I have tried the armband but don’t like it, too constrictive. I bought a flip belt and had the same issue, it fills with sweat and becomes uncomfortable and hot after awhile. It would be great in 70 degree weather but anything over that not so good. What i would like is shorts with a spandex like liner with a pocket in the liner to keep the phone from bouncing around. I just cant wear half tights lol.
PATH projects shorts fit my iphone xr in the rear with no bounce plus 2 other zipper pockets for car keys or gels
Why do you need your phone while you have Apple Watch. You can play music and track your run having only watch
Nike makes great 2 in 1 women’s shorts (I think the model is Eclipse) that are short and light enough for most summer runs, and the inner tights have a big pocket on both legs. Plus a back zipper pocket. I race marathons only in these.
RoosterWrap “Cell Phone Safety Harness” You can use your phone while its still connected. @t
suctions have to be tolerant to the heat (sunshine) otherwise it come off the window from time to time
I also love ru Ning, especially with my dog. Runs 2-3 times a week, 5 to 10km and intervals. Except the last months since I have a problem with my right heel
Man that Intro was amazing
You make quality content Keep it up
Kofuzi:” so today I will be talking about how well shoes act as fins”
But that intro was awesome, yhe view and music as well!
I tried many options but running with a phone in shorts pocket still feels uncomfortable. I usually go with waist bag / pouch that I can put my phone and keys and maybe card in there (combined errand-run). You can adjust the tightness, water resistant material which means you can use it everyday and wash quickly. Another plus size is you can use it for travel as well.
On another topic, I’m happy with my ip5SE as long as Apple doesn’t start ditching the old phone users. If I need a bigger screen, I’d just go for a tablet or a laptop. Just my preference.
I hold my phone. I have a finger ring case on my note 9. I like to be about to look at my mileage, maps, and change songs as needed. The weight of the phone doesn’t bother me and the time case ensures that I would just drop it because I have my middle finger through it. It works fine.
Solid carry! I’m team adidas armbands have become much more comfortable within the last decade.
Yeah I wanna see you do the drop test without editing the video. One take!
Patagonia strider prothe best running shorts ever made. You can fit a iPhone XS. I even have them with a Spigen rubber case on them.
Great review! I bought one of these this morning, and was actually swayed by seeing a picture that I’m sure is yours on instagram!:) keep up the running, and if your ever near stalbans parkrun lemme know so we an run together:)
Have you tried a waste band for your phone? I find it nice to have it centred on the middle of my lower back as opposed to on one arm which started to make me feel a little weirdly assymetical on long run when training for my first half marathons and a marathon.

How about winter/fall tight pants with a phone pocket?? I just ordered 2 different Nike tight pants and none of them have pockets large enough to fit my iPhone X… I will return them:-( I have an older Nike tight pants that fit my phone perfectly but I can’t find the same model, it’s probably been discontinued.
Another proud supporter of the SPI Belt here… just a great product that does what it’s supposed to do well. I have the larger sized iPhone and it fits well.
Or just use an mp3 player with a clip. Just clip it on your shorts running earphones up through your shirt.
Have you had any trouble with the seams of the pocket or Velcro wearing down so far? How often do you wash the vest?
I use an Ultimate Direction comfort belt. Its simple, lightweight and stretchy so it doesn’t absorb too much sweat.
If I don’t feel like running with a belt or vest, I like my pair of Adidas Men’s 4KRFT shorts that are a short/tight hybrid that have a side pocket that fits my S7 without bouncing during runs. Combine that with a Nathan handheld bottle for water and key storage and I’m set.
You could buy a Salomon ADV skin set usually used for trail and lighter than . It will not cut or irritate your skin.
I like to put my phone in a sandwich bag, sometimes two, just so the sweat doesn’t get to it. I enjoy the music. Never tried the arm holder. I usually try to buy shorts with quality pockets but it can be tricky when running fast and the phone starts bouncing around. I’ve gotten used to it and buy shorts that are a few inches above my knee so that the phone is more secure than in the usual shorter shorts. In the winter I put the phone in the bags and if it’s really cold ill put it in a sock. Without the sock, if it’s colder than 20 degrees, my phone usually won’t last more than 30 minutes. Which is certainly bad for the phone. Thanks for the video! I always enjoy your content.
I bought one pair of trail shorts from Decathlon and they have a lot of pockets. I put my phone, gopro, keys and one softflask
I run every run with an Spi belt and small flask that attaches to it. It holds my phone, gels, and water. It’s water proof, dries fast, and it’s only thick in the area of the pocket. Almost two years and still happy with it. It’s small enough it just tucks under my shirt.
