My mum had a breast cancer surgery last year and, is trying to get back to normal life. This was the first workout we both tried together. Not sure why but when I completed this exercise with her, we both teared up a little. So, thank you. thank you very much.

Last week was my first week…worked on the one with Wade…could only get to 10 min., but I did it! Skipped one day because of my right hip. So today I found this one and like this one also! So far all Body Project videos have been fantastic ( I checked all out and they all look good). Today I got heart rate up to 103 and 2000 steps in 10 minutes. Am feeling good about myself just after a week.

As an unfit 62 year old with a very slightly wheezy lung it has taken me three days of trying to get through this gentle but thorough workout from start to finish in one go. So I have been doing this in two halves in morning and afternoon.However, today I achieved that small goal of completing the workout in one session. Such a little thing but such a glow of pride and a sign of improvement already. Thanks for these videos cant wait until Im fit enough to move on to the next session.

I’m 63, and aside from walking 1.5 miles per day, lead a rather sedentary life. Felt i needed something extra for muscle training and came across this. Been doing it daily for a month now and really notice a difference in endurance in simple daily household tasks. I look forward to my 20 minutes with Kozac every day. Will be traveling for a week, but have memorized the 9 separate exercises and can do them without video if need be. He’s so encouraging, though! May sound silly but I call it ‘Kozac is my Prozac!’ Keep up the wonderful videos! And thank you!

you are not a senior, and you don’t know much about seniors, otherwise you would have not shown such exercises for semi-handicapped people. leave the floor to some seniors, and maybe you’ll learn front-lever and muscle up from US.

Hi Joe thank you for doing these videos. I am 61, work in a retirement home (which is pretty physical) and need just this kind of work out to help build up the muscles that seem to be melting away as I age. I hope if I do these regularly enough I can have a good basis to add more weight bearing exercises as well. I do yoga regularly for the stretching and relaxation but I was missing cardio. Thank you.
I am a 78-year-old male, who started doing this routine for the last 2 weeks. On the first day, I perspired and was sore so badly that after the shower I took nap at 9:00AM (just after exercise). I almost wanted to quit several times. But I persisted. I am amazed by the improvement I have achieved already. Prior to exercises, my Left hip and knee were almost frozen and had neck pain. Actually, I asked my doctor to refer me to a rheumatologist, as I was sure I had arthritis. However, the doctor ordered an x-ray of the left side and he concluded that my problem was in muscles and not in my bones. So I needed to do exercised. This is how I stumbled on this site.
I cast the exercises from a tablet to a large living room television and do my exercises there. It is wonderful. My joints are getting better and I plan to do these exercises regularly.

This is exactly what I’m looking for! I’ve been out of comission for 4 months due to a bad back. Some success with physical therapy… but just can’t seem to get past 75% improvement. Not acceptable for this lifelong fitness enthusiast! I even met with a neurosurgeon last week who said, “Good news… you are NOT a candidate for surgery. Bad news… you have chronic back pain.” What do I do for that, doctor? “Just hang in there.” Hang in there? What does that mean? Thinking I am on my own to regain my health. This workout looks like a nice start. I will start this program asap! Thank you for posting!

Thank you so much for these workouts. I’m 38 years old and am prone to knee dislocation. I’ve partially dislocated about 5 or 6 times in the past 10 years. In October I completely dislocated my left knee. After 7 months of being told I need surgery to fix it, my new ortho says he wants me to keep working in strengthening. I am full weight bearing and can walk normally. I do not yet have full range of motion as open chain movement is still a huge struggle. I have gained so much weight in these 7 months and I HATE IT! I always thought chair workouts were for “old people” but, man, you got me WORKIN’! Thank you. I’m getting my cardio and the strengthening I need for my knee. Thank you.
Did this today not knowing if it would get my heart rate up, it did. Have been doing lots of ankle twisting zumba during lockdown and have seriously hurt my ankles. Thank you so much, once my ankles are repaired will go back to standing low impact. Thank you sir.
We are in isolation for Coronovirus and so no gym. Found this a brilliant substitute, really enjoy the workout. Definitely worth doing.

I’m 41 and not exercised in years! I have a job in a coffee shop where I’m on my feet all day, but being furloughed I’ve now been at home for over 3 weeks. I have hip dysplasia, have had one replaced and waiting on the other one now. I’ve noticed back ache while being off due to lack of activity. I decided to do this workout today. Not going to lie, I struggled a bit for last couple mins, but I did it!! I plan on doing it as regularly as possible. Thanks Joe

safety check fir squats. when starting to do this for the first time, perform this exercise with your back 6 inches from a wall or use a very heavy chair / couch until proper balance is achieved. please and thank you!

It took 5 weeks to recover from C19, but since then my husband and I have not missed a morning with Joe. Now five weeks on and we feel fitter and the muscles are much stronger than for some time. Since my gym closed, I have been working out with different programs, and really like Chairworkouts. I was supposed to have ankle surgery before the CV. I need to keep strong in order to recoup quickly after surgery. I am enjoying this. It’s like having my own personal trainer. Great!

Trying to get my fitness back, but at almost 66 with arthritis in my wrists, I have found it hard getting started. Hi Joe, I can’t believe what a difference you’ve made to my life. I’d always workout for over 30 years, I’m now 68 yrs old. About 7 years ago I had health problems that nearly consumed me. When lockdown started I saw loads of my younger friends when younger children, starting their day with you. Initially I viewed just to see what it was all about. OMG I’m so glad I did. Senior workouts with a smashing guy, who absolutely understood the restrictions our bodies put on us oldies. In 5 weeks I’ve gone from one 10minute workout to 3!!! a day.!!! I feel soooo different. My body strength is returning, my mood has lifted, I’m never stopping again.And I thank you. For your inspiration, your fun when it hurts and your encouragement when I did wonder if trying again would kill me!! ( only joking) You young man are performing wonders for our children and oldies alike. Not just in keeping us fit but being a really positive role model especially in these times of lockdown.Thank you x

I started this work out a couple months ago and alternate it with walking. I am seeing good results in flexabilty and weight loss. Once I can keep up with the coach I will try other of the HASfit programs. Read some previous comments about the sound and I don’t have a problem with it so it either got fixed or people need to check their internet service. Hang in ya’ll and we will all become seniors who and show up all the couch sitters.

