My main problem with weight loss is when i cut back on calories i feel extremely weak and get the worst brain fog where i almost crashed my car and i forget thing’s.

It’s annoying to how fine of a line scales are. You either ignore them (smash them up) and become unhealthy and decrease your life expectancy and happiness OR you become overwhelmed by the results and become unhealthy and decrease you life expectancy and happiness.
If you want to lose weight. Don’t speed it. Eat 1.8 to 2k a day (monitor it) and focus on etching 5 a day while avoiding junk food every other day

Having an unhealthy habit with a scale is not good, but personally I don’t agree with smashing the scale. I don’t believe it would be fufilling or solve the unhealthy habit. The scale is not an enemy, it does have a fairly good tracking method for weightloss, especially when you’re obese or very overweight. But of course the smaller you get and more muscle you gain the scale won’t be a good predictor anymore. And the same goes for people who need to gain weight by building muscle or gaining more fat to be healthy it could be a good measuremeant.
I think (and this is just my opinion which I am allowed to state) that smashing the scale only makes your unhealthy obsession or fear of it worse because now you’ve made it your enemy and not tried to fix the problem.

I understand that some people may get obsessed with the numbers but I personally weight myself every day yes, and I have a reason. I was struggling with my weight but counting calories and weighting myself made me understand my body better. I know how much I need to eat to lose, maintain or gain weight and that’s super beneficial to me because I don’t get confused when I suddenly gain or lose weight. I can see the problem and know how to fix it.

This would’ve actually been cool to see people conquer their fears of the scale, but not if it was going to trigger an eating disorder. I had severe bulimia all through high school and college and ever since I stopped weighing myself, I legitimately love my body. Honestly, yeah. As an athlete, I’ve freaked out over the scale for a few years. But then I’ve had my doctor say, straight to me, that if I’m gonna build muscle and lose weight, then screw the scale. If you’re worried about being unhealthy, ‘ask me’, he said, cause the lower numbers on the scale don’t exactly apply to health or beauty. And I’ve remembered that, and it’s helped me a lot in my muscle building journey. I’m a 5 foot trans guy of 145, and seeing this stuff makes me happier, especially seeing the women be so happy over smashing the scale with a sledgehammer.:)
