Oh my gosh! I have so many Vegan cookbooks I had to get extra bookshelves to house them all! Love them, especially for inspiration in creating my own recipe combinations. Loved your Vegan Zombie cookbook!
I’ve got the vegan zombie cookbook, it’s one of my go to books. Chocolate cake recipe is fab! Was really hoping you’d bring out more or a graphic novel to continue the story.
Love the completely unrelated creativity at the end! So good
Lol. The only cookbook we have in common is the one by Jason W. Not my favourite. I do have the Vegan Zombie cookbook and just made the sweet seitan last week. Love your cookbook!
I could talk for weeks about vegan or vegetarian cookbooks, I have a huge selection of them and I’ve made one or two videos about them too, I love to cook!
This was fun. I have 66 vegan cookbook. I’m a bit of a fanatic or maybe a collector? I don’t have a favourite really. There’s something in all of them.:)
Enjoyed this run-down. If you also factor in all the cookbooks that have come out in recent years from just vegan YTers, there must be dozens of them. What a time to be alive! Liked the ending; TFP: )
You two are so stinking cute! Please do a cooking video and verbalize the measurements.
LOL! You didn’t let us down! But, a part 2 would be nice…less baking next time.
I’ve been curious about the on the go book, thank you! I mean won’t be going on the go anytime soon, but it seems a good thing to think about either way. Even if it’s just backyard picnics
I have recently become pescatarian so this is very helpful! I love the Hairy Bikers so I might check that one out, especially because I love hearty meals! The Meat Free Monday one looks so good too, omg I can totally see myself buying all of the cookbooks when I get paid now haha! I have Jamie Oliver’s 30 minutes meals and loved that one so can’t wait for his veggie one too! This was such an interesting and different video thank you so much for sharing <3
Haha you guys. This cookbook is great but I feel like you picked all the wrong recipes for the vid. The pineapple cashew fried rice is a must!
Needed this to cheer up my day. Hope you’re both doing okay
Nothing like grandma’s balls
I only have Minimalist Baker’s cookbook of all those (love her peanut sauce omg♡) but the other books I have/can think of are all swedish.
In swedish.
Great assortment of cookbooks guys:)
I had a favorite cookbook as a child. Of course it wasn’t vegan but it had fun little recipes like making a hole in a piece of bread and frying an egg inside of it. I just remembered how much I loved this book while I was watching your video. But I’m just now starting to enjoy the process of cooking, because I was always ushered out of the kitchen by my mother as a child and I used to feel really uncomfortable and inadequate in the kitchen because of that. So I’m yet to find the cookbooks I will use and enjoy having Your collection is pretty inspiring!❤️
I have almost all of those cookbooks!! So much fun. I loved the ending too! You guys are so funny!
Thank you so much for this! You guys did go all in! I pretty much live in both of the Oh She Glows cookbooks. Really wanted the Thug Kitchen but never got it. Thanks for the reminder!❤️
I was unfamiliar with each and every one of these books:-) They sound wonderful. Thank you!

I own this cookbook and it has never let me down! I love Dana and her blog:) I also love your cookbook reviews! Her breakfast burritos, tikka massala, and pineapple quinoa stirfry are heavenly from her book!
Love your video! I should do maths homework… No, cookies and food is better!
Yes, the Italian biscuits dipped in the cheese sauce is the best.
We use all the same ones. Except we have a binder with random recipes we try from random ass places.
My Youtube is suddenly all re-formatted, and I’m not allowed to play any videos. Oh brother.
Watching Two Market girls do a cookbook review is like watching an old episode of My Drunk Kitchen
I have been trying to eat more veggie and the two books I love are so vegan in 5 and miguel barclays &1 vegan:)
I look forward to seeing your guyeses show Tues and Thurs so yeah, no I don’t own any vegan cookbooks yet but…I’m studying to be a chef and I’m vegan so I’m developing my own recipes and I would be totally rad in the future to create my own. Yeah um great vid and bye folks☺️
Ooh, how about a cheese-dedicated episode: cookbook test, Julie Piatt’s book, perhaps?
please make a baking video next…those recipes for cookies and cupcakes sound great
I wish you had listed them in the description box. I could hardly hear this Video.
All I heard was “Issa” I have NO IDEA “WHO that is?” I did hear “Vegan Pantry and Minimalist Baker but other than that NOTHING really & I have sound all the way up!
Blessings from Oklahoma,
Piper
Love so many of these cookbooks! Thank you for sharing your favorites!
I love cookbooks so much. Cookbook review video for the win. Thanks guys.
Annie’s Vegan Journey channel has a ton of recipes. Just found it
I have that vegan cookie book. Mine is falling apart we’ve used it so much. My go to books forever have been the soy not oi books 1 and 2. And Please don’t feed the bears. I love all of the isa books too!
I always like the looks of cookbooks but stopped buyung them as I always end with just one or two usable recipes.
There’s a new cool one called: “Color me Vegan”. Pretty good recipes, while focusing on the rainbow of nutrients our bodies need.
Wherever did you get that gorgeous top? Just beautiful, like you.
