We eat natto every day here in Japan. LOL. That’s a staple in my diet.
This was a wonderful video and very pertinent to the Self Isolation period.
Could you clear up my confusion regarding spinach? I see to find conflicting answers as whether it is necessary to steam spinach or ok to eat raw? (Due to oxalates and danger of kidney stones if raw?)
The problem with nuts and seeds is the higher omega 6 to omega3 ratio.. polyunsaturated fats are also highly unstable and oxidize verry easily and verry quickly when exposed to air, light and heat. The nuts and seeds you buy on the shelves, nut butters, flax seed oil ect by the time you buy these products oxidation has allready occurred. Your almond butters all sitting on the shelves in clear jars exposed to light and heat
A molecule altered in any way shape or form is useless (physics and chem 101) or not the same as it was before altered no longer with the same functions… instead it is harmful.
The nuts and seeds you buy also don’t have to taste rancid for you to notice.. so the best choice is fresh nuts in their shell straight from the tree.
Oats have high omega 6 and polyunsaturated content, we know omega6s to be pro inflammatory.
We need a ballance, that’s why you should include fish because only fish has EPA and DHA which is needed to make the omega acids more bioavailable. Plant source omega 3 only contains ALA which is not the best kind.
Vegetable oils, canola are mostly all hydrogenated and again oxidize when you use it for cooking at even a low heat. Olive oil is a better choice but still a fragile oil, use to cook on low to moderate heat.
It’s not saturated fats or even sugar that’s killing us, it’s the polyunsaturated fats, oxidative stress. Because the Food we eat nowadays not fresh
Eat food fresh!
I have many issues with your review of his diet. Smoothies are not meals. Protein powders are processed. Soy is a phytoestrogen as well as being one of the most GMO plants on Earth. There is no good source of cholesterol, B12, A, DHA, EPA, carnitine I could go on. The greens are very high (as are beets) in oxylates. Even vegan Jesus Dr. Greger says greens choices other than beets and spinach are a very good idea due to the fact that they can cause kidney stones among other things. Whatever vitamins are in these “meals’” are struggling to reach his bloodstream due to the enormous levels of fiber in his diet. He’s hungry because his food is not nutrient dense nor are the nutrients available to him. You will see this mass consumption with vegans. Alarmingly, the farms and agriculture that is supplying the plant material are using pesticides and killing literally billions of rodents, birds and insects in the production of plant food. This is sad because the vulnerable watch these vids and think he’s helping the environment but to the contrary he is not. You have a responsibility to call these “influencers” on their BS. Yes, your views will suffer because you will have to acknowledge that we are not herbivores. Supplements are not food. Game Changers is propaganda and has already been debunked. James Cameron invested $140,000,000 in a pea protein processing facility. Sounds kinda shady? It is. Please review so called vegan strongman Patrik Baboumian’s WIEIAD and you’ll see 5 shakes a day plus more phyto estrogens and indigestible fiber. Want to help the Earth? Promote a diet high in grass fed beef where the agriculture is completely sustainable. One animal dies not millions like in traditional vegetable farming. Take a stand against this nonesense!
Love this myth breaking videos, I follow Sanne but would not CANNOT eat what she eats, i would most deffinetly starve to death if i did
It seems like some of these people live off of smoothies..I also agree that drinking the smoothies is another way of hiding extreme dieting behaviors, and not for you to detox your body..
Word has it that obese people are laughing at this video while eating a carton of ice cream
How do you review all these healthy plant based eaters, and still pay to torture and murder others?
Things look good but I guarentee anyone who actually has an appetite will be left unsatisfied. I’d like to lean towards adding this into my diet but no one shows you anything simple to start. Theres so many tiny things that would run your wallet dry.
Derek eats so much! If I ate that much, I wouldn’t fit in the door.
You know what you dont have to eat carbs if you want a low carb diet and prefer keto because it makes you mentally sharp and have so much energy to get through the day then so be it but I disagree with anyone who says that you NEED carbs
As a vegan trying to ensure I’m getting the right amount of nutrients whilst also not giving up deliciousness in the process, and thus a recent fan of Derek’s channel, I found this review to be seemingly unbiased, very detailed and extremely helpful, thank you!
