Hey Mind over munch,
*Please hear me out…
I am an young (16 yrs) athlete basketball player whose starting to lift weights and trying to gain mass since I’m kinda tall (6’3). I’m sending this message because I’m want some protein bars to help me with my workout and for for body improvement in general (especially since I feel so drained out after the workouts). The thing is, however, my family situation at the moment is not the best and we are struggling with the bills & I have only $1 to spend. I’m kinda new this realm, it’ll only me understand what to buy in the future because the full-sized products are expensive. I didn’t want to do and hack or scheme to buy this online so I because I believe the honest way is just to ask. I hope you make an exception with this request and thanks in advance!
Sincerely yours, Berry Cedieu
You should try Rawr Bars. PLANT based, Organic, soy free and ect.

Hey, does anybody know if she’s a registered dietitian? Or nutritionist? Pls lmk!
The diet roller coaster.. give it 5 years… protein bars will be trendy again.
stoked you and Troy are back to doing videos. He’s a big dawg.
I am so interested in this. Have been reading all I can on Dr. Bredesen’s ReCODE protocol and it’s so exciting. My mom is 98 and is probably in the final few weeks or months of Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinsons. She is totally unable to do anything for herself, and communication is so difficult for her and us. Mom has very little comprehension. Have watched her go from a incredibly independent person to her present state. I will not go down this road for myself if I can prevent it. I had my genetics tested with 23&me and do not have the APOE4 gene from either parent. I know this doesn’t make it clear sailing and I will do whatever it takes. Thanks for your excellent video. with
Ppl have been eating grains nd dairy for ages in fact that was all that was available to them they lived longer nd healthier than us. The main thing is to maintain a balance in everything. Don’t over do anything. Live with ‘moderation. A simple but a full life.
Thank you Sean. I have never tried a quest bar. I will give one a shot.
Loved all the science explained! Definitely learned a lot about protein bars today
Tbt that intro was to much of the words tbt… Liked the video however
one thing you can do with the super chewy bars is pop them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds, that softens them and makes them easier to eat.
I eat Luna Bars (the peanut butter chocolate flavor), because they are one of the few gluten free, corn product free foods that I CAN eat. so, I don’t eat protein bars for protein, but because, as a gluten/corn and corn product person (and corn is in most all gluten free foods, so this is a double challenge) it is difficult for me to find food that is safe for me to eat.
the gluten free food products community seems to not realize that there are also those of us who can’t have corn, which includes xantham gum, with is in literally everything, or anything ending with “-ose”, such as dextrose or sucralose. any many many other products that are essentially corn but with a fancy scientific sounding name.
Hey, can we please get a video of home made protein bars? I think they will be much better and cleaner than the store bought options

Where were you able to find the Julian bakery bar? I can’t seem to find them anywhere!
I think I saw the Think Thin or Think bar on the bench but not in your review?
Some of the ones on the market are so gross. No Cow have an especially icky texture. Lol.:)
I have a protein bar every once in awhile. I like trying new ones. I avoid whey protein though.
This is very through! Good nutritional advice, too. I recently decided to change to eating a bar in the morning for breakfast, with a piece of fruit. I was struggling to make breakfast, skipping, and getting too hungry, so this has given me a way to normalize my routine without a lot of fuss. I’m on the go a lot. I also have a lot of food restrictions, so can only really do nut bars so night too high protien. My fave protein bar is from Costco, the Kirkland brand cookie dough.
I stay away from all that crap. Soy, whey & casein (I’m dairy-free), artificail ingredients, fake sweeteners. Just gross
Would this work for someone who is in the later stages of dementia? My mom has mixed vascular dementia
So happy I found d this channel. Really fun to watch and you’re a Gamer!!! That’s awesome.
I would love a meat protein bar episode! I’m a big fan of the Epic bars. Also, thank you for making this. I really feel like the info your provide is very beneficial to me to make healthier food choices! You rock!
Great video! I just read the Alzheimer’s Solution by Ayesha Sherzai and Dean Sherzai, and was super interested to hear another perspective. There were definitely more similarities than differences.
Video suggestion: “Complete proteins”. I’ve heard that they’re important, and also heard that they’re bunk. I’m confused.
Nice video! Non-biased and informative as always.
I do agree with you on this one from a non-scientific point of view since Quest bars taste amazing!
great video man, quick question what are your opinions on quest bars and what are your favourite flavours by them I would really like to know, thanks
Just started watching your channel and I have to say you are the most down to earth, informative and realistic fitness expert that I have watched. All of your videos make so much sense and are so easy for me to follow. You make meals that I can afford with ingredients that I can find in my small town lol. You are amazing. Thank you . And I love your voice
I like the Macro bars, just the sunflower butter/chocolate one. Nom nom nom!
