Props this is CLEARLY an ass kicker you can see her legs just burning up lol yet she’s still pushing thru. I’ll probably take more 30 second breaks than her but no longer.
I have been trying to do this and I felt that she is super fast in completing those 10 reps. When I try to do 10 reps of anything it takes me twice as much time as her. Its almost like I have set the video speed to be on x1.5 atleast.
Does she have a more advanced one of these for abs and arms?
Does this help build muscle? I’m already skinny fat (look skinny but have a lot of flab) so I’m not trying to lose anymore weight just trying to build some muscle

Just finished this workout. Not for beginners thats for sure. Didnt need to take many breaks in between but thats only cuz ive been working out for 10 months now. So finished it in around 32 mins id say. And boy does it get your heart pumping. Legs are jelly. Will continue doing all the workouts. Would anyone like updates?

Really good workout I’m sweating like crazy BUT each move is super hard to complete a full rep bc the transitions are way too fast. Instead of 10 reps I would do 8 to give myself time to get to the next move. The power of editing lol

I could not make the two weeks. The problem for me was all the jumping and my joins started to hurt really bad. I had so many problems with my feet and the program was really stressing me out

I actually paid for BBG for a year and the irony of this video so crazy because it explains so much. I thought it was just me not being able to control myself when it came to eating. I do her 3 workouts plus walking or HIIT on two other days so everything you said I relate to because I see a little muscle forming but I still have a gut because I can’t control the cravings!! I paid for the program until next April so I’m not sure what I’ll do. I may just two do of her “resistance” days and try to incorporate just regular weight training on two other days from an at home plan I have. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Kinda mad I wasted that money loll I thought I was doing myself a favor because I knew paying in full would make me more committed. But I also don’t wanna waste any more time because I want to see a difference in my body. I already love you so much!
Loved this workout so much! Definitely not for beginners and way too fast lol I wish they could say when she was switching workouts and leave time to switch over because I like using the timer. I may just use my watch next time and write the workout down.

I’m a beginner and, while I found some of the moves a bit advanced for me, I tried my best to modify it. TWO DAYS LATER I am still feeling it in my obliques, my abs and my chest! AWESOME WORKOUT!

decent workout but HORRIBLE video. same song for 28 minutes. the exercises are way to fast and its clearly edited because there is absolutely zero time to switch from your back to your knees or from your knees to your feet. there are no explanations for any of the exercises and also no cues to switch.

I completed this workout today and boy was it a workout my whole body was aching after it, but in a good way! Thank you!
to be fair bbg only has the “hiit” style training 3 times a week (not 6-7 times like you stated); you do LISS the rest of the time, which is “low intensity” cardio (and is incredibly good for your cardiovascular system and to recover from the tougher workouts!) you’re not meant to go hard on those days (4/7!) also, yes bodyweight work has its limits, but in this program you ARE building total body strength! the average person will get significantly stronger e.g even being able to do 15-20 full push ups requires a lot of upper body and core strength! & plyometrics also obviously strengthen muscles… hypertrophy-style training isn’t the be all and end all when it comes to building strength, fitness and improving overall health:))

Reds a queue for when exercise changes. Shut it off after first 7 minute session. I could keep up, just didn’t see when to change when I’m doing push-ups and can’t see the tv.
I finished all 12 weeks BBG, never thought I would as the burpees killed me every time. Now im starting it all again and on day 1 today. Thanks Tereza for uploading and you made amazing progress, I have more strength, my legs, arms and abs are muscly without a doubt but I didnt get the results I wanted, still some fat I want to burn so here we go again!!!!
You shouldn’t eat only plants if You don’t need to. if your body is fine with meat and you don’t have any illnesses that prevent you from eating meat, then you should eat it.

I literally loathe it when certain fitness girls label a workout as ‘long lean legs’. I’m 5ft zero and I have thick-set legs. I’m never going to have long lean legs. My friend was doing a workout religiously because the YouTuber had labelled it something like, ‘Get legs like Kendall Jenner’ and was upset because she didn’t get legs like Kendall. I had to sit her down and explain the math.

I’m 5’2″ and consuming 1400 cal per day, and I have been doing your beginners week program. I have to admit though, part of my calorie consumption is 2 glasses of chardonnay a day. I love a glass or two of wine after a long day! But I wonder, how much does it REALLY hold me back from progress? Do you have any insight? The switching of exercises is not practical. As a beginner I haven’t even competed the first set and she’s onto to the third.

