The truth I sleep better then I did all my life since going vegan, even with many furbabies bothering me all night I wake up and fall right back asleep and before it took me hours to fall back to sleep
If you like Dr Greger you wont want to miss this!!!! Dr Greger’s AWESOME story and Hall of Fame recipient: https://youtu.be/-AZVPziricM
I hear ya, but I am still having pizza tomorrow! I am very healthy and eat organic all the time, but once in a great while, like tomorrow, I will enjoy every bite of the pizza! Spinach salad, Four bean salad, and ice tea also!
“if you eat the diet other Americans eat…. you’ll get the diseases other Americans get….”
Can you give me pointers on maintaining an active social life which does not include eating out at restaurants? all my friends are not plant based eaters. When we do go out, I feel I must be selfish and choose the places we eat. I want to maintain strong social connections. I feel this is very important for my quality of life.
Curious if this dr has ever treated anyone with SIBO and what would be recommended, thank you.
Insanity: My insurance company doesn’t cover a nutritionist.
Does potassium chloride irritate the vascular system in the same way as as sodium chloride?
I’m 2 minutes into this video and already can see that SOMEBODY NEEDS TO GET A TREADMILL ONSTAGE FOR MICHAEL GREGER!
Brilliant. These guys are underappreciated.
A barrier to diet and nutrition based health care is that our corporate ag techniques are growning plants lacking in most nutrients. Even organically grown food can have low nutrient value because plants cannot absorb soil nutrients if there is not a balance of fungi, aerobic bacteria, and predatory micro organisms like nematodes and protozoa. This balance forms the nutrient cycle absent in corporate ag. The nutrient cycle is destroyed by using fertilizers, fungicides, pesticides or any process tilling, for example that destroy the micro organisms. You dont believe me, then watch lectures by soil scientists Dr. Christine Jones, Dr. Elaine Ingham, and Dr. Walter Jehne.
Health care is not our model, our model is treatment for profit. Cornish saved those hospitalsinsurance companies $millions but those savings were not passed on as lower insurance rates just kept as profit.
Does he have a family practice? If not could he recommend someone in the area for parents and families? Thank you Chef AJ!
I miss the Loaded Mash Potatoes they used to have. But the cornbread is
Lol. Using the analogy that “we don’t have claws to catch prey” as a theory as to why we are not meant to eat much meat is ridiculous given the clear evidence that we currently have of our extensive past as hunters. Also, “fruit was available all throughout the year”?? In cold climates??? And lastly, you are referring to a smaller time frame in human evolution (i.e. after we had over hunted the larger animals) when you refer to humans only making a small kill a week and only having a small portion to share with the tribe. These are all ridiculous analogies and it seems to me that, although you say you’re not partial to any dietary philosophy, it appears that you are.
Raw Vegetables and whole fruits help you shit out fat. Yaaaa!
Dr. Fuhrman, I have been a plant based, no animal products or processed oils, no processed foods. I literally make all my own food for many years. I weigh 155 and exercise, I have never been able to get off the high blood pressure and arrhythmic medication. I have tried to go off them. Within two weeks my blood pressure shoots way back up, 180/ 130 and will stay there with headaches. Why does my body still respond this way? My cardiologist is no help! What’s the deal?
A new wave is coming as indicated by the meat industry now fighting the veggie burgers. Ignoring them doesn’t work any more. I saw a multi-tiered shelf section of meat substitutes in the supermarket yesterday. The big companies will sell more processed veggie burgers at meat prices if they can. Most of the ones I saw had the suspicious vegetable oils. Times have changed. I became aware of a plant based diet recently. As one over 70, I am stunned but happy to see a way to avoid some bad health at this point.
Excellent interview AJ! I want to hear more from Dr. Sabatino!
A little preachy…not sure at times if this is science or rhetoric…obviously, there is both but its hard to tell which is which sometimes when there is so much hyperbole mixed into the scientific information.
Still liked the talk, but he usually stick more to the facts and lays off the preaching/crusading more.
He speaks many “general” truths, a bit over the top. Throws out many concepts, but my issue with much he says, is, where is proof? Where are any studies and trials that back up what he says? There are many documented studies that are in contradiction to what he states. He throws out things as if they are fact which concerns me. The studies he does present are questionable. The nuts and seeds is inconclusive, unless the study only involves a diet of nuts and seeds vs a diet of no nuts and seeds. Otherwise way to many variables mixed in. People who eats alot of nuts, tend to be eating “healthier” any way, and are not generally carbaholics. He tends not to look at the whole picture.