The fruit bowl on the right should be darker and reddish brown to counter the dark sweater. Otherwise excellent, lively video. Thanks!
How fermented sourdough bread? 24 hours is that a safe gluten choice?
There’s a huge ingredient that you didn’t touch on..Malitol (sugar alcohol) causes gastric bloating! Ask the bodybuilding athletes. It gives you a literal “turbo boost”
@Sean Nalewanyj Thank you for selecting us as your favorite protein bar and the amazingly kind words! If there’s anything else we can do, don’t hesitate to let us know! If you haven’t tried our new Quest Protein Chips, we’d love to send you some in gratitude. Email us at [email protected].:)
Hey Remington, which app do u use to keep track of your macros and everything?
i’m a big fan of the “perfect bar”! it definitely isn’t 100% perfect (it has whey and i prefer not to eat dairy) but they are pretty tasty and are kept in the fridge because they are made of mostly whole foods!
the how much protein you need blog isn’t even working (found that out after I clicked on the website and was forced to accept the sites “cookies” to see that). Is there a link to a video or updated blog post on this topic???
Well done ladies, one thing I was offended by was the remark about not needing the “Almighty Physician” you can do this alone, altho that may be true, Alzheimer’s is a very serious disease, and giving people the impression that they can solve it themselves is a bit egotistical and naieve. Sorry don’t be hurt, other than that you are both awesome.
Bro these types of videos are great, I don’t want you to stop with the other content but this was a good one
How is a diet that includes legumes be low carb? WHY would you want to avoid naturally raised animal protein? You can eat nutrient dense animal protein AND eat large quantities of veggies and fruits, as Terry Wahls recommends in her well studied MS reversing diet.
I eat protein bars because I have celiac disease and I can never count on finding food that I can eat when out & about all day, or if I’m traveling! Seriously, sometimes when I’m traveling for work, all I can eat is protein bars. I definitely don’t feel my best when I’m relying on them so much, but they provide me with some essential nutrition when I have no other choices. my favorite brand used to be Dale’s Raw because they were delicious and had real ingredients, but sadly they went out of business. No I eat mostly Quest’s blueberry muffin and One’s coconut flavor.
Just heard of a new study that a chemical in microwave popcorn is linked to Alzheimer’s disease.
Stick with whole unprocessed Foods when possible!
You should try quest hero blueberry cobbler if you haven’t already. Really good!
Hey Rem! Hope you’re ok after the loss…loved the video format, super cruisey and natural…amazing positivity and vibes you surround yourself with
I enjoy your videos a lot Remington. I got a lot of useful tips from you keep up the good work. Now on to more important things how’s your new puppy doing haven’t seen him in a while
The Rise bar that you said was vegan is not vegan if it has honey in it.
How do you know if your over doing protein? Can you do a video about how to set macros correctly? Please do a video about protein shakes too! Thank you!!!!! You rock my socks!
I mainly eat Quest bars. Sometimes I eat Atkins or Bhufit bars. Regular One bars spike my blood sugar. Julian’s Bakery bars are very hard on my teeth. Even when I microwave them.
Have to say, I was gagging the whole time you were tryingto eat these. And thinking afterwords you must have felt slightly sick. Kudoes to you for putting yourself through this for us. NO I never want a protien bar. I have never tastede one I thought was worth putting into my body.
I know this might sound strange I’ve had all different kind of protein bars but for some reason protein bars make me more hungry the only bar that I have found that I can eat that doesn’t make me more hungry is Quest Bar
This video was great. I was wondering if u would be able to do a video on collagen and its benefits to consume and as a cream. I would like to know its affect on skin as one loses weight. Will it help to make sure there is less or no loose skin?
Sucralose has been proven to be completely inert and not carcinogenic at all. Because it was thought to be carcinogenic, so many test were run on it to prove or disprove it, and they ALL came out negative. So actually it is one of the safest and most tested on artificial sweeteners around.
Source: Scientificast #207 (Unfortunately it is in Italian but you can still find scientific research around it online, go on actual google scholar and not just google)
I have some individual collagen packets that I bought through amazon; does it change the flavor of your coffee at all? Would you put the full pack in your coffee? I know I need to add it or I think I should particularly as I age and continue to work out a lot; let me know your thoughts please. THANK YOU!
Nice video. Can you do a video on protein powders(best whey isolate, best vegan, lactose free options)? Also can you go over which supplements are the most beneficial for fat loss? There’s a lot of supplements on the market like bcaas, protein powders, oils, vitamins, etc so it gets confusing.