Am I the only one thats sees that this type of training is wrong? Her legs are too skinny, obliques too big (and she has belly fat too). I’m not trying to body shame anyone, but she looks anything but healthy and athlete like.
This is actually one of the best fitness video I have ever seen! crazy that this is your first one. Amazing idea to do it during the whole process, it feels like we were doing this with you: so glad for you and your amazing results in a short period of time and especially not counting calories!!! I absolutely loved it!
It’s funny the moment I switched to weights, I’m building more muscle mass and losing fat at the same time on my fitbit progress chart…my weight loss is slow and steady whereas…the moment I did more cardio based exercise part of my routine and only 1.5 hr weights + 5× 1hr 9-11mph running in a week, my weight drops exponentially, I’m hungry all the time, I’m skinny fat and still not muscle at all. The scale isnt everything and cardio is exhausting. I understand your frustration. I dropped 10 kg in a year doing something similar and I didn’t look any different to how I was before. I actually felt weaker in energy levels. I just wanted to sleep after workouts and would be hungry when I went to bed. Besides I was obsessed with calorie burn during workouts those days where cardio seems trump weights on that. Never again. Lift weights-after burn is always great! Plus you will reach for the right foods and your clothes will fit better!!
I’m doing the “21 day fix” (without the eating plan). I went from 165 kg to 110( I’ve done it for 4 months instead of 21 days since it was such a fun and easy program for me). honestly I recommend everyone to try it, even heavy people like myself.

I love Kayla’s workouts but this video is way too fast! I had to put pause several times because you don’t count installation time between exercices. This is definetly not a begginers video.
I hate to give a negative critique but…this is extremely hard to follow. After a while it became overly repetitive plus the music started to get annoying. I had to stop halfway through! There are some effective moves here however there is no instruction or coaching and barely any encouragement. There is also no mention of safe technique and proper form, two REALLY important things (especially for those newer to exercise). Please consider actually TEACHING in order to better help participants be safe & stay motivated! Good luck to you!

The first 11 mins I was dead, I was not feeling my legs, I did a 20 mins break then and I started again until the end without breaks. It was really painful and now I’m feeling dead and I’m so tired, but it really helped me to drink more water as I drink only 1 or 2 glasses of water every day. Thanks❤. hey guys! I just started doing this program and I finished week 1. I want to do all twelve weeks and I also want to keep you updated on what I think of this program/my results.
week 1 day 1: This was the hardest workout of the week in my opinion. I generally workout 3-4 times a week but not at this intensity and my muscles were sooo sore after this even though I stretched at the end. It is definitely an intense and demanding workout, but as I said I was not used to workout at this pace and before starting this program I had a week where I didn’t workout at all.
week 1 day 2: a day after week 1 day 1, my legs were trembling whenever I tried to do anything at all:))) day 2 felt easier for me, probably because of day 1, but I still feel the soreness of my arms this time. I don’t exactly know how to stretch my arms properly since the stretches I did were not targeting muscles that I never felt sore in my life:))) BUT I already feel a bit stronger(I know, early to say, but this program gives me high hopes so far)
week 1 day 3: still sore in my arms, barely able to put on shirts but well:)))) This workout has been waay easier but not because the exercises are easy(they are still TOUGH AF) but rather because this workout kind of recycles moves from day 1 and day 2 and I kinda got used to them. I now don’t feel sore in the muscles I felt sore before, but my arms(my biceps or triceps) are still very sore and it boggles me cause I don’t know how to stretch those muscles. Scratch on the head for that. I also had to modify after round 1 exercises like the push ups and burpees but that is solely because I don’t have the strength yet. I tried to do them properly tho as many times as I could before getting tired and losing form.
Overall this program is demanding, but I think we’re off for a good start. I heard so many good things about it and so many said they really lost a lot of weight and that only motivates me to complete it and see if it is worth it and if all this struggle and hard work will pay off.

