you for the Mojito
If there’s no sugar syprup how many spoons of sugar i need to put?
Am I the only one bothered by him interrupting the barman constantly?
At 1:52 he says he’s adding 1.5 oz of rum, then proceeds to put 2 oz of rum into the drink with both sides of the jigger. It’s pretty sloppy all around.
Gamechanger. Seriously the best mojito recipe ever. Been chasing this flavour for years. Cant believe its so simple. Mojito is my favourite cocktail but stopped buying as been served rubbish or barman’s “version”. The other let down is premix which you seem to get served on holiday. I couldn’t believe how pro this tasted. Happy
Hahahahahaha! I have 10yrs in Mixologybars/Resto/Bars and let me tell you. This is far from the best way.
Go inform yourself
Sir I like your recipes… Sir I have 2 requests please
1 is Sir plz share any majito recipe without rum.
2: sir plz make majito with fresh fruits we are waiting
I hope you will help me.
The best mojito in the world with no specific measure??? “At least 1oz” so if I put 2oz that’s ok, right? You remember me the lady who did a whiskey cocktail and she said “2oz of whiskey” and she added almost half a bottle Ahahah
Please come to Porto (Portugal) and I would do a proper mojito, “the best mojito in the world”. It’s on me
Cheers!!
Cool video, but doesn’t seem like the bar tender is very methodic, is he? … Maybe experience
I made this recipe and GAHDAMN it was delicious!! Here’s the recipe I used.
12 mint leaves
2 sugar cubes
Half a lime fully squeezed
Add these ingredients into a highball glass and then stir until the sugar cubes are thoroughly dissolved in the lime juice. By this time you should be getting a really nice scent of that mint coming off the glass.
Next fill the highball glass with 3/4 of crushed ice, then stir rapidly again with your bar spoon until the glass is super cold in your hands. Then add in the rum leaving an inch of space to the top and mix again the rum and contents with your bar spoon (5 swirls) and then top off with more crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and a lime.
You forgot to mix it from top to bottom.. Top of it is pure sparkling water and bottom is pure mix. Use the spoon up and down to get everything mixed and balanced! Good vid!
when a guy, who obviously never was in a decent bar, thinks he found the BEST drink and generalizes (“in america WE do it like…”) like the typical Americcan ^^ (even though that IS a very good Mojito except for one “tiny” thing)
The Barkeep is right to not tear the leaves apart (even though the comment about the flavour is not entirely correct), but there are different ways to achieve that.
What is 100% correct and what a LOT of Bartenders do all over the world do wrong is, that you should never put pieces of lime in the glass with the mint leaves and then press/turn/stomp them (worst case is to put the leaves on top of the lime pieces), but use pre-pressed limejuice (fresh limes and selfmade ofc). That he uses a mix of limejuice and water is really just a time saving feature and ofc you can add the water seperately (using a part or 100% spartkling water can take this drink to a different level btw not necessarily better but different)
What kind of sugar you use is more a question of personal taste and ofc you can use sirup (diy sugar sirup is really no big deal in any quantity) sugar is a sweetener and tasebinder and pretty much any kind and form of sugar can do that!
also there are so many different kind of mint plants out there, and is actually fun to play with the differences in taste there (try shoko mint its So different and yet delicious cause it bonds wonderfully with an older rum).
The rum is where most Mojitos suffer due to “cutting costs” thinking! The lowest standard here is a Havanne club 3 years (and yes, i dont consider this as a good rum), but stuff like a Ron Varadero for example really makes this drink shine.
So using Bacardi like in this video is a 100% NO-GO, because Bacardi is simply bad rum and, as i might add, very common on cuba to NOT get decent rum cause its simply too expensive.
What IS a taste thing is wether you use white or darker rum. The probably conevient way to achieve a very nice and classic taste is this: 4-6cl Havanna 3 years (on a 400ml glass) and then top the finished drink with a thin layer of 7 year old high alc% rum
And i AM aware of the fact, that Havvanna Club is owned by Bacardi (since 2000 something i think, but too lazy to check) and the overall Quality dropped due to mass production in giant metall tanks instead of real casks, where the woody aroma is achieved by throwing in peaces of wood, but it still tastes better then the regular bacardi nods
What a Great drink thank you keep make them. Please watch my video Mr. De-Are.
This is crazy I met and drank one from this man in 2019 ❤️
It’s all good until a group of tourists come through;
“We’ll take 12 Mo-gee-toes please”
I’m pretty sure the mojito are delicious. As an experienced bartender and working in New York City and wall street, I like to show my customers that everything I make the drink with is in front of me. Didn’t look professional for him to go get the ice in the back in that chest bin. And then we don’t know if he used an ice scoop. Have the ice in front of you and the customers,, and let them see you are using a scooper for the ice. Also cut a piece of fresh lime coating the top of the glass with, and let it hang on the rim of the glass, it will give a nice look.To me that will look very professional.
Just had this for my 21st birthday. Really great. Especially very cold!
1:53 I can totally see myself making this drink for someone and admiring their reaction while I break the ice

These are so good, I remember having 5 or 6 of these. I was fine until I got up.
Best mojito ?? Man this Americans makes best of everything.. I am bartender for 13 years and for this best mojito gonna wait 15 people cause of nonsense stirring mint…shout out for bartender who has time to Make it.. But in real life this does not work.
It’s funny, I’ve had Mojitos all over the world with all kinds of rums (Usually Bacardi), premium or otherwise and even made them at home, myself. However, I moved to Colombia and they sell Havana Club rum here. No joke, using Havana Club rum was a game changer. I never would have thought that a $15 bottle of rum would change things as much as it has. That first mojito with it was seriously the best mojito I’ve ever had. Well, and those I’ve made, since.