Best protein bar ever is Atlas bars ( https://atlasbars.com). Seriously the cleanest bar I have ever eaten and by far the best tasting. Unfortunately it is not vegan friendly as it is made with grass fed whey protein.. but other than that it is an amazing bar and I have tried A LOT of protein bars.
I would love for you to try the Barebells protein bars! They are my absolute favourite:-) Great video!
I have been a fan of Rx bars on occasion. They definitely fall into the super sticky box. I tried a no cow bar one time and barely got through it, they’re terrible.
Tell me you threw some jalapeño mustard on that hamburgersa big dawg
This is amazing! You should make a video on this with protein shakes!!!!
This makes a lot of sense. I feel like a lot of people use protein bars as an excuse to have something yummy after a workout (since most of them are like “candy bars”). When in reality, what most people are doing at the gym is not enough to actually justify them NEEDING a protein bar, if their diet already contains what they need. So then it is just extra calories labeled as “protein bar”—the thing you eat after going to the gym because everyone does it because that’s just what you do…
So, on the topic of meat bars…. I am a vegetarian. What do you suggest for that to substitute the meat?
Question: what WOULD you eat after a workout to get that protein and carbs?
i too have tried the Halo Top! Its an ice cream game changer
Do you eat homemade (your own) protein bars or balls? Or some kind of homemade bars?
Sorry guys, but take this video with caution. When they say that they can “reverse brain shrinkage to make it bigger again”, that’s a HUGE lie! I do scientific research on Alzheimer’s for more than 10 years and neither my colleagues (experts in brain imaging), nor I have seen any serious scientific study that showed the reversing of brain shrinkage to date. Yes, diet can help, but it needs to be adapted to each person and started before the real dementia starts. Plus, it must be combined with other life style changes. Diet alone won’t be efficient. Sad to see people trying to sell fake hopes to desperate patients!!!
I am so glad I found your channel. I love the science rants I have tried keto and intermittent fasting. I do a healthy version of keto where I allow myself 50 carbs a day, most of those coming from veggies and berries. I have tried to eliminate adding sugar, bread, and most starchy vegetables. I have found that I am way less bloated, feel satiated much longer, and have more stable energy throughout the day. I started this January 1st (after having tried keto 2 years ago) and have lost 13 pounds. I have about 50 more to go. Thanks for making great and informative videos.
Rem Dog download that Kroger App, Just type in what your looking for and it will tell you the aisle everything is at. Plus tons of digital coupons.
Hey rem, I’m a soccer player who plays on a professional 1st division academy in Mexico, I was wondering if u can make a recipe video that gets good macros for a soccer player who does a lot of running.
P.s can u make a video for muscle recovery from legs after a workout or long strenuous running? Would mean and help alot
Boom !! Another great video man!! Had a blast recording and smashing a workout together!!
I like the met-tex big colossal, tastes great and is very thick, good quality protien too, trust me just ask my friends 😉
I don’t say this to be a suck-up but I love all of your videos and all the different styles of content you put out. I love the meal prep and workout videos as well as the Q&As and all the other stuff. The recipe vids are my personal favorite. But I love this style of video as well because your personality is infectious! I feel like watching a friend in a “day in the life of” and hanging out. You have that special connection with the camera like you know us bro and it’s so awesome. I am so very sorry to hear of your loss and hope that you are doing well and keeping your head up. You’re one of the most positive people I have come across and the world could sure use more people like yourself. Weights are therapy and they sure have helped me with some difficult times recently. Much love brother!
I’ve tried the Paleo bar before but I had an allergic reaction to it! Turns out I’m allergic to the sunflower butter:( Sad times. I think I’m staying clear of protein bars haha.
Keto diet video? Interested in combining both fasting and kept
“I recommend this guide:

I wung it
Haha, love it man, best youTuber you’ve taught me a lot
Thanks
8:10 where were you going buddy?? ! Just kidding, great videos as always man!
Great discussion! I would love to hear your explanation of keto. I am 63 and have been doing both for about 5 months. I have lost 75 pounds with about 40 more to go to get back to where I was 20 years ago. I am also thinking about life after this rather intense period of strict eating and fasting. Maybe you could explore maintenance as well. Thank you. I enjoy your enthusiasm!
Is it possible to follow this diet when the patient has end stage kidney failure and is restricted to 2000-3000 mg kalium? Thank you.