Hey Corey and Sean how are you guys doing love watching your videos
Hey guys. New subscriber and Patreon here. Native Chicago now living in the West Burbs. You gotta go try the Famous Chicken Tenders at The Village Tavern in Schaumburg. Institution and these tenders are life changing. Not exaggerating or kidding. I’m in the restaurant biz my whole life and these dedos de pollos are unlike anything. Their finger sauce….done deal. While you’re there get the nachos too…
Keep up the great work!
Scott
I like Boston Market but there’s only one here in town and it’s just not an area I’m in very often. Probably for the best
eww cornbread. wtf are they talking about soup beans with ham cornbread and onion
Comment bitch we are always good!!! Love there Mac and cheese
your reaction vid is realistic. Others drone on an on ad nauseam i go here when im missing grannys house
This reminds me of the music video forever by drake, all the best rappers getting into a video. But here it’s with nutritionists
But what abt the ketogenic diet? Has a long list of diseases that it supposedly helps, including cancer.
There’s something sad about eating at Boston market. Also thanks for showing us that alligator getting it’s fucking arm ripped off.
Take a good look at them do they really look that healthy? What happened to Dr. McDougall they threw him to out to the wolves…he was on a low fat plant based diet…he has totally turned grey and lost his dam mind…Look up some of the newest interviews with Dr. McDougall you will think long and hard about the plant based bullshit diet….
Cory u a hipster with that long hair, luv it! ☮️ out ️
I’ve never had Boston Market haha growing up Dad said it was way to expensive! I loved Corey’s joke about Sean growing up rich but still acting like he’s from a trailer park had me rolling
Y’ALL DIDN’T TRY THE CORNBREAD?!?! A bite? A little nibble? Not even a lick?…. devastating. Lol. I live nowhere near a Boston Market so it really don’t matter. But I have to admit, I am curious about the CB. We are pretty serious about it, round here. Great video as always! Much Love #Sixer4Life
That meal is legit!!! Definitely a sleeper in the “fast food” game!!
Dude, the cornbread is the best part!! Slather with butter and drizzle w/ honey. Also, best sides are stuffing and sweet potato casserole. Mashed potatoes and macncheese are bush league.
You keep on outdoing yourself, AJ. This was one of the most enjoyable and informative interviews to date. Dr. Sabatino what a nice guy! Thank you for sharing this. I am going to be passing it along to many. Nancy and I are looking forward to seeing you on Sunday when you speak at Orange County VegFest.
Thankhz so much for sharing… I will pass it on… Wholeness n Love ((-;
Dr. Sabatino is a wealth of information. I appreciate his explanation of how sleep deprivation is connected to weight gain. He reinforces so much of what you teach Chef AJ. Thanks to you both!
I have been to Boston market a long time ago but in like 2007 I think one of the Boston markets went out of business it’s awesome you guys finally did a Boston market YouTube video review it brings back memory’s
I’ve been going through a rough couple weeks and haven’t been keeping up with videos like I should but don’t worry, I’m still here:)
Panda Express chow main with Beijing beef and sweet fire chicken. pleasssseee
My wife, son & I went to a WFPB diet two months ago due to Dr Michael Gregor’s ‘Nutrition Facts.org’ website and Forks Over Knives. I’ve tracked my blood lipids panel annually since 2006. With daily cardio(running), controlled weight140lbs, 47 years oldI could not get my LDL cholesterol below 98 mg/dl. Over the past two months on a WFPB diet, Total Chol121, HDL59, LDL44.8, Triglycerides86 (all mg/dl) It’s SO obvious this is the life for me & my family!
Now we know what happened to congress. They “forgot” that they are supposed to serve us.
Boston market closed here yrs ago. Used to be good. Better than most fast food.
I love how they say “recidivism” as if meat eaters are criminals… because… maybe they are.
Legit good eating. No Boston Market where I live. Used to be, food was good. Mac n cheese was so delicious
Panda Express chow main with Beijing beef and sweet fire chicken. pleasssseee
You have to be a savage and make a cornbread chicken sandwich and dip in the mash potatoes and gravy!
Wolf PAC is an American nonpartisan political action committee formed in 2011 with the goal of getting money out of politics. Dr. Campbell is right. Corporate money has bought our government and completely removed our voices in anything.