I have just discovered this Work out for seniors which I am not able to do. I am only early 40s and have physical disabilities causing muscle pain and fatigue, I need to find some exercises and stretches to try during this time of lockdown, especially as I’m one of the 2 million that is being shielded. Can you or anyone help please? Thanks and keep up the great work.
I try to do the 10 min one after the full body for seniors but it can take me a good 10-15 minuets to get it to work y tube keeps posting me back to all the work outs

Thanks Joe! I’m not a senior I’m 26 but was too tired this morning to do your ultimate beginners workout which I’ve been doing. I’m also signed up to the 90 day plan which admittedly not started yet. I’m a key worker and work in an m&s simply foods but also have atopic eczema so I’m trying to build my ground and foundation with confidence and exercise again. But this helped this morning wake me up a bit even though I didn’t want to do one I just did it and felt better so thank you

82 and was like a rusty piece of farm machinery. Puffing and panting climbing up steps and all the rest. 2 weeks now on this programme. Such a change. If 2 weeks is good, 4 weeks must be better. Love the workouts and the training (name unknown to me) is a great inspirer. I love the trainer and the training. What a wonderful discovery!

I am such a couch potato. The thought of all that exercise just doesn’t entice me BUT WAIT now there’s Joe. I’m exercising! I’m enjoying it..sort of.. but I am reaping the benefits of it so now I am enthused and will keep going. Ten minutes won’t kill me but maybe no ten minutes might!!! Thank you Joe.

Hi Joe, My daughter told me to do these exercises. I had a stroke a few years ago which left me with some weakness down my right side and I also have a load of screws in my lumber spine due to a 30 year problem with back pain (I’m also on Fentanyl patches). I’m hoping that, by doing your 60s workout, I can strengthen my back and core muscles enough to get back to walking my (very lazy) greyhounds. Do I do the same set of exercises every day?

I am a 75 year old lady, 5’2″ weighing 170, goal 130, doing my best with the food, and I must say, I love your chair workouts, they are challenging for me a little. Chair is better for me because I have emphysema and get out of breath too fast standing, so thanks so much:) you are the best.

I have been working at home and not going out much. I hurt my back a few weeks back, so I have just started doing the senior workouts. Thank you so much, Joe, for getting me moving again!!!!
I’m a regular senior cross fitter, quarantined without much equipment. I found this to be a good workout, and the very first workout I have ever been able to scale up, haha! It was a great way to get my heart rate up and some good strength training in. As a side note, I recently moved and someohow only ended up with one barbell… so of course I had to substitute with a wine bottle ;-)!! Nicely explained, the music is loud enough to hear but not overly loud and you are an excellent motivator!

Can you do these exercises with hand weights every day? Or do you have to rest a day in between when using hand weights? So do these every other day?

I’ve had this on my try it list for about a month and kept putting it off because it was all seated. But WOW! this is a challenging work out-really great for a 10-minute challenge or warm up. I especially liked the ab work.

With some of the exercises, especially the lunges my knee and upper thigh hurt. Should I continue? I also get a lot of pain in that leg at night, in bed. Could it be from the exercises? Otherwise I really enjoy them. I am 74 years old.

We came across a session where you did a cardio with weights standing, you timed each session to have shirt rest in between. I’ve looked all over and I can’t find it. When it comes to eating healthy, you have to never fall victim to modern fad diet plans. Extreme diets are a danger for your health, especially ones that seriously limit your daily nutritionary intake. While they may induce fast weight loss, these kinds of diet plans are never a long-term answer for your weight problem. Morning Joe! I am an active person; rapidly heading towards my senior years. I walk everywhere, do line dancing and can often be found bopping around in my kitchen to either radio or CD. I am slim and active, but wouldn’t exactly call myself fit. I have never been one for ‘physical jerks’ but I find myself bored in lockdown. After hearing about your PE for kids; which my grandchildren do and love, I have just found your workouts for seniors. I feel really energised after this workout and really enjoyed myself. I hope to gradually work myself through them, may even have a go at your HIT workouts eventually. Thank you so much Joe

Oh my goodness, this was one of the best seated workouts I have ever done. I am working through a calf injury and tennis elbow. I am not elderly. I am in my forties, but this was great. It had my heart rate up and I loved it. I will be doing this workout twice a day everyday, until I am able to go back to TeamBodyProject other workouts. Thank you TeamBodyProject and Daniel! You are so motivating. The seniors in the back were amazing.

I’m 41 and have been doing this workout for the last few days because I just wanted something gentle. I was mixing up between 3 and 5 pound dumbbells and I truly love this workout. It’s nice and thorough and makes me feel good and strong. Thanks for the great workouts.

Hi, I’m not senior as I’m in my 40s. But, I have hypermobility syndrome and suffer a lot from bursitis and tendonitis in many joints with my shoulders and elbows particularly bad atm. How can I get them stronger without causing more damage? I am still fairly flexible but all strength has gone.

I felt I had to do something during this lockdown to counteract eating and sitting too much. I used to be a gym rat until arthritis took over. This is the best workout. I love your explanations and pace; not at all bogged down. I do find just starting out with this video that it helps me to walk around slowly for a minute before each new exercise is introduced as a way to acclimate my body to the routine. Thank you!
