The slingshot belts are “broken in” because they are three pieces of thin leather glued together.
I’m sorry nick but the sbd knee sleeves have no changed their formula
Happy to hear someone finally mention joint health and longevity. At 48 years old, I can tell you, lifting heavy for years hurts. Great review
Very informative video but you lost most of the credibility when you choose all the item from your sponsor. As an analyst, I will say in the future if you do a similar type of video maybe don’t include any sponsored items. You can do many things with your sponsored items but don’t when you providing the best option. Still, I have learned a lot from the video but not gonna buy any of them because of its credibility.
Super helpful. This video def took a lot of effort and deserves more likes.. thanks
great review, dope you added time stamps, straight to the point and didn’t babble like theses other reviewers
IPF approved = someone paid enough money to get the sticker.
I’ve heard Rehbands for 10 years. Zero issues. 100s of washes and still look new.
Recently bought some strong knee and elbow sleeves top have a second set so I can wash em before they stay stinking, and not be out a set for training.
I followed the size charts and couldn’t get the elbow sleeves past my forearms. They made me pay return shipping and wanted me to pay to reship the right size….. the knee sleeves bunched up and Cory at howmuchyabench.com told me this was normal….. never an issue with rehbands…. so I cut bait and sent all that garbage back, paid the extra and bought SBDs. They fit great. Perform great. And every strongman out there swears by them or rehbands with the exception of shaw whos got mark bell firmly wedged up his ass pocket
I personally prefer a tighter belt on deadlifts then squats so I’m a huge fan of the inzer double prong belt
Just gonna say inzer does make wraps that long. My black beauty wrist wraps are absolutely insane and are as long if not longer than those gangsta wrist wraps
You’re never going to break in an Inzer belt because they have cardboard inserts. That’s why they’re so stiff. You won’t have that problem with Pioneer. That’s what you should be using.
Would a Belt be good for me to use, to prevent my lower back injuri comming back. I did squat few days ago and it didnt like it. Think i had to much weight on
I’d love to buy some of this gear but the fucking shipping costs to Canada are ridiculous!
You know, I really respect that you put timestamps and you are almost “quick” to the point. Almost like a really good essay. I really dislike some youtubers when they have a ‘simple’ question/answer video where it is 20 minutes long, and I have to search where the answer is. I love the timestamps and really makes it easier for the viewers. You got another sub
Very informative video and glad you talked about that sexy BSD belt
Pioneer hands down best belt. Pioneer cut or lever. SBD does have a sweet belt though but pioneer for life
X sleeves are terrible mine fell apart within the first 2 months the insides started tearing
I need some knee sleeves. Hearing snap crackle and pop when squatting.
Not all leather, in these “leather” belts, are made equal. That is why Inzer Belts takes soo long to break-in with your body form. Inzer uses a bad quality leather substitute in one of their glued layers in their belts. There are plenty of videos here on YouTube that cut these belt open to see their construction. https://youtu.be/xjDu2bPJUu0
Nick did not even review the new Pioneer Cut Belt, which is by far the king of prong belts with its adjustability and quality.
The SBD Belt is priced high since it is the King of all lever belts. Not having to bring a screwdriver or penny to the gym to adjust your belt is priceless. Especially if on a particular day you drink too much water, or bloated from eating too much the day prior. Or simply wanting to adjust your belt slightly more loose for Deadlifts vs Squats.
Abrasive doesn’t mean what you seem to think it means fam
So…if preferring Inzer over SBD almost exclusively due to price…you’d need to include the cost of the SECOND belt needed to for deadlifts, since it’s not feasible to adjust an Inzer twice every week to be both tight for squats and loose for deads. With an SBD you only need one belt that adjusts on the fly for a looser fit as needed. Worth at least the price of two Inzer’s for this reason.
Left my fresh blue SBD’s at the gym after 1.5 years of use SMFH I know. Was about to get another pair but then you sold me on the Gangsta sleeves. I don’t compete so it’s perfect for me.
Buy used belts on eBay prebroken in it just makes sense to me

Just purchased a Nylon belt from Gymreapers can’t wait for it to come in
Dude why didn’t you review any pioneer products? They have the highest quality products in the business.
Great reviews! Didn’t know Russwole’s cute lifting partner had a youtube
Whats more importante a belt o knee sleeves? I am a novice lifter, but i saved some money and really what to know.
Looking for a belt for both deadlift and squat should I go with the sling shot?
one thing about leather…pre broken in probably means it is cheaper leather that will not last as long and wil get waaay too soft eventually. you want the best quality leather that may start out harder but will slowly over time break in to your body and because of the use of premium leather, will last forever. just like baseball gloves…pre broken in means crappy.
I respect you view but I’ve had my SBD belt for years and it’s been brilliant, still going strong and if it broke for any reason I would buy another one in a heartbeat. It’s true about the suede red bleeding on your shirts but I didn’t care because I wear scruffy shirts to the gym.
I have had the SBD belt, got it when it came out and have never had it bleed on me.
Also plenty of brands do 36″ length wrist wraps, personal favorites are the KLA 4000, SBD Stiff and SHP BMF
Love A7 but their sleeves are weak af, imo worse than the new SBD. Might have to try the slingshot X sleeves doe
You lost me at the “discount” portion, it just goes to show that you’re promoting the belt that’s going to give you monetary benefits if we buy it.
