Ok I HAVE A QUESTION so basically I was kinda not eating enough and I was 108 pounds which is healthy for me. During that time I skipped breakfast and lunch and then had a healthy big dinner. I wasn’t hungry ever! But during that time I didn’t workout. Then, I walked and ran and worked out daily AND ate breakfast lunch dinner snacks. But during that time I was so hungry. yet I also gained 4 pounds? muscle? Fat? Should I go back to my old ways?? I am so confused, anyhelp. I would recommend you find some poles to walk. http://www.keenfit.com has them. Been using them for over 13 years. Gives you a great ‘cross country ski’ movement and burns way more calories than just plain walking in a shorter time. Also, it makes you walk faster without realizing it. Combined with carnivore/keto and intermittent fasting, I have broke my year and a half plateau and dropped another 8lbs in 6 weeks. I try to walk about 5-6 times a week but I have no idea how many steps I’m taking.

I’ve been on Keto since the beginning of December and can say I’ve lost zero.
No matter what I do, zero weight loss and no fat loss. Actually put on a lb last time I weighed myself.
Cut back on various things, exercise, eat the right vegetables etc. but nothing.
Have Keto breath etc., but none of the results that others seem to be getting.
To be honest, by eating normal foods including junk foods, I have, in the past, lost more weight and looked better.
Even then, my body used fat more effectively whilst running than it does now.
Totally nailed me. I have an imbalance somewhere. I workout like a madman..limited results so I cut down eating while increasing workout intensity.
Now in the meantime I’m hungry all the time but afraid to eat. I also feel that if I do eat something, I’m gaining weight. It’s exhausting.

im definitely the one not eating enough calories. i lost weight around 3.5 kg and i kinda stopped losing weight while on IF. i was wondering why i wasnt losing weight when i was restricting my calorie intake to a low amount. i realized my metabolism has slowed down since i lost weight. im working on getting my metabolism high so that i can lose weight again. i hope things will come around.

You aren’t in Ketosis at all. You just think you are and probably aren’t correctly carb watching. Ketosis is a fat eating state and it’s 100% proven to lose weight.

Good morning Autumn, I have a question? I have been doing IF. 16/8 for 3 weeks and I have not lost anything i have stayed the same weight. When I break my fast I have a protein shake and have ACV and Turmeric. I am not hungry until dinner and some times I am not hungry at all. Should I eat when I am not hungry? I am getting real discouraged.

I like August; she takes all the fat out of her presentations and gets right to it. I don’t know what collagen or BCAH (?) is but I don’t think I’m using them. On a 16/8 IF schedule my entire system is working better and I feel lighter, healthier, and more energetic. Plus, the old desire to eat 16 hrs. a day is fading. I’m so happy I finally found an eating regimen that actually works for me

I walk one hour and 15 minutes every day “moderate pace” I guess its not enough steps to get to 100 minutes. I will add another 30 minutes next walk.

OF COURSE too much running is not good. That will cause a host of issues especially for women with the female athlete triad. But doing so responsibly is incredibly good for building lean muscle and improving cardiovascular health. All my runners, keep doing you.
Hi! Got into the Keto diet and it is my 4 the day today. Yesterday was a full day of stomach cramps and using the toilet more often. Today is better but still cramping stomach and a couple of visits to the toilet. Hanging on there watching many videos on Keto..your video on the food really helped..

Walking for weight loss is all about losing calories. The more resistance in your walk the more calories burned. I haven’t heard any “walking expert” suggest walking using your hands on an incline with extra weights added to your frame. Any YT weight loss guru can claim and use this tactic.

Because of my hobby and my job I do at least 20k steps. For excercise I jump rope 2k+ and some dumbbell activities every day. Also, I eat one Vegan meal a day. I believe my body looks a bit athletic.

