The Annie CrossFit WOD consists of 50-40-30-20-10 reps for time of: Double Unders (Click links for video.The Annie WOD is one of the Crossfit Girl WODs. For time athletes must complete 50-40-30-20-10 reps of double-unders and sit-ups. Mary is a Crossfit benchmark WOD used to assess an athlete’s progress over time. With sit-ups being a relatively easy bodyweight movement, the challenge with Annie is putting together the double-unders.
The Annie is different, it is ones of the easiest CrossFit girls but you need to get through a few stages before doing Annie as WOD will be no challenge for you! 4 Stages of the Annie It takes long time before Annie will be just another easy CrossFit warm up.The first CrossFit benchmark workouts were introduced in September 2003: Angie, Barbara, Chelsea, Diane, Elizabeth and Fran. These six workouts, as their names suggest, were called “The Girls”. As benchmark workouts, the six girls represent the CrossFit ideal and serve as a way for athletes to benchmark and measure performance over time.

This woman, and all Crossfitter are proof that you don’t need strict parameters to build muscle and there’s no one way to train
dam that’s remind me my first crossfit wod, the only difference is it was 5 ring rows instead of 5pull ups. it might looks easy but the next morning my pectorals, triceps and thigh hurt so muxh i couldn’t barely move for at least a good 3-4 days.
Annie, really motivating how you and Sara are putting everything out there! And you don’t need to win every year’s Games to be an inspiration to 1000s what you are doing for the community with this type of documentation is much more important than doing five reps more or less! Bravo!

Never done crossfit but I started three days ago and average about 18-20 rounds. Pacing is my big issue. I’m used to going all out but, for 20 minutes, I have to say this is extremely difficult.
Hafthor did fantastic! This is not something he trains for at all and he did very well. He could switch and train crossfit and make some noise.
Also, he got to train with Icelandic Annie, the best way to train! Love Annie!

Anne makes it Real Professionell She put that Weight Straight Up and HOLD IT….but in the Contrary to Björn Hafthor he liftet the weight up and doesnt Hold the Weight for even A Second…this was not Correct…You must Hitt the Weight Straight up and Hold or Control the Weight for some Seconds!!!

Sorry, lot of no reps, not fully extended in the snatches (elbows), 50% no 2 feet take-off… sorry, quality over quantity should be the advice… but looking at the judges here… wtf… they are just counting without watching most of the movements. Ridiculous
The form and technique for both was absolutely awful. That is the slowest way to progress. Even if the reps, and time are less, if you have great form, and you go until failure, you will see much more results, faster

I hate the false praise in CrossFit. If your client’s form, technique, attitude, or whatever is bad… tell them. You do them a disservice by telling them “good work” all the time when their work is shit.
Great to see you workout together! Great scores, congrats! I am not so happy with the angle of the video, because now it really appears that many snatches don’t have a full lock-out overhead. Furthermore, the footwork (two feet take-off) does not apply to the movement standards in many reps. Oh yeah, and please BKG, watch the athlete while judging 😉 Keep it up guys! I hope you’ll post more of these Open WODs or other training sessions! All the best!

If Sara did not redo this it will be just sad. He snatches are poor multiple times she never comes close to straightening her arms (and that was just the first 2 rds). Also when she does her burpees on the far side of the bar she brings her left foot up and over before her right leaves the ground. This happens when you jump with feet staggered. But hers is very extreme you can pause it and see her left foot off the ground and her entire right foot flat on the ground. I love Sara but not her best quality. Oh and it would have helped if BKG (her judge) actually watched the reps.

Ruth’s push ups are garbage. This is why Crossfit gets a bad name. Don’t sacrifice form for a better time/score. If she did real push ups her score would be more around 8 rounds.

I’ve never seen the straight leg deadlift variant of a snatch. Very innovative.
Maybe I’m wrong; but I feel like her lower back is pushed inside a notch which makes her belly protrudes even-though she got abs. It maybe becuz of that pressure she puts on her lower back lifting up that bar all time.

Unreal… I’m totally new to the sport with less than a year of experience and did this workout today, completely scaled, and watching this performance just puts me in a state of complete amazement!
Good on ya on for working out. Perhaps you should work on form a bit, it really does make a difference. I learned that from my school football days; they’d let you rest between pushups and pullups, but you had to remain in stance… if you dropped stance (off the bar or lay on the ground) your round of cumulative reps was over.