No refine oil not mean no fat… nuts, seed, etc, and Avocado if you wont help Mexican cartels, and helping Mexican babies to be born without anus
Many people can go weeks without food and be fine if not better. Why do they act like people can’t even handle eating. Oh wait. Yeah merica
I wonder how bad my what I eat in a day may seem to her um
I skip breakfast, eat half of my plate of lunch which is usually very small plate to start with lmao, then skip dinner and that’s it:)
How she pronounces Sanne Vloet is hilarious to me (as a Dutch person). Aside from that, I love these videos of Abbey <3 <3
Do antioxidant foods really prevent oxidation in the body and disease? Like it works in the lab but how much science can prove this. I am curious
If you try natto, I suggest you eat it with a bowl of Japanese rice. Check out EmmyMadeInJapan, she has a few videos on natto. She makes it look good but phew, the smell of it ain’t the best.
As someone with a HCL acid deficiency, lemon water has been AMAZING for my digestion!
I don’t agree with many claims you make, the way you are reviewing scientific literature is scarce, please go thorough with investigation of topics like reversal of CHD. There’s thousands of studies about heart disease and diet and to draw conclusions all studies with strong epidemiological evidence should be reviewed, not only the ones that advocate your point of view, there’s experts that do this already, claims like the ones you do confuse the population. And might I remind you that high HDL is not an indicator of reduced risk of coronary heart disease, even though its mechanism might seem it would, literature says it doesn’t.
I did appreciate her suggestions for increasing vegan proteins.
Du bist neidisch!! weil du nicht wie Sie bist!!
Sie haben nichts anderes zu tun, als nur zu kritisieren!!!!!!
EXACTLY MY REACTION when I hear youtubers talk about lemon water
Wow i want to watch someone critique and criticize your videos. Now that would be worth watching. The rest of your videos, not so much.
Gross.
Great interview. Lots of good information. Thanks AJ! Love Brenda Davis! ❤️
I personally love Sanne and her videos. she’s so bright and inspiring with or without perfect knowledge on nutrition. She isn’t a nutritionist, and she just likes to share what feels good for her own body. she’s always talking about how everyones body is different and how you should listen to it (eating if you’re hungry, resting if you’re overworked, ect) Most of her videos are her speaking on self love and motivation and not being hard too on yourself. i learned a lot from your video! but for people who have never watched her content before i wanted to mention she’s so sweet and she always admits that she’s constantly learning. I find it hard to watch this though, because you seem very condescending in parts. Again though i learned a lot from you! You seem to know a lot about what you do, and it’s amazing that you choose to share your knowledge on these topics with a large audience. I personally would feel this would be more enjoyable to watch though without the eye rolls and the side remarks on the parts you disagree with. Though of course i am not one to tell you how to run your channel! just my personal opinion ❤️
Can you review Autumn Bates “Autumn Nutrition”? She focuses on balancing hormones through diet especially insulin.
Sorry nutritionist, not regulated means you can call your self anytime. In the old days we called them quacks. The problem self proclaimed expert is that many are just in for the money, trying to generate as much views as possible, their clips are rife with myths, half truths and unproven facts. For example it is still not proven that anti oxidants really help, first it is not very good absorb from food, second you make it naturally, third you can upset the balance in your body, forth it seems that free radical are used by the body to get rid of bad cells such as cancer. Still more research is needed but so far no research has definitely shown that anti oxidants in your food will prevent you from getting for example cancer. This message is so pervasive, even registered dietitians are promoting it. Even the USA has removed the beneficial effects from anti oxidants from the guide lines. And this is just one example. There are so many myths and frankly i do not believe they are helpful. It only muddy the water more than anything else.
I mean obviously whatever she’s doing is working she’s lovely and slim with clear skin ♀️
Would love to see a video on healthy eating for post-menopausal women to combat the post-menopausal weight gain! @abbeysharp
Can I suggest looking at Emily Ewing? She’s vegan and she does a lot of “what I eat in a week” videos.
