J’aime beaucoup le vélo de route, mais le problème c’est les automobilistes….je ne peux plus rouler à côté d eux…
This video was made when legends was riding donkeys around…. a huge thump up down
When i heard the “carbon frame and fork” I looked at the title again cuz before I clicked the vid it was supposed to be a Beginner(for me cheap XD)
Let’s buy carbon for our first bike! Then when you cant un clip SNAP!
Considering road bike for my first half Ironman. Budget is limit. $2500-3000 Any ideas?
Willier looks amazing but I love my Trek emonda slr6 & I’m still not in to disc brakes!!
Best road bikes for beginners. I never saw a selection of bikes suggesting a choice so f—k it I’ll look else where .
Yeah I’m definitely going to pay over $1k for my first road bike
Bikeradar need to do a new video!
Top 5 bikes you can buy under £1000 that are actually still in stock!
Everywhere sold out unless you want size XS!
Few months later when the weather turns there will be loads of quality second hand bikes for sale!
For 12 pounds you could host a soup kitchen to feed a bunch of people in the community for a day!
Hi how can I get bicycle number 2 because am in Uganda and racer am ready to pay
Scott vs Speacilized. Who wins?
Need some opinions. Thank you.
Alieexpress has all of those much desired frame with same geometry and materials but with different branding and comes at very reasonable price, yet, safety is not compromised…
video should be titled: top bikes that normal people would never consider because the price
What about the Giant TCR? I can’t believe that sweet speed machine was left off the list…
I can’t believe I waited through two adverts to get here to get another five adverts! Great sales pitches, absolutely nothing more!
I wish that I could get those top 5 roadbikes atleast one
Why is every new road racing bike looking like an old over sized woman’s mountain bike with the top bar slanted down and ugly disc brakes.
Madone without it’s beautifully integrated rim brakes is not Madone anymore…
Nice!!! But I’m happy with my madone sL6 Disc. But if I had 12,000 pounds laying around I rather buy upgraded parts For my Porsche
It is kinda scary that we are going to have a global glut of unusable unsafe carbon bikes out there in the world. All carbon breaks down and fatigues sooner than steel and alloy counterparts. That is why you can ride a good condition 60 year old steel frame road bike nowadays with confidence. A cared for old frame with upgraded components will continue on for decades to come and still perform surprisingly well.
6 watts here, x % there
Seems like that every year. Surprised we need to pedal actually.
Such a load of rubbish
I know lots of riders and few of them are interested in disc brakes on road bikes. Myself included…it’s just more shit I don’t need and more of a headache that I don’t want.
“…during spring classics of early 2020…” How things have changed in the last six months.
I been asking about the “Chapo” bike and nobody seems to have a clear and unbias answer, are they any good?
Awesome bikes, but would rather build my own bike for these prices. ♂️
New to road bikes, I’m just looking for something to ride the roads for some exercise. What would you recommend?
Specialized Venge is what I would’ve chosen rather than the Specialized Roubaix such as thinking of best of Specialized it is the Venge that i think is up there at tops per se or maybe the Tarmac according to some who love hills, but the Roubaix comes to mind for casual riding such as comfort riding of these three models. I have a Venge and i love it such as when i ride it i have such pleasingly awesome moments how i mean and it gets awesome feedback by individuals who see it along the way how i am referring about. So i am saying the Venge as that is what i chose to buy out of the three and i am enormously happy that i have chosen the Venge and hopefully will be having more amazing moments ahead in my future with the Venge. It is certainly the fastest bike that i have ever ridden and it is certainly one of the most beautiful bikes that i have ridden and honestly it does climbs rather efficiently as well i think and it is certainly a super aero bike of which going up hills and having the aero bike be able to help by being aero is a huge plus too i think and not just for down hill and especially noticeable on windy days how i mean.
God everything about the cannondale revamp is just awful. The kodak font logo. Gentrified minimal design. Awful integrated parts. Just awful.
I like Road Bike but how can i buy this I am Poor? Who has an old bike
Sometimes times i feel top 5 does not depend only their high price or specs, it is more depends on how much the got to endorse top 5.