Hi, im soo sorry for your loss, I watch your videos all the time and i was wondering if you could show us how to make a low carb, sugar, fat, and a high protein bar that does not use peanut butter and is not sticky, and also could you tell me your favorite flavour of protien powder from your favorite brand thanks. for the protien bar, kind bars could be a good inspiration but with higher protein. once again i’m sooooo sorry for your loss
Im trying IF since the end of August. My windows have varied from 12/12 to 14/10 to 16/8. A few days I haven’t fasted at all.
I’ve lost 5 pounds. Im finding that I’m satisfied with less food even on the days I don’t fast. I don’t feel the need to snack much anymore. I’m also trying to lower my carb intake. Still having toast some mornings or a sandwich on days I have lunch, and potatoes with some meals, but less carbs in general. I have to admit that I haven’t been to the gym in months. But Im walking some days, and still losing weight, so I’m happy. I also track my calories with the Lose It (free) App. I think the app and IF are helping me kick my habits of eating absentmindedly and using food for comfort. It’s good to know that when I only eat two meals a day I can eat more foods that I enjoy, rather than feeling like I’m depriving myself. I plan to work towards a consistent 16/8 schedule and to increase my walking time. The success I’ve already had is so motivating! Five pounds down, 35 to go. Thank you so much for your videos!
Sorry for your loss… Thanks for helping me thru my tonsillectomy! Love watchin all you can eat comps…oysters please
Lel. Cookies & Cream / Raspberry cheese cake are my absolute favorite. Tastes like candy and is a good source of fibre.
Great vid. I always enjoy watching your content. When I first started watching you I was 249lbs I’m now 224lbs just counting. Thanks for the good work.
Hey autumn, what should you do if you have just eaten something high carb or with sugar that spikes your insulin? Should you not eat again until that insulin has leveled out or are there foods that will not be stored as fat that you can eat? Thanks!
KETO DIET (if you haven’t already. I’m late to the game on this)
I tried keto for few months but intermitten fasting is much much better than keto fot IF could me made once lifestyle
I’ve done if and Keto separately and only when I combined both was I able to kick sugar and simple carbs addictions. Keto not difficult at all. Same as if. Lots of fresh greens moderate healthy fats and moderate protein. I break fasts when my body or mind feels like it.
That music is distracting…your voice is smooth enough to not need that
they’re both stupid. intermittent fasting is a great way to promote toxic adrenaline production, and keto is just.. no comment.
At present I’m not a very technological minded woman so this was ideal for me since they include quite clear advice so it essentially takes a short while to get up and going. This was a no-brainer for me personally! To begin with, is the introduction manuals that provides a clear plan together with simple reference e-book. I honestly managed to get started on promptly, the intro was extremely relatively simple. The three week dietary plan helps it be trouble-free. Find out right here https://tinyurl.com/y9w4yfrv
Built Bars are my favorite, taste like candy bars! Quest bars need a good 10-12 seconds in the microwave and they taste like fresh baked choc chip cookies!
GET THESE GREAT DEALS ON PROTEIN BARS WHILE THEY LAST AT *BARGAIN WAGON** EBAY STORE CHECK OUT MY OTHER ITEMS TOO!!! https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=protein+bars&LH_PrefLoc=2&_ssn=barginwagon&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xprotein+.TRS0&_nkw=protein+&_sacat=0
I like how you mentioned what collagen is made of like it’s not utterly disgusting!
Lol biting that frozen bar was a whole workout on its own
My favorite, non-sucralose flavours: Double Chocolate Chunk and Strawberry Cheesecake.
Autism and Alzheimers have the same tangles. Pine Oil “Gum Turpentine” with sugar improves both.
I agree with you,it’s hard to believe it’s been over a year since moms gone, but I’m still pushing for mom,she would be happy with my weight loss journey I’m doing things by myself I never done before.
Loved this video man! Always awesome seeing team dry scoop!
P.s. Very sorry for your loss brother!
This is not “keto”. There is no way to stay in even a “mild” ketosis eating complex carbs and lentils. Sour brain will be running on glucose. I’m not saying that this diet or any diet where you don’t eat processed foods is a bad diet. But it sure ain’t keto.
Stevia may be natural, but it should still be consumed in moderation, since overconsumtion of it could be toxic and lead to fertility problems, according to Examine.com.
U r awesome bro I feel a lot better since watching your channel just thought u should know
Awesome way to burn, I do the same with bench. Definitely burns those fibers! Maybe I’ll do an instructional on my channel as well. Thumbs up guys!
all that shit for 20 $? does he get a 80% discount or something? lmao
I’m just sticking with IF and a high protein diet. It’s easy and it works. Keto is too complicated and restrictive.
