Misleading sham of a video. A review is done by someone who has the items and assessed them this is a bunch of adverts stitched together!!
Information on soy milk is false. 90% of soy is fed to animals that will be slaughtered for meat. Also on estrogen if you’re consuming soy all day long might have an affect on you but if you’re just drinking lattes, you are fine.
The hair extensions are too obvious in the first video…... Nespresso has the worst reviews online
I’ve recently learned that different types of milks will required slightly different frothing times or temperature to get proper milk foam, I would love to see a video of someone testing that out!
I’m not a fan of the storebought almond milks, most of them are like 0,0001% almonds, 99,9999% water, guar gums, etc. I’d be curious to see if your homemade almond milk froths well
I’m so sad to see that you are still reviewing this plastic product after the information I sent you about the global plastic pollution catastrophe looming over the world and future generations!
I will post the information again in case you missed it and for everyone’s knowledge.
From what I understand, it has to do with the amount of the protein in it, like you need to have high protein for foaming and for yogurt.
Thanks for the video but the info about the environmental effects of soy and the estrogen is incorrect.
Great informative video. Good luck and can’t wait to see the next one
I believe I’ve read that 98% of soy crops go to animal feed, and only 1% goes to human food products. Definitely numbers to consider for the environmental impact of soy milk or tofu!
Hello my friend. Excellent video however I did notice a few errors you mentioned. Regarding soy milk and it containing phytoestrogen. Regular milk contains actual estrogen so if people are worried about soy they should defiantly not have milk. Regarding the environmental side. Soy beans are actually made for the animal agriculture, particularly cattle.around 6% of soy production is used for humans. Regarding almond milk. It takes 384 litres of water to make 1 litre of almond milk. However, cows milk on average takes 1020 litres of water to produce 1 litre.
I’ve just become a barista so thank you so much for all the tips and tricks!
Awesome! I need to switch away from almond milk. I will try oat!
A wonderful video! What’s your recipe for homemade almond milk? In our cafe we make it ourselves too but it doesn’t seem creamy rather.. watery? How much almonds do you use for a liter?
I have always drunk large quantities of milk. Growing up in dairy country in northern NY State, step father having been raised on a dairy farm, and us on a hobby farm, it was always cows’ milk, right up through University. After University, I started to take sustainability seriously and get into plant based alternatives. One of the only milks I have not tried is hemp milk. For me, flavor and cost are important. My thoughts: Pea milk is ok, but it’s expensive. It also has a distinctive dried pea aftertaste which it imparts also to pea protein yogurts. Canned coconut milk for cooking is delicious, but full of saturated fat, and carton coconut milk is watery in comparison with little flavor. I have a hard time getting over that. Rice milk tastes very watery and while I can get behind homemade horchata, I usually am not into the texture of rice milk. Not a go-to for me. Oat milk is delicious. Creamy, rich, my favorite flavor of milk. Of the brands I’ve tried, Oatly is the best, Elmhurst dairy is second, Pacific foods would be great if I wanted a very sweet milk (maybe if I’m making a dessert), and planet oat is just fine. Dream brand does not belong in the same sentence. You could buy a carton of another brand and just water it down to get 2 cartons of dream oat milk. But I buy oat milk sometimes, when I want to splurge. Flax milk tastes like cardboard or something. Just off to me. Almond milk is ok, but after having had it around in the house, I can say that I just don’t get much out of it. It tastes faintly like dusty almonds, and there’s nothing compelling about its texture. It’s cheap, though.
Finally, my go-to is soy milk. I am very thankful to really enjoy soy milk, which I have done even moreso since tasting freshly made soy milk in Taiwan. The carton stuff can’t really hold a candle to it, but it’s still very enjoyable to me. I’m also very lucky that the grocery store I shop in has a store brand of organic soy milk that is very cheap. $2.50 for a half gallon (about 1.9L). That’s barely more than non-organic almond milk. A plus is that it is fortified with b12, and it has a lot of protein, which I don’t really worry about too much, but one does need to consume it from somewhere and I don’t eat meat much anymore. For $5/gallon, I can drink it like there’s no tomorrow and still not spend as much as I would for one drink at a restaurant. I go through about 1.5 gallons a week sometimes, just me. I’m in the US and I am pretty sure the soy beans are domestic. When I’m feeling bored of it, I buy Oatly. Full fat is so tasty, and low fat is surprisingly good, but my favorite is the regular Oatly. It’s $10/gallon, but that’s still cheaper than others. Cows’ milk is about $2.50/gallon, which was one thing that made it hard to switch, but I did it. Obviously, the flavor is another. I still really like cows’ milk, but I just don’t think it’s ethically produced from a number of angles so toward the end of my buying it, I was shelling out for the really nice stuff, like grassmilk, at $12/gallon. Hopefully vegan cheese can get better soon! Tbh it largely sucks right now.