Seriously all bikes way too expensive for us guys, all over $10k!!
I have the brand new 2020 specialized allez. Price £800 perfect for the price range.
Why is Bikeradar so keen on “ride to local cafe”???
Once is ok….
Most of these frame are shit and made in China or Cambodia. Would never purchase a serious frame made in either of those places. Your reviews are crap.
I hate when people complain about the price, sure it costs as much as a VB car but the feelings you get after a long day in the saddle is priceless
If you pay $12,000 for a bicycle, you DESERVE a $12,000 bicycle.
So, it’s evident from the comments section that people are starting to tire of the marketing hype and bullshit. Now we just need 12 months of ignoring manufacturers, not buying ridiculously over priced bikes and cycling equipment and prices will finally settle back somewhere near where they should be.
As consumers, the power is there, we just need to learn to vote with our wallets and commit to it.
All this horse shit about R and D and trickle down technology is precisely that, horse shit!!
Time to force these people to stop ripping us off……
No matter what you still have to pedal to darn things to move!
This bike is aero…This bike is aero…This bike is so aero…ok great review. Lets face it. Bikes can’t change that much.
WARNING! Be wary about purchasing a bike from Cannondale. They provide no warranty service whatsoever for their attractive but shoddily made Chinese bikes. Moreover their “support” department, which tellingly refuses to list a phone number, can only be contacted by email. Hardly surprising because they exist only to get rid of people. When presented with evidence of a serious drive train problem with their shoddily made Quick 3 that required a costly drivetrain replacement from another manufacturer, North American Customer Service Manager, Phil Capezio and his assistant responded with dismissive boilerplate, finally blowing me off with a good luck, have a nice day. Statements from the bike shop mechanics with their own dealers mean nothing to them. Nor do repair receipts or statements from those mechanics.
I might not agree with the way ya’ll say tomato, potato, and a lot of other things…but I LOVE the aluminum pronunciation! Trying to work that in for myself. (American)
My dream is to have a TREK DOMANE bike, but because my family cannot afford it, I think the dream is always a dream and it will never be realized. (This comment is from Vietnam)
This video definitely sponsored by Amazon. Do your local bike shop mechanic a favor. Just leave the new bike in the box and take it to him. Don’t make him or her figure out what you did wrong first. They will thank you!
Impressed!! Great video! Subscribed…….I`m a beginner and Hello from Velodream Mamut ( @ )!
Unless someone else is buying, I won’t be riding a disc brake bike. waste of my money
Thanks for the post! This is useful guidance information for enthusiast and professional bicyclists for 2020. Since 2019 I have owned a 2008 Cervelo SLC-SL Soloist Carbon Super Light road bicycle upgraded with a Reynolds carbon aerodynamic wheelset and Vittoria tubular tires. Without pedals the bicycle weighs in at only 15.5 pounds. A stiff, light, fast bicycle with impressive acceleration and handling.
How may people actually need/buy gravel bikes? For that much money
You overlooked a bike that is winning “Best Of” awards here in the states. The Fezzari Empire SL (Pro, Pro Race, and Team Edition.) Check out the specs and the price on their website.
how can a road bike even the pros ride only for one races a year (roubaix) make a top 5 list???
the videos like this are useless. do you really think people buy 3-4+ kEuro bykes every year just to follow marketing trends:)??
people want an advice for a bike to buy for 10-15 years, neglecting incremental trends. the bike should be reliable and solid. no mater what brand.
and professionals (racers) would never simply refer to youtube for advises…
These are tools people. It depends on the rider if it wins or not. Certainly the more efficient the tool is the better for the rider. All are great, depends on what you like. I personally love the look of the Canyon Aeroad which they didnt mention here but it works for me
It is funny that Colnago really started Discs on road bike but now they are one of the few brands that have rim version! GOD SAVE THE RIMS!!!
SCOTT is the real deal! Fully integrated cables….all the others have cables visible ewwwww
I have an idea about how i imagine to buy a expensive bike with the price of a car.