Pioneer also makes 36″ wrist wraps with the belt loop thing. How can you recommend one company as having the best when you aren’t even aware of what the industry is offering?
Rofl bought my inzer lever in 2015 it still bruises me on heavy lifts
can you post the difference between the old and new sbd knee sleeves? I honestly didn’t know there was different version. And the sbd belt is 100x better than the inzer quit the bs. that technology for 227? that’s a steal
A7 has the best wrist wraps in the game. Universal thumb loops. Different lengths and levels of stiffness available
Bodybuilder/Powerlifter bad at math? Bro I bet you know your 5, 10, 25, 35, and 45 multiplication tables and the sum, product, difference, and the quotient of all of those numbers when they are in combination with each other better than the average person.
Cant comment on knee sleeves, but saying Gangsta wrist wraps are the best on the market is just straight up false. I went through two sets of Gangsta wraps that frayed badly and fell apart. Replaced them with SBD wraps and haven’t looked back.
This kid not going to win a show because his nature everyone most of guys r on some thing
You mention how an advantage of a prong belt is adjustability so you can make it looser for deadlifts and tighter for squats, but surely thats one of the big pros of the SBD belt over the Inzer? Lever belt that’s adjustable? Kick ass video though, thanks
Love the video man! What specific color is the inzer belt here?
Best crossfit knee sleeve? Is Gangsta too stiff for crossfit training?
So dumb question here. When I lifted 30+ years ago, I don’t remember knee sleeves. We used knee wraps. Is that still a thing or did knee sleeves completely replace it?
13mm rogue lever belt, I believe best bang for your buck!! Check it out!!!
I got the thiccer inzer lever belt.. I got bruised bad, I thought I didn’t use it right. Glad to know others delt with my issue too. Also, I wear it only when I go heavy, Soo it’s still not broken in and I’ve had it for about 17 months
Its come to my conclusion that the gear you use doesnt matter too much. What really matters is the work you put in
slingshot is shit quality belt. no reason to pay more for it
How you not even gonna throw in pioneer belts? They’re the best in the business
Love this video! If you ever quit YouTube you should start a fitness/bodybuilding podcast.
I use the 36″ gangsta wraps for my elbows. It works real good, and real supportive.
Good ass video, bro! But I might have to go spend some money now
What about strength shop products? I like my strength shop products that I got for my first powerlifting meet
X sleeves are complete garbage.. I’ve had Yellow Jackets, A7s, SBDs, Strong and Stoics.. Hands down X sleeves are the ABSOLUTE worst they bunch up so much its insane. Making for an extremely uncomfortable and annoying fit
Stoic knee sleeves feel like the og og sbds! When downsizing right
You’re seriously the best to watch man. The other dudes (which I also follow) are just for pure entertainment. I learn nothing from them tho… you’re the only one whom I can say I actually look and listen to and actually take your advice. Your vocabulary shows how intelligent you are. Please don’t stop.
Great video man! I am kind of stuck between choosing a SBD, inzer 10mm or inzer 13mm. SBD would be €80 more where I live. Ive heard great things about both but also heard things about the inzer not breaking in because of the leather used in the belt..
I got a no name brand double prong belt on amazon for 50$. Its very supportive and took 2 workouts to break in. 6 times cheaper than the most expensive belt you listed. I also got some no name highly rated knee sleeves. like 12 bucks. Again, amazing..not too tight or short in length, great heat wicking material. I really don’t think its worth to spend 50-100 dollars on knee sleeves and 1-300 for a belt unless you just want the brand name
Covid-19 has me lifting harder and heavier at my home gym. This video helped me decide on a belt rather quickly. Thanks.
Now, there is a real natural lifter… as strong with no jerky veins all over “Hey dude, am natural! ‘’ with gigantic veins and chiseling all over… liar!
Agree….Inzer all the way. Bought my 13mm belt off a friend for £80 3 years ago still in top condition. Had to change the position of the lever only a handful of times. Only downside is that the belt is so stubborn and stiff that it took me a good few weeks to break into it but other than that would highly recommend this.
Hey bro do you have a 13mm or a 10mm Inzer? And which do you recommend?
I wanted to be board out annoyed to death so thats the reason why i decided to click
Thanks for the info man, from a fellow Coloradoan. Just started pulling 405 raw so it’s time for an Inzer belt as I make the climb to 500.
Inzer claims the belt is made of one piece leather but there is a video of one getting cut to check, and it is made of multiple layers.
Whats the difference between black and smooth black for the inzer belt.
The video I’ve been waiting for. I decided to go with Inzer a couple months ago but I still love belt videos for some reason lol
What if you don’t give a fuck about price? Haha just joking I just bought an sbd because inzers customer service is terrible
Nick, I remember your videos from the OG YouTube years. I hated your videos. I recently switched from bodybuilding workouts to Olympic lifting /cross training. I’m now glad I was reintroduced to your channel I’m now a new sub. Keep up the good work!
Although I never tried on the SBD belt in comparison to the inzer belt. I’m very satisfied with my inzer belt for the past 2 years. The only down side like you mentioned is having to screw on and off for size adjustment and carrying a screw driver in my gym back.
Great job on the review