Have you had any trouble with the seams of the pocket or Velcro so far? How often do you wash it?
As for me, Watch Series 4 and AirPods. Musics are saved onto the watch…
Your shoes don’t has enough control for pronation… Be careful.
Nice video. I have got something similar recently for my car and also use at home which even hang around my body. Check https://careyourself.store/products/hands-free-flexible-cell-phone-holder-usa
I run in the mountains so some times my phone is useless so I just use my watch. However good advice like always.
Which equipment do you use for filming when you run like camera, stand etc.
I run to escape my phone. Otherwise I’ll get called 5-6 times each run. For races that require it, I usually buy a separate sim and use an old dump phone.
When I see people running with an armband phone sleeve, their running forms are always unsymmetrical in gait and adversely affects their strides. The flipbelt is what I use if I choose to bring my phone.
Flipbelt is my choice.. been running with it for almost 2 years..
I’ll just attach a little loop/wrist strap to it and carry it in my hand:) But I’m not running with a videocamera as well 😉
I use Tunebelt which I bought off of Amazon. Just started with the handheld water bottles.
Yeah I have a flip belt that my mon had gotten me for Christmas so I can carry my phone but whenever I run but I cant where it cause it collects too much sweat on my lower back in that pocket but I use it for the winter time when it gets dark early so me and my friends can see eachother from the bright reflected belt and we both have lime green so yeah and soon I’m going to be running a 5k in August and thank you and I have never heard of the trail shorts so I’m going to order asap
Great review, I think you have me sold…thank you for the detailed info!!
Hi Michael, have you ever tried these bum bags or fanny packs excellent for carrying cell phones etc while running https://amzn.to/2O6RKk1
just curious, why you like to run on the water & get the shoe wet?
Glad to see you’re keeping your shoes hydrated, Mike. Cant leave those new bals thirsty in this heat.

I wanted to personally let you know that you insulted me with your choice of fucking music on this video oh my lord my ears hurt
my daily phone is the iPhone XS, kind of heavy, I kept my iphone 6S just for this reason as you said. the 6s is light, records in 1080p 60fps so it works for me.
also i make sure all my shorts have pockets, gotta have the music. bounces around a little but you get used to it, especially with a lighter phone.
Thanks for the video. I have bought recently a unique phone holder which hangs around my neck and i use on my car too check here https://careyourself.store/products/hands-free-flexible-cell-phone-holder-usa
Quick question… Why carry your phone if you have the series 4 watch? Can’t you stream music from your watch and leave the heavy phone at home? Fantastic video and I love the use of colors in your videos! You have a lot of talent!
I do not like to wear anything, besides my clothing, not even a watch. So I just held my phone with one hand while an ergonomic ‘runner’s’ water bottle with the other when training in hot sunny Singapore. So far as good.
I was thinking of getting a belt for running, but was concerned with the phone getting wet as the belt accumulates sweat. I have been holding my phones to run so far.
Thanks, good to know. But feel like, it might accelerate the deterioration of the shoes; however, it’s cool on the video
I run with an armband, I’m so used to it regardless of temperature (and it gets hot here.. more of the fact it doesn’t get cold). Haven’t transitioned to a watch as do enjoy music as well… And this seemed to only be on limited devices, but more are coming with music capability so that is promising.
My issue I have with shorts is that I hate the bouncing / oscillating phone in a pocket creates. Granted I am not a tights kinda person but will keep an eye on zipped pocket to try to give me more ‘confidence’.
My wife is enjoying the flip belt for her due to the secure fit.
If you can afford and Apple Watch or anything of that sort and wireless headphones go for it. Running/working out is why I bought them and it’s one of the best purchases I have ever made.
I use WOLACO compression shorts and they have 2 pockets…I used them for both of my marathons and they worked perfect!
air vents were and never are designed to hold anything, ergo anything attached to them wobbles and in the end the thin plastic of the vents breaks.
Haven’t ran with the phone since I got the Apple Watch with LTE in last two years. Music, Podcasts, Audible all in the watch. Only drawback is if you want to snap a photo while running you’re out of luck. It’s not for everyone but works well for me.
Kofuzi just going for a casual morning swim…with his shoes
Love your vids canoopsy! How you talk is also very relaxing
To me it’s so hard running with phone. It keeps me off balance since I got a huge ass phone
In chicago u may need a phone to call for help while being murdered.
