If you have questions? Like how the fuck do I actually open my fascia?
I have had a knee replacement and now they want to replace my hip and I don’t want it. On the same leg. between my hip and knee replacement my thigh burns and hurts awful. I just started your advice to stretch my hip socket, no relief yet, but I am still trying and watching ALL your advice, videos. It is nice to see how you both get along so well too.
Thank you so much for this video! It’s exactly what I needed.
So how do you “open” your facia, and how do you know when it is “open?”
I”ll practice from morning.. now I’m in a severe hip pain..
Absolute garbage video. People that click on these videos need help, not BS. You are doing a disservice to the YouTube community.
Other than opening their fascia system, many people use chi to protect their joints.
Thank you so much, my doctor just diagnosed me with bursitis in my left thigh. The pain can be unbearable at times. Excited to try your stretching and will start walking with a cane. I have arthritis in my spine upper and lower.
Heey, very interesting, my question how if we’re going downhill? I’ll practice your techniques ❤❤❤❤
I just completed a month and a half of physical therapy. I am 76. I went because of pain in my left hip. I was having great difficulty walking, up hill and stairs were extremely painful. They were never able to definitively figure out if it is arthritis or bursitis. I do the stretches and strength building everyday plus cold laser. I am 90% better. I still have some pain if I take a walk for 1 hour or go up hill. I am in good shape, have always worked out and was walking many miles a week before the pain hit. My question is: even if it hurts some when I walk should I just keep going or should I stop?
I had a knee replacement, 6 months ago & I hit the side of my knee on a church pew pretty hard 3 months ago. My knee is swelling up & is hot, very very sore. Some sore underneath. What exercise would help with the osin.
Woow the video, tysm i knew I was walking wrong hurting me knees
I appreciate your videos so much…. great information. I haven’t been able to find any exercises for shoulder pain caused by an impengment caused by a spur. Can you help me with that? My orthopedic puts a steroid shot in my shoulder when my arm starts locking up.
Check Unflexal handbook if you want to learn about workouts much much more.
Can you talk about dislocating after surgery. Especially if the patient has cerebral palsy. And talk about it’s important to keep the muscles strong in those areas hip flexor muscles
My hip hurts more when I’m off it at night. I can hike 8 miles no problem, so movement feels good. but watching you guys, I did the easy tests and have lack of external rotation. Can arthritis only hurt at night? It wakes me up.
I love ❤️ I am 87 and I’m always glad that you’re able to do great things for us elders
I really enjoy watching you two. You’re so down to earth. I have arthritis. I have had both hips replaced and a recent knee arthroscopy. I have been trying to keep up-with your suggested exercises. Thank you.
How do we replicate this when wearing shoes even running shoes? I have a knee joint problem is this suitable for me?
The real history here is that you had an injury and it healed. get back to the doctor and now check your brain injury
What about hip pain caused by a ligament going over the lesser trochanter?
You guys rock! I am a 74 yo very active female. R hip has been bothering me for about six weeks, finally went to Dr, awaiting referral OK for PT appointment. Hadn’t slept well for several nights, watched your video yesterday, dd the exercises and used the pillow for side lying L. Slept throughout the night and feel 90% better! I think that the use of the pillow keeps me from rolling back over on the injured side and waking up in pain. Most greatful.
I really appreciate your videos! So informative! What is the name of this pedal equipment you all used for arthritis? What brand? I’d like to get one.
I am 54. I need a hip replacement because of arthritis. What hurts me the most is my sciatica nerve down my right leg. I hope this helps me. Thanks
Osteophytes are created from the ‘grinding’? I have ‘space’ in my joint but tons of pain
Thank you Bob & Brad. Very helpful videos. I love the stretching you show us.
You guys are the best! So educational and also funny! Just followed you on FB as well. I was wondering what you think of the Teeter freestep? I have ileac Crest pain(frontal), Sciatica, as well as arthritis of side hip bones. After watching this now I’m wondering if you can have arthritis and bursitis of the hip joint simultaneously. Anyway this video has left me in a quandary. I was thinking the movement of the Teeter freestep machine (which is similar to the stepper machine you demonstrated in this video) would be good as you stated arthritis improves with exercise, but then you stated bursitis does not like hip movement. Anyway I had a trip off a sidewalk years ago that left my SI joint a mess. One leg always shrinks up a bit and I have to do PT exercises to reset it and make it even to other leg length. Of course this affects everything down to bottom of the foot pain. Would love to get some exercise for calorie burn and strengthening but don’t know where to begin. I’m so excited to have found your channel! Will be following and learning all your PT exercises that fit my needs. I know you can’t diagnose me but can you please just give me your general advice on my questions. I know I have to run it all by my doc first. So please just let me know how you feel about the Teeter machine and my issue about Arthritis and Bursitis, ileac crest pain, etc. Thank you guys! Your the best!
