This is supposed to be a review of popular workout apps but doesn’t have bodbot or freeletics. Freeletics has +10M downloads just like Nike and is entirely designed to not require equipment. I’ve never even heard of the Adidas app or adaptiv.

Good video. With NTC you can also create a weekly workout plan (depending of what category you choose, like building muscle, strength, loss fat, etc.). You set some simple information, as workouts per week, equipment, intensity of training, and add running as option. The app will automatically create a custom plan for each week, and you can move the days around if you need to, can’t do one an specific day or just feel tired. You just log in to your plan, select the workout specify for that day, and hit start routine. That’s all. You checked your progress and at the end you give an intensity numerical rate for the overall workout (easy as 0, moderate, as 5, and very hard as 7 or more, as an example). Very easy to use, and the custom plan helps a lot, so you don’t have to think to hard what to do next day. It’s a very well balanced plan.

Worth noting that Up doesn’t seem to have Google Fit integration (that I can find) which most good fitness apps on Android have. So my diet, sleep, exercise apps can share data.

1) Thanks for this video! I was serious looking for something like this before landing on my choice a couple months ago.
2) It’s Aaptiv, not Adaptiv… and there are 50% off coupons that are widely example. Locked starter classes are definitely annoying but their strong point is by far the indoor treadmill and biking. I got very, very confused with Strength Training and Yoga classes given that it’s audio only, but this is my go-to if I were focusing on cardio classes.
3) Nike+ Training Club is seriously a rockstar in my book. I wouldn’t say they’re for strictly beginners (some are tough!) but they have a lot of customizations. Now’s the best time to try out their premium tier, which is great!
4) Peloton was not for me as I really don’t love the live workout vibe, but others love it!
5) I ended up using Fitbod as my main which has AI-generated recommendations and they track how sore my muscle groups are, with Nike+ Training Club to do Yoga sessions on the weekends.

If you ask me, it’s really hard to gain muscle and lose weight at the same time, but website called NextLevelDiet is great for that. They also calculate your BMI and calorie intake for FREE and provide you with diet meal plan and training plan.

Argus is the only one I’ve seen that can do all these and you can log other sports as well… it can also give you your bpm using your phone camera (looks at blood flow from memory) if you don’t have a wearable tech like me.
Only down side is if you want a large database of food, MyFitnessPal definitely takes the cake… but if you’re someone like me who is content eating the same thing everyday, you can setup the recipe. I believe it was Azumio that developed the food photo recognition (on a separate app back then, before Argus was developed, which is now integrated to Argus) because from memory MyFitnessPal didn’t have this years ago

I think I’m going to try that Calm app. I have the eating under control for the most part but I suffer from insomnia. Example, it’s 4:35am CST as I leave this comment and I haven’t been asleep yet!! I really think sleep is having a negative impact on my fitness journey

I really like how long and thorough your videos are. I enjoy them so much I sit with my notebook and take notes. Definitely alot of good info in this one. I really like how the keep apps teach the correct form. I also may give myfintness pal another try after your videos. I found it tedious and hard to use a couple years ago, so I just track in my trusty notebook.

NTC, Adidas, Fitify are 3 best apps for home workout. I have tried 100s of other apps but trust me these 3 are best in terms of the user interface, variety of exercises and what not.
I’ve been using MFP for years now and I Payton one time $50 annual payment for the premium package because it’s nice to be able to customize my own macros and enter in quick foods that I can’t find quickly in the database

For running, the best ( or at least one of the best ) app is Nike+. Seriously, it’s great and free! It can automatically stop when you stop running, it has nice music options, like choosing a power song, it has levels on map ( so you know where you did great on the map, and where you didn’t)

Great video! An app I started using is “muscle and motion”. It basically shows all the typical exercises we do in the gym, what muscles are being used, and proper form. It shows it on a skeletal & muscular level. It’s been super helpful with showing me what muscles should be firing! Thanks again Kara and Jason for the great content!
