Hi. Can you please tell me which Garmin watch downloads routes from Garmin connect. If I go into menu go to courses touch an activity I have created and then send to device. This monitors whether you are on target or not. My Garmin Forerunner 230 is not compatible. That’s why I was wondering if you can please help me.
Amazfit Stratos & Pace should both be on the list, they have far better features than a lot of the ones on the list
Was happy with my old 225 until it broke a month ago after many years of use. Bought a Forerunner 45 as it has a better heart rate sensor, plus Glonass and Galileo to add to GPS, plus a longer batter compared to the 235. Really happy with it and it doesn’t feel like a beginner watch at all to me.
Bought the fenix 6 sapphire first but I returned it for the 945. That washed out blue screen on fenix really makes that watch look so cheap & mildewy. Def not worth the $800+ in my opinion!
Polar Vantage M is horrible, hr is off by 20 bpm… don’t touch this product.
Hello..
Between
polar ignite
forerunner 735
I am a runner amateur jogger
4 weekly outings of 10 km each.
My smartphone is huawei
how could you put apple watch on 2 second place? ) fenix 6 is 10 time better
Hi Anna, I’m new to your channel and really like the stuff you are doing.. I’m looking for low budget smartwatch with GPS and want if you can please review review few watches like Honor, Huawei and few others watches which are are low in cost and how they stack-up with flagship watches. particularly in terms of accuracy..I know they recently came up with few smartwatches with amazing battery life but they are good for day to day tracking as well. Looking forward to check your review!
Im a uni student who doesn’t have much money. I can’t afford a nice looking running watch but I was able to get a used Polar m200 for $35 and a refurbished Samsung watch for $150. (This is Canadian dollars). The m200 does heart rate, gps running, polar flow with auto sync to strava, easy to use with physical buttons, so it does all my running needs. I only wear the m200 for running, cycling and swimming but the rest of the day I’m wearing my Samsung watch. I guess my point is you don’t need to find 1 watch that has everything. You can do what i did and get multiple that are good enough at what they do even on a budget.
It’s a bit older and basic but seriously the Amazfit bip is great cheap semi-smart watch with built in gps for run tracking, massive battery life and a perfect starter watch.
If you have an Apple phone, the watch is the only option. But might as well get the 5 now, same price. Apple Watch paired with Galaxy Buds+ are the only tools you need. Leave your phone at home, and listen to all your stuff from your watch. Including texts, and phone calls. Ridiculous.!!:)
Whats the best one for skinny wrists lol I want the 245 but will look big

Love my Garmin Vívoactive 4 it’s like wearing a shoe, doesn’t feel right if I leave the house without it even if I’m not running
I will say something you will not like-xiaomi mi band and honor band had the same accuracy in pulse monitoring as the top smart watches
The term entry level needs some qualification.
e.g. I’ve been running for 35 years, but so far haven’t gone down the tech path –
I measure routes online, or with an OSM, use a 20 quid Casio watch to time splits/results, and my fingers do HB measurements.
I quite like the idea of GPS for route measurement etc, but I don’t want bells and whistles.
I DO want reliable GPS tracking and hook up, accurate distance measurements, and the option to DL to a
laptop or desktop.
Wired tech, What is that I hear you ask? The greatest videos, honest reviews and extremely interesting content EVERY TIME I respond!
I have fond memories of my Swatch watches back in the day
Have you had a look to honor’s magic watch 2, the list of features for the price seems very promissing, any feedback on this one? I have a forerunner 235 which I’m quite happy about and the magic 2 seems to match the 245 music but with a touchscreen but we get little feedback from actual runners in this one.
Does the Garmin 735xt have the pulse oxidity sensor you mention here with the 935? Regards.
Cheers Mike! I’ve bought the 245 on your recommendation and I’m very happy with it
How does the Garmin forerunner 645 compare with the forerunner 245?