What about hip bursitis combined with avascular necrosis and a ripped IT band?
Wish they would produce a video of exercises for THR posterior and anterior. Some of these would dislocate your hip depending on what approach you had
Love you guys, these are wonderful exercises and excellent information. Bless you both!
My doctor says I have hip bursitis but also around my knee hurts
I’ve been told by my Doctor that I have hip Bursitis. It’s very painful when standing from a sitting position.
I can only sleep on my back but then my back stiffens up which adds to the pain. I’m 77 and wondering if there are any exercises
I can do which will cure this. I take Ibuprofen, but don’t really want to be on those permanently.
I just recently found out that I will need a hip replacement at some point. I heard that walking and exercise is good for a bone to bone hip joint. Sometimes the pain shoots all the way down my leg. Other times I feel okay.
I just subscribed to your channel and will trying walking probably. I will try anything to help alleviate pain and stiffness.
Thank you for your suggestions.
I did the stretches for bursitis and was able to bear weight without pain immediately! I think the posterior stretch did the most, the others were painful.
Thank you so much, for all your free help, God Bless you both, Karen
I have inner right groin pain, what can I do to decrease the pain? It even was extremely painful just walking
I do have osteoarthritis…
Please help me..are there any exercises that will help?
EXCELLENT description about bursitis. You have helped immensely.
If you want you can learn from Unflexal instructions how to do workouts correctly.
This is an old video, but it has helped me tremendously! Thank you so much.
You show an exercise for the hip abductors. I would like to see an exercise for the hip adductors as well.
I have both Bursitis and Arthritis I have Bursitis in my Right Hip and I have Arthritis in Both of my Knees
Maybe somebody here could help me out. Since joining college, I have lived a very sedentary lifestyle and have gained maybe 30 pounds. Recently, I have noticed that my right hip is very tight. It doesn’t hurt, but its tight and annoying. The best way I can describe it is that I always want to pop it. This has been going on for about 5 months now. My left hip felt that way for about a month, but one day when I was getting out of the chair, it popped, and I have never really had a problem since. However, my right leg never got so lucky, and I am waiting for the”magical pop” that will make it feel normal again. First of all, do you have any idea what this might be? And second of all, am I wrong for wanting to pop it?
This is a nice elaboration on your 2013 video on treating hip bursitis. I still like the earlier video for its simplicity. KISS
Man, my facia seems opened up just from watching this video! Can I buy your product?
I have hip displaysia with hip arthritis. It’s very painful. Can you help me? Please.
Joint pain due to kidney disease drink nettel tea and heel your kidneys with keto diet and Acv.
Hi Brad and Bob, can you tell me what the pillow you put under your legs is called again please, I use a normal pillow and it does help but would like to try and buy the one your using. I love to hear what you have to say about everything, your both the bestThank you both.
Unfortunately, I can’t cross my legs. I’ve got hip Arthritis. I’d like to have more external rotation.
I have bursitis of both hips that flares, improve, then flares again, years ago I received a series of steroid shots, but the ortho dr. was afraid to give me any more, because it could rupture. I like to do aerobics either going for walks or ride my stationary bike. Now I realize both are probably causing my flares! Any suggestions to get some cardio in?
Pool work has made all the difference for me. I do all the exercises in the water and many of them I could not do on land. Many thanks for all your help, Bob and Brad <3
The content is good, but didactically the video is lousy. First of all, it should separate arthritis and hip bursitis. Secondly, the filming is bad, not showing the parts the men are talking about, e.g., toes and feet. Thirdly, the men speak in the mouth of each other. If one does not know that the presenters are famous, it would be hard to believe it… There are other videos which are much clearer.