I was sad for the cornbread. Everything else looks great. I see you drinking that gravy Sean!!
this is the most helpful vid I heard in a very long time…thanks for the fortitude you encourage in me!..xox
READ HIS BOOK, ” EAT TO LIVE “. READ the readers digest article about ikaria, greece, and what they do to live so long WITH HEALTH.!!!!!
1:49:22 The dramatic results! So inspiring to see photos of people who have gotten well!
Dr. Sabatino is amazing! Thank you both for all your work! I hope to come to the center for Chef AJ’s birthday:)
They are missing a huge group in the recidivism discussion. I know so many young people in their 20s and 30s who tried veganism for sometimes several years…and then they eat meat again and swear they feel so much better. The refrain is ” it just wasn’t the correct diet for me”.. They then swear that the human body needs meat…as you will see repeated in comments section for all these plant based videos. You docs are seeing the people who hav already discovered that meat was not working the way they were so convinced that it did. It’s wonderful that they can find recuperation through plants..and then they can truly enjoy the rest of their lives..great. But you will not change much in the world until the younger future-makers believe it too. There are many reasons why people..who have no known health problems because they still have that healing energy from their still existing young growth hormones..would think meat is doing the body good…not necessarily is it because that it is truly making the body better off. But until that paradigm that the stillyoung have changes..no real change will happen.
Why have I never come across Dr Sabatino before. He is superb.
That chicken looked so flavorful, looked like a home cooked meal! Last time I ate there it was called Boston Chicken.
OMG, dude to the right looks like Greg Pitts, actor from Office Space! Let’s see the “O” face, LOL!
I have seen videos with a lot of these guys before, but what impresses here, is how excellent Dr. Ornish is when speaking off the cuff like this, much better than some other more planned videos I have seen him in. He really nails it here.
Need to locate my nearest BM… See what they have to offer. Thanks #6 for review.
I wanted you to try the cornbread. Alot of places dont have it. I haven’t been there in a long time & now thanks to you I will have what your having.
I work at boston market and I’m watching mukbangs on it after my shift but here’s some info on the Mac and cheese: it is made out of three different cheeses.
has boston market improved? i don’t think so… at least in my area ( Nebraska ) glad it was good for you guys.
Start a discord as well!
Looks like I’m getting some BM. I left this so you can decide what it means.
The meatloaf carver sandwhich and cornbread are my favs from boston market.
I shared this with my husband and he is like ‘I am watching that presentation of this Fuhrman you like…and not sure if I’m gonna eat my lunch to be honest.’ Me like What you have on your plate? ‘Well, fried rice with beef omg’ Spread the word!
Watching this video reminded me of a time I was in an elevator at a hospital. A young, slender woman got on the elevator holding two massive donuts, one in each hand. She saw me glance over and said The AHA is making a presentation here today, and this is what they served for refreshments. We laughed, but it wasn´t all that funny.
Wow! I love this video; it’s so informational that I’m studying it and writing while watching it for the third time. Thank you!
At first I thought Colin looked a little lost or senile but then he started talking and was clearly mistaken… His mind is 100% intact which is amazing given how old he is
These wonderful doctors themselves are compelling evidence that plantbased diet works, rocks and rules. I wish You wonderful people All the Best. God bless.
I guess that’s my favorite cause I have also been there once lol. Plus didn’t want to get yelled at haha
that cheese was trump colored hopefully it wasnt trump flavored
Great review again, always messes with my head because I know the areas you’re in so I feel oddly connected to the videos. Do you try to park away from people and then they just park obnoxiously close to you or do you just park wherever you can?
Asking because there was a woman parking and then peering into your window as you reviewed, it’s like, “nothing to see here lady go where you’re going”
Not only does he help us understand the effects of food, but helps us to understand what’s wrong with our society!
That looked legit! I wish I had a Boston Market near me! I need to find one soon! Have a great Wednesday guys!
I highly recommend. Loved the Balance For Life Conference last January.
Marianne Williamson is running on a healthcare plan that exemplifies exactly what these great dr.s are talking about: ” The WHOLE HEALTH PLAN expands the health care debate, tackling not only how to pay for health care but also how to provide greater opportunities for health.” https://www.marianne2020.com/issues/the-whole-health-plan
The nearest Boston Market to me is 61 miles from this WONDERFUL town I’m in!
Does anyone know anything about T Collin Campbell’s new book? I’m really interested in the history of nutrition! Oh my god, this really was an Epic QnA!!
Dr. Ornish is a class act. And thank you Professor Campbell.
Dr. Ornish has a lot to say important stuff, too. I just wish he would say a little less when he is supposed to be sharing a stage with others. He never misses an opportunity to toot his own experiences. By the time the moderator gets to Dr. Greger, there’s nothing left to say.