I’m studying global nutrition and health, and you are literally going against what you’ve learnt in your curriculum… listen, cortisol is increased due to stress being applied on the body, that’s normal. That’s any kind of activity and the higher intensity, the higher stress on the body, the more cortisol! Easy right? The next thing is that so many studies says that it’s about your EE and how much kJ you intake. You lose weight if you expend more energy than you consume, it’s seen as a fact. Give me the studies saying otherwise, and I will give bias on the studies in no time! Theoretically running in the right circumstances is more effective in burning more energy than walking, but in practice other factors come into play, and no it’s not your body’s damn hormones (that only contributes to small percentages). The higher the intensity an exercise has the more energy from stored glucose in the liver and muscles is fueling the body, which will increase the need for carbohydrates/glucose in the system! You get hungry . So even though you burn more, you most likely will end up consuming more. Your end result is fine, but the reasonings you got there is just plain nonsense. It’s the same as saying you don’t burn any fat when insulin levels are elevated in the body. Stop spreading wrong information. If you really have these degrees you should know you are wrong.

After my two hip replacement surgeries, both my orthopedic surgeon & my chiropractor told me to walk. I started one month ago, one hour, every morning. I also started doing a lot of stretching for my hips, pelvis & lower back to start correcting bio mechanical problems I developed when I was disabled, which cause me chronic sciatic nerve & lumbar spine pain. I went on the ketogenic diet plan as well. I’ve done that diet before & do quite well on it. So far I’ve lost ten pounds & have made significant improvements with mobility & chronic pain management. I’m aiming to lose at least 40 LBs & correct my bio mechanical problems enough to be able to go back to the gym when this COVID business is over with. I had to stop training when my hips went to hell in a hand-basket from avascular necrosis. A severely restricted blood supply to the joint that kills the hip joint head so it collapses. Then you can’t move the joint without severe, debilitating pain. Same damn thing happened to my brother. So I guess it’s hereditary. Surgeon said it was.

I don’t make these mistakes but still after a whole week of fasting from 12 15 hours all I got was 1 kg more lol (even though I feel myself slimmer if that makes any sense) today I was able to fast 16 hours for the first time and I started cutting carbs from my first meal at least. Also will try to give it some time and stop being so anxious for results, will go back to weighing myself when I complete a month into it.

Hi, great video. Ive been walking almost everyday. I also have a physical limitation(femoral nerve/muscle weakness) so I can’t walk for long, jump,run,etc. It’s been frustrating because I’m trying to lose a lot of weight.
can you overdo coconut oil, I dont snack at all. | fast for 20hrs and use a 4 hr eating window, which sometimes I have trouble consuming enough calories
For years I thought running meant more calories were being burning then discovered that only time really matters. I started walking for 1 hour. As I slowly lost weight I increased my walk time because when I weighed 200lbs I burned more calories walking for 1 hour than I do now at 160lbs.

If you are in ketosis and already following general ketosis advice, skip to minute 13 which essentially says go to your doctor. Not helpful at all.
Walking is great. So is eliminating sugars and processed foods. And intermittent fasting. These three and you will be so much better health-mental and physical.
So I started to walk 5 miles a day to loss weight I do early in the morning.
I started running less as I gained 6 pounds last month. I was running 30 minutes at 13.6kph and walking 6000 -10000 steps I ate 1800 calories daily. Im now at a weight that negatively effects my health but am half a pound down from the last two weeks but my routine is punishing 10000 steps. I get migraines and call it with withdrawal. I’m lonely and jealous of everyone can eat and maintain their weight week on week. Ive something wrong in my health abnormal cells and appointment was cancelled over covid 19. I drink often but factor in the calories how much would that affect weight. I’ll know soon hopefully covid 19 delayed proceedings I complained and was told I’ll be looked in two weeks. I feel my weight drastically increased the risk but seeing that kind of weight gain over the last month makes me despair.