Hip surgery, October 1, 19. My glute is very tight and the front of my thigh
I had been doing the first stretch or figure4 for my back for a long time and love it, but have not been able to do it since my hip started hurting so what gives. It hurts to put my leg out to the side
one of the best videos ever guys. Especially all your demonstrations, even those various ones at the end-
I wish I could cross my leg like that. What if you can’t do that?
Oh the suffering.
Its quite exhausting waiting for death, isnt it?
I cannot use a cane, I used one after hip surgery and I ended up getting a shoulder impingement! I will restart stretching exercises. My hips are getting so weak. Thanks guys.
What about carrying packages.I have pain in hip n legs and feel off balance.i got two tears in my left rotator cuff.
Is there an English version of this video? Seriously, how does one “open their fascial system”???
Hello, in trying this walk I find myself loosing my balance quit a bit. But I will continue to practice. Thank you
My left groin hurts worse than hip. Goes down leg, left leg shorter than right. My groin is worse
Thank you for being so kind and providing this video for all of us, many many hugs!!!!
Used Unflexal workouts and learn about it without problems 😉
What if you also have an arthritic knee on the same side as the sore hip?How can you do some of those excersizes without hurting your knee?
At 60 my osteopath did an injection for bursitis and told me to use cane for 2 weeks. I was compliant at work and home. Has not flared in 4 years
Can you have both arthritis and bursitis in the same hip? My pain suddenly increased with sone very cold weather and is diminishing a bit with warmer weatherthe pain is at the outside point not in the groinI am also a bit confused about which excersizes are good for hips, and which for bursitis-guess I will have to watch again to see! I do have arthritis in the same side knee…
I have sciatica and arthritis it’s very painful it makes me cry
very helpful video. You said biking and running and aggravate or cause this kind of injury. Ccan you comment about hat kind of aerobic exercises are OK when recovering from trochanter injuries?
I have bursitis and arthritis in both hips. Is it ok to do these stretches for both?
I just love your videos! SO helpful, and you’re fun, too!:)
Why doesn’t Bob have his hand fixed? It has to bother him…
A leg wedge, used for an extended time, caused a blood clot in my calf just where the support ends.
I love this show. They both are so informative and funny and fun.❤
Just found your channel, and I would watch it for entertainment value even if you didn’t have so much valuable information. I’m from Michigan, and I love your midwestern accents! Thanks for the helpful videos!
Thanks again guys. Over the years your content has been a great resource!
Rachel, Rachel,.. I have watched several of your videos and, you explain exceptionally simply, with clarity, backed up with explanations!
I was an avid long distance runner and even now prefer walking everywhere, except, somewhere along the way, I began to tense my entire body to hold my self up! Resulting in excruciating pain daily for more than 7 years and feeling like my entire body was twisted on one side, forward, the other side BACKWARD! Suffering breathing problems, completely, blocked facial airways, buttock pain, psis pain, knee pain, hip, neck, shoulder and head pain..
Spent a fortune on seeing every type of therapist i could think of..
But, just following your detailed videos has helped me understand with clarity, what I am doing wrong!
So all in all, keep up the fantastic work! And, thank you so much. Regards laila
Thank you so much for this video. I need to learn how to walk again.
Bob & Brad, please comment on the effect of unequal leg lengths on hip arthritis and bursitis. Will heel lifts in your shoes help to manage the pain? I have this problem and am experimenting with these.
Depending on how it hurts, I use a wedge, pillow, and or cane. I also have a peddler but when it hurts, I just want it to STOP!
But shouldn’t a healthy body on a good diet-(clean eating) and exercises-keep synovial fluid replenished?
It sounds like I have bursitis. I sit all the time for my job and lately, the hip pain has almost become unbearable. I’m trying to get up and stretch every few hours, but then I go right back to sitting. Any advice?
Good info, tore my ACL about 20 years ago. Still doing good, and I work hard everyday, doing a little preparing for my hike starting in Georgia The beginning of april. Thanks again! And yes the booty looks good! haha!

Thanks to youtube and the doctors, it’s crazy, I was very active, outdoors type, but in my teens, i had that pain problem in my hip, leg
And, After 60 plus years I find out what that pain was, that band rubbing when I use to waltz, was that ever painful, but, I never said a word, just suffered it out. We didn’t run to the doctors back in the day. I’m glad I finally found out this information altho’ i no longer waltz