This doctor is amazing! I love how much information he has about the female body!
Regarding egg sensitivity: most people who are allergic to eggs are actually allergic to soy and wheat/gluten found in the eggs as byproduct of the chicken’s diet. Go for pastured eggs (unfortunately, they still get supplemented with soy/wheat, just less), but even better, grow your own chickens, where your chickens don’t eat any grain or soy. Give them lots of veggies, worms, cooked beans, potatoes, white quinoa (not red quinoa has similar grain proteins), even fish. But no grains/soy. In case of… chicken famine, organic corn might be ok once a week (not gmo though). You might see yourself being able to eat eggs again, without having to do AIP to empty the barrel.
Regarding dairy: have you tried either raw, or fermented goat dairy? If you get the Trader Joe’s yogurt, it has tapioca in it unfortunately. Find your own local, raw goat milk, and see if you can consume it as is, or make yogurt out of it. The milk closest to humans is camel milk. Whole Foods used to have some for $20 a bottle. I don’t think it was raw though.
“Handful of meat from my cargo shorts”.. er, think I have just gone Vegan…:p great video as always
I hate corn bread (grainy) and yet their CB is righteous. Its more like a corn cupcake
Oh my goodness! This was great! Thank you so much AJ for sharing! I will certainly have to share this with others.
Bout to go order me a pocket full of mashed taters after this looks delicious!
When work is devotion, God itself is the product. When money is devotion, work itself is the devil. Campbell is so unassuming that he looks like an old uncle sitting on a bench in a park with a forever young brain.
Nature humbles you to the ground, greed get you beneath it.
Good episode guys. Boston Market definitely underrated. Looked delicious.
an honest and excellent sum up of your daily life after following their advices enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIpvUz0LDa4
So.. 1) Lower Insulin, 2) Lower IGF1, 3) Eat at a Caloric Deficit.
This video actually just confirms to me why a ketogenic diet (2,000 calories, 80% fat & omega 3 of 177g, 15% protein of 75g, & 5% complex carbs of 25g) is actually good! Because 75g of unprocessed meat protein spread out over 2 3 meals isn’t enough to seriously affect IGF1. And 25g of complex carbs (starch) isn’t enough to seriously affect Insulin.
Plus being in Ketosis also regulates the appetite so one doesn’t over eat either.
G-BOMBS (with beans being Lupin & Soybeans) is actually very Ketogenic too!!
These low-fat morons aggressively pushing unnatural low-fat diet caused an explosion of heavily processed junk and the epidemic of obesity. Now they realized their mistake and instead of looking at the data and correcting, they doubled down. Now it’s not enough to eat the low-fat Mediterranean. Now you need to be low-fat vegan. Nobody eats like this, it’d disgusting, unnatural and wrong.
If you want to reverse alzheimers I would guess you need to get rid of mercury and glyphosate as well as doing a plant based diet.
“All about the benjamins… as the rappers would say”
-Dr Dean Ornish, 2019
great points Dr. Greger Mmde on meat industry to make vegan meat…. OMG… They do not have a clue… When you read the ingredients… Terrible. People don’t get caught up in the vegan
Aren’t supplements ( vitamin b12, etc ) like processed, refined foods?
Why is dr. Greger so internally nervous? Constantly shaking his leg, like he’s late for a flight…
Nice interview Jay…..I’m looking forward to reading Dr. Stephen Cabral book.
עוד אידיוט שימושי עוד אידיוט 0מXלן ו עם ספר. חה חהחה לא יאומן!!!
I find that the first hurdle to get over when convincing regular people is they don’t believe tastes are acclimated and can change. People do not believe we can be fully satiated by healthy foods eventually, after a switchover period. However, I find key is to never eat any of the processed foods designed to be addictive.
Won’t eat the cornbread (it’s actually not bad) because of the carbs, then proceeds to order mashed potatoes and mac and cheese as sides. LOL.
I can’t make out whether T. Colin Campbell said “Nutrition And Justice For All”, or “Nutrition Injustice For All”, but either title would be great (& clever)!
I love Dr. Fuhrman, and although not vegan, I do not eat much meat, and never a drop of dairy intolerant. However, I looked up dairy, breast cancer and NIH and the first study that came on on google was https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4705082/
which summed it up as saying breast cancer was less in Asian women who drank dairy. Can anyone point me in the right direction to back up his dairy and breast cancer link? Thanks!!