I was thinking of buying an iPhone 5s it was very small but the new SE seems good or the Samsung s10e. Definitely someone needs to do a good sub 6 phone. I have the 7 plus with me only because my fitbit versa does not have gps. Either that or I will upgrade to a watch with gps and music storage lol.
why would you need your iPhone for music if you have an Apple Watch
Nike Utility Running trousers. They’re no longer available on Nike.com, but I own 3 pairs and they’re great. Tights on the bottom and sort of a looser, light Dri Fit material on top, with 5 spacious, secure pockets. You can definitely find them on ebay or whatever.
85 days, 23 h and 46 minutes to the Chicago Marathon
Chicago, we‘re cooooooming
2 things. Naked running band, and path projects shorts. Both are awesome and I use daily.
The PERFECT solution for me were Under Armour football compression shorts with pockets. I flip them inside out so the 5 useable pockets are on the outside and it keeps my phone, keys, water flasks, etc secure against my leg/hip without any annoying bouncing around. For $15-30 each, I have 3 pairs that I rotate on my runs.

I don’t understand why one couldn’t just hold the phone in their hand? Silicone cases are lightweight and “grippy”. I welcome any opinions on the matter.
Are there any discount codes available at the moment. Website quotes them as being £29.99?
Years ago I had something similar called a k-vest it fitted my Walkman and was a bit more secure fastening than that one. Unfortunately haven’t been able to find them any more.
Every time i see that fountain, i just can’t help but remember Al Bundy saying something funny to Marcy. Oh yes, small running belt that can hold my phone and keys. The weather here is not above 20 C in the morning most of the summer.
Nike slim waist pack is awesome! I put my iPhone XS Max in it and I’ve had no issues
When he said the bottle I use, I thought he was going to show a LTT bottle
@kofuzi I run with Nathan VaporKrar 20 waist belt that can hold iPhone 8+ / Pixel 3XL. The material is ultra lightweight, thin and breatheable and dries much quicker vs Flipbelt. Also comes with 20oz body flask if you with to carry hydration along.
A Fanny Pack. I pair a HR strap to my phone. Each 5 minutes I get vitals from my phone to my ear buds. I ve looked into Smartwatches but they’re not particularly accurate, except for the high-end ones. Total cost $110. HR strap and fanny pack
My Beacon 1 will be super soaked and uncomfortable in no time if I run in the water like u

I really miss running but my country is in estrict quarantine .
What if your sweating so much? Does it not damaged your phone?
I purchased this and my phone keeps jumping out of the pocket whilst I run. Thats with me using a phone case to ensure the fitting is more secure.
I contacted the company but got a useless response, they just advised me to buy another one. So I now use gaffa tape to hold my phone in. Which ultimately works but ends up being rather painful exercise
The other annoying thing is during a long run you can’t see the screen as it gets all misty.
Excellent idea, just needs more work.
I’m just waiting for a copycat company to create a version that works.
Why do companies overdo it with the logos? I wouldn’t have bought one if it wasn’t for all the damn logos
The movement of it is actually quite simple to fix. Just add some Velcro pieces to the inside and you will have a more stable product.
Whenever I see your subscriber number I felt like it’s fake. Don’t you guys think he deserves at least a million subscribers coz the kind of videos he shoots…love your video quality bro……your videos are far better than people who have 5 million subs…. Anyway keep going
Love from India
I tried something similar. Have you seen this product? http://www.ShieldFlow.com
FlipBelt is the best, in my opinion. * not a sponsored comment*
Brilliant topic. Oh that humidity today was insane! Fascinating to have water spots around Chicago, not as common in Denver.
Got mine on amazon very cheap and reliable

Canoopsy after ringing someone’s doorbell
“Hi, Canoopsy here’ lol
Great video but I would suggest ditching the 11 pro max on runs. Very easy to have music and podcasts sync to the watch and listen from there instead.
Lately I’ve been running with Under Armour Speedpocket shorts and tights. They are like built-in flipbelt and work great! Downside is you can’t really store anything else other than the phone. And UA are known to be expensive. But if u can find them on sale, highly recommend them
lol been running hard for a few weeks now and this came up from canoospy. Guess it means I shudnt quit. I run with the renew run but want to upgrade to the joyride soon. Shameless nike fanboy here.
I was really happy with the iOttie, but when it gets really hot in car it simply falls off. Am reluctant now to buy any which are supposed to stick to the dashboard or winshield
suction to glass yeah, suction to the dash top Im not feeling it.
I’ve been looking for decent shorts with zipper pockets and only knew of Lululemon. Thanks for talking about other options.