Please stop mentioning the not using oil in every of your videos. It’s annoying and stupid. A lot of vegans clearly eat enough healthy fats and don’t need to consume empty calories such as oil. I’d rather eat avocados and nuts and feel full and satisified and skip the oil that makes me nauseous and sloggy
Lovely video but the way you’re pronouncing her name is giving me a stroke
I suffer from digestive issues and I can’t take pills because they make it worst and lemon with hot water really help me to
First of all, you horribly mispronounced her name, second of all, if you knew anything about Sanne you would know that she uses an app to track the amount of protein, fats, etc. she consumes in one day and adjusts accordingly, and third, models typically work out hard in the morning and don’t want to be digesting heavy protein during exercise. I would be more willing to watch your videos if you had your facts straight and left out the snarkiness.
Im pretty sure its pronounced Sanna Vloot btw (she’s dutch ok)
I also love Derek food videos. Thanks for reviewing him positively
I’m SUCH a huge fan of your videos! I actually recently decided to shift my career to a more health-focused path and am currently studying to become a certified holistic health coach, and you’re such a huge inspiration to me. It was also really nice to hear your message in the beginning of the video regarding registered dietitians and nutritionists! Thank you so much for being so informative in all of your videos! <3
He is my favorite YouTubeer! I trust his advice and his food is always soo colorful!
There’s a lot of misconception about models and their diets. I eat relatively the same as I did before I started modelling and very similar to Sanne. We don’t all starve ourselves and if you have a small waist naturally one would eat less. I personally like having a smoothie bowl or chia pudding for breakfast because for me it’s filling and heavier foods in the morning don’t work for my body. xx
Assuming that she exercises moderately to vigorously everyday or almost everyday (which I think is a safe assumption for a model) how is it possible that she gets enough calories?
Eleştirmek için eleştirmişsin ve o greek yoghurt değil turkish yoghurt aptal.
Where did she come up with 60% carbs, 24% fats & 16% protein? How can she know that, or does Derek state that in one of his videos? I’m asking, because obviously she wasn’t there to measure out all of his ingredients.
I love Derek! He is a gift to all vegans. He mostly eats flawlessly and he is the mark to strive for. If I have one complaint it’s his message that goes something like this….. “‘If you eat enough calories from an assortment of varied foods you will get enough of everything you need.'” This sounds great but it’s bad advise especially for those who are new to veganism. I’ve tried that and finished my day of eating fully certain that I met all of my needs and when I’ve plugged my day into chronometer I’ve found to be way way under certain nutrients. I understand that’s it’s ok to be low every now and then an that one must not be one obsessed with tracking but if you don’t track at least till you learn and every so often you run the risk of becoming chronically deficient. Also, these deficiencies may make you feel like many vegans that quit because they didn’t feel well. Maybe all they needed was to just tracking and adjusting their intake for a bit. Does this make sense? Again, love Derek and Abbey as well. Cheers
Could you review Sammi Clarke’s what I eat in a day please?!
Nah, she eats a wide variety of food… Also, models don’t work the way other people do, just like full time YouTubers or working from home people. They won’t need as many calories as e.g. Waitresses, construction workers. So, first of all, I don’t get why anyone would follow a random YouTube persons diet and second of all perhaps those people eat the way that suits THEIR lifestyle. Second of all, obesity is a wayyyy more serious issue in the western countries than people who eat vegetables (I’m not talking about people with anorexia etc) yet there’s soooo many people on the Internet commenting how unhealthy a skinny, healthy person is but when it comes to obese/ extremely obese people it’s less likely that they will get crisitcised for their diet. Everyone thinks that fast food is so “relatable” and that healthy food is gross. it’s literally killing people. It is NOT just about appearance, it’s about health man…
This dietician doesnt need to be so harsh. I’m cringing so much.
I’m really looking forward to the rest of your male nutrition analysis vids. I bet your male demographic is small, but we’re still here!
That lemon in the morning will make my stomach acid go madddd.
I want to say that the breakfast smoothie with the 3.75 approx of protein added is like half an egg so… not bad considering she got her fat from the avocado in there with
I’m vegan and I try to get in oil and healthy fat into my diet but I’ve started counting calories since I’m trying to gain weight and I’ve added quite a bit of food into my diet but I’ve noticed when I make tofu cook onion or fry up some potatoes or bake them that the amount of oil just takes up a large portion of my calories and I’m getting in about 2800 a day. I try to eat quite a bit of avocado, peanut butter, nuts and seeds and to me oil itself doesn’t satisfy me as much as putting peanut butter on toast with flax seeds and not just bread with vegetable oil butter. Could be all in my head.