I’m obsessed with non dairy milks, tried them all. Loving hazelnut milk probably the most. I love the Inmocent milks but I don’t like the fact that it’s made by Coca Cola so I’m a bit suspicious on how they are actually made….. I’ve not had very good luck with making my own milks…. they just don’t taste the same. X
Cashews are so gooood though they are probably not recommended because they’re so high in fat
Any ‘barista blend! oat milk that’s organic? Oatly, calista farms are not organic…or any good recipe/video to make ‘barista blend’ style oat milk at home?
i was just searing up videos on this topic!!! Right on time . Do you recommend Thayers Original Witch Hazel???
Thank you for making this video! I’ve had so much acne since I started drinking the Alpro almond milk (the first one you talked about), but I had no idea that could be the cause!
I hate steaming soy milk it ‘s a lot nicer at 50-55 degree celcius, it ‘s smooth, able to do nice latte art (but cant serve at that temperature, the coffee gets cold so quick). For the coconut milk, I find adding more milk while you steaming would make it smoother (or stirling it after could help the texture a bit smoother). Almond is ok for me. I love oat milk! Taste nice (thick and creamy, smell light and nice), so easy to steam and do latte art
Man I loved this video. “Become one with the milk” cracked me up. Love the energy and the vibes. Just subscribed too. All the best yo.
Thank you for a great and thorough video. I think you took a risk on talking about the health and environmental effects of the milks because everyone is apperantly a scientist in the comment section. But overall all I love the quality and information you provided. Thanks!
These videos help me so much. Thanks for all of the great tips:-)
I love hemp milk! So glad to know that it is also good for the environment. I think hemp milk is the most nutritious out of all the non dairy milks.
Nice video mateBut Deforestation for soy:90% of soy from plantstions is going to fead animals not for humans..
Hey Andrew! Would you please advise if I can stream non dairy milk on a home espresso machine? Are home machines powerful enough for that and which one would you recommend? Thanks:)
So coconut milk is a no? Also the only brand available in my country is alpro…I would really appreciate any response
I’m loving these videos everyday! thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us, I found your channel at such a good time where ive been working on my gut health and skincare and so many of your suggestions have lined up with things my naturopath has said plus even additional information that I’ve found so helpful! when you got to the cashew part of this video I found it so accurate for me because I found out they are one of my highest intolerances and I was having cashew milk the most for the longest time because it was so creamy but your so right1 It does seem like one of the least nutritious nuts, yet now that ive had to cut it out I find its in like every non dairy substitute:(
keep sharing the info ive been loving looking forward to a new one everyday! <3
Do you have to stick your nose right up to the lens? Step back a bit-I don’t actually need to see every pore and beard follicle.
Great video and your personality is great! How do you measure the milk’s temperature? Just by feel of the cup in your hand?
Great video man thank you! Also, Milk is a made up word, so technically we can call the alternative whatever we want, the majority has agreed on “Milk” so really, they are milks
I’m one of those who ask for extra hot lattes… guilty as charged!
Exactly what I was looking for! I was trying to find the right temperature for steaming soy milk. It’s awesome that you talked about the environmental impact as well. This makes me really want to try oat milk!
Thank you! I’ve recently noticed my body doesn’t handle dairy as well as it did before I was training to be a barista so this video definitely helps. Keep it up!
Amazing video bro, really appreciate that you, finally the first real talk, did it. Especially the environmental impact is a big thing nowadays. Thank you so much. Keep going, I do enjoy your videos a lot… Much love from Germany
I love the fact that you talk thinking about all of us and not only tell us which are your favourites and tell us to go but them asap because they are the best for everybody!
I have seen so many people claiming that soy milk is amazing for acne-prone skin and finally there is someone who is truly honest!
Another great video! I find your channel super informative, keep up the good work, I could live watching one video every day forever!!!!
Background music is too loud and unnecessary. We can barely hear over it……
I too am having great luck making latte art with alternative milks with Almond being my favorite. I’m starting to experiment with Oat milk and am wondering which brand you prefer?