your insecurities jump out in this videoespecially the part about “Australian tall model” which if you did research Kayla is a shirt girl and not a model. she teaches ladies to be strong and if you looked further then her older program you would see her growth. she’s being a trainer longer then you and has many more programs on sweat beside “BBG”. you should have gone deeper or tried it again. also it nowhere states to do the HIIT workouts 7 days a week. It’s says to do them around 3 or 2 and the rest is just walking or running which is fine and healthy. if you wanted something with more weights you could have got the app and swapped the program. don’t blame this on your height because you were too hungryjust try make more balanced meals and I don’t believe you would have being eating from her meal plan either, where she promotes healthy but reasonable/affordable meals.
This bbg was the first program i did 3 years ago when i started my weight loss journey and I lost about 9kgs just by doing these workouts and skipping dinner for 12 weeks.
I stopped doing them because i had reached my goal weight. They really improved my core strength and overall body strength. Its not easy I was exhausted and literally thought I was going to pass out by the end of each video
I really recommend doing these if you are into intense cardio/ HIIT for quick weight loss and fat loss. Its probably not the best program for those who want to maintain their weight and gains.

What about gymnasts? They are petite and do a similar body weight only type of conditioning. They don’t do any cardio. They just use their own body weight for the skills they do and no weights. They are very lean and very muscular. I think when it just comes down to it is that petite women are just simply sometimes built stockier than other women ( and nothing wrong with that) and no matter what exercise(s) you do it is simply your muscle /fat genetic homeostatic composition. The body likes to stay where it’s comfortable. You will just never be thin/skinny and that’s ok! That’s not exactly the only kind of great figure out there. Just curious, did you ever get a thyroid (TSH) test done?
The exercises are great, but this moves way too fast. There’s no way to do the reps she’s got listed. She starts in position every time. Getting into position burns rep time. I feel like I’m stressed trying to keep up.
Squats-10 reps
Half burpees-10 reps
Side crunches -10 reps per side
Bent leg raises-10 reps
BREAK
Raised leg sit-ups -10 reps
Lay down push ups on knees-10 reps
Mountain climbers-20 reps
Reverse lunges -10 reps
I actually have to stop at 19 minutes because I wasn’t smart enough to warm up and my right thight is starting to hurt pretty seriously

It looks like some people in the comments don’t get it so let me break it down:
Petite women have to lose weight at a slower and steadier pace than taller people in order to grow a SUSTAINABLE lifestyle.
I am 5’1. On a VERY active day I MIGHT hit a calorie expenditure of 1700. That’s including 7000 steps, going up and down stairs, working out with a personal trainer at a competitive gym, etc. On average, it’s closer to 1600.
In order to lose a lb a week, I need to eat at a caloric deficit of 500 calories. So if maintenance were 1600, that will put me at 1100 calories a day of food. No one should eat less than 1200 a day unless prescribed by a Dr. for extreme weight loss goals. Therefore, I am really only eating at a deficit of 400 a day.
Cardio many times a week will make us SO hungry that 1200 calories will feel like much less due to having less fuel to burn. It’s a vicious cycle that quickly destroys muscle, messes up your hormones, and causes your body to cling to fat. Even the smallest snack will set back progress against calories in vs calories out. It’s terrible mentally to endure.
The optimal plan is at max 2 HIIT sessions a week and strength training in between, with LISS or Yoga on your off days for recovery. Strength training is important because more muscle means you’re burning fat steadier throughout the day. HIIT should be supplementary to daily fat burning caused by muscle recovery after strength training. HIIT gets your blood flowing and your cardio in a good spot, while strength training causes the actual growth and repair of muscle which builds the toned and lean look we all want.
So, to circle back to the beginning. Someone who is 5’4 or 5’5 might burn closer between 1900 and 2000 calories a day at the same fitness level. There is MUCH more wiggle room both in food and exercise which is why these plans work best out of the box for people of those heights. Yes, those extra inches make a big difference.
You cannot brute force your health. It will catch up to you sooner or later.

I can recommend Lucy Wyndham Read for Hiit workouts that are short 7 min and full 20 min workout.
All her vids have modifications for true beginners and workouts for different body shapes. I’ve honestly lost weight got fitter better motivated to workout.
I have now moved on to T25 and Heather Robertson on You tube.
Also check out Heather if you want next level challenge after the benefits of Lucy Wyndham Read’s channel. BTW I still go back to some of hers on those days when fatigue is like a wall.
The amount of free workouts these two ladies have shared on this platform is enough to get fit by.

Good video to share your own experience. I’m petite 5’2 and I actually gain weight when lifting weights and lose weight when doing bbg. It just works for my body. So I think it is sustainable for certain body types. Saying that you should only be doing hiit once a week may apply to some but not all. Just wanted to add my own experience.
I love Kayla’s exercise routines. Her body is tonned in a very femenine way.