Dr Ornish said he spoke earlier at this conference but I can’t find it?
I love roasted chicken. That meal looked awesome. What’s wrong with the corn bread? I ❤️corn bread.
First five minutes suck. Will give you another two before I give you a negative and leave.
I get so much grief for only feeding my child plantsshe doesn’t know any different and is thriving while the people with issues with how she eats are overweight and on a handful of pills.
His appearance and how well he talk say it all. Many people by the time they are close to 70 are in an assisted living facility and can’t have a conversation any longer. Go healthy vegans.
No kidden, I’m teaching my 9 yrs old daughter python programming. I also unicycle and juggle pins and balls. raising 4 kids on the sad diet. They know how I eat and fed my daughters a whole wheat wrap hummus and spinach. They both loved it.
Really appreciate this, thanks!
BTW, Dr. Lisle may have the “Alan Alda” look but Dr. Sabatino has the voice!
Boston Market has some darn good comfort food! Loved the ending!! lol Keep killing it guys! GREAT VIDEO! Also, praying the BIG TEN has a better week this week!
I thought I was the only to drink the gravy like that ha ha Sean nice.
The godfathers of health for our generation. The first question was beautifully asked. Thank you for sharing this fantastic and inspiring Q & A panel sharing.
Plant based is awesome! You cant give this lecture without adressing vacxx, #1 killer of babies!!!!and are forced!!
Why don’t even the best doctors ( Fuhrman, Esselstyn ) have beards which are healthier and avoid the micro abrasions to the skin?
Panda Express chow main with Beijing beef and sweet fire chicken. pleasssseee
I worked in boston market in long beach ca in 2001. N i was a backup cook. All the sides comes in plastic bags n u place them in slotted rails in boiling water. Well its 2019 so its probably changed. The meatloaf n chicken n turkey are cooked fresh. The my favorite is the meatloaf carver n turkey carver. With extra creamy ceasar dressing!!
How are there so many empty seats?!?! These guys are legends!!!
Salt! My arch nemesis, so hard to get past that addiction!!!
No gum and here I am super sleep deprived, but I need this info. It’s all so true, and I gotta do more work.
Eat grass fed and finished meat and stay away from veggies and fruit with the exception of one slice of orange everyday. Plant based diets are a sure way to a heart attack.
Everything’s gucci and calm until Michael Gregor starts enthusiastically yelling about nutrition……which means it Gucci and awesome
Dr Gregor referred to a website to check on benefits for treatment of endometriosis. Just after the 48 minute mark. Nutrition something.org. I replayed it several times but could not make out what he was saying. Can anyone help???
Boston Market rules. They are all franchises. We used to have some in Seattle before the owner skipped out on his bills. I fucking miss that place
im just seeing this video a day after turning 60 years young, Ive been plant based for 2 yrs now. after a slip and fall on my job. when I went to the emergency room a cat scan was done but, they never mention I had a stoke. I found out a week later and cried like a baby.it was then my life completely changed. My sugar levels were at 9.3 my stress levels were 10 times worst. every Doctor I spoke to said my body was waiting to go into the BIG ONE the BIG STROKE. it was just a matter of time they said. I was so confused but I continued to eat totally plant based. My levels dropped 2 weeks later to 8.3(a1c) then 2 weeks again, down to 7.3 and by that time I lost about 15 pounds and my a1c was at 6.5. I could go on but just maybe some1 needs to hear this, had it not been for me watching these incredible Doctors, that I so believe and love, I don’t believe my life would be this wonderful. Thank You to all these Doctors who continuously fight for me and thousands of others. thank you for all the work that you do and have done. I love you all. BLESSING. by the way the picture is really me at 60 yrs young. lol
When I worked there I used to created my own toasted sandwiches. There were even sometimes I would make one a customer requested. Just imagine a thanksgiving leftover sandwich with: chicken, stuffing, gravy, mashed and cheese. Always my go to hahah
I don’t have a Boston market anywhere near where I’m from I just recently am getting in to eating meat I was a pescatarian since I was 8 till a couple months ago
Could the reason why eating animals is bad for us be because of the stressful life that they are forced to live causing cortisol to be released into the animals body ( that people consume ) kinda like a low dose poison. ( I’m not a scientist in any way shape or form just curious ) I’ve always heard how bad too much cortisol is for us. I’m sure the act of being slaughtered can cause a spike in cortisol no matter how ” freerange the animal was “.
I love Dr Campbell especially and the others are amazing as well!