You can buy bikes more than one bike or you can have full bike shop or maybe buy all of you need for one bike that is high end of course
A) Steel
B) Aluminium
C) Titanium
D) Carbón
E) Campagnolo or Shimano
none of this bikes are race proved but Dogma F12 does. it won Tour de france
In 1969 you could buy the same bike eddy merckx rode for $285 dollars
You never mention Planet X, or RIBBLE when doing these reviews, this seams a bit snobby, and they are UK company, shame on you
Well if you guys had the Gaint aero bike then, i feel you guys had the have the Merida Reacto people always look over it but is one of the best and fastest
Been listening to this twaddle for over 30
Years now and it’s still as entertaining as ever. “It’s 10 watts faster”. Than what? A fat bloke/woman who’s trying to buy speed instead of just closing the fridge door!
Good luck trying to find any Contend SL1’s in stock anywhere!
Hmmm, Cannondale Supersix Evo Ultegra or the Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 8.0 Di2…? Recommendation?
With the exception of the Willier those bikes are all butt ugly so what makes them hot? Advertising revenue, sales figures or did you take their temperature? Your bike of the year is the cannondale super 6 evo. Surely that should be the hottest bike of them all? Confused
“We’ve seen well.over 13 bikes….”??? That number is so small why not just say the number of bikes you’ve tested?!
They never mention draw backs likeWHAT BB, problems with fit due to integrated stem, fake aerodynamics, hydraulic disc brakes leaking, the mess of tubeless tyres. Marketing bullshit. We want bikes without maintenance nightmares. We don’t want bike brand specific parts. Who wants to get home 2 minutes earlier from a bike ride?
Need an advice! I am just starting the road bike journey and cannot choose between giant contend 3 and decathlon triban rc120. Both are +/in the same price range and both are coming with rim brakes. Contend 3 is slightly more expensive, am I just going to pay more only for the brand name or does it worth it? Have not found any comparison of these two bikes (btw, rc120 got 5 stars on bikeradar and has a carbon fork)
Let me clear something up here, a bike doesn’t win a race it’s the rider dummy. Gawd, where do they come up with this shit?
Obviously the Carrera Crossroad E is the best road bike for £999. I love mine! It’s electric!
Canyon Ultimate! Best bike for 2020.
I hate the 2020 Cannondale bikes though. They went way off.
I’m glad the Canyon Ultimate is on the list because I have one waiting for me in a box when I get home…the 8.0 Disc however. But truly most of the bikes out there right now are very high quality just different. Of course the super expensive bikes are going to be great but much of the tech trickles down.
No, Cannondale are not the pioneers of aluminum aero — Cervelo are. Ever hear if the Soloist?
Why is it called the 525?
Because “Ridley Noah” was already taken.
Massive 40watts against the Trek Emonda???? Under what conditions???? Cycling magazines would benefit from editors with at least some science background
remember when CW used to test aero bikes around the velodrome?
Prefiero las Pinarello y las Bianchi son preciosas y elegantes
The “best” bike is the one that you build yourself period. If you’re really into cycling, why wouldn’t’ you? In *most manufacturing, Labor costs more than the material itself. You can EASILY save 60% or more buy parts and put together yourself and LEARN a lot along the way. COOL?
U only need enough bike to keep up with your local group rides. That for many would mean a $1500 105 model and a $750 indoor trainer!
What’s the best bike that doesn’t require your first born or right lung
Where is the standing of the Vitus ZX1 in 2020? Is it a bike worth to be considered as super bike or it has still some distance to catch up?
So Trek Madone is pronounced “Madon”, but Domane “Domané”? WTF?
“in 2020, this list helped me decide for the best electric bike scafe.shop/tbeb2020?HU hope it helps you out too!”
Random observation I have been to China multiple times and 95% of the bike shops that I have seen are all Giant retails. That makes me believe that Giant carbon frames are more than likely the notorious Chinese Carbon. For ruffly 1000 pounds you can get some fantastic quality Chinese brands who possible make some of these frames listed above.