I love your videos but there’s a couple of things that aren’t right in this… Kayla herself is only about 5’4, and the HIIT component isn’t 6-7 days per week, it’s 3-4 with LISS and rest on other days. That said, I agree with the comments re: the monotony of it and the exercises not changing with the PDF guide! Just found your channel and love the short girl focus! I’m 164cm/5’4 and it’s great to see some tailored info!
I love the bbg program. I only do the strength training and skip cardio. If I add cardio I have to eat sooo much, it’s not funny anymore. So this is my 2nd time doing the program, doing it 2-3 times a week, on week 10 now. I really start seeing and feeling results and getting stronger. Especially my legs feel so much tighter and getting more shape, even the skin is smoother. For reference, I’m 170cm/62kg/31yr

Sooo good. My roommate did have a version of something of Kayla’s that had deadlifts and heavier squats in it? Maybe BBG Stronger? But I think most people benefit from working with an actual coach, especially if they are new to fitness…like my roommate was. She had me go to the gym with her to make sure her form was right because this wasn’t addressed in the program! lol. PS. I second the Tracy Anderson review suggestion

I wish the editing had taken into account that people are following along to this workout, not just watching it. Transitions are way too fast, I have to put the video on 0.75 speed…For a huge fitness platform I don’t understand how there is no auditory cue that we are switching up exercise, or at least the name of the following exercise on screen. Overall exxperience is meh

Coming from a fitness background, this type of basic training is NOT ideal. Her lower half is extremely weak no muscle at all. Her programmes are not ideal.
Finally someone who has my before body type! Before you had thicker thighs but still appeared “skinny” and through working out you got much leaner. That’s exactly my goal, so inspiring!!

This is such a repetitive workout. Gets your heart rate up for sure but personally I do prefer a bit more variety. I found myself doing start jumps to mix it up a bit!

This type of training is perhaps decent for someone who doesn’t know where to start but anyone who has been going to the gym for longer than six months or so knows this is not the most effective way to train! If you want to build any kind of fitness, muscle or shape then this basic resistance training is not going to cut it unfortunately. Her body shape is the result of doing only this type of exercise boxy shape with a wide waist and no butt quads or calves. No hate this is purely observation coming from a fitness background

I assume this workout is for beginners? Never done a ´bootcamp´ workout like this before.
One word BRUTAL! But loved it. I wish you had called out some of the swaps because I wasn’t always watching the video. In the HIIT portion, I felt my neck crack when I transitioned from the abs to the pop squat… aww man, that’s gonna hurt tomorrow. Thank you for such a great workout!
This definitely works up a sweat, but it’s very repetitive and I found myself getting bored. The same song also plays for 30 mins so I muted it in the end and played my own music! It would be nice if Kayla was doing the workout in real-time as it’s not very motivational watching her repeat the same 1 minute clip over and over again. Won’t be retaking this class!

Ive always had “skinny” legs because I was a dancer, and 7 months ago I started going to TRX classes 5 times a week and I started eating healthier. My problem is that ive noticed that the upper part of my inner thighs started to grow, very quickly. At first they told me that it was muscle but it really doesnt look like it. It feels uncomfortable because my thighs never touched when I closed my legs and now they do.
Ive noticed that everytime i do squats (any type of squat), lunges (any type of lunge) and stuff like that the upper part of my inner thighs gets bigger, and its not muscle, i know its not muscle, and i eat healthy i dont understand. the worst thing is that im not noticing any difference in my glutes. please help
A lot of people are confused on what area im talking about and is the highest part of my inner thighs. Like some people have inner thigh fat or muscle but still have like a little space in the upper part of their inner thighs, thats the part that im talking about. i put a bikini on and it just looks bad, i never had it

Love, love it! Thank you, Kayla!!! If she moves too fast for you, just keep it within your own pace. In the beginning, it gives you the sequence of exercises, just do as fast as you can, and keep going for seven minutes. So simple it is, can’t understand what’s the problem.

But it’s ok a lot of people fall in the trap of losing to much weight. What is most important that everyone looks best at a certain thickness, not everyone looks best skinny

If you cant keep count, just count them yourself, its 10 reps each for 7 minutes so you do it at your own pace.