This was the boost I needed to get me over the Jewish Holiday Hurdle. I cam eat wonderful plant starches…potatoes, squash, rice quinoa over greens beets with a dash of top grade balsamic and I have not lost my sobriety. Thank you
The candied yams with marshmallows will blow your head out of your skull.
Absolutely wonderful to see this presentation! Dr Campbell, thank you! I saw your video with Dr Esseistyn on reversing atherosclerosis back in December of 2018 when my diabetes was getting really out of control and started on a whole food plant based diet. I now have lost 100 lbs and have been off meds since March. I’m so grateful to you both. For anyone reading, it works!
My mom used to take me and all my friends there after baseball games on Saturdays when I was a little kid. Wasn’t bad. Don’t know why I’ve never been back lol
Major problem is Americans don’t know how to cook and don’t have the time..And they were raised on processed food or a mother who was a horrible cook.
I can relate much better to Dr Sabatino than Dr Lyle. Awesome information!
Someone replied to my comment about a whole food plant based diet as advocated by the above. They also advocate no oils or sugar since they are not whole foods but highly refined. On oils see videos by Dr Caldwell Esselstyn who was a cardiac Surgeon and is featured in the Netflix documentary Forks Over Knives. For avoiding salt sugar and fat see videos by Dr Michael Klaper. For food and cancer see T Colin Campbell. Also 100 s of videos with Greger on nutrition facts.org. Get Ornish’s latest book Undo It or see his video same title.
Greger made very good point about the industry trying to break into vegan foods, meats, ect.. ONE POINt tat has to go with that we what are using as the ingredients.. Take FatBUrger fast food here in Southern Calif…..they started to offer a vegan burger… OMG. I asked waht is is made with… clerks did not know. Clerk found the ingredients on line and low and behould it is not healthy. NOW folks you have to ensure what you are buying to eat is really made of
He mentions walking for 15 minutes after eating. I can do that. He says it lowers blood sugar for the next 24 hours.
Chia seeds and flax seeds will raise iron levels. I couldn’t donate blood until I did this.
Much like alcohol, it’s best not to have it around. Switch from coffee to tea and then stop sweetening your green tea.
I lost 4 pounds over the last few days.
I’ve been eating brown rice and butter. And salad and nuts.
I am starting to feel better.
As for movie popcorn, I don’t remember the last time I ate that crap without a horrific headache. It killed a bunch of Mexican workers who all died of a bizarre and very rare pulmonary problem.
I saw what he’s talking about food addicts who couldn’t sit through a lecture without eating! LOTS of very obese people in drug addiction! HTF are they going to help addicts when THEY ARE addicted?
Obesity is the only addiction you wear.
Boston Market is definietly under rated. What killed them was their IPO. They did too much too fast and never recovered. Their creamy spinach is also bomb!
What a gold mine of information I only pray that people would take it to heart and apply it to there life
26:05 Greger the ultimate comedian. Fist bomb follows…:))))
Well, Please see Dr. William Li another incredible human with the latest up to date studies and Jason Fang what about him? Please inflammation in kidney and heart is the big one really gig thing and my question is hot Sause cause infiltration?????

Ok so just found out about this from a friend so i hear that you say that high protein is not going to help and that keto is not the answer which well everyone says things to get into the pockets of people and i heard that that testing Is REALLY expensive to find out all your genetic makeup!!! So what do you tell people that have a gastric-sleeve and the doctor told them to intake more protein??? What will replace the protein and what will maintainability our muscles and not let them waste away???
After reading The China Study a Whole food plant based diet cured Lupus for me, lowered my cholesterol to a normal range, cured an untreatable condition on my shins called necrobiotic lopidica and I dropped 30lbs. I went from struggling to tie my shoes to running. That was 4 years ago. Then I began eating vegan junk food and the weight came back but I remain disease free and I can still run up and down stairs. I just started back on whole food plant based and I’m looking forward to the results. This time I will stick to it.
The men on this panel are life savers as far as I’m concerned. I will never go back to the standard American diet.
I remember when Boston Market was Boston Chicken and just around Mass. Have not been there in about 20 years, thinking need to rectify that. I remember their cornbread being great.
Happy to have Michael’s beard back after being expunged by the marketing people.
8:50 Dr. Bredesen claims to have already reversed Alzheimer’s with a Keto diet. Why isn’t anyone trying to replicate that?
Dr. T. Colin Campbell is the man! Dr. Mike Greger is great also.
