If you don’t have much fitness equipment at home, it can be hard to work your arms, chest, shoulders, and back.But this upper-body bodyweight workout can help you challenge those muscles—no.Which means spending an entire workout focused on either the upper body or lower body {or 2-3 specific muscles in the upper/lower body}. This workout specifically focuses on the upper body; pairing 10 exercises into a superset workout to strengthen and tone your back, biceps, shoulders, chest and triceps. It’s great to see a back workout from you! There are not enough good quality back workouts on YouTube. I’m still recovering from a couple of bulging lumbar discs and an annular tear, so I had the resistance bands ready just in case I needed to modify but luckily my body seems to be tolerating bent over movement again. It is so true what you said about flexibility, myofascial release has been a godsend for me in that area. Thanks for another great workout! Screwed up my legs a bit running too hard, so I was looking for some kind of cardio routine that I could do while my legs recover. The jumping jacks are pretty much off limit since I live in a second-floor apartment. I can have a pretty soft landing, but I don’t think it would be quite soft enough.
Do you take any rest time between each set ( for example between the pull ups and the push ups)?

I had to lower my weights at some point even though my arms have gotten stronger they are still definitely my weakest area. But this was still so good and I felt grateful for the cardio breaks actually, even if they weren’t ‘easy’ by any means. My arms just needed it:P Thanks for the workout!

I walked 11 kilometers each day for three days this week, and it really helped me regain some of the positive energy I used to have. Week 2 day 3. Man this was a tough workout for me with the exception of the presses. I could do those with 18 lb but I think it’s because I do that with my girls every night that are two and three. But I’m loving it.

Hey funk are these style of workouts better than the standard ten exercise 60s work 15s rest cycles for martial artists and mma fighters?
why higher reps on some exercises as opposed to a 3-2-1 rep range high % of 1rm
Anyone have advice for where i can look for info for starting as a complete beginner with dumbbells? I’m on the third week of their new 4 week no equipment program but want to do others after. Currently my fitness level is alright, but i still lack a lot of upper body strength (i can only just about manage a regular push up from my knees). I’m really unsure what weights to start off with!

Didn’t do the cardio cause my legs were too sore, but instead, I did 3 rounds of weights where whatever weight I started with I had to stick with it but I tapped out in the 3rd round except the last. Workout complete 02.04.2017 5.53am.

Such a great workout! I used 4 kg dumbbells, did 50 high knees inbetween each exercise plus 150 high knees at the end. Total time 35 minutes. Torture level 10/10:)

Ciritical question here: aren’t the angles in your pressing motions in this video completely off? Especially in your overhead press your kinetic chain is completely off from the center of gravity…

Sometimes the ones you don’t expect a great deal from turn out to be the best.:) I’m on #FB30 and have been hitting that upper body quite intensively this week and man oh man, were my triceps giving up by the time I got to pullovers. Not a chance I could lift anything up above my head in the end but I take that as a job well done. ^_^

I have to say using your workouts, I had lots of gains. I took a break from the gym do to personal reasons but i’ve been doing a lot of metabolic training and also i use ab carver and resistance bands also apart of my metabolic training and still have amazing gains but will return to the gym. Thanks.

I’m surprised at how many calories this routine burns compared to how quick and non-sweaty it is.
If I don’t have any dumbbells at hand I usually use backpacks instead. I just fill these with as much weight as is needed for the exercise (bottles filled with water). Great workout!

Awesome back workout, Nicole! I loved it, and my back feels thoroughly torched now! . It’s amazing on those smaller movements how you don’t need a lot of weight to feel the muscles working and burning! Then I bumped up the weight for the strength moves. I liked the format of switching between endurance and strength circuits, very effective and fun!

I like this!! I could not put a weight on my lap for the dips, and it rolled off. HA! I am thankful my cat was not close by like he normally is. I think the intensity level should be a 4 though, but maybe you have a reason why it is 3. I used my max weight, I hope that is what I am supposed to do here. As you know, I’m a 35 yr old female but I’m not afraid of lifting. This is a nice workout, and the time and cardio make it better!! THANKS AGAIN!!