I’m 42 and walk regularly and have never had a problem with my weight but I use to run more. I now have arthritis in my big toe and so don’t run much. Running is good, BUT it has too many prerequisites to fulfill before you can enjoy the benefits e.g. proper running form, soft surface to run on instead of concrete sidewalks, nice pair of running shoes and a physically fit body to begin with.
Most people who “want” to run are either too sedentary in their life for a long time or overweight. Add in the facts that a decent pair of running shoes does not come cheap and proper running form is not something most people can grasp in a short amount of time, you can see why walking is not a bad alternative.
Of course, you can always bike or swim and still get the same benefits as running but your knees will love you.

I eat 1200 calories or less with high protein low carb and 3 low calories snacks in between. I write everything down on my Fitbit app, drink over 60 oz of water and lost 47 lbs in 7 months. Eat low calorie dense foods and started walking, i started 55 days ago, 7 kgs/15.4 lbs lost. Went from 8k to around15k steps. Some days i do a bodyweight workout or rope skipping if i feel like it. Tbf walking is better only because it’s easier to be consistent especially when starting out. However once you no longer have a ton of fat on you start jogging.

Is there a certain border for fatloss on keto? I track every single gramm I eat and have an average deficit of 400 to 700 kcal. I am in week 3 and go to the gym. Currently I am on 105 lbs and I want to get to 90 lbs for ab definition. Visible resutls are there but not on scale and I am definitely in ketosis and have weighed at some point in my life 81 lbs, so I know 90 are possible for me.

Hello, I am trying out a moderate low carb diet (20g 50g). I downloaded the Carb Manager App to use as a guide and for tracking. The App calculated a -35% deficient, at 1208 daily kcal with 50g net carbs, 126g protein and 56g fat. So my question is if I go over on lets say my daily calories or my protien but still under my net carbs if that matters. Or if the main focus is just not to go over on my net carbs and ill be fine? For instance, I stayed under my net carb but was over on my daily calorie ending the day at 1552 kcal. And was over on my fat at 90g.

I was on Keto for 5 months. Too much conflicting information about Keto WOE. To eat 70% fats, 25% protein, 5% carbs can be impossible. No one mentions how to do this. It’s like a leafy green salad drenched in olive oil with a small piece of meat or fish. Also I had side affects with bathroom issues, proper electrolytes, dull headaches, sleep etc. I didn’t count anything, and won’t at age 70……lol! Rob

This confirms what I suspected. The first half stone came off easily so I don’t think there’s anything wrong, medically. Over the last 3 years, I’ve managed to get up a weight that gave me a BMI of about 28 without over eating (although my diet was too carb heavy), so, I cannot just relax and add butter, cream and cheese to things without counting calories because my body won’t take fat from its stores if I’m taking in over 1400 cals a day which I’ve been doing, it’s usually under 1500 but over 1400. So I am now back on myfitnesspal counting carbs AND calories! Sigh. But I have to! It is a time consuming pain in the ar5e though. And I even did a 36 hour fast the last two Wednesdays….. Still the same weight today, 3 weeks in a row, 3 weeks of Keto, 2 intermittent 36 hour fasts and still that scales is telling me I am 9 stone 13.

been in Keto for 14 months and dropped 1st 10 lbs no problem…. since lockdown even though Ive really cleaned up my Keto I have just added weight really fast. Im up by 10lbs so far. Im fasting a couple of days per week and this is still having no effect. I dont know whats wrong with me then, I look the exact same as i did when i first started trying to lose weight…I don’ t think i’m stressing about anything, i use myfitnesspal to track my calories. I measure and weigh EVERYTHING I eat. I don’t eat processed foods. My diet consists of chicken, brown rice, whole wheat bread and pasta, natural peanut butter, eggs, tuna and I love it. so im not upset about what i am eating…my calories are restricted to 1500 which is almost hard for me to get to sometimes because what i eat keeps me full. I do resistance training at least 4 times a week. i drink a lot of water. Im just messed up i guess.