Surely something some Cube should make top 5 at this price category? Some great value, great looking bikes with good specs available
I ride both Road and Off Road and find them different in that Road Riders tend to be more snobbish than off roaders…if you don’t like that comment, I don’t care. That noted, I would be interested in the best bike for the money ranging from say 1000 to 3000 dollars.
If money is not an obstacle, I would get mason’s definition 2 (force 2x eTap) with carbon wheels.
Hardly the best bikes. Most of them are the troublesome and over hyped.
Aesthetic appeal seems to be your interest
Irrespective to price and general overlook on the actual appearance of the vehicle itself, the respective specs would be appreciated by the viewers, I’m sure.
Friends and I agree, we hate it when someone takes something that is so well-made and is slapped a label on and turned into a showroom/floor model.
I really didn’t learn anything watching or listening to the video. So I feel badly for the manufacturers of the vehicles you decided to portray in your video.
I wouldn’t pursue a branding/content subscription unless you tried harder than asking viewers for their opinion in post-post.
Wow it must be a difficult job to go through the same list every year. Never mind that there are hundreds of boutique frame builders out there building some exceptional frames.
The best bike will be as the saying goes, the one you are riding at the time this dirge about stats and percentages is just a waste of time, most of us are not professional competing riders yet this dream/image is constantly promoted that somehow if pay for this product it will somehow transform you, it won’t…… just enjoy riding and stay away from the hype
Where is the Addict RC thats light as hell and maybe you guys should put it in or you get sponsored by these brands
That Trek Domane looks a real killer but the price is damn high for SL6 with Ultegra. The bike is also pretty heavy, almost 10kg. 3799€ for that when you can get the same groupset and lighter weight for 2499€. I was hyped already for the bike and it’s features like mudguard and trekking placements and tire clearance before I saw the weight and the price.
The best road bike is the one with your favorite saddle with tyres that don’t need pumping ready to go in the morningn
The lighter the bike, the more rigid it needs to be in order not to bend and break.
looked at the Domane today in the shop, comes with 32m tyres and 38m should fit in the rear, but I would not expect them to fit in the front, maybe 35m
but the paint jobs (metallic) will have them flying off the shelves outstanding, even on the cheaper 105 version
I use this to bike to class and around town every day share4.photo/RoadBike?Cの It’s reliable, super lightweight (especially compared to a lot of steel bikes people have), and affordable. I did upgrade the seat, which was pretty hard and narrow. I also upgraded the pedals to a larger metal pair although the stock ones were okay. I think one unexpected advantage of this model is the weightit’s very easy to carry and maneuver. Have had no reliability or quality issues so far.
Since Scott and Colnago bikes are made by Giant Bicycle Company why don’t we have at least the Giant TCR SL on your list. Are Giants not quite as sexy as the others even though they are equally as fast and my 2018 TCR Ultegra weighs only 16.01 pounds. Thank you.
Well if you already have a car, love cycling, and have 12000 to get rid of…print a fraud receipt saying its 1200 for the spouse
right…went on shopping for an endurance bike 2 weeks ago…went into Trek store in Utrecht…price for new disc Domane around 3000 Euros
difference between Domane 5 and Domane 6 wider fork, up to 38mm
is it really worth 1000 Euros for turning endurance into gravel bike?
Trek is just money hungry…
Same can be said about Specialized Roubaix…why would I pay 3K for all arounder that I should not take a lot of care of? It just needs to go at least that is how both are advertised.
We need to see the rise of Chinese bike Brands to kill overpriced bikes
How about best $1250 and best $2500 bikes for realistic riders
As a former Domane owner, the new one would be my choice; so versatile with the possibility of using at least 38mm tyres.
Thanks for the ‘ive ridden it, it’s a racing bike’ insight on the F12
Wow! Everything put out by the big companies is true! And there was me thinking I should take their 8sec gains and their 12% improvements with a giant pinch of salt. Thank God for high quality investigative journalism.
Safe yourself and children on the road. Bicycle RUSSIA the BEST!!!