I use protein bars as more of an occasional breakfast on the go. I use to love Quest bars but that corn fiber doesn’t agree with me so I had to stop eating them. I have been eating Rx bars and and recently saw Epic bars, which are almost if not identical to Rx, but they have a lemon flavor that I like. Since you mentioned that you’d eat the Rise bars, I’m going to look at them the next time I’m at the store and give them a try. Great video! Thank you!
thanks for this video. I just started eating these and they are great tasting. I started with them due to the very low amount of sugar they have.
Does 23 And Me require you to ID your self?
I don’t trust insurance companies with this info.
I love I got to see what each bars’ texture actually looks like. Thank you!
I agree, not everyone needs protein bars. I don’t eat them now, I used to but many have a lot of carbs and salt. Great video hun xx
My great grandmother, grandmother both had this disease. And now my mom. it’s been devastating. I’m so interested in this even for myself at age 37. Thank you Whitney for more great material.
WHAT IS THE NAME OF PROTIEN BAR YOU TOOK OUT OF A FREZIER I CANT READ THE NAME AND I WANT TO TRY IT CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IT CALLED AND THANK YOU
Where can I find those frozen all natural protein bars?!?! I tried searching for them and have not come across them!
Keto done the right way! I can’t stress that enough! I love your glasses by the way Autumn:)
Alyssia, You’re always so thorough.
I always learn something new from you:) GREAT info!! Thanks:)
So I was at 130 and I tried your meal preps and loss 6 pounds in 3 weeks (which is pretty good for me)
Why do you swing your body when you do bicep curls doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the weight?
Burgers, bros, gaming and work ours on point. You got the life! What games do you play? Btw again sorry for your loss.
Do a grocery haul. Those, personally, are my favorite (along with these type of “day in the life” vlogs)
Keep up the good work bro
Hey Remington, I wanted to say thank you for the all the videos you’ve posted. I didn’t know how dieting was very important by you showing the nutritional facts in which I pretty much had a difficult time understanding lol. I’m 5’6 and use to weigh 155lbs, ever since my shoulder injury that lasted 3 years, I dropped to 130. After my recovery, I got back to 155. I wasn’t too sure if it was muscle or fat I was gaining until I saw the videos you posted because I was eating meals in general. Since then, I was eating certain foods you made and I dropped to 142. Supposedly, my buddy told me it was the left over fat I had. Tbh, as I changed my workout and diet, I noticed that difference that I was gaining lean muscle and never felt better . Thanks for the ideas and tips
The music is too busy. Please don’t use loud, busy music. It’s hard to hear you.
We got a saying well….a bunch of sayings but this one is for your workouts to failure….”It’s light but it ain’t easy”
Funny how the guest mentions fats ( healthy ). I’ve long suspected that healthy fats are an important component in the plant based diet yet there are Vegan doctors out there ( John Mcdougall, Caldwell Esseltyne, Jeff Novick) who are very anti fat including plant fats. You can see why there is so much confusion on this topic.
I like “Perfect Bars” but they do have a lot of calories, so I limit them. The only thing I will say, is they recommend more protein for pregnant and nursing moms, which is my current situation. Just trying to keep the tiny humans alive, lol.
Alyssia, please. Why are you eating the bars on screen? What experience or value does that add for me the viewer? I can tell you I am getting nothing from watching you chew and then listening to the sound of partially eaten food move around your mouth as you speak. I know mokbangs are a thing but I find them absolutely disgusting. And I see no need for it here. So why?
Was that you walking into Krogers in Lancaster? Lol I didn’t even know that you were based in Ohio.
Would you be able to put these in a smoothie or make them into a smoothie? Have you looked in to the JOIN button that has been popping up on alot of other channels? Hope to see you taste test the meat bars or something else in your future videos.
I don’t do many protein bars but if I’m traveling I like perfect bars (the kids ones are a perfect snack portion for me) and chomp sticks/epic bars.
Loved this video! I eat Quest and RX….Surprised that RX Bars were not on your list.
more videos like this for sure! love everything you post remi
Pro Tip..RJ. Have you had the Yasso Frozen Yogurt bars yet? They are awsome tasting and the Macros are good too. If not give them a try. In the ice cream section of your favorite store..
I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you’ve been putting in your videos, I discovered your channel about 3 days ago and I’ve been binge watching ever since (must have seen about 40 videos), I’ve been trying to lose weight for years and I learned about intermittent fasting like two weeks ago and I’m learning all about macros at the same time, you have been a HUGE HELP, like, you have no idea, I went to the groceries today and picked a bunch of stuff, I’m starting to meal prep tomorrow, I love how thorough you are, good recipes, great content, and those food challenges are so entertaining!!! You are freaking awesome!!! Lots of love from Greece!!!