I am eating like 6 almonds per day… its not that much. I am not using too much fat. 1tbs heavy cream on my coffe per day. And I am avoiding cheese. I put 1tbs of olive oil in my salad and thats all. All the carbs I am eating are from salad and a little brocoli or couliflour. Thats all… I eat eggs, generally boiled, or meat or tuna… I avoid chicken a little. It’s beeing 3 weeks on keto and IF but I only lost weight in the two first weeks. Now in the third week I lost nothing… witch makes me not understand. Even if I exercise I am not losing.
After getting to know IF I’ve realized that I did fasting all the time unknowingly! HOWEVER! I never lost any weight and was even gaining weight! And I remember going why am I gaining wight when I only eat one meal a day?!I must be one of those ppl who gain weight just by breathing . I’ve been on Keto for 8 weeks. Lost 6 pounds right away and bounced back-and-forth between that ever since. I can’t seem to lose any more weight and in fact I’m already only a pound less than when I started eight weeks ago and pretty much eat similar things every day. I often do less than 20 carbs a day and get a moderate amount of walking exercise with my dog weekly. All the keto calculators pretty much tell me to stay around 1500 to 1650 calories a day for my weight, height and age. So I do focus on calories as well as net carbs and meeting my macros. It’s a pain in the ass but I take this very seriously and I work very hard at trying to balance everything out. I’m getting really discouraged. I could probably use a couple extra hours sleep a night, so I’m trying to change that. I don’t drink alcohol, I don’t smoke and I don’t do any drugs. BUT… I do have a bad habit of chewing a significant amount of sugar free gum during the day and especially at night to keep me from snacking. While there are no carbs, I wonder if the constant chewing of the gum is keeping my insulin higher than it should be and therefore it’s making me insulin resistant? I don’t want to have to give up the gum but it does keep me from snacking. However, if that’s the culprit then I’ll give it up because after eight weeks of being extremely diligent, I’m really bummed. Last year I went on a low calorie vegan diet, used my fitness pal to log everything I ate (now I use Carb Manager) and within a year I lost 70 pounds that I gained developing type two diabetes that I didn’t know I had and have now cured. I have another 50 to go but I don’t want to go back to my old diet because my carbs were around 100g a day and while that’s still considered significantly low compared to the average American diet, a recent ultrasound showed that I have a fatty liver —so I know that Keto is the best diet for that. So could it be the sugar-free gum keeping me from losing weight? I’m just so desperate for answers because I’m ready to give up and I know I shouldn’t. Thanks in advance for anyone’s advice!! I want to get this weight off so I can be an inspiration to others.

She’s right about the hormones balance thing. walking does lower androgens, but high intensity activities/running too much will cause hormone imbalance because the surrenal glands get overstimulated, and both adrenaline & androgens will get produced. bad thing if your a woman trying to loose weight, esp if you have pcos. thats why women can lose weight doing yoga regularly. women should do regular, long session (at least 1h ) of low impact/low intensity physical exercises.

Great points that I had not considered. One problem I encountered within the first two weeks was an increase of BP… ranging then from 150/100 to 186/80 and being put on BP medicine… With the meds my BP is still not down to my normal (before Keto eating) of 124/74. This seems backward to me… I was NOT on BP meds prior to keto. Any thoughts?

I think that is a great coverage on cortisol, however, from what I learned, it’s is like this: There is absolute no necessity to maintain steady levels of cortisol in your body, quite the contrary. The ability to react on stressors with an increase followed by a decrease of certain hormones is a sign of a healthy, functioning hormone system.
Only very high levels of stress (trauma) or chronic stress without the following decrease of stress hormones is what is harmful to your body and will on the long term result in inflammation, weight gain, high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease.
Running, however, can be seen as a training for your stress system, the sudden increase in cortisol will most certainly be counteracted and result in relaxation and actually LESS stress for your body (“runners high”). This can counteract chronic stress and balance out the stress system.
So I have to disagree with your theory. (Not talking about excessive running here obviously, this can of course lead to burnout/adrenal fatigue).