My rule for sweets and cake and stuff like that is, if on the same day I run like 10k or more (the more the better) it’s fine. Run it off immediately
Boston Market rules!! Used to be called Boston Chicken when we first got them in Chicago. Then they started serving other foods like meatloaf and the name became Boston Market.
I ate candy as a kid but I haven’t committed crime yet. Damn I gotta go rob a mutha
Dr Michael Greger should definitinely read about a “Resource Based Economy” from “The Venus Project”. I think he is spot on about this system rewarding bad behaviour.
Wow… one of the best videos I’ve seen in months! and I’m glad I heard it today. I’ve shared it on Facebook and to friends I would hope, it could save their Life for better health.
i understand his promotion of desiring a slower metabolic rate in relation to the anti-aging effects, but having a slow metabolism? isn’t that a result from chronic starvation? and is NOT desired? and is a result from metabolic damage? is that even real? this is a genuine question. I’m just wanting to learn:)

FYI, the ketogenic diet is just one step away from carnivore. Use your brain. Truth and logic matter. Unless the human body has evolved in the past 200 years, Beaumont’s hundreds of experiments should still apply. Vegan bubble. Soy voices. haha

Foods don’t cause cancer. If foods cause cancer how do you explain babies having cancer?
Furman offers a lot of good info, BUT he also recommends you take DHA supplements which he happens to sell. There’s very weak evidence showing anyone needs DHA supplementation and recent studies show the supplements can cause harm in some. See vegsource YouTube channel.
Just give me what Ornish eats. Look at his freakin skin and complex. He looks so young. Even Campbell.
bring up how vaccines cause autism, but no he reverts to food. Food may be a factor in autism, but the root cause of autism is vaccines!
That’s why I love you guys. Prostate cancer took my dad’s life. When he got it and I saw his suffering. He died with dementia. So sad. I tried to get him to switch to plant based but it was way to late. The dementia took away his senses. Again thank you so much for doing this so long
I think Brenda Davis has it right, when she talks about becoming a shinning example, for plant-based eating.
Fast food prices have gone way up,but this is like a homecooked meal. I have a restaurant across the street from me,and I can get a full meal,WITH soup and salad for 10.99. That makes two meals for me,they give you alot,so it’s like 6.50 since I divide it in 2 servings.BOSTON MARKET IS REALLY GOOD THOUGH, BUT THERE NOT CLOSE BY TO ME.ENJOY
Has Dr. Campbell released the new book yet “Nutrition and Justice for All”????
Thank you, Chef AJ! It is through your wonderful 2019 Real Truth About Weight Loss program I first heard of Dr. S. I am also a member of Feel Fabulous 40 program and am grateful for the amazing interviews. I am here at Balance For Life, water fasting with Dr. Sabatino and it is quite a journey. I am here for health reasons and it is a relief and reassuring to work with someone who is 100% WFPB, as am I. He is brilliant and compassionate. His daily lectures are packed with many take aways. He checks in with you twice a day to check vitals and chat about how you’re feeling and gives you even more take aways. The setting is conducive to healing. I am looking forward to quality of the food upon referring! Thank you, Chef AJ and Dr. Frank Sabatino, for enhancing the quality of my life.
When I lived in Chicago, I used to LOVE Boston Market!!!! The mac and cheese is straight up crack!
So what’s the alternative! If AMERICA IS KILLING EVERYONE???
My family in Seattle was eating at local Boston Markets (called Boston Chicken at the time) long before the first one opened in Boston! Newton was the only store in MA. Since when is Boston famous for chicken? Seafood and turkey yes, but chicken?
I have followed the work of Drs Campbell, Ornish, and Greger. I owe my life to their research in nutrition. When experts in nutrition, however, start giving their opinions on law…specifically, the impact of the Citizens United case…they lose credibility. Sorry to say it, but when it comes to law, they do not know what they are talking about…period. As a lawyer, I suggest that they stick to their knitting and inspire people to adopt diet and lifestyle changes. Money in politics predates anything touched upon by the concepts sustained in the Citizens United case. Rather than argue to reverse that decision, they should use the concepts sustained in that case to forward their own message. Once they drift into areas beyond their competence, I turn them off.
i love that. he is giving us super powers. i lost my mom and grandmother because they were misseducated about “food”. and i have diabetes. Dr. Fuhrman is truly giving me something so that i can live.
and he wants nothing for doing it.
I live in Austin and there is a Boston Market just thee exits from my apartment and I’ve never eaten there. Am I a loser or what?