What do you think to our list? Did we get it right? Let us know in the comments and thanks for watching!
No Cannondale Optimo?
Tiagra 10 speed group (still good), compact cockpit, SuperSix EVO carbon fork (BallisTec), MUCH better welds than the rest of the field, CAAD13 geometry & SAVE suspension @ £1033.
Are these bikes suitable for women? or there is similar models made for women specifically?
Such a great deal share4.photo/RoadBike?Cの Love this bike, it looks cool and great performance. Beyond happy with my purchase
Don’t understand why you’ve picked the Triban RC520 over the Van Rysel EDR 105 if you’re including a Decathlon bike. The EDR is only a hundred quid more and gives the full 105 groupset, better wheels and tyres, and is lighter whilst still having similar geometry to the Triban.
I got a used 2013 Allez a couple months ago super cheap and I love it. It didn’t come with the 105 groupset that’s on the newer stuff but I planned on upgrading that this off season. It could use some other upgrades too, but no rush since all my triathlons are likely cancelled for the year.
Canyon Endurace is now £1100…..looks like they capitalised on the Coronavirus pandemic with everyone exercising outdoors
It’s not totally exchange rates anymore. Trump’s aluminum tariffs raised the prices of alloy bikes about $100. I’m not sure if that was the commodity price or the import tariff.
Road bikes Gravel bikes are WORTHLESS just get a Full Suspension set up for Concrete
I think you should consider polygon when it comes value for money
You are talking garbage. how can the Disc brakes only offering be better? Are you nuts? Disc brakes really spoilt the look of the bicycles. it truly is the biggest gimmick in the history of bicycles. it is really sad.
GT Grade needs a start at the $1000 mark… Great unit for touring and sport.
I’ve got the 2016 Liv Advanced Avail Pro it’s a fantastic bike. Comfortable, agile, has taken my riding to new places. Can I politely make a suggestion: ‘women’s bike for women cyclists’. People need to stop saying ‘female’ women is perfectly acceptable, more respectful and doesn’t sound like a scientific experiment. I rarely hear the word ‘male’ used for men.:)
when uk riders talk in km ANNOYINGGGGGG the triban gravel version is apparently amazing value
Disc brakes really spoilt the look of the bicycles. it truly is the biggest gimmick in the history of bicycles. it is really sad.
I love my triban bikes. I will say the blue 520 has a terrible paint job in person in my opinion. I recommend the gravel version or the silver/black slightly cheaper model
If you live in Australia or Indonesia, Strattos from Polygon is a bike lines you definitely should consider
It’s too bad road bikes are usually so boring looking. The Triban looks pretty good in blue, though.
Where’s the TCR advanced 2? That thing is just above 1000 GBP in China!
I have a triban rc520, i have done 1100 km in total with. Also one trip of 120 km and i love it. You still have some cash to buy some good shorts + good tires!
In the UK then the Boardman 8.9 Carbon isn’t a bad call. Carbon frame, Tiagra groupset, 9kg weight and often available for well under £1000. The tyres are nasty and the worst things that I have ever tried to get back on a wheel and my front wheel spokes were badly tensioned. Apart from that, it’s a solid £1000 bike that you can get for well under the £1000 if you are willing to wait for a sale.
So far I’ve managed to fit 38mm tires on my Kitt (Triban RC 520). I think I can fit 40 or even 42mm it’s becoming more gravel than road bike
Hi! Where is new ROSE Pro SL?:) It is in the price range and I would argue it is much nicer and somewhat lighter then the bikes on this list. What do you think?
Now you’re talkin Bike Radar…
A little less “élitist”, quite a bit more realistic…
What about Rose Pro SL it’s 1199€ with a complete 105 Group set and solid DT Swiss wheels, weighing 8,5kg and has perfect weldseams that make Cannondale’s Caad13 look like rubbish. Btw it’s available in sizes up to 65cm for the really tall guys.
This is so much better than GCN with their Top Gear ‘funny banter’
I have the triban rc520 and it is awesome. Fitted 35 mm g-one schwalbe tires and i love it!