This video helped me a lot. I was stalling weight loss for over a week, it wouldnt budge. I started tracking my macros and did some adjustments and after first day I did it, the scale finally moved. I believe i was eating too much protein. Initially when I wasnt tracking macros, I was only paying attention to my carb intake while neglecting actually knowing my fat and protein intake.

Walking is preferred if you have years for weight loss. For most people who want to lose weight in a reasonable amount of time you have to run. There’s no easy way to do it, weight loss takes hard work and real commitment bottom line.

I did intermittent fasting for 2 weeks and I I lost 8 pounds. After that my body stopped burning fat and it’s weird because I eat healthy and I exercise everyday! I’m now doing detox to see if that’s the reason why I’m not losing weight

I am not losing weight. I just started the keto diet about three weeks ago, tomorrow starts week four. I’m religiously tracking all my food in MFP and weighing all my ingredients. Most days I average around 12-15 net carbs per day and keeping my calories under 1200. I am spinning 5 days a week for 30 minutes every morning fasted. I take a thirty minute brisk walk every evening. According to my apple watch I complete all of my activity circles and I am walking around 9000 steps a day. I am doing IF and average anywhere from 16-18 hours depending on how hungry I am. I drink almost a gallon of water every day and I am sleeping an average of 7-9 hours most nights. I feel like I am doing literally EVERYTHING right and I have lost 1-2lbs and I teeter between losing 2lbs and going up or down 1-2lbs. What the hell is going on? I am getting so frustrated.

My diet was roughly comprised of 2,000 calories per day and I used Intermittent Fasting with a 16/8 window. I did not eliminate ANY foods or food groups entirely, however, I consumed zero liquid calories… I even had pizza, ribs, Chinese-takeout, cookies, ice cream, and key lime pie during the past 5 months. I lost 59.5 lbs in 152 days… that’s an average of 0.39 lbs per day. This means I maintained an average caloric deficit of 1370kcal per day. This is consistent with my BMR http://www.bmrcalculator.org (recalculated as I became lighter) and caloric burn from walking estimated from https://www.verywellfit.com/walking-calories-burned-by-miles-3887154 (also recalculated based on longer distances in months 1 and 2 when I was also at my heaviest). Over the 152 days I didn’t miss a single day of walking, although I did have several very light days. My slowest pace was just over 2 mph in Feb. and my fastest pace is currently just under 4 mph. Finally, all of this tracks with my experience of greater weight loss at the beginning of my process and a slower rate of loss in months 4 & 5. The only costs of this program have been a subscription to Audible and 4.5 pairs of Nikes.
Moral of the story… You can absolutely lose weight quickly if you focus on WHEN you eat and put in the miles one step at a time.

The main thing I’ve tried that’s worked Well is don’t eat several hours before you go to sleep. Even if you eat three meals in one day don’t eat after about 6pm for a couple of weeks And you should be able to take weight off.

Was 97 kg.basic metabolic rate 1900 cals. 2 weeks on keto and lost 3 kg. Obviously some water weight, however I feel a lot fuller naturally. I used a cal counter and I averaged 1600 cals a day. Dont under eat fats. Dont over eat protein as it turns into glucose if you over eat it.

I would say it’s more time vs. distance. Walking a mile and running a mile have there respective benefits. But, running for 30min vs. walking 30min…. this is just a no-brainer.

You say it not about calories In and calories outyour example is that you loose less weight on starvetion mode because your BMR goes down… your augment makes no sense, if your BMR goes down then your calories out go then and as such validates the calories in and out theory. the question is wether you decrease your “calories in” by more than the decrease in “calories out”. furthermore starvation more has greater impact on NEAT than BMR….