Let’s make a game out of this for a little added fun. Take a shot of whiskey every time she says “protein”.
Can you review Maryana Dvorska? She is a Gymshark fitness personality.:)
So apparently nothing detoxes your body?? What about Chinese medicine or Ayurvedic Cuisine? They all have used food as medicine. Protein protein protein that’s all I hear on this channel.
What’s your opinion on soy? I’ve heard that it’s bad for you
99% of you won’t read this….
But to the 1% that does, I just want to let you know that you are beautiful and whatever struggles you are going through will come to pass. Stay blessed and nothing but love from a small YouTuber. Would appreciate any love and support back
Clicked on this vid to see what your honest review of Derek was. You lost me within the first minute with your fucking product plugger. See ya
Hey, is there any science to back up kimchi being ‘good for gut health’?
Love Derek’s videos… he’s inspiring, honest and always defers to scientific evidence. <3
I’m sorry if this came out as rude but why is the audio for this video so low I had to turn up my phone’s volume to the max to hear what you are saying
Chef AJ, thank you so much for all the amazing interviews you are doing and valuable information you are providing!!!
nutritionist that limit her nutrition with a vegan diet whaat?
A review of a raw carnivore would be really interesting as well
Derek offers lots of choices for people focused on eating primarily vegetables. Hence chopping fresh gives you the best. After all isn’t taking the time worth the health of your family. Also heart disease being the #1 killer in the US, maybe you should study Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn How to reverse and prevent heart disease. Everything on our shelves contains oil. I also cook oil free and it’s easy. Derek at Simnett Nutrition is the best!
I clicked on this video solely because of the side eye bitch face on the thumbnail cause it made me LOL ahahaha ICU ICU with your clever way of luring people in (it worked lol)
Derek is a champ! I think his goal is to do better, which he inspires people to do, not to do perfect
Ok but like you don’t have to come at her for putting in only 3ish grams of protein in her smoothie. Those 3 grams may be all she needs along with the rest of her day. And the statement “why get out a whole new container” is just lazy imo. Every gram counts so if it’s “just” 3, then fine
There are doctors that don’t recommend oil. I listen to them and I guess Simnett does too. That’s why I like his cooking videos.
https://youtu.be/b_o4YBQPKtQ
The pasta actually doesn’t need to be in a big pot of water! I thought this, too, but apparently it doesn’t make a difference, and if you use the pasta water for the sauce, its sometimes better to have less water with a higher concentration of the starches.
I agree about not rinsing the pasta, but not because it rinses off the salt. Its because it rinses off some of the starches which aid in the mouthful and the development of sauces. The salt ends up INSIDE the pasta during cooking.
Wash and precut veggies and store in a large container. Then you are set for several days. I eat way more variety in my veggies that way.
I’m not trying to yuk anyone’s yum but why do men who have been vegan for a while start looking effeminate, the skin looks dried out, and their eyes always look tired is it a diet issue or just a coincidence?
But I read yesterday that things like coffee, cold water and ginger can increase metabolism. Is that not true as well?
I love Sanne’s channel, haven’t watched too many of her “what I eat in a day” videos but what drew me to her wasn’t necessarily her diet, it was more of her personality. Maybe she’s not eating “perfectly”, whatever “perfect” means, but who on this earth can eat “perfect”? Even if she’s missing some nutrients or calories on her “detox” days, whatever she’s doing is working for her and her career.
I was wondering that do you take permission from the people you review to you their videos. I just found out your channel and really like these type of content.
Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn says no oil. There are YouTube videos were he explains the science behind this.
Thank you Chef AJ. Another engaging and informative interview. Brenda Davis is an inspiration and so are you!
Why shé is nééding glass!!! Shé has misséd sométhing;

As a fan of Derek who uses a lot of oil in my cooking and takes supplements, I feel entirely legitimated in my life choices!:P
Thank you Abbey!!