The front brake on that Triban is in a different postcode to the rest of the bike
Cannondale spends all that money developing knot wheels and that cockpit, and then their pro team goes and puts vision bars and wheels on their bikes. It doesn’t look good for either of them.
I’m always disappointed when brands swap out the brakes. As a price saving exercise the cost reduction is minimal, but the performance reduction is significant.
The first part I upgraded was the brakes. £70 upgrade, massively increased confidence. The 105 calipers are fantastic value for money.
I came here to talk shit if you don’t put the canyon endurace AL 7.0 in the list. Glad to see you did
I just got my wife a Scott Speedster Contessa 15 for 999 Euro with 105.
Decathlon (Triban and Van Rysel branded) bikes offer great value for money for those who aren’t concerned with brand snobbery.
For example, the new Van Rysel EDR AF, which is marketed as an endurance bike, has identical stack and reach with the Specialized Allez Sprint, aluminium frame and full 105 groupset.
A viable Allez Sprint alternative for £850, as compared to the Allez which costs £1200-£1800.
Are you kidding? Roubaix faster than Tarmac?!!! Why the pros are not using Roubaix instead of Tarmac or Venge? Are they stupid? As far as I know they use the new Roubaix for the Paris-Roubaix because they have to, not because they want.
why doesnt they say how much all of the bikes are or are they all £9,000
Bought a Canyon AL 6.0 Disc for €750… dont ask me how but i did… I WIN
I am going to buy one hundredth of a large latte, with that pound,
Why post mount brakes on a flat mount system? The adapters are quite heavy and ugly. I know that as I have them too:/. TRP has by now also a flat mount version of these brakes.
Ever review Radon bikes? Their specs look so good for their price.
Though I’m neither keen on carbon fiber nor disk brakes, that Zenium is really hard to pass up. And I could totally live with Tiagra because it lends itself well to flat bar conversions (albeit it’s a whole lot more involved affair with those hydraulic brakes!)
Do you do budget oriented bikes for the normal 9-5 humans out there?
Additionally how about budget builds or upgrades that you can do on a budget bike?
Many of us do not have the luxury of being a pro rider and or have sponsored goods to review.
These bikes are good value. I have a problem with “mid-range” bikes, especially MTBs. The Problem: mid-range bikes usually come with more expensive drive-train and brakes. I would prefer “mid range” bikes coming with better wheels, and better forks (if MTBs)! Wheels and forks (especially in MTB) make a bigger difference, and drivetrain/brakes are more likely to be replaced.
I bought my first road bike a few weeks ago for 1200$. A trek domane al3. Should I have put that money else where?
Why would you want that Vitus if it’s heavier and has slightly lower spec components?
I have Triban RC500 in light blue. It’s my first road bike and I am absolutely loving it.:) I have ridden on it so far only 500km, but i gotta say for 609€ it is a steal!
Does BMC not advertise with you? Not 1 of those 5 bikes are in the same league with the BMC TMR01.
this “winner” has unbelievable poor quality brakes and wheels. Rest is ok
Can we have the bike names and models listed in the desc please?
There is a catch with the RC 520: The weight. I have got it, I am a woman and am riding the men’s version (I changed the saddle). The things that I’ll probably upgrade first: Crankset and BB, maybe new handlebars and better rotors for the disc brakes. Or I’ll just build a bike from scratch once I have the money.
Edit: Obviously forgot about the tyres. I do need the 28c tyres, however the ones that come with the RC 520 are not the best ones
Why do some companies sell different specs on bike frames in different countries. i.e. Canyon in your video not selling the same version in the US.
Can I suggest a similar review of value framesets? I never buy complete bikes.
Would love to see similar for £5,000 price point. BikeRadar accepts the challenge?
I have the canyon endurace al 6 from 2018,shimano tiagra groupset and mavic aksium wheels, such a wonderfull bike…I love the colour and the looks of the frame,I really want to make it under 7 kilos
You can get a 150 cc bike with that money in the third world’s
Given the main reason for the £1000 class in the uk is ride to work the “cheeky 50 quid” entirely excludes the top pick.