I haven’t seen your new puppy in your latest videos, do you still have him?
Thanks Amy Lee My husband is diagnosed with Cognitive Decline. Pls. keep me informed on how he can be helped. It’s great to know that as a lay person, I can help my husband myself with some of the procedures mentioned in your video. what is the best way to reach you for personal questions?
You missed out on trying Raw Rev Glo and Nugo Slim bars.. they are the ones I choose and more up your alley:)
Have you looked into the Redcon1 MRE bars? Much more whole food w/o the fake fibers. Also, very tasty and filling.
It wont tell you what your APOE status is but will tell you what copies you have???
Where can I get a donut tree? Do they grow on the east coast
Hi. I tried keto and I must say it is messing with my hormones badly, everyone says it will level out but so far it’s getting worse. I am also struggling to not go into a calorie deficit as I just can’t do that amounts of fats. I’m trying to now cycle back to leaving the counting and just eat for my eating window. I do 20:4 5 days a week as my metabolism has slowed down badly. Thanks for the keto coffee and not breaking your fast as I will be implementing that
Hey Remington great video have a question any recommendations on how to prepare and cook cod?
Would you be willing to do a video explaining all the different cable machine attachments and what exercises go with them?
I can’t believe they ran out of Xbox one x!!!! Sorry for your loss bro!!!!
Yes, please Keto info.
No need to apologize for science rants. They give justification as to why and how to eat for health, otherwise we’re just hearing about fads. Good work, keep it up.
Hey Rem when is your pre workout coming out and where will I be able to get it when it does? If it’s already out that’s even better
I tried some of your recipes so far along with some of your snack recommendations. Haha on the Xbox One X Preorder, you are awesome and have inspired me to push myself harder.
New subscriber here and love your videos! Question, do you have a video where you go over what the “healthy” carbs are? I come from a keto/low carb mind set but totally open minded to including certain carbs if I can still lose weight with them =)
Can you also do a video on how I can use some milk in my keto coffee and still not break my fast I don’t like the taste of butter
My hubby was able to order an Xbox one X but they literally were gone in less than 30 minutes Also all those protein bars made me hungry again! Haha great vid!
She mentioned “time restricted eating / fasting. Dog gone! I love this video! Time restricted fasting is GREAT for your health! GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!! watch Charlotte Gerson on YouTube.
Sean, would you consider doing an update on this video? Quest has changed the ingredient list in there bars recently. The fiber formula is Corn based additive. I used to eat quest bars all the time with no problem. I tried them again recently this weekend and could not even get through one box due to severe abdominal bloating and cramping. I have seen many people comment on this in reviews on Amazon. I’m looking for a good option for protein bars that my stomach will tolerate. What would be your second best option?
Sean, I just read an article today from another fitness author that I follow. The article said that the “net carbs” claim that Quest makes is unreliable and that the carbs Quest does not include in its “net carb” count are still digested by the body and contribute to your energy/calorie intake for the day. Can you do a video about net carbs and whether or not it is a marketing ploy? Thanks.
Call Q 10 I think I’m saying that right I don’t know I’m blind and I have to talk to my phone, isn’t that from an animal product? Just curious
Thanks for the video. I just found out through 23 and me I have one copy of Apoe E4. I’m 59 and know symptoms yet, I’m researching to make some life style changes.
another cool video:) so happy i got to watch it today. thanks
I just switched from a cut to a bulk. Why couldn’t you have made this video while I was still on a cut lol. If I cut again soon then I will definitely have to buy some of those snacks.
I’ve been on the lookout for a “good” vegan bar. I can’t say I want it for the protein content, but rather as a snack and or meal replacement for say a long car ride or if I’m just not crazy hungry, but need something. I’m also not mad at bars that are sweet and that some might compare to a candy bar. Lol! It’s very rare that I have any so here & there, why not.
Hi Alyssia, do you have a video on foods that help the skin?
The big guys of the gym…shred it. The keto life. Good vid great content.
Have had Type-1 Diabetes for “51” yrs. I Hate that Anyone Pronounce’s Diabetes like Diebeeties. Pronounce it like Diabetus.
love your skip-ahead notes awesome for those short on time and/or attention span!
Thank you for the great education, I will definitely look closer at the labels now that I know what I am looking for and can make better choices for my body. I think I will work on the meat and fruit option.
Again thank you
Anyone else see that donut cushion and mistake it for one of those haemorrhoid ones?
Good vid though
I’ve got protein bars with 20-21 grams of protein(depending on the flavor) and only 150-160 calories
I eat protein bars as a treat to replace what I would have eaten before I started dieting such as a chocolate bar. To replace protein after a work out, I like to eat some nuts
Bia bars are awesome! They taste like PB fudge!! Honestly, the Cinnamon twist Combat doesn’t taste as good as i used to!
