The Institutes of Health has determined an adequate intake Magnesium.The tolerable upper intake level is the highest level of daily nutrient intake that is likely to pose no risk of adverse health effects in almost all individuals. A tolerable upper intake level for iodine has been set at 1100 μg (1.1 mg)/day (Gropper and Smith, 2015; Institute of Medicine 2001).
The UL (Tolerable Upper Intake Level) is the maximum amount of daily vitamins and minerals that you can safely take without risk of an overdose or serious side effects. For certain nutrients, the.opinions on tolerable upper intake levels of individual vitamins and minerals. This is the first review I have ever taken the time to write, but I believe in this product so much that I thought it was worth it. To say that using this has been life-changing for me would be a gross understatement. I have struggled with recurring bladder infections for years. I lost count long ago how many, but I have suffered at least 50, no exaggeration. I’ve seen specialists and undergone a litany of invasive procedures only to be told that “I’m just lucky” and there were no answers. I’ve been prescribed every antibiotic they have for UTI’s and built such a resistance that the usual Cipro and Septra do nothing except make it come back stronger, and I have to take stronger and longer doses of Nitrofurantoin, still with possibility of recurrence. Since doctors couldn’t offer me anything except more pharmaceuticals that could do more harm than good, I did my own research. I found lots of articles online about using D-Mannose supplements. I tried it a few years ago from a different company and it did nothing for me, so I gave it up. Once I again had another nasty bout more recently, I decided to give it another try and bought this product. This is singularly the only thing that has ever worked for me, and there are no side effects! It takes away any discomfort just as quickly as an antibiotic and actually cures it in a shorter period of time with no recurrence. The lack of side effects means I can take a few doses a day with lots of water at the first sign of infection without fear of harming myself. I think early detection is key, and at this point I’m very attuned to what’s happening with my body. I have already purchased a couple bottles as I have run out and I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. I can not recommend this product enough. As far as I’m concerned, these are miracle pills. They have truly changed my life. Thank you!!!

I had a UTI for the first time, went on antibiotics, and a month later got a UTI again. I started freaking out that I was going to be someone with chronic UTIs… I found out about D-Mannose and briefly took antibiotics to clear up the UTI, and now take D-Mannose every night before bed and then whenever I do any activities that could promote UTI, if you know what I mean 😉 It’s been three months and I haven’t gotten one again! Whenever I feel like one might be coming on I take a double dose and wait and hour for it to set in before drinking lots of water, and that seems to have worked. This is a great price for what you’re getting.

I found that half a teaspoon (2.5 ml) of iodized salt is sufficient to meet our daily needs. Is that correct? So far my research, if we have a well plant-based diet we can have fulfill most of our nutritional needs except vitamin B12, omega 3 & DHA, and vitamin D (when you are not able to have sun exposure ). Elliot you are great, white potatoes everyday, along w huge amounts of iced black tea and hot tea all day w tons of cinnamon, I quit, if I cheat (a cup of tea) I can feel the spikes on my tongue, oxalates are sneaky, thanks for your work. Also my friend w “gout” I made him binge watch you and Sally, he now believes it is ozalates, not uric acid, he was shocked at the foods he ate high in oxalates, he had been blaming meat.

Re interstitial cystitis as a possible nonsense disease, (I had the same opinion of fibromyalgia initially) when I was diagnosed with it, my then pain doctor (a DO) told me that he’d been taught that after end stage cancer, IC has the poorest quality-of-life. I tried the lidocaine infusions and discovered I was allergic to the drug. I also had bladder stones, sinus stones, tonsil stones and a world famous Wash DC hospital was convinced that I had an ovary 20 yrs post full hysterectomy. It was a calcium-ox growth the size of an oyster shell. I had it surgically removed. My bladder can hold 1.5 liters…I had my spinal cord detethered but sadly it didn’t help the neurogenic bladder.
I’ve yet to hear you list one thing from oxalates and thiamine deficiency that I have not been diagnosed with at some point.

Bromine also competes with iodine for absorption. They used to put iodine in flour, but now it is bromine…So someone who eats refines flour could even struggle more with deficiency, from my understanding
This video was not useful.. The requirement for iodine/iodide is way more than 150mcg…especiqllybif you’re a woman with large breasts.every single cell needs iodine or iodide or both.. Lugols and iodoral are the safest and most accurate dosage for vegans. Look into the iodine doctors who have specialized in this mineral and who are the real experts. i quit oxalates since 3 days, was eating many oats, dark chocolate, fruits, potatoes before.. iam suffering hard now… can anyone tell me if there is a connection between oxalates and depression? my depression got worse at the moment together with other symptoms(muscle pain). I do not know if it is currently because I eat a very smal amount of carbohydrates or oxalates dumping.
I suspect I have an iodine deficiency. I don’t use iodized salt and don’t eat very much seaweed snacks. I just started taking an iodine supplement yesterday. I ordered some dulse. I will eat a little of it everyday and if I forget, I could take the supplement on those days I guess??? Could this reverse hypothyroidism? I feel like iodine was the missing link in my health plan.

The thing is, dairy contains iodine due to a variety of reasons, one being pure supplementation in the cows diets (which then becomes, why filter a mineral through someone else’s body), another is iodine containing teat dips used to wash their udders (other germicides are sometimes used: chlorhexidine, quaternary ammonium, sodium hypochlorite, dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid, chlorine, nisin, hydrogen peroxide (which isn’t very effective), glycerol monolaurate, and fatty acid based products) which by the way are only 50 95% effective at controlling/minimizing mastitis caused by intramammary infections, so some germicides are better than others which is done by the way to keep somatic cell (white blood cell) counts in the legal limit, not because your or the cows health is of concern. But another is due to the cleaning products used, one being iodophors as mentioned in this video, sometimes “food grade” bleach is used or both, a bleach that kills bacteria but has no effect on our gut flora? sure bud.
How is nobody thinking, what else is left over from these cleaning solvents/disinfectants? the non active ingredients, the water-soluble detergents or surfactants or moisturizers or emulsifiers if it is fatty acid containing. And some of these active ingredients have a fairly long half life, would they have no effect?
Another question I have, if you intake less iodine, would you not excrete less? I mean we see this with pretty much everything, would it not work that way with iodine? Of course I’m just speculating, I wouldn’t rely on that. I personally supplement 150 mcg because I can’t handle seaweed, nori is nice but doesn’t contain too much.

Sally K Norton advises supplementing with calcium citrate, magnesium citrate, potassium citrate, it will ease the symptoms of dumping and rid the body of this toxin, apple cider vinegar is reputed to be helpful.