Whether you care for lemon water or not, I can say from personal experience it helped me lose a lot of weight by staying regular in the mornings, especially when I am on the go and unable to eat enough fibre or just don’t want to.
Everyone has different caloric needs to maintain their weight. Sanne is rather thin and doesn’t need the same calories as someone who is overweight or close to….
Abbey, I really enjoy your videos! Thank you for always being sassy and Scientific! Your videos have given me a plethora of knowledge and heightened my awareness on diet culture. Also, giving me confidence in trusting my intuitive eating. Thank you Thank you!
If possible I’d love for you to review Anna Victoria’s what I eat in a day. Also would like to see a video on suggested foods during a women’s menstrual cycle.
Thank you so much for everything
I love seeing Americans trying natto! So fun When I grew up eating it, we add some Japanese mustard, soy sauce, and green onion over rice! After introducing it to my partner, and seeing his reaction, I now realize it’s not easily received very brave!
The Fruit Doctor on Youtube doesn’t eat dark greens either. She eats a lot of romaine. She has very interesting videos on the medical test results on her own diet, however, which may be relevant to the person who asked. I agree with Brenda that dark leafy greens and cruciferous vegetables are of prime importance, but The Fruit Doctor has super interesting results. Also, please emphasize to everyone that if they eat a lot of dark green leafy, they need to drink at least 8 cups of water a day. I did not drink much water because I do not like it. I ended up with severe tooth enamel loss. I now drink at least 8 to 10 cups of water. I drink it warm and that has made drinking the water easier.
He’s a fabulous vlogger. I’ve been watching his channel for years. Dig it!
Love abbeys videos!!! Love the research, the disclaimers on ads and sponsorships, and the facts!!! Abbey doesn’t hate on anyone she just breaks down the information and talks about facts and science which I am a huge fan of. There’s so much weird and false nutrition info online and these videos are so helpful!
Abbey, you seemingly reeeally wanted to hate on Sanne initially here. With all the “air quotation marks” and shitty vibe. Why the attitude? Sanne has to be one of the least problematic celebrities out there. She’s not pimping diuretic tea or starvation.
I love how in the thumbnail abbey and derek are looking in the same direction
I’ve actually read a lot of academic articles about how good lemon water can be for you in the morning. It has a lot of health benefits. It might not “detox” or whatever but it certainly does have benefits.
Do you have a video to discuss your credentials or those of a registered dietician/someone certified in nutrition sciences? We got some dinguses in the comments basing those credentials as “not real”
Derek does really well! Hes one of the best at getting it right I think
Would you consider reviewing vegan Zanna Van Dijk? I don’t know if she’s massively popular but I think her meals are just, great.
Damn. Does this guy look like he needs a supplement? Look at his glow, his energy, his physique, his colourful food! TBH you look and sound like you could learn something from him.
I was Vegan for 2 years and eating nothing but clean! Clean whole food. To just find my self gaining a lot of weight easily and taking more vitamins and supplements to support what was lacking. I exercised as usual and nothing changed from routine when I was vegan and lost tons of muscle mass and gaining a lot of fat. And every day I would feel incomplete like was lacking something. It felt like you lost your phone and can’t find it. A emptiness. I started to suffer from saver IBS problems. The fiber was killing me. Believe me tried everything you can trie to feel better. But no luck. Then I broke and decided to try to reintroduce fish and eggs back into my diet and started to feel a ton better. My IBS was almost obsolete, my skin started to clear up, my muscles started to come back, I started to loose weight again and my mental state changed to more of a positive note and felt like I was not missing anything anymore. I found my phone! Then I started to introduce all animal products back in my diet and felt like I was whole again. I missed me. Thank you Jesus for animals I believe he put them on earth for a reason I’m give thanks to every animal that I put on my plate. This is my experience you my not have the same experience as me being vegan.
what kind of fool does not toast their pumpkin seeds before eating them? smh, there’s no point in making your food gross on purpose.
how can you be vegan, when there are oxalates on most of the plants, their consumption leads to kidney stones.
correct me if I’m wrong
Honestly I think this video is unnecessary.