I still have the power I need without having curbing my urge for food without making me feel jittery. I use MFP and count my macros. I determined my calorie and macro allotments. Perfect Keto gave me a 1053 calories, Pro 84, Carbs <20, Fat 71 for a 20% deficit. But, I am not losing weight or size. I am IF for 18:6 on two meals a day. I watched your video but none applies to me. I’m a female, 73 years old and cannot exercise due to having Dystonia in my entire back. Thanks for this video. I did IF last fall and lost 20lbs. Doing it again now and not really losing anything. The most likely thing for me is that I’m just not eating enough. I don’t eat junk or snack between meals. But I do fill up at mealtime very quickly and because of the timing of our meals, I end up usually only eating tow meals a day. Hello! I have a question. I’ve been on the keto diet for 1 week now I adapted pretty fast cause I was low carb beforehand. I have no hunger now, do I have to meet my fat recommendation or is that just a number I should stay below! For eg my recommendation is 107 of fat but I can only fit it about 45-50 a day (so full) I try to meet my protein intake and keep my carbs under 20g. Do I have to try to eat more fat?

I increased my workout to 1hr 5 x weekly. Eating healthy..Seems I am only maintaining and not losing. Seems my clothes fit better. Just going to stick with it. Don’t give up everyone. Try increasing your workout intensity or switching up your workout routine. I started that last week and feel better. Also aim for at least 6 1/2 to 8 hours of sleep. Drink plenty of water!

My husband suggested that I walked 10,000 steps, and before I had a moment to think or even walk 10,000 steps for the first time, he suggested I could increase it to 12,000 steps.
However, I have started walking and have now walked over 12,000 steps 4 times this week. I previously tried low carb diets, slim fast, running and walking, YouTube workouts etc etc. Nothing has been more successful than walking 10,000 steps a day. It’s working, I am using Slim Fast still x two shakes a day and a normal meal. Because of the calorie deficit (I burn off 700-900 calories each time I walk) I am loosing weight whoo hoo!

I eat 800 calories a day of pure nuts. 200 each of Macadamia, walnut, pecan, and almonds. Without it, I can’t hit my calorie, or fat #’s. I’ve been stuck at 240, for 2ish weeks, but I’ve noticed that my waist has been decreasing, even tho my weight hasn’t.

I was stalled for almost 3 weeks. I tried everything from eating more fat, eliminating foods, etc. Finally I gave up and thought screw it and almost doubled my calories (still maintaining the 60/30/10 macros). Ate like that on Wednesday and woke up Thursday 3 lbs lighter so ate the increased number of calories again on Thursday and woke up this morning another 1.2 pounds down. As long as the scale is moving that much I’m going to stick to the higher calorie consumption (nothing crazy like 1,400). Maybe the fiber was keeping me full but my body was wanting extra nutrients. Who knows. Kind of a lucky accident.

Just try to eat as clean as possible. As far as calories I like to use the lose it app and track my calories. I weigh everything I eat to make sure I eat 1500 calories for the day. 6 days a week I do 45 minutes of cardio just to get an extra 530 calories of cushion to add. To my daily caloric intake. I like the 4 hour eating window. I’ve been dropping over 2 pounds a week and I feel great. My go to food is overnight oats. Beats the hell out of a meal replacement shake. Then a big supper.

…yeah I’m sorry but I’ve said this for awhile and I’m really coming to see it as it is. The weight loss industry is a billion dollar industry for a reason. If it were just as simple as calorie in/calorie out, exercise and strength training then we’d all be slim with no issue. There are many factors that play into the scientific equation of weight loss, the biggest being genetics. What we eat on a regular basis (“healthy food” included) doesn’t help much either with the many hormones and additives that are injected in our foods.