With the first two, you have to keep buying new cases when new phones come out. The 3rd Visnfa looks to be a universal fit and isn’t purposely designed to be obsolete as new phones come out, so it gets my vote.
flipbelt is what i use, and by far is the best. i put the phone in front, but off center so it doesnt bounce much. i sometimes switch it to the rear too, but i find slightly off center in the front is best, sorta above the hip flexor. the belt also is usually over the waist band of my shorts so moisture has never been an issue, even for a full marathon…. and i live in Los Angeles where its toasty
Best Phone holder, excellent price, great quality.

Waist band on the back of 7 inch Nike shorts have been my favorite so far! Fits my iPhone 11 no problem
Just bought a supreme running waist bag fits my phone pretty good small enough band to where its unnoticeable
I love how people do drop tests in flat surface.. Imagine if there’s just a 1cm rock or piece of wood where the phone lands.
Interesting concept. My leggins have a pocket so that is where I put my phone
I suggest you lean a little forward (and relax your shoulders) when you run:) I noticed that your upper body is too stiff.
Great video! Few vlogers give this kind of information. Thumbs Up!
I also love to staying active in a techy way.
•I wonder if a OnePlus 7 Pro would fit in the armband you use?
Two things. Why are you running with your iPhone AND your Apple Watch? Second, what the hell is that drinks bottle for?! You do know there are hydration bags designed for running (think CamelBak Dart)
Hey I haven’t been running lately but I noticed you have awkward form try to relax and not to heel strike because it leads to shin splints
I use “The Zipster” by Nathan, a belt with 4 pockets, two elastic and two with a zipper. It’s great for carrying your phone, keys, gels, ids, bars and so on. However, it doesn’t drain water pretty well.
Are the shoes more comfortable and better for casual running than Adidas Ultraboost?
Your foot strike will give you injuries, better change your shoes I think you need shoes which will give you stability
I never knew you were a Chicago runner where do you run in the winter time???
Best investment for an avid runner(other than shoes) is a smart watch. Take my calls, listen to my tunes & check my HR.
Great video! I would love to see an updated What’s on my iPhone vid!
Also, that shade to Swell is accurate AF.
umm no offens but your thumbnail tho.. is kinda.. you know.. kween:)
3:06 WTF How can it hold phone if it is not holding itself. Be careful when buy it. It cannot stand on Car panel.
Paid, they sent a confirmation and a tracking number but nothing ever sent. Complained, they said the fixed it and nothing changed. SCAM!
I recommend longboarding, it feels so much better and has kept me in great shape. But to each their own.
the problem with putting your phone into the short pockets is that they’ll bounce around everywhere during the run and that usually is even more annoying/uncomfortable than having like an arm sleeve
You can see you don’t know how to run! Lol you don’t land on your heel moron it’s a great way to fuck your joints up
pfff ameteur, you put your hands back straight, lean into it and then run.
I use a SPIbelt which I wear on the small of my back. You can tighten it up nicely which takes away any bouncing.
It’s shelter-in-place not quarantine.
quar·an·tine
a state, period, or place of isolation in which people or animals that have arrived from elsewhere or been exposed to infectious or contagious disease are placed.
“many animals die in quarantine
Thanks for a great review Laura! Is it hard to snap back to up position when looking at phone while running?
Hey Canoopsy, have you tried different forms of running? Like a forefoot or mid foot strike instead of a heel strike? I’m not trying to criticize your running at all, just genuinely curious.
Loved the video!
Thanks for sharing this windshield, dashboard and air vent smartphone car holders review.
iOttie Easy One Touch… Qi Wireless and Olixar TriMount are my favorites.
Keep up the outstanding job!
I don’t have a GPS watch, I don’t have wireless headphones, but I do have a Flipbelt. Even my cased Note 9 fits in there. All problems solved.
Instead of buying $250 shoes, go see someone who can analyze your gait, foot impact/strike and form. Seeing how you feet are impacting when you landing/planting needs to be corrected. I had my gait recorded and worked with a specialist, mainly because my podiatrists let me know that the way I was running my ankles and tarsals will be trashed by my late 30’s. But good on you for getting into fitness, I wish more people would take care of them selves.
I knew Harris was going to be the expert before he even was shown. Big fans of both of yours and just recently got into running myself. Keep up the great videos guys
I love this content been running 6 km four times a week absolutely hate and love it
Have you tried Path Projects shorts? Their pockets are pretty generous and each pair has 3 or 4 pockets so they are pretty spacious. They only downside is some sweat getting on the phone.