hi my GOOD FRND I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THESE FITNESS BANDS RIGHT EXACT ACCURATE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD RATE OF CALORIES BURNED AND STEPS TAKEN OK FRND ACCORDING TO
EVERY INDIVIDUALS BODY HEIGHT WEIGHT OK FRND
IT SHOULD BE VERY VERY VERY MUCH 100 PERCENT ACCURATE AND ACCURACY WHEN IT COMES TO STEPS TAKEN AND CALORIES BURNED OK THESE BOTH 2 THINGS ARE MAIN MY FRND IN THE ROAD AND JOURNEY
SO PLZ KINDLY REMAIN THIS THING IN UR MIND MY FRND AND ALSO PLZ TELL ME THAT ONE OR TWO FITNESS BANDS MY FRND WHICH SHOULD COST NOT MORE THAN 35 TO 40 DOLLARS BUT IT CAN GO UP TO 45 DOLLARS ALSO IN PRICE OK BUT NOT MORE COSTLY THAN THIS OF MY RANGE OF MONEY MY FRND
I MEAN I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THIS THING THAT WHAT THESE FITNESS BANDS SHOWS IN THERE LCD SCREEN ABOUT OUR BODIES CALORIES BURNED AND STEPS TAKEN BUT ESPECIALLY THE
CALORIES BURNED MY FRND WHICH ARE VERY VERY IN ACCEPTABLE AND IN ACCURATE AND VERY WRONG NUMBERS WHICH THEY SHOW ON THERE SMALL LCD SCREENS TO US OK FRND
I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHAT AND HOW MUCH SHOULD I CONSIDER ACCORDING TO THESE BANDS OF OUR CALORIES BURNED OK FRND THIS IS THE MAIN THING IN LOOSING WEIGHT AND FAT LOSS MY FRND OK
SO ARE THEY VERY VERY RIGHT ACCURATE AND EXACT AND SHOULD THEY ARE CONSIDERED SAME TO SAME LIKE ANY GYM MACHINES ON WHICH WE EXERCISE DAILY LIKE TREADMILL, ELLIPTICAL, ROWING, STATIONARY BIKE
OR ANY STAIR MASTER OR ETC ETC
BECAUSE I AM VERY VERY VERY MUCH FED UP AND VERY MUCH BIT OF CONFUSED STRESSED OUT AND BORED AND TENSED OF THESE FITNESS BANDS AND WATCHES MY FRND SINCE LAST MANY YEARS BECAUSE NOBODY NO ANYONE OF THESE FITNESS BANDS
OR WATCHES GIVES ME THE RIGHT AND MOST ACCURATE ON THERE LCD SCREENS REGARDING CALORIES BURNED ACCORDING TO MY BODY MY FRND OK
IT IS THE MAIN FOCUS ISSUE AND CAUSE IN ANY FITNESS BAND
THEY DOES NOT GIVE U THE MOST RIGHT AND ACCURATE AND ADEQUATE AMOUNT OF CALORIES U HAVE BURNED DURING UR ANY AND OR ALL TYPES OF EXERCISES MY FRND LIKE WALKING, RUNNING JOGGING SLOW JOGGING FAST JOGGING SLOW RUNNING SLOW WALKING OR FAST RUNNING,
JUMPING JACKS OR RUNNING ON THE STOP AND ETC ETC OK FRND
AND THAT FITNESS BAND OR ANY SMART WATCH SHOULD BE VERY VERY MUCH SAME AS LIKE DITTO ANY OF GYM MACHINES WHICH WE HAVE IN OUR GYM FRND LIKE ANY TREADMILL OR STATIONARY BIKE OR ANY ELLIPTICAL OR ROWING MACHINE OR ANY STAIR MASTER TYPE OF ANY TYPE OF STEPS TAKEN AND CALORIES BURN TYPE OF MACHINE AVAILABLE IN GYMS OK FRND
I WANT THAT SUCH TYPE OF ANY FITNESS BAND WHICH IS VERY MUCH SIMILAR LIKE OF OUR GYM MACHINES WHICH WE HAVE IN OUR GYMS OK FRND
THEY SHOULD BE VERY VERY ACCURATE EXACT AND RIGHT IN ANY MANNER FOR TRACKING OF OUR STEPS, KM DISTANCE, HEARTBEAT AND THE MAIN THING IS CALORIES BURNED OK FRND
PLZ FOCUS ON THIS CALORIES BURNING MY FRND BECAUSE THIS IS THE MAIN THING WHICH WE ALL WANT AT ANY COST MY FRND OK
TELL ME THAT THING TO ME MY FRND BECAUSE I AM VERY VERY BIT OF CONFUSED FROM LAST SINCE MANY YEARS IN THIS THING TOPIC OK FRND
HERE I AM GIVING U ONE EXAMPLE OF MY DAILY STEPS TAKEN AND DISTANCE COVERED AND CALORIES BURNED NOW U PLZ TELL ME THAT
IS THESES NUMBERS AND EQUATIONS ARE VERY CORRECT ACCURATE AND RIGHT LIKE ANY GYM TYPE OF MACHINES TELL ME THAT TO ME MY FRND OK
I MEAN THES STEPS THEY ARE SHOWING IN PARTICULAR DISTANCE COVERED AND THAN CALORIES BURNED IS THOSE OR THAT NUMBERS ARE BEST GOOD AND RIGHT
SO PLZ TELL ME THAT FITNESS BAND WHICH IS PERFECT IN TRACKING AND TRACING OUR STEPS TAKEN AND CALORIES BURNED
PLZ FOCUS ON THESE TWO MAIN THINGS MY GOOD FRND OK
SO PLZ TELL ME THE MOST EFFECTIVE AND RIGHT AND ACCURATE FITNESS BAND
FRND PLZ FOCUS ON MAIN TWO THINGS THAT WHICH ARE CALORIES BURNED AND STEPS COUNTING TAKEN
TELL ME THAT TO ME MY FRND OK
I’ve got my garmin forerunner 45 which i find great it is really good i’m 13 years old and i found it really helpful my dad has the forerunner 975 and the only difference i notice is the swimming bc his is a tri watch:)
