Sim, I literally JUST gave a guy in the gym a tip about having the proper form using the cable pull downs and he tried to start arguing with me that I was incorrect. One extra tip to my fellow beginners when doing the bench press let the barbel touch your lower chest when you bring it down this helps engage the pecs more unlike when the barbel is touching your upper chest i’ve seen a lot of newbies like myself do that but when i tried out i couldn’t arch my back the movement didn’t feel natural and i felt more of my shoulders than my pecs which was quite uncomfortable

I was a near-280lb military gym rat and could bench 500 in the late 80s. Got married and became a lard ass. Did almost nothing for 20+ years. Divorced a year ago, have lost 60 pounds of fat and I’m benching 400 again…at 53. Old man strength, I guess.
Common mistake I see is that people mix priorities. They try to starve themselves AND gain muscle simultaneously. You can’t build a building without bricks and mortar, so you need to eat more protein, cut back on carbs (‘cut back’ doesnt mean ‘eliminate’) and get some sleep. Muscles don’t build during the workout. They build during the repair cycle. If you like to hang out or play video games all night and you’re getting only 4 or 5 hours of sleep,, you’re not giving your body the time to build. Finally, you’ve got to train to muscle failure. Read Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ‘Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. It’s an old book, but its got a lot of foundational principles.

I know you don’t count macros, but is there a max amount of carbs that you suggest per day if I’m trying to lose weight?? I bought the cook book, I count my cals, I do at least 20 min cardio each day, and I cant seem to lose any more weight. I’m stuck!

Ive gained 4-5kg and almost doubled my deadlifts, squat and militarypress.
40kg squat to 90kg

I swear how deep you can squat is to do with ur body structure, and how some people find it easier to go deeper due to their acc spine. Wasn’t it in one of those Jeff Nippard videos. Cuz I’ve always done parallel squats, and find it hard to go deeper even when i stretch out my hip muscles.

Even if he was taking steroids, do you really think that physique is easy to obtain? Are you fucking nuts?! That’s countless hours of busting ass in the gym and a crazy strict diet. I am a certified personal trainer and embarrassed to confess that I got fat during this bulking period. I am NOT a bodybuilder by any means, but was lean & fit with 12-13% body fat. I wanted to have bigger quads and worked on my legs 2-3 times per week (out of 4.5 times per week of total working out frequency) and during this period of 10 weeks (I do not what’s got into my head to be that stupid ), I ate too much and now 14.5% body fat. I may have gained some leg muscles (I do not see that much of a difference ), but I surely look worse now than before… .. Now, I have to be on a diet… Smh..

So I usually start my workouts by going very lightweight jus to warm up my muscles I’ll do 2 sets of 10 reps, when I go heavy I’ll do 3 to 4 sets of 6 to 8 reps depending on how heavy I’m going,then wen I’m trying to burn the muscle I’ll go lightweight again till I fail am I doing wrong someone please please correct me!! This is how I usually do every muscle group legs, chest arms, back, shoulders

Same shit different day and another person who thinks because certain workouts he does he has success with everybody else will. The best tip i ever had was to listen to nobody and figure out what works for your own body the best way, every single body is genetically different and responds differently, watching vids like this seeing his success until you try for months beleiving but yet dont have success, best thing to do is if trying these vids optimisticly and i mean that with no disresepect i wasted so much time in my life thinking what works for others will work for me why wouldnt it.

MDMA on the weekends caused me to lose almost 10lbs in 9months ten years ago. I was still working out and even making some occasional strength gains during that time, but staying up on stimulants every weekend wasn’t good for me physically: although it may have been something I needed emotionally/mentally.
Went gym for the first time, after gym, soreness and after soreness i got bigger biceps but cant straight my arm.

I’m 128 lbs male. How many grams of protein should I intake a day? I already drink Premier Protein shakes which contain 30 grams of protein. I was thinking about adding Whey Protein to my daily intake which has about 32 grams. All that would add up to 62 grams of protein plus whatever I get from meals. Too much or too little?
I cant grow without adding significantly more calories, I have tried and just spend months in maintenance.. I need to up it around 1200 -1700 cals but with that I gain fat, its not avoidable… I also dont belive the “mini cut” as it encourages a yoyo effect.. and for me I end up with poor results and may as well stay on maintenance.
I personally disagree with 3, by comparing myself I always have goals of who I want to beat in size and physique next, driving me to push harder than them to get beyond them faster than they can

I really love PictureFit…Iam going to the Gym since iam 16 (7years now) but for many years ive been doing things the wrong way…asking someone to help me was one of the most important things i did! During the last year ive seen more progress then the 6 years before….!!
My advice is create ur own routine..then if u think u cant do ur routine its okay have a rest..i do bodyweight exercise for 7 days and not even taking serious rest but when i do..i probably take 1 day..for me i do upperbody for 5 times a week and lower body for weekend..

Not really a beginner I’ve already put in hours and hours of weight training over the years, but not consistently enough to really make progress. I’ve always had a pace of running 5 or 6 days a week, but only doing weight training maybe 1 of those days and I have always wanted to take the weight training further. Already started taking suppliments in preparation for the training I just started. Need to stop taking months off and things would be easier. I started weight training/lifting again 5 days ago and it already feels like a majority of my muscles hate me, but a lot of soreness I know is a good sign. Just glad I have access to more than one gym now these outlets will be utilized.
Trash exercises: bench press, backsquats, barbell deadlift.
Natural exercises: floor press db, front squats, trapbar deadlift.
Many of fitness trainers that I’ve followed so far says that a bro split is somewhat more advantageous for muscle growth if you have been lifting for a long time. However, you say that training a body part twice is better; by that, are you referring to the push/pull leg? These fitness trainers have nice physique with the bro split, is that just from genetics like you said? Do you suggest I do a push/pull leg for muscle growth instead? I’m 5’’5 at 150lb with 14% bf. I’m 13 I do 50 sit ups and 30 push ups and 45 curling irons on each arm is this good enough or should I add this is of course without a break.I also play soccer for 1 hour every day which is what I count for leg warmup. It has been a week non-stop.

A surplus is, by definition, completely unnecessary. If the body dont get the energy it needs from food is will simply get that energy from your fat storage.
Of course you will build more muscle if you eat more, but you can still, without ant doubt whatsoever, build muscle if you’re in a deficit.