1: Sanne never said/named her videos “how to detox” or “what to eat to be a model” or “how to lose weight.” It’s literally just her diet and what makes her feel good. She has even said before that she is not a nutritionist but that this is what works best for her.
2: there are different ideas of “detoxes.” You May think that a detox is when certain foods magically clean your gut or clear your skin, but honestly when I think of a detox I think of a day when I eat lighter/more greens and fresh food (not processed) so that I feel less stuffed or sluggish from a day or two of heavier foods. And honestly it works.
3: when you talked about her eating out and then feeling the need to get a detox and you said something along the lines of “sometimes you just gotta eat” like yeah Sanne never said she felt guilty or like she did something wrong, she maybe just wants to feel more clean the next day.
4: pointing out that it’s ok to eat more calories than this / she’s not eating enough isn’t good. For one, she may not get hungry all the time or maybe her metabolism is slow or she might just love to eat/feel light. And two if you are saying it just to make people who overeat from time to time feel better then that’s also bad because people should never feel guilty about what they eat, but they do need to be guided correctly.
5: oh and wanna quick tip for making an argument? (I took a logic/argumentative speech class). Lose the attitude. Unless you are talking to 4th graders it makes you sound uneducated. It makes it sound like your opinion is more valuable than facts themselves.
thanks for reading ♀️✨
Just wanted to say that in many states using the term “nutritionist” is regulated by the same body which issues the license to registered dietitians. Also, those who are board-certified as certified nutrition specialists (CNS) can, in many states, obtain the same license to practice as an RD/RDN giving both types of practitioners the same legal standing. In those states, both the CNS and RD/RDN can have LDN after their name. Also, in order to obtain the CNS credential, the person must hold a minimum of a master’s degree from an approved program, have 1000 supervised hours of practice, and pass a national exam. That is the pathway I’m on. More information can be found here: https://theana.org/certify.
As much as we should not promote guilt around food we should also not be saying model figures are unrealistic body imagesbecause that is literally their body. Some people if they don’t overeat, actually just have that shape. It’s not unrealistic.
You aren’t being very kind. There’s a difference between constructive criticism and your tone in this video.
Your kidneys and liver detox your body not these detox trends.
I have a recurring sinus condition…all I have to do is use a nasal spray though.
Thank you for sharing Chef AJ! Where can we find the footage of you and Brenda cooking together?
Asia and middleeast: “chai/cha” is the word for tea…..
The rest of the world who was introduced to chai centuries later: “I love chai tea!”
“Chai tea” is redundant. Stop calling it chai tea. Also, while on the same subject since so many western people butcher it up: “naan” is the Urdu/Hindi word for bread. It’s not “naan bread,” bc again, that would be redundant. It’s just “naan”.
Just chai, just naan.
Well we have to admit it Derek is that kind of person that u cant say anything wrong about him, hes just a human being as we all should be. And i liked the review a lot!
Omg this is the first video I watched of Abbey and I absolutely love her! Subbed immediately
You just gained a sub. Though it would be nice if you edited the footage in rather than film the screen because the audio levels are way off. thanks
Great video, Abbey. Derek has helped and inspired many people. Curious to know if you’ve ever tried a properly done whole foods plant based diet yourself?
Every time she is reviewing a vegan eat in a day, she seems to be so obsessed with protein and oil. Food has protein (spinach, rice, nuts, etc). Nuts and seeds have natural oils.
All I can think is damn if I ate like her I would be hungry all day long.
Your comment about chopping all those vegetables everyday. How you and most people don’t have time. I got two words for you… Food Prep.
I feel like this is an excuse to criticise someone who doesn’t eat like the rest of us. If Sanne doesn’t wanna eat a big breakfast then leave her be.
Abbey I like your video on Derek I am mostly Vegan but I like learning about the food combining.. Can you do a video on bloating..Thank you From Florida..
