How to stay hydrated: just fucking drink water, and don’t over drink
So, it measures water? What about electrolyte levels? You can load up on clean water (even distilled water!) and do nothing for the electrolyte levels in your body. A water-logged athlete can still drop on the field because their body’s electrical systems just aren’t firing.
No offense, you look way to emaciated to be considered healthy. I understand you may have cleared some health issues, I have been there. You are not healthy you just took something out of your diet. I hope you are not vegan.

“by the time you realize you need to drink more water it may be too late.” Not at all. Humans developed this feeling of thirst for this exact reason. All you need to do is drink when you’re thirsty. Not a hard concept to master. people have been doing it that way for tens of thousands of years and survived just fine. and NO, NOTHING can replace H2O in terms of hydration or benefit. Again, its been done for thousands of years and only recetly have we started questioning this, for no reason in particular. Water works just fine.

For some reason, when I did legs&soulders workout, I used to leave shoulders for the end, but I would always get dizzy and feel this “6-seconds-of-complete-darkness”… So..yeah, I would either not get hydrated a lot, or eat right..

Incorrect. Drink when thirsty. Humans used to drink water relatively high in minerals, electrolytes etc.
Todays tap water is stripped of these important minerals, so forcing yourself to drink water further dilutes the electrolytes in your body.

I have a liter of plain water first in the morning followed by 1/2 a liter of my concoction of lemon, turmeric, cayenne, black pepper, and apple cider vinegar water. Then I have anywhere from 40 to 60 plus ounces of water throughout the day.
Sweet thank you!! Cause whenever I finish a work out right after I drank water and I looked in the Mirror and felt bloated and felt like nothing was accomplished good to know I just need to wait 30 min before so that way I don’t feel or look bloated, thank you!

Always save at Walmart has a water enhancer like mio. I believe it’s zero calories zero sugar you can get it flavored with electrolytes. You just want to sip it cuz it’s seems kind of strong

My first nutrition professor always said a 7% solution of Gatorade in water was just about perfect during exercise. Basically you buy a Gatorade and pour a small amount into a mostly full water bottle.
I think sports drinks is just marketing and profit. If I have too much salt, my running gear is white, so why take on more salt if my body is trying to get rid of it. I found the book “Waterlogged” by Tim Noakes very interesting…. just drink to thirst. And the odd beer of course.
I would love to watch your videos but the intros are just so annoying and unnescessary that I usually just don’t even click on the video knowing that I have to see it as well as unnescessary small talk through the video. I just want the info, that’s it.

Nice video. Alcohol free beer is a great isotonic after workout drink. The German winter Olympic team used to drink it regularly and some gyms also stock it. Low sugar and calories also! Nothing better than a post workout cold beer (alcohol free)
I think too many people think they are nutritionists or doctors and sometimes aren’t helping themselves self-diagnosing themselves or going with whatever is the power food/drink.
What’s best is dependent upon your own body. I know my own body as I’ve had so many blood tests in my life it’s best for me to only have water.

Make your own electrolyte drink. Less expensive and better for you. 64oz filtered water, 1/4 tsp Epson salt(magnesium), 1/2 tsp Celtic Sea salt (sodium), and LoSalt(potassium, sodium, magnesium), flavor to taste with lemon juice. It’s refreshingly salty, but tastes great when you need it. You can also add a sweetener if you like, or Mio vitamin water drink flavor.
Sugar also makes u 1. Thirstier, u keep drinking the garoaid, who makes money from that? Lol and 2. Retain fluid, not good for those with edema. At least salt is an electrolyte that won’t rot ur teath

Does my large black iced coffee from Dunkin count as I exercise? It helps give me energy, and helps with pain. Without morning coffee I could hulk smash people while working out without intending to.

Sport drinks are rubbish! Honestly 1 Litre of pure water with a half teaspoon of hamilayan salt would do you more good than the crap that goes into any sports drink. I like coconut water, cucumber and celery juice too

Ummm nurse here. We don’t give IV hydration blindly. Dr orders a CMP blood test to truly tell if you’re dehydrated. It’s completely accurate.

So timely. It was hot, and I overdid. It’s humid here, so perspiration happens, but doesn’t really cool. Am recovering with bone broth and added minerals (including sodium) and lots of water.
