What is a good time for Isabel? According to the WOD Time Calculator, a good time to beat for Regional athletes is 2:11, for advanced athletes 3:24 and for beginners 6:40. All these times consider that you can power snatch 135/95 lbs for 30 reps.
If that is not a case, you should probably scale down the weight to about 80% off your 1 RM power snatch.Good Times for “Isabel” – Beginner: 6-7 minutes – Intermediate: 4-6 minutes – Advanced: 3-4 minutes – Elite: <2 minutes. The irony here is that the majority of the comments are derogatory, yet I would be willing to bet that the VAST majority of those making the comments couldn’t snatch 225 lbs once…Incidentally for those of you who have never watch an Olympic weight lifting event…They also always DROP the weight to the ground after a successful lift…
I’m not one for leaving comments on YouTube, and I don’t do crossfit myself I’m more of a 1 rep max kinda guy now but still don’t get the hatred, its guys having fun, for many years I raced motocross and got pretty good too, fucked my back up, my shoulders lost count of the bones I broke, but you don’t see people commenting on mx videos like “that shits bad for you” I see what people are saying, but these guys don’t care what the haters have to say so why bother

You can really tell the difference in terms of power vs endurance if you watch both videos.

Isabel is 135#. Eddie Hall did 61kg. 135 lbs > 61 kg. This guy technically retains WR at 135 lbs.

In the Olympics, when they do the big lift they always drop the bar after. However, at Planet Fitness you can safely rest assured all day that even the slightest grunt will have someone sent out the door and on their way, cushions on the racks too probably… So its merely a question of which end of the scale are you on.

I am a former national caliber OL. OL and CF unite! 30 102kg snatches in about 6 minutes are impressive as heck. CF is giving OL a lot of recognition it isn’t getting on its own, that’s for sure. We’re in this together. OL’s are stronger, CF’s are in better cardio shape but also strong let’s coexist and help let the world know we are both badass people in our common sports!

Crossfit is more about showing the world that being physically active can be fun. Most people dont like going to gyms because of “meat heads” and other guys who ruin gyms with poor ethics which scare away all new people. Obviously this is still considered working out, physically straining, and improves muscle tone so why hate on it? Its fitness. Let people workout. Let that one person who is too afraid to go to a regular gym get fit the way he wants. Your just being an asshole denying his right to achieve a body he/she always wanted.