There is an alternative to eating fifteen servings of phytochemical-rich veggies when you get old and scared. The alternative is to eat a decent diet starting when you’re a kid.
Remember Granny? “Eat your veggies, it’ll put colour in your cheeks.” “Yeah, but Granny, I don’t WANT green cheeks!”
Sorry, kid, Granny is right: and it’s one of those nice surprises you’ll have to study science to understand. Green veggies give you pink cheeks. Amazing!
Your personality is just mesmerizing. You always have a huge smile on your face just lightens my mood every time!
I’ve heard that Keto diets are good. BUT I DONT TRUST THEM AT ALL. the experts say that people should be on a ketogenic diet SHORT TERM and that long term Keto diets are dangerous. ME?… NO KETO FOR ME!! I don’t trust Keto because of the extreme lack of vitamins and minerals from the extreme lack of fruits and veggies. THIS IS A GREAT VIDEO….. Also watch Charlotte Gerson on YouTube.
Honey has a large glycemic response in insulin resistant people.
Plant based diets are extremely healthy. Meat based diets are dangerously unhealthy. This is a great video!!! Also watch Charlotte Gerson on YouTube.
My top 3 favorites are:
1. Healthy Eating All the Time and Go
2. Rx Bars
3. Perfect Bars (only as a special treat because they’re so sweet).
I also want to try the LaraBar Protein Bars.
[I can’t have any artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols (including Stevia) so my protein bar options are fairly limited. Unfortunately, that means I have to make sacrifices in regards to the amount of protein in my bars compared to other people].
Burger? No cheese no ketchup no pickle no lettuce no tomato no onion no thanks
This is Great! Sounds like you’re promoting the (“mild”) Ketogenic Lifestyle with a lot more vegetables Very (extremely) similar to Dr. Eric Berg recommendations. NICE!
Bredesen protocol almost exactly the OPPOSITE of what dieticians have prescribed in the past. Yeah, there’s overlap with some veggies but the Bredesen emphasis is on KETOSIS which is low carb AND FATS. Dieticians have been all about high carbs and low fats.
keto worksonly problem is, 95% of people don’t do it well or healthy. They eat just meat and unhealthy fat which is TERRIBLE for your arteries and inflammation.
I loved your video on “healthy fats”. Would you do one on carbs: healthy vs unhealthy carbs? Under the umbrella of carbs there’s A LOT of foods and variations (eg. wholewheat bread vs white bread etc) and its all so confusing and it’s hard to differentiate what’s what. I mean, I only just found out recently that fruits are a carb! Mind blown!!
Meats as condiments. Exactly. I eat meat sparingly and almost never eat dairy. Blend up walnuts as a replacement for butter or margarine
Great video! Can you do a video on the Pegan diet? I’m currently trying it, and I feel significantly better. Hard to get rid of fat phobia, though.
If you’re looking for some tasty and clean protein bars you should try rxbars or the perfect bar (the peanut butter one is like eating a bar of pure peanut butter )
Are some people actually buying that stupid jawzercize product featured before the video?
I’m vegan so maybe I should just eat a block of tofu. They should just make a tofu bar (meat bar alternative) lol
You mentioned an oil called “Algo” or “Alga” oil. Can you spell that or tell us more?
The stevia sweetened quest bars are about as no-bull as it gets, as far as ingredients lists go. And they taste amazing, love em.
Do you have a similar video but regarding autism? I suspect the dietary advice is very similar. Also, is there a name for the “plant based mild ketosis” diet she recommends? Also, is this genetic testing advice the same for adults with autism? (I work as a caregiver for autistic adults, and i also follow the same diet she recommends for myself.)
Have you ever tried Perfect Bars? I think they are by far the best on the market.
Great video! The Maple Glazed Donut One bar is my fave. It’s sooooo good!
This video summarizes everything I’ve learned in biology this week. Just call fats lipid and I would say this is bio class
I heard last week that there are 36 factor, that could be harmful?
Definitely like this kind of video. Double seal of approval.
I am allergic to coconut. At first it was the protein part only, like Coconut milk or flakes. But now I react (trouble swallowing) to oil as well. Coconut oil is in everything now! I can barely find an ice cream that has chocolate in it, that doesn’t use coconut oil. Chocolate bars are also now using it. What about people like me?!?