They are NOT DT SWISS wheels. They are Bottom end DT Swiss rims slapped onto a cheap set of Chinese hubs. Real DT Swiss wheels have hubs made by DT Swiss.
It’s one of the many ways specialized saves money and fools customers into thinking they are getting more for their money. Like the fact their “105” group sets come with cheaper less good Axis brand brakes and often cheaper Praxis cranks rather than the 105 shimano cranks. But they still sell the bike as “comes with 105 group set”
If I sold you a Mercedes with wheels off a KIA and a engine out a Ford I think you’d be pissed? But we let the Specialized get away with doing just that?
Whats this coffee obsession these days with you lot, GCN included? You cant make a video without mentioning it, must think your all Italian or something, and can you stop encouraging new riders please, its oversaturated now, maybe you could lead them down the road to leisure cycles not road bikes, I`ve had enough of them expecting me to wave to them when I`m in zone 5 efforts, whilst they`re sat up on the hoods tickling their cranks..have a good day everyone, and its only tongue in cheek, bye now
Nice bikes but too expensive obviously. I’m happy with my 2018 classic Cannondale SuperSix Evo:)
Disc brakes really spoilt the look of the bicycles. it truly is the biggest gimmick in the history of bicycles. it is really sad. Please pick some rim brakes bicycles. Don’t be biased. You have fell for the marketing gimmick.
Those bikes are for the poor souls living in flat as a pan places like Florida, who in order quench their competitive urges need to engage in something known as “Crits”. Which I’ve heard mainly involves the breaking of collarbones and the aforementioned aero-bikes.
You missed Pinarello F12 clearly one the most beautiful, sexy bikes around.
What do you think of Merida Road bicycle with disc brakes and Ultegra DI 2 group set
To sum-up:
Cannondale SystemSix: aeroest aero
Specialized Venge: lightest aero
Trek Madone: comphyiest aero
Giant Propel: fashionest aero
Cervélo S5: WTF is that stem aero
These bike companies need to jazz up the old and outdated paint schemes on these bikes, especially for the price of these things.
Oh and the “best” and “hottest” are 2 entirely different categories.
I Stick my bike to 2nd gear cause if i put it to 1st it like makes a loud noice and it’s pretty fast 11 speed thats fast enough
If the people who ride them don’t ride in UCI races, why would they buy these instead of recumbents?
good selections.Just to ask, is there comet bike road bikes and off road bikes?
right 5 I think and good to see the Giant Propel which is also great value
Clearly Canyon makes the best bikes. Why? German engineering and design. American bikes were once the best, but that’s back in the 90’s. And they look super super super old school, like their cars.
Just been watching how shite Cervelos are on luescher tech and hambini
Just in time for the Cycle2Work schemes which start shortly.
Come on… how can top 5 not include Canyon Aeroad? both from price and performance perspective?
And how many watts do you save by buying these compared to a normal carbon endurance bike? Im afraid its not much:)
Aero bikes what’s the point really?
Your body will always be wider than the bike anyway.
Save a little more money. Buy and Checkpoint ALR 4 and grind bro… lol
Evans cycles have just increased the price of the specialized elite by £100 to £1150!
£100 more than retail
Cheeky gits
My wal mart Roadmaster is a gem. Weighing in at 38 lbs. it is ultra-fast when diving off cliffs. It’s way faster than carbon bikes.
I think group ride people don’t talk to me on my Roadmaster because they might wish they had one. Maybe.
Indeed at this time bikes look much more as motorcycle be cause of electronic and discs brakes as well. This is just be cause of profit.
For decades normal now is old school bikes was doing well as prove till now didn’t brake
Any results which was made from Marco Pantani and Miguel Indurian.
I think this is enough.
On what criteria do you base your “best aero bikes” list? Better put all in an extensive testing review for more substantial top 10 list…..