I just found your video and I wanted to let you know that it was a huge help. I am coming up on my one year anniversary of my lifestyle change. I have a Christian YouTube channel and the Holy Spirit was telling me that our bodies are created by God which are temples and I am 5 foot 7 and I weighed 260 pounds at one time so I was so overweight. I have lost over 50 pounds but I work out six days a week and I have added a lot of muscle. I’m 53 years old and I found muscles I haven’t seen in years and I love the way I look. I feel great but for the last four months I have not been able to lose any weight. Now of course my diet is strictly chicken tunafish some vegetables and I do cheat every once in a while. Like I said I work out six days a week and every single one of those days I do cardio with my weightlifting. Keto works great for me. My wife? Not so much. We have been on strict keto since 11/01/19. I’m 60 lbs lighter. She has only lost 10 lbs. She is pushing 300lbs. Something ain’t right. I am stuck on keto. I started keto and my goal was 90 pounds (normal for my height) I loved it and I went from 112 to 108 in two days I stuck with if for 4 months and nothing was changing. I lowered my net carbs, cut out dairy, and closely watched my macros and calories. I came off it over 1 month by dropping my fats super low and eating more protein. I faded in my carbs slowly but I gained 9 pounds. I was so sad and started freaking because I didn’t want to “be fat again” (I started at 145 pound and got to 112. But I did not lose that weight healthy. I ate 50-200 calories a day) I when back on keto and lost 6 pounds

Now I am at 123 and just want to give up keto but I know I will gain weight and because I gained 12 ish pounds I am now in the overweight category. I really just want to do keto and have it work. The only other way I can lose weight is eat less than 200 calories day. My macros are 1151 Calories, 52 grams of protein, and 94 grams of fat.

I have lost 32 lbs. since July and still have 30 pounds to go. I was on abilify and I think it has ruined my metabolism. I would excersise over 2 hours a day and diet on a clean keto vegan diet. I have hit a plateau and have weighed the same for 3 months. Could pushing myself at the gym until I am vomiting from back pain every week be the stress doing it? I am disabled. I have been eating healthy but it doesn’t matter the weight won’t come off now. I am still very unhappy at this weight.

I eat one meal and I eat very clean, If I eat more than one meal my stomach feels like it’s about to pop. I’ve tried eating more but it doesn’t feel good at all, it’s so uncomfortable and can’t seem to lose weight. I also drink a moderate amount of water daily and sleep a good amount of hours. Any tips??

Hi, I do not overeat fat, don’t eat nuts, cream, of any other snacks, etc. the only fat sources I use are coconut oil, olive oil en MCT oil echt one tablespoon a day. I also fast for 23 hours but I DONT LOSSE weight. This is really frustrating and I begin to loss the motivation. I am also in ketosis…whats here going on? plz help me.

Great video with lots of good information. I have been in ketosis for 2 straight weeks (test several times each day) and not losing much weight and none at all in the second week. I have relied on peanuts and cheese for snacking which was two of the first things you mentioned to cut out or lower consumption. I am going to do that immediately to see how much that helps. thank you.
We have walked and hiked for years and we have encourage everyone to do it for 32 years.
I do all my walking in the morning. 1-2 hours everyday. I do the rebounder several times a day when I am at home. I’m retired. I do ad a little running during my walk when I feel like it.
This was my 3rd day on keto diet.

In morning
1.1 chees slice with 1 egg omelette in butter.
2.3 hard boiled eggs.
In lunch
1 cup of black coffee with 1 tablespoon of ghee and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter.
Dinner
Spinach cooked and 60 g of paneer.
In hole day I drink around 2 leter water with 1 lemon with hole skin in the botel an till I finish water.

Generally, I have coffe around 6am (MCT, butter, I tbsn heavy wpngg cream) and then nothing but lemon water until lunch at 130-ish. Before lunch my ketones ae just between.8 and 1.4 ketones on my blood. Never higher! Once I eat.. no more ketones on my blood at all until the next day.. What I’m I doing wrong. I keep carbs under 25 daily, now for 2 or 3 weeks. Why don’t I see more ketones?.and no Ketones between meals? Glucose is stable between 80 and 125 post-meals
well I would measure my waistline but I had a tummy tuck recently and the gosh-darn surgeon left a pile of fat on each end of my waistline so I try not to look at it. But yes I am so glad you you address this you’re the only one that I’ve seen that really addressed this question on YouTube kudos to you!