I wanted to buy a smart watch so much until i saw that RF exposure on human body
In my 30s. New to running. Boy I lose my belly fast. Love it!
I had the Suunto Ambit 3 (as a Christmas present) for outdoor activities, especially mountaineering and alpinism. Great watch but not really made for running, plus it’s quite big. When I started looking for a watch more adapted to my city life (I’m studying in a big city) I found the Suunto 3 fitness, the only downside i found so far (I’ve been using it for 6month) is the GPS that only works when connected to the phone with the GPS activated so you need to take your phone with you. But it makes a good watch for city sports and for a fairly low price (you can find it for under 100€).
Try a touch screen with sweaty hands or in rain…they are a nogo….I’m using the FENIX6XSAPHIRE and it replaced the Apple Watch 4 Garmin gives me all I need
i went from 235 to 945. Its pretty awesome, i get music, and tons of running metrics that are really interesting on what your doing. It also has color maps which i didnt think i would use, but i can go to places ive never been and always know where i am, plus you can just tell it to give you a round trip of 4 miles and it gives you directions. lots of features. love it.
I don’t know if I’ll go for the Garmin 245 music or the Vivoactive 4S, Because it has a small version and it also connect with music. Beautifull, but the downside is that it has a toutchscreen and the 245 music. That one is bigger, but it has buttons and better running features.
I started off with a Suunto Spartan Sport WHR it’s a bit of a mouthful but a great watch. Must say I like the look of the Polar range it’s just hard to pull yourself away from one brand to another almost like starting again!
been confuse which one between coros, garmin, and polar to choose, now i can be sure which watch to choose, great content mate, thanks!
no offense but this review was utterly pointless for the majority of people looking for a watch! it’s just a lot of “fairly priced”, “great watch”, etc..
It’s nice and all trying to not downgrade a watches quality but I haven’t heard constructive criticism in terms of price, user base differences, interface and app compatibility etc… f.e saying the Apple Watch is a great running watch is just not true and might mislead people in their buying decision! Haven’t really found any reeeeeally good reviews on Youtube so given that it’s not the end of the world, I would have hoped for more still however!

The smartphone race has ended and thus begun the smartwatch! Now I see smart watches going for upwards of £800! Madness. When will be see an automatic watch that does not need charging will be the day the watch is worth £1k including the heart rate monitor oled screen.
no review on coros or suunto? what about the casio pro-trek?
For road running and sometimes trail running what do you recommend? not so heavy and big as 6x. I was thinking about 245 but its without barometer, maybe coros apex? or 935?
i just bought a 235 but i am thinking about switchig to 45. is this a good move?
Haha you guys must not like the instinct would like you guys to do an instinct and also the new casio h1000 what do you guys think about the instinct as an outdoor running and kayaking watch
Running Watches? nice ideea. I will goona make myself to a review on my channel.
Is the Forerunner still available the USA? and at what price?
What about the Samsung galaxy series 3? And the garmin vivosmart 4?
Hi Running Channel. I have my garmin 220 running watch and fitbit so am looking to combine the 2 for evetysay tracker but good enough running watch to give me the stuff I need. Looking at lower end of budget so wanted to know thoughts on first two shown garmin 235 and 45 or polar ignite. Which one would you recommend? Video kind of lent towards polar.