Nice video but this should apply to everyone for overall health and not just Alzheimer prevention. Unfortunately, this kind of eating is expensive and takes much more time to prepare as for many often it is just easier to buy a ready-made processed meal. But then again, spend the time and money to be healthy is a lot better than spending the time and money on doctor visits and medicines. I think the jury is still out on a plant-based diet being the solution. I think there are just as many out there pushing for a high fat meat-based diet. But either way, HFCS, simple sugars and processed foods should definitely be reduced, if not removed and work for a balanced diet without grains. Two POVs to consider, Robert Lustig & Mark Sisson.
I love the information you always provide. You’re my go-to person regarding health. I’m curious where you got your blue light glasses! I just got some but I really like yours!
Oils and fats are highly processed foods, so no wonder they are considered bad. But fats naturally contained in plant foods, in moderation and if you’re not suffering from heart disease, are more conducive to a good balanced diet. I’m confused about the fish thing and this constant necessity to eat the rainbow?! That can make things expensive and complicated for most and so much more confusing than whole plant based foods with no added oil. Butyrate comes from the result of eating plant fibre and omega essential oils are much better taken in their parental form LA and ALA, rather than as the non essential EPA/DHA If these are not already rancid before they enter the body, they definitely are as soon as they are ingested. They’re fine in very cold deep water fish, but not at 37 degrees centigrade. The brain is flooded with a super high dose of rancid oil that it has to deal with. Plus, it only requires DHA in very small amounts. Anthropologists link the huge growth in human brains at around 800,000 years ago to the further development of our amylase enzymes and cooking tubers. The brain is a massive glucose consumer, which is it’s preferred source of energy and widely available. I also don’t get the hour of exercise a day, plus being active…necessary if you’re tanking a lot of calories from oil, but is that sustainable and safe? Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not an expert and this is just my point of view. I’m a 57 year old plant based male and have followed this way of eating for around 7 years after doing a year of 5:2 fasting. Which was great, but unsustainable for me at the time as I was cycling to work each day and kept forgetting to eat enough on the feast days. I’m a big fan of this channel and thanks for a really interesting interview!
I’m not sure if you can get them in the U.S but in the U.K the best protein bars by far are called Grenade carb killa’s. The flavours are out of this world. The. Peanut Nutter is my favourite. You should give them a try if you can source them.
Can you please do a video on how to get back to normal eating after keto?? I have carbapbobia now
Oil is recommended?
Do these oils damage the endothelium?
Is damaging your endothelium something worth doing just for the sake of being in ketosis?
Aren’t there more effective ways of getting into ketosis that don’t damage the endothelium like fasting?
WOW!!!! Thanks so much for creating this video!!!!! This is awesome! It is so good to have a better educated opinion on protein bars and snacks! Keep up the awesome content!!!!
Such an awesome and informative video on such an important topic. Thanks Ladies.
I missed the mention of small animals kidneys, liver, harts, Glands… I know there is a vegetarian wave that makes it not “politically correct” to talk about this but the facts are there to check. Most vitamins are fat soluble, not water. This animal parts contain huge quantities or vitamins and minerals surrounded by fat. They used to be part of our diets and were included in everyone’s daily cooking. Make sure they come from grass fed animals and small, if possible, to make sure they have not been vaccinated or medicated in any way (a cow is a costly animal to loose but a lamb or a chicken are not therefore there is no need to spend extra money on preventing an illness)
The maple waffle is another awesome flavor. It tastes like its name suggests: A waffle drizzled with maple syrup. These bars are the best in terms of macro breakdown compared to other protein which are high in fat, total sugars and fillers.
Maybe u have bad biceps because you don’t know how to curl a barbell
I just switched from a cut to a bulk. Why couldn’t you have made this video while I was still on a cut lol. If I cut again soon then I will definitely have to buy some of those snacks.
I just want to say thanks! I’ve been looking for a good tasting protein bar with a low amount of sugar. I went with the cookies and cream, and it tastes pretty good!
Loved this style of vid Rem!
Was actually eyeing the hamburgers today but all my local had was 80/20.
Went with the 97/3 turkey and added some 3 pepper onion veggie blend with Mexican seasoning. Chili Garlic sauce is a bonus.
You should weight your self fasted before drinking or eating
Thank you!!! I LOVE that you arent telling us what to eat, just divulging truth to what is out there. No one needs to be judged, and that’s what I love about you and this channel.
So basically don’t eat anything but water… is what your telling ppl in a way because literally there is an issue with every single one of those you mentioned…
sean I’m addicted to these things! I got down to 2 a day. Is it bad to have these delicious bars every day????
Sean, can you do an article about Blood flow Restriction Training, I’m really interested on whats your thought on it, thank you

Thanks for the review Sean. I’ll definitely try these quest bars out.