I really think your energy is negative, vicious, envious & coming out of anger. It’s sound critical but out of personal issues! Sorry but hope you get better with personality! Blessings
I get the point about asking a nutritionist about their qualifications but they could really say anything and my eyes would just glaze over and I would say “uh huh, yeah, okay” and move on with my life. I am not qualified to recognise a properly educated nutritionist. And isn’t this a catch-22? You need to be a qualified dietitian in order to correctly recognise another dietitian or nutritionist.
vesanto melina had hip replacement. why? inspite of eating healthy vegan diet
one thing you didnt discuss is sodium. i think a lot of his food looked great but i suspect he goes significantly over the 1500mg per day recommended to optimize blood pressure and reduce stomach cancer risk.
She literally watched all of her old videos. Her current eating habits are WAY better. And whose to say whats good for her and what isn’t. It’s not our business.
I love Derek’s videos! He has great recipes that I have used
The warm lemon water thing is from ayurveda. I don’t think many people promoting understand why they are doing it.
Now is not the time to eat healthy. Eat your junk food, and food that you like. Get comfort food. Get food that tastes delicious even if it is not healthy.
You don’t want to eat healthy now, while isolated, and still die from the virus.
I’ve been a soy-free, lentil-free vegetarian for 25 years and I’m always looking for protein advice!! This was helpful!
There are several break in ads so this dietician is making money, obviously. I definitely think of eating light days when I have eaten too much starch or protein. I get a food baby pretty easily! So I would like her to address how to debloat, especially for vegans.
I drank lemon juice religiously for a few years and ended up with so many cavities (even with drinking through a straw). I hate the trending misinformation on youtube as well!
I heavily appreciate youre honesty. And the fact that you made a video to bring someone up. And not a bias hatred. Spread love. I appreciate you
I have found that having my dinner to be my biggest meal gives me more energy throughout the day and good sleep at night as long as i do not eat too close to bed time. I also cook with no fats to eat more food because i love to eat and would rather use up my calories on carbs and still maintain a healthy body fat %.
I really wish the whole “smoothies for breakfast” fad would die already. People seem to think it’s essential for weight loss or good health The only time I’ve ever had smoothies for breakfast was when I was deep into my eating disorder. Since recovery the idea of it just screams disordered to me.
Thanks Chef AJ for all these wonderful, informative and very important interviews!
I had an ad for Dominos play during the video and burst out laughing
Please do a review on Olivia Budgen what I eat in a day video. She is a raw vegan and I use to look up to her eating and I’m sure a lot of other girls and even guys do too even though her way of eating is honestly i think is really dangerous now. Like all she eats is a green juice, mini pineapple, and small lettuce tacos like what so danergous for young woman like myself that use to watch her videos
Am I the only one that thinks this is a really passive aggressive way of educating society? Slandering individuals…
You need to update your knowledge on processed Oils, their are so many better ways to get the vitamins/fat thru Whole Foods
Now this is the kinda content I need to see what do we have here?
Darn! I wanted to hear the ingredients in that beautiful salad bowl!
In the past there were issues with the background audio being too loud. With this video, I’m not really able to turn my volume up high enough to hear your voice easily. I’ve been watching your videos on the same device the whole time so that’s how I’ve been able to notice the difference. I hate to make this comment because I know you have made a lot of changes, but maybe just turn the master volume level a little higher? Or not! It’s up to you!
I just love lemon water because it’s sour I love sour food/drink so much. The idea of lemon can boost your metabolism and digestion is kinda uhm….
But I love Sanne
Nobody can give Derek advice in nutrition. His lifestyle concerning diet and exercise while enjoying himself is perfect. He inspired me so much to eat healthy and do exercise that I actually like and be more active
2 things: Vegan diets make you eat way too much! My god I don’t eat more than 3 meals a day! Usually I don’t each lunch at all.
Secondlyvegans seem to be so obsessed with nutrients and vitmans and portion sizes and preparing food, like what is happening here?
I read lemon in the morning will alkalize your body and this is very good for your body’s ph also it has a lot of vitamin c so it’s better than regular water
So many carbohydrates. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of nutrition would realize how unhealthy that is.
what is a detox? just an example over the words about ginger: Ginger eliminates free radicals(toxic substances), and it is an antioxidant, so it means; it “de-toxifies” your body.
You are so negative! Even when they’re eating something that’s fine you have to find something bad to say:(
#WellGoodSquad!!♀️ Definitely need this since it’s Freezing in NYC already.