What do you look for in a running watch? Hit us with your top priorities.
I have a Fitbit charge 3 and the problem is that during my run the screen turns off. It has a wrist movement sensor, but it doesn’t work well. Does the Garmin 235 stay on during a run?
I’m looking to get a new watch for running and I am torn between getting a forerunner 235 or a forerunner 45. anyone have any occurrences with these watches that could help?
I am currently deciding on a running watch for my birthday. I’ve been considering the Forerunner 645 but there isn’t that much info on it. Does anyone have some experience with it? Is it worth it?
Surprised the Garmin 645 wasn’t mentioned, but I do love the suunto
Iam a beginner in running, please suggest me good running watch below 300 euros with gps, and which one is best polar or Garmin (heart rate sensor)
Decent video but only touching on some watches, missing imporant things. Next to that it’s loaded with Garmin which is not fair compare to other brands mostly workhorses from Polar Vantage M (which got most features of V version) and Sunto series 3 then 5 and 7. Overall any smartwatch and definetly sportwatch is better to exersise that using mobile. I can’t help but smiling seeing all those people with they big Iphones, Samsung strapped to arms:D Maybe some day they will learn that is beter to spend money on decent watch that will last longer than newest mobile hit ^_^
Great video! I was wondering what size Fenix 6 Pro you prefer? Also, one of the Fenix has a blue band…is this a replacement band or one sold by Garmin?

Gutted I missed the argos sale on these £99! I’m looking for a good deal on the 245 now.
When I first started doing any excercise in general i got a fitbit versa so it’s 2 years old. Battery is still pretty strong for it being 2 years old and the only bummer is taking my phone on runs. I am getting more serious on running so i might consider getting a Garmin.
HI I used 235 and edge 25 for mtb, I saved up and upgraded to Fenix 5x and loved the training status and vo2 max recovery time, Since covid 19 I’ve taken to Trail running and all my training status has gone, I get a message (run twice outdoors with a heart rate to see your status) does this mean none of these functions work only on flat roads or track running. is the fenix 6 the same?
i have a samsung galaxy watch active and garmin forerunner 15
What about the Garmin 645?
I thought it would be better than the 245
All I want is an easy to operate and find distance, pace, heart rate, time screen, with Vo2 max, and fitness test.
I would run with my phone for a long time and it was a pain in the butt! Bulky and nervous to drop it all the time. I got a Garmin Forerunner 225(very basic watch) used for $100 so that i could finally get rid of my phone for runs. After a year I love having a running watch so much i’m deciding to get a 245 and couldn’t be more excited. If your on the edge of getting one, buy one used for cheap that works properly, see how you like it and then go from there. They have a great resale value so you can always sell it if you don’t enjoy it.
Was quite happy with my old garmin 405, but garmin 245 music, serious piece of kit.
You could also review running apps. There are quite a few out there. I usually use 4 of them simultaneously in my phone because none all them offer at the same time the most information (cadence, maps), features (segments, leaderboards, routes) or the most accuracy or reliability. I hope market competition and accumulated experience will contribute to improve them over time.
I am still confused. And can’t decide. F6X amazing look (and also top price), has maps and great battery life but too heavyweight.
So, wanna maps and light weight? FR945. Oh, but that ugly design:/
Or wanna light weight and great battery life and nice design? There is COROS. Great, but I really that type of tradition and quality over the years with rich data collection in app and website.
So Polar grit X? Don’t know. You tell me.
I will lose maps, but for good price I will have nice design and good battery life with acceptable weight.
Q: But is polar grit X better running watch than FR945?
Hi, thank you for the great reviews! Which would you recommend between the Garmin Forerunner 245 and Polar Vantage V?
My 1st tracker type watch was a VirginPulse max buzz. Then as i start picking up running, i upgraded to Huawei Band4 pro as it has gps .
So far so good for its price, although its a lil slow to lock on gps. Details like vo2max, cadance etc only viewable using the app
@The Running Channel, Do I need to pay to stream music from Pandora or Spotify from any of the non-Apple watches if I want to stream during my run?
I’ve just starting running, and bought a Huawei GT2 watch, absolutely superb watch for the money, but really let down with no connectivity to Strava.
Hopefully this will come in an update?