I was just looking into getting new shoes, those Nike shoes really tempting..
Do the magnetic plates interfere with NFC or wireless charging?
running vest or just my apple watch sans phone more often. Or I take a smaller old phone to take photos.
If you’re all in the Apple ecosystem, just have the newest Apple Watch, AirPods, and you’ll be able to call anyone, and play music from Apple play or Spotify, and use GPS, and run Strava.
Running is amazing! Thanks for having me on and keep up the great training + content!
@Canoopsy nice video… Are u on Strava? That’s a lovely app and community.
Been enjoying running myself lately. PB 18KM at 5:11/KM Average Pace.
Either the Lululemon shorts with the phone pocket in the liner, or an SPI belt.
Pls start blogging and give a house tour because you are amazing.
Adding Nikes to my list of things I need at the start of the school year. Right next to Apple Watch and iPad Pro.
This a great review. Very in depth and so simple. I’m going through stage where i can’t seem to find a running belt that I like. Just one question. Do you think the vest would move around more if you had a smaller chest? Thank you so much for the review. X
True, smaller phones are better even if they don’t last for long daily.
GUB GUB GUB haha get GUB best phone mount basic and fits almost all smartphones i use a GUB plus-6 with my Samsung Galaxy A50 on my Radrunner from Rad Power Bikes works great
Would it be okay to store gels in there too, or is there not really sufficient space if phone is already in? Strongly thinking about this or something similar for my long runs. Used pockets on each run for gels so far, I guess I could use those still. I’ve was bought a black waist belt for that but it didn’t fit snug so I am looking for something for phone, and gels.
I do take my phone, and I store it in my tracksuit pocket, it hasn’t fallen out yet fingers crossed
i highly dislike those type of fake “reviews” as well, where its just a montage of products and amazon links
I have the QuadLock for my iPhone 11 Pro. I’m looking for a power bank for long rides which could be attached as QuadLock, does anyone tried something like that?
I have spandex that I wear underneath that I can slide my phone into the side of my thigh and I ordered them from amazon for $15
its 2019 get a smartwach already.use iPhone get the Apple Watch. Use android, get one android smartwatch. Simple as that no need to bring your phone
Do you take your phone with you when you run? Where do you store it?
You’re right. The Flip belt is super hot/sweat absorbing. I’ve liked other hip belts that are made of mesh. (Like this one from amphiopod: https://www.amphipod.com/products/holders/day-of-race/airflow-microstretch-belt). The pocket is stretch, divided, doesn’t bounce, and it breaths. just have to careful of sweat on the screenside of the phone, but i just stash mine facing out and it’s fine.
Didn’t fit my phone, and you to keep taking it out everytime you want to see your running info.
I tried to send it back and they refused as they said it had been used. It was out of the back for 10 mins whilst I tried the phone. They destroyed it and refused a refund and I’m out of pocket. Crap company, avoid at all costs.
Watching the video today just so happened Apple did release an iPhone SE updated version. Probably they listened to runners lol
Thanks for the info about the touch sensitive phone cover. I was wondering about that after other reviewers’ vids didn’t mention it.
Have you had any trouble while running that the button at the top pops off by itself?

Great video. I started running again in March, and so glad I did. It’s a great way to decompress, and relieve some stress. I hate starting a run, but it goes away a few minutes into it. I also love the feeling of accomplishment once I’m done. Now I need to go find a deal on that water bottle and shoes.
What phone is it please? I am worried my Galaxy Note 10 Plus won’t fit
Apple Watch Series 4 GPS+Cellular and Bluetooth earbuds. All I need to take with me, it so nice!!
Bro you should absolutely not go with the next% everyday!! And they are not for amateur runners! They are for pro‘s who know exactly when to use them. They can cause seriously damage to your body if your running technique is not perfect (and sorry to be rude, but your‘s is really far from perfect). But glad to see you enjoy you running:-) keep it up! Just consider to go with a second pair for everyday runs (like the infinity reacts)
Running is so much fun! As someone with knee, and feet problems, I’d recommend Brooks! They are super comfy and help when it comes to certain feet, and knee problems. They are also more affordable:)
Somehow this video has convinced me to get off the sofa and start running
Great review. Got mine the other day and love it! The lights are excellent too. All the other reviews seem to be from fellas so it’s good to hear that it fits a lady well too
Thanks so much for the great review:) Does it keep your phone dry in the event you get caught in the rain? Wishing you continued success with your running journey! Cheers from Canada, Scott