Any other Mexicans that cringe when people say GUAC!!!! It’s like nails on a chalkboard!! haha
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfqsXKWDzqY You need to do a part two! Sanne is “resetting” her body. Is this thing she is doing even safe?
You eat natto with rice soy sauce and mustard. It’s really good
Will you please review Autumn Bates she is a certified nutritionist with her own YouTube channel. I just feel like her ideas about food are so restrictive but she claims to back up everything with science. Would love to have your take on what she puts out there. Thanks for your videos and your encouragement to eat intuitively. ❤️
Veggie chopping is too cumbersome for most people?! Lol what?? Lol it doesn’t even take that long to chop veggies… and the whole bit about oil♀️
I looove every single video you post <3 Sanne just uploaded a new video on the elimination diet and I would love to know your thoughts about it!!
I started watching your channel and I’m in love with you lol! You are the first dietician that embraces different types of diet and you are not bashing the vegan diet. I like that you look at it from a dietician point of view and your recommendation are vegan options too! My mom is battling cancer and we went plant based after she was diagnosed a year ago, and because my dad passed away from cancer 7 years ago (we use to live in an area that was a cancer cluster bc of well water). When we spoke to a dietitian because the hospital provided us with one and i wanted her to have a plan during chemo of the ups and downs with eating. The dietitian didn’t know how to help my mom and she didn’t know what to say because she wasn’t familiar with a vegan diet. I went on the hunt and found a holistic nutritionist that was featured on what the health documentary on Netflix and she has help my mom and I tremendously! As we evolve with our diet, I would love to find a dietitian in Washington DC that wouldn’t bash a vegan diet. But awesome job! I would love for you to do a review of Jill from the whole food plant based cooking show, Sam Cushing, and the couple from EatMoveRest!
I was just thinking I wonder if she reviewed Sanne Vloet and there it was on the right. Yay!
It would be great to have a link to the channel of the person you are reviewing. Some of your videos hightlight people and channels I have never seen before, but would like to learn more about. Like you mentioned in this video, I saw recipes I would like to try. A link would be great to ensure I find the right channel, rather than searching the depths of youtube hoping I find the right one.
Time to dig out that breadmaker you recieved, maybe as a gift, that you forgot about! I bought one at goodwill last year for 3.99. A loaf of homemade bread costs me 62 cents… flour, yeast, salt, sugar and water, thats it unless you decide to make raisin or cinnamon bread.
You dump the ingredients in as directed, turn it on and it does all the work.
Love watching your videos! I’m currently a medical student so hearing all of your tips and tricks for easy healthy eating has helped my routine immensely! I was wondering if you could make a video on intuitive eating or healthy eating for those on ADHD medication such as adderall. I’ve been on this medication for the past 6 months and have found it difficult to gauge my body’s signal. I lost over 20 pounds initially and recently gained back 30 pounds as my body adjusted. With a wedding approaching in a year, I’d love to hear your thoughts! I’d also love to hear more about rebounding from restrictive eating to get your body back on track instead of incurring major weight rebound. As always, thank you for your content and refreshing view on nutrition!
Thanks for these videos Abbey! I learn so much and it’s nice to listen to someone that has actual knowledge and gives an honest review.
Keep in mind as a model people do eat heatlhy but they also has to ristrict a bit more than normal people.
Running from the corona virus & you gain 50 lbs. Smh…deaths ALL around ppl
We are all individuals with different needs for how we want our bodies to to look. I don’t like videos of ” nice critique”.
Edit: Note that Sanne is a model, and yes, they often do need to eat way less, but her diet is actually not bad at all.
Why do you keep saying slow burning carbs with whole grains when fruit is actually lower on the glycemic index and therefore by definition don’t spike blood sugar….??
Not long enough. I could listen to these lovely ladies for hours.
Derek is a good example of a human being in general. He is always kind to people. The vegan diet he eats is absolutely healthy for the human body, it’s better for the environment unlike meat and dairy, it’s kind to the innocent animals who don’t deserve to die, and it does not cause zoonotic diseases like covid-19. Go Derek!!!!
Chef AJ and Brenda Davis=2 WFPB Heavy Hitters!! Thank you, both!