Well Amazon is gonna love me soon. All these are now in my cart! Thanks for another awesome video!
You guys have the best chemistry! I love vegan cookbooks also! My go to books in the past that got some good wear is the authors “tanya barnard and sarah kramer” “the garden vegan” and “how it all vegan”! My other fav has been “mayim’s” vegan table” by mayim bialik…because, i was such a fan of “big bang theory”! She put out a great easy to follow…and really now i get alot of receipe ideas from my fav magazines “vegnews” “vegan life” “forks over knives” put out a couple years a magazine loaded with great recipes….that was such an inspirational video for me..they put out before that…i want to so, much to add to the collection “the vegan zombie” book…i just want a physical one! Its a bummer! I know vegan zombie gets that request too…not, that a ebook isn’t bad…! I do get drooling food meal ideas from all you guys! Ellen Fischer…has some tempting food dishes..the problem many times with her…its alot of food prep! Well, my comment is actually probably longer than this video!! Thanks!
I’m a total Isa fan-girl and damned proud of it! My copies of Vegan Cupcakes TOtW and Vegan w/a Vengeance are a mess of batter stains and sticky notes
Wow there is vegan cruise? I didn’t know that… okay I’m new to vegan lol… thanks for the book ideas
I still need Myokos book. That cookie and cupcake books yummy. I have Gaz Oakley book & Christmas book, getting Liv B’s and Boosh book. I have Dr Gregers one, I need the black metal chef boo. I have the Wicked healthy book.
Oh I love Jason I didn’t know he had a book.
I get recipes from YouTube videos. Please make another book . The best cook book I have found is a 4 week vegan cook book with 4 weeks of recipes and the shopping list for each week, heaps of vegan tips and tricks and extra recipes afterwards.
Lolll the ending.
Loved the video. I am also 100% an Isa fan girl.
But also the ending of this video was chefskiss.jpg. Reminded me a bit of the older vegan zombie videos. But with a cool new twist. Love that low synth tone just running throughout the whole scene.
I love the cheddar beer soup (not sure exactly what it’s called)!
Love this cookbook! Just made the pizza burgers while quarantining. Definitely agree since it is an older cookbook the recipes are more simplistic but nice to rely on when you want something like that. I love all the Thai inspired and Asian inspired dishes in this book!
I’m not vegan/ vegetarian, but I LOVE to read the info in vegan/vegetarian cookbooks because they tend to have a lot of information in them.
Your dressing is my go to during the holidays. I also have the engine 2 cookbook which is an oldie but that’s another go to for me.
Your channel is fast becoming my favorite to watch. I have your cookbook and love it!
Which is better? Bosh or Bish Bash Bosh? I might need to get one ASAP.
I’m surprised you don’t have Lauren Toyota hot for food cookbook.she is my favorite.
Hi Jon, Thank you, for listing “The Authors & titles” of The Cookbooks!
Blessings from a longtime Sub/Viewer,
Piper
My favourite cook book is a low fat book with a 30 day meal plan called “Go Lean Vegan” by Christine Bailey and I have made every single meal option. I still pick out meals now even though I am not actively trying to lose weight because they taste so good. My second “book” is the new app by deliciously Ella which has lots of choice and my third is by “The Happy Pear’ and is called “The world of the Happy Pear” and we highly recommend the recipe for the full Irish breakfast. My family love the baked beans recipe!
Good idea keep vegan vlogs from non vegan mealsIt does look incredible I’m vegan so I like these kind of vlogs! I follow you! I do vegan food reviews on YouTube & you are more than welcome to watch my vlogs http://www.youtube.com/arikvarden please subscribe Thank you ✌Good Luck
“I recommend this guide:

So grateful it exists.”
you guys just really cheered me up during these uneasy quarantine times… <3:)
I have most of Isa’s cookbooks, and I have Melissers, too:) How awesome that you know most of the authors! Not many people could say that. Ps. Try Robin Robertsons cookbooks, everything I made from her book turned out legit and closest to non-vegan version!
I have so many that I love, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be Viva Vegan by Terry Hope Romero. I fell in love with cooking after using that book for a bit.
That b&w sinister laugh scene at the end made my night! I am a cook book collector as well, but surprisingly I have no Isa books. I feel lucky that I got a vegan zombie cook book before they sold out, I love the French toast and the pot pie recipes! I have several by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, she is the best! I’m also into more ethnic cookbooks lately, I love Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen. Do you and Chris think you’ll do another vegan cruise at some point?
I love Isa so much. Isa Does It is my favorite book, I’ve cooked almost everything in it at least once and many of the recipes I have memorized. Before Isa Does It I had Vegan with a Vengeance and mine looks a bit more worn than yours but I also got the 10 year anniversary of it!
Forks over Knives and any other WFPB cookbooks. Took the FOK Rouxbe Cooking School Class. 3 Month online. It was EXCELLENT. Highly recommend!!!
Jon you’re a superstar chef. I would know. I watch food network.