I have been in a stall the last 2 weeks and can’t seem to break it. I haven’t changed my eating habits. I’m sticking to no more than 15 carbs a day and from natural things like veggies, calculating macros to have 75-80% fat and moderate protein and around 1500 calories or less a day. So frustrating. I know I’m in Keto because I’ve tested properly for it and it shows a large amount of Ketones. My waist isn’t changing either.:(
I go to the gym 5 days a week and I do keto diet didn’t lose any weight BUT I know I lost some inches on me… so, what is the up with that?
I have been on keto for 6 months. I’ve lost 15 pounds. I have lost no weight for 2 months. I’ve brought my calories progressively lower and increased exercise. I’m now down to 2600 calories a day despite burning well over 4000 daily. Some days, I’m over 5000. I’m 252 pounds, 6’5″ and super active. I exercise 12-15 hours a week.
My biggest gripe is that while I’ve lost 15 pounds my waist measurement has not shrunk at all. In fact, I did a carb up a month ago for a sports event and the next day my waist measurement dropped 1″ in one day. Once I was back in ketosis the 1″ came right back.
I don’t think it’s possible to lose body fat and gain muscle to the point where the scale stays the same. Most likely the person not losing weight is in a calorie surplus.
I’m having a tough morning so I watched this video. Today is my second week of full Keto. Last Saturday I felt amazing. Down 8 pounds and I took my first measurements. Today I gained 4 pounds and a bout an inch all over. In one week. I’m in tears.

My wife and I have slowly graduated to eating only dinner. We now do not feel hungry throughout the day and have excellent clear energy. We have coffee in the morning with grass fed butter and cinnamon (to lower blood sugar) and that forces our bodies deeper into ketosis. We also work out for two hours around noon, then spend the rest of the day burning body fat until we eat dinner. Its amazing how powerful this process is. You will lean out very quickly

I have lost 70 very easy in 1.3 years and have no problem to eat what I should if I just new what that should be totally to loose further. My craving are gone and hunger, can go along time with out feeling hungry and eat very small amount of meals. Trying to cut my protien a bit and will stop any extra fat such as BPC now and see what happens 2 more month to be with cast and cant do much.

I just got a generic Fitbit from Amazon on June 1st I got about 6700 step that day and then from June 2nd on I got about 20,000 steps but I felt like that was unrealistic it’s only because I’m home more now and a lot of times I am getting my walking done I’ll walk for 2 hours and get all of my steps in where I might walk around my house pacing so this was good

I use Ketone blood test strips for 15 months now. At first I lost 6-8 kilos a month but over the last 6 months I slowed down to nothing.Body recomposition was one cause,I have put on tons of muscle,BUT my ketone readings fell to 0.1,practically out of ketosis.In desperation I increased my fasts dramatically.I did a 40,30 and 54 hour fast over six days and my ketone readings jumped to 1.7.I also lost 4.4 kg in 6 days.Obviously I was eating too much.It is vital that you eat only when you are hungry and stop when satiated.The fasts were easy.I replaced all meals with a cappucino and dinner was a handful of almonds.I can fast easily for long periods but run into the problem of plummeting blood glucose,hypoglycemia,causing dizziness and tiredness forcing me to eat.I intend to start making bone broth to keep the hypoglycemia at bay.I’m down 55kg(120 lbs?) in 15 months on Keto.But it is no magic bullet diet.Intermittent Fasting is vital and you must reduce your calories as you shed the fat.

Is it walking on the spot counted to this video? I mean, we’re in quarantine. We can actively everyday go outside and walk. And I can stand walking on treadmill, it’s boring like crazy. To keep moving, I walk on the spot while watching TV. I think, hei…it’s better to do at least this instead of enjoying watching TV and doing nothing.