Do you guys agree with a predominantly plant based diet, with a small amount of animal protein to meet protein requirements?
I only watch your food reviews now. That’s saying a lot. Keep up the good work. You might have to showcase the occasional gratuitous boobs and baddies in the thumbnails for more views but it will translate into more subscribers. lol
Whoa!!! Power packed presentation!! Fantastic!!! Especially Dean Ornish who has such great insight into the social aspect of a healthy lifestyle. I’m so glad he was able to get Medicare to pay for his program. Of course Collin Campbell has done such great work with the China Study. And of course Michael Greger breaking down all the nutritional studies for us. Thank you for posting this.
I disagree somewhat here. In the United States, Black people (dark skinned in general) have a higher cancer rate due to the color of their skin. Sun light isn’t as easy to get here, Lighter skinned peoples have a far easier time getting the needed Vitamin D from the sun light, Black people have a far more difficult time. (this is the only real racial difference I know as far as disease is related).
eggs? Are you stupid? Eggs contain everything for a baby chick to develop..
processed meat by fast food is a CLass I carcinogen

Adventist lifestyle change

Brown rice and deranged elderly vegans who allegedly lack some nutrient from brain shrinkage. A rambling harangue of chickensht. Alittle olive oil to help cook your 96% healthy diet will in fact be THE DOWNFALL OF VEGAN PROGRESS, no less. And dont even get me started on,gasp, PASTA. Finger-wagging vegan pundit busybody bullsht…..!
On the question of adherence and recidivism, I want to encourage people to take this lifestyle change in slow steps for long term success. I actually wasn’t convinced of the evident benefits of a plant-based diet for many years after I had already been studying to take my health into my own hands, and taking measures in steps. I think the progression of slowly coming off of one food addiction after another over about a decade made it easy for me to finally transition away from animal foods, because by that time I had already grown so much in self discipline. So maybe just start by making a promise to yourself today to never eat fast food again, and let that be step 1. Then maybe step 2, when you’re ready, can be to cut out soda pop and any drink with added sugar and high caffeine. Then maybe for step 3, take out all sweets or focus on removing specific toxins like MSG and aspartame, or the nitrites and nitrates, or hydrogenated oils. Then maybe step 4 is committing to buying as many organic foods as you can and practicing saying no to those that aren’t. Maybe step 5 is committing to drink pure water from a quality filtration system, such as Berkey, so you aren’t consuming fluoride and chlorine, and God knows what else. Etc., etc. You probably won’t notice much benefit from going to an all plant-based diet anyway if you haven’t already cleaned up those serious issues.
I’m a little confused about drinking distilled and RO water if acidic water is not good for the body. The RO process ends up lowering the PH of water, and a similar effect is seen with distilled water which tends to be acidic. Removing the minerals in water makes water react with atmospheric co2, resulting in a drop in the pH. If a neutral to slightly alkaline water is preferred for fasting, wouldn’t water with it’s natural mineral conten,t such as spring water, be a better choice?
no boston market here. but that looked awesome. and i will also have a 1000 slices of bacon please.
So clear and so much information. I will be checking out the class. Wish I could go to Florida.
What book is it Dr. Campbell referenced siad got forgotten? Would love to read.
Winston Churchill stated if you find yourself walking through helll then keep walking. Good job keeping up the battle for the truth.
Did Cheryl Lapensee die of her cancer coming out of remission? So sad.
My grandfather had a heat attack and subsequently foundout he also had severe diabetes when he was in his mid-50s back in the mid-1980s. He was an old country farm boy without even a highschool education and had lived his whole life eating tons of meat and dairy (lived on a dairy farm growing up!) and sugar. When he had his heart attack, he had a hard-nosed surgeon who knew his stuff and told him if you don’t cut this fat out of your diet, cut the sugar out, and add walkin to your life, you are not going to live more than another year or two. My grandfather completely changed his life, cut the added fats completely out (they werent recommending plant based then but the only meat he ended up eataing waas a bit of chicken breast and white fish and egg whites becaause it was the only thing low-fat enough he could eat and he gave up dairy more or less) and he lived another 30 years and never had dimentia right up until the day he died. He kept to that diet because,,as these doctors point out, his doctor didn’t give him a choice. He told him straight up you change or you’re going to die. I think if more docs took that approach thered be more people willing to change.
Thank you Dr. Greger, I have Syringomyelia and degenerative disks and Spondolosis. I live with Cronic pain everyday.
Joel Fuhrman’s knowledge and information on this topic is amazing.