I have cook eat share and I find it great. the other book I really like is the bosh book
Thanks for getting me to pick up my copy of Veg Every Day Dane and I think I need to do what you do and just work my way through cook books instead if randomly trying a few and then giving up. One I can recommend that I’ve used quite a bit is Oh she Glows and she has a blog too I think.
Thank you so much Sophie. Those all sound like wonderful books. I want them all eventually. I just went to Amazon & found used copies of the 3 that I was most interested in. “My New Roots”, “Food With Benefits” & “Vegan Family Meals”. They sounded to be in quite good condition & free shipping & I thought I’d better grab them quick. I think $35 for all 3 was a good deal for me!!! My monthly funds are limited on Social Security so I will get the rest when I can. I’m very familiar with Vegan Richa & I just sent the link to her website to my daughter this morning!!! Thank you again & I love you!!!
I was too late to comment on your last live stream, there great but someone mentioned Tramadol so I feel I needed to comment about the horrible drug. Tramadol is highly addictive, don’t go down that road, Jon! I’ve been there and it was an absolute nightmare coming off the stuff, hallucinations, the shakes and paranoia… Try CBD oil, it helps with my pain and it doesn’t mess with my mental health. Stay safe both, love from Wales, UK.
Would have been a great vind…if it only had cookies in it..
Sorry, couldnt help myself hahhaa.
Those biscuits looked sooooo good!!!!
I hear Canada is also taking measures against the Covid19, so keep safe and healthy girls!
Don’t know if is in the cookbook but her Easy vegan fried rice is excellent. Her butternut squash soup and Thai soups are also really good as is her recipe for pinto beans. There are all easy reliable recipes that I have made many times. I don’t have her cookbook but I make allot of her recipes from her blog and look forward to all the stuff she posts. She is big on using seasonal stuff which I appreciate.
Ohh I love this review. I’m following along with my copy of the cookbook!! I really want to make those biscuits bookmarked the recipe!!
You two are so funny, adorable and real. Such good people. May all your dreams come true. I’ve watched Jon’s 1st recipe video in 2011 or so. It was one of the first information about veganism i’ve found. I was willing to die of malnutrition before that because I believed in the misinformation but wouldn’t hurt Animals. Thank you for all that you do.
Love Isa’s books! I am so happy to hear I am not the only one who saves non-vegan recipes to veganize LOL if anyone saw my copymethat files, they would think I was a secret meat eater
Thank you Sophie! I’m very grateful for all your videos wealth of information and fabulous DIY! I’m definitely going to order some of these books!
I love you guys….
But some of your videos are very low volume.
Thank you for the recommendations. Which one do you feel is the simplest to start with? I mainly cook for myself and don’t want it too involved.
Sunshine and Sophie are My favorites!!! haha. Loved all the books you shared.. so very helpful!!
I have that Farm Sanctuary book too and love it. So many beautiful photos of the animals and the recipes look great. I also have a lot of Marilu Henner’s vegan books and love the info in them. I just yesterday bought The Simply Vegan Cookbook by Dustin Harder. I also really like Everyday Vegan by Good Housekeeping, Vegan Reset by Kim-Julie Hansen, and Martha Stewart’s Meatless which is vegetarian mostly. I also have Alicia Silverstone’s The Kind Diet and Crazy Sexy Kitchen by Kris Carr.
I, too, am obsessed with vegan cookbooks & have quite a few favorites Isa Does It, Oh She Glows, Vegan 101 are just a few. I just bought Dustin Harder’s The Simply Vegan Cookbook & it is AMAZING! I can’t wait for his Epic Vegan Cookbook which comes out in July!
Just bought the first one shown on Amazon. Can’t wait, getting it tomorrow.
This was so fun! All the admiration and fangirling for cookbook authors. You both are so humble. I’m like “Dude they are your peers and friends.” If I ever get the chance to meet y’all in person just know I’ll be thinking “Be cool. And don’t say anything stupid.”
The ending was awesome! Making some juice looked like a crime scene!
I so agree Sophie. A lot of the vegan recipes just don’t offer the flavor and texture. I recently am using the Forks over Knives cookbook and find it helpful on compiling a balanced meal with what I have on hand. It has been easier for me in transitioning to plant-based cooking if the recipe ingredients are readily available in my local market since I’m not close to a Whole Foods or Sprouts. I’m looking forward to trying the cookbooks you have listed. Thank you!
Vegan For Everybody by America’s Test Kitchen is the book I recommend for my friends who say that want to make an attempt an eating plant based. Oh She Glows is another one I go to time and again. I have three out of the ones you mentioned, and 2 others have been on my wishlist for the next ones to buy.
Whoa Kat! Steady your hands and movement with that camera slow down, I’m gettin a headache. Also Dev, nice Red Hot pouring action!
i dont bother with cookbooks with no pictures lol…i need a picture to see what i am dealing with:p..
Thank you for such thorough reviews of your recommended cookbooks, and for pointing out what to expect in each one:0)
I forgive you! This is just the kind of video I needed today. ❤❤
Bosh is one of best books. I’ve pleased so many guests with their recipes
I have been thinking that booktube needs someone who uses and reviews cookbooks! You have reached apex level “cookbooktube”!