When the rider occupies 92% of the frontal area… lets make the already blade shape object slightly more blade shape and claim its faster… My Aerobike scepticism! Also they aren’t very pretty! Just my opinion.
Great video BikeRadar! Top 5 best looking bikes out of the box? Might be a fun video considering they all perform very similar these days.
Well, cool bikes!!! I will continue to use my old Canyon 2015. I still could not squeeze out everything that is possible from him and he constantly squeezes out of me.
So how much do you get paid by these companies to promote their bikes? Always the same old brands being featured.
I’m a sucker for Italian (some by way of Far East) frames, and not one made this list???
Cipollini RB1K, Colnago Concept, Bianchi XR4, DeRosa SK, Pinarello F12. All beautiful bikes with awesome characteristics.
For the Domane project one price you could buy a high spec DH bike and go to whistler for a season
You missed the Look! All those listed have terrible tolerances.
I suspect the days of these overpriced brands are going to be numbered with little known Chinese brands now producing quality equipment at a fraction of the price. i turned in some laps on a friends new Yoeleo bike on the weekend. Definitely quicker than my Canyon AR.
Can you do a rundown of the best gravel wheels in the market.
The Trek Madone is simply the best looking bike on the planet right now. The others all look identical. But is it fast…? Well you can ask Mads Pedersen, he might be able to tell you.
Yes they are expensive, which is why alot of people make out aero bikes as a marketing fad. But boy does this bike perform like a dream!
You should have excluded a couple of brands that are known for poor frame quality control, bad bottom brackets, and contemptuous customer suipport. I’m not referring to Giant, Trek, or Specialized.
My TOP = 1: Specialized venge, 2: Pinarello Dogma, 3: Tek Madone, 4: Bianchi oltre xr4,
I went to watch with the optimistic view that it wouldn’t be the same bloody bikes every time…..what was I thinking?!? Was hoping some new blood like the stunning Focus Izalco Max might get a look in but alas, No. Maybe the BMC, No. Scott foil maybe? No, Ridley perhaps? No…… At least Giant got a run this time I guess. No disrespect meant to what is a great list of bikes but just so sick of seeing Madone, Supersix, S5, Venge etc etc in every list…..maybe they just pay more!
no Bianchi Oltre Xr4 Disc? no Basso Diamante SV? no Wilier Cento10pro? No F12? Venge and Cannondale looks so similar.. lol… Giant propel’s stem damn ugly, the rubber on the spacer easily broken… these 5 brands paid you a lot, BikeRadar
Canyon Aeroad Compared to Specialized, Trek and Cervelo it offers similar value but at a lower price point.
I wanna start road cycling but im scared of getting hit by a car, is it as dangerous as i think it is.
You guys at Bike Radar should do a video on Allied Cycle Works. Review their bikes at lets us know what you think
This is not scintillating content, just a couple photos of each bike.
All these facts and figures on weight and efficiency are wonderful……however, I’m a 6ft 3″, 15 stone 46 year old that rides 3 times a week, averages about 17mph…… and intends to eat more healthily….one day. The best way for me to save weight is to take a dump before I go on a ride. Yet…..I still watch hours of reviews in deciding my next N+1
Let’s be honest: 1K bikes are at best just OK. It’s not until 2K or above that’s when you get some genuine good bikes. Why? I don’t know.
I’m riding a lower-priced 2019 Specialized Roubaix disk brakes with an Ultegra 8000 groupset that is fast. S-Works is the way to go at a much higher price.
Well not truly sure you listed all the fastest bikes here. My opinion is unless you will try all the bikes in a video, let’s say with different riders and compare all of them this video doesn’t make a lot of sense because it’s missing a lot of bikes in here, Factor One, Pinnarello F12, BMC Timemachine, Scott Foil, Bianchi Otre, Willer and few others.
I have to dislike you’re video reason Scott Foil disc is the fastest bike ever made till today on top of all bikes you just mentioned. and it is not on you’re Top 5 plus is the only disc bike under 16 pounds I don’t think you’re job is professional I know you’re guys get commission for putting some brands on Top. Shame on you be fear To every brand out there