My Uncle got me a Forerunner 235 for my sixteenth birthday about a month ago. Made it so much easier than running with a phone.
I’ve had a TomTom spark for about 4 years. still get great battery life, decent gps and can store music to listen to via bluetooth headphones. the atom Tom app automatically uploads my data to Strava too. Has been great for my casual use of about 15-20k/week. only cost £65 My eyes water at some of these prices that don’t provide much more than this!
Also syncs to my myzone heart rate belt and shows my heart rate on screen next to my pace
My first watch, forerunner 25, so simple and easy to use. Highly recommend for your first watch. Still using it now.
Great reviews. best one I’ve watched, I want a watch just for running (I assume these watches are better than the activity trackers?) Of which i was considering the garmin vevosport. But I think it is worth paying a bit more for a watch of which you described in the budget end
I have been running for over a year, although I consider myself still new to running I have the garmin 45S forerunner, but I want more running metrics as I am now running longer distances. I really love to buy the forerunner 945, but I think it is too expensive. I think the garmin 245 will be better suited for me. As I will use mainly for running, I occasionally use the bike, swimming and walking, so I don’t really need extra sport features. The 645 it was an option I have considered because it has altimeter, but not sure it is something I will use all the time… But it is an older version and it doesn’t justify the extra expense. What I am after is a running watch that I don’t want to upgrade everytime I get better and better …. I may wait to see if there will be another version of 245 in future? For me music is not an important feature, and nor garmin pay, I will still go out with my phone anyway. I have also considered vivoactives, but it seems to lack a little bit of advanced running dynamics…..thank you for the fab video.
Hey guys anyone can help with my garmin 945 I’ve received today I’m more of a Apple guy, this watch is driving me mad
Hi,
I’m looking for a budget watch(aprox 200 euro’s ). I was looking at garming vivoactive 3, coros pace or even garmin forerunner 735xt. I only run and cycle. Which watch would you recommend? The sync with strava is very important to me. Thanks!
Just bought a Forerunner 45, hopefully it has everything I need
Lol this list is complete junk. No 935? No
Fenix, but instead the dumb down 645?

Apple watch not compatible with my Samsung phone… end of the story.:(((
Great reviews and real world experience, you really deserve way more views and subscribers
Hi I’m a personal trainer (ran my own business for a year now.
I currently have a vivoactive 3 which is on its last legs. I want to more away from a smart watch and have a more advanced running and fitness watch, plus I’m training for my first marathon and run 5 days a week. I strength train and do crossfit too.I really dont want a fenix as they are a bit out if my price range and far too big on my wrists.
I really like the recovery stats on the polar vantage V but have been put off by some reviews I have seen. Vantage V or garmin 245? Which would be best for me?
Hi, I have watched a few of your videos with regards to watches. Suunto, Garmin Fenix 6 and Polar. Great channel!
I want something for both running and multi day hiking. I like the look of the Suunto 9/Baro but having watched the review on the Suunto 7 I am now not so sure. I’ve no idea so wondered what would your feedback be/suggest?
Okay you Said: Polar and Garmin is as well as IOS or Android. So my question which company is Apple? Polar or Garmin?
Not the Polar ignite… HR monitoring is inaccuract as shit and so is the GPS, what a disappointment. Battery is also nothing to brag about and all the watch faces are crap, not that I care about that a lot, but at least make the screen better to read during daylight… It’s cheap and light and comfortable to wear but that are about the only positives.
And you talk about sleep tracking, it’s a JOKE!!!!
thank you so much for this, i was clueless about watches and thought that an apple watch did everything that a garmin does but with extra smart watch functions. Definitely going for a Garmin. Great video!
I guess the most expensive Apple Watch is expensive but the standard is not that pricey especially compared to the high end Garmin, Suunto and Polar shown here. It’s a great device and with the right app it can be really useful, but there is something about the Garmin watches for me. They are rubbish at almost everything except its core function but then again I don’t buy the Garmin for anything other than its core purpose! Certainly not its UI or looks (^^)
I have the Samsung Active 2 and i love it for running! I downloaded the Strava app as well. How does the Active compare to the $250 Garmin?
Hi Team, looking to buy my first running watch. I’ve been living off my phone so far and looking to have that type of “strava” like information on my wrist. I’m able to find both the 645 music and 245 music at the same price and currently on sale with a few websites. Which one would you recommend? Which one performs better, more reliable and accurate?
Apple watch heart rate monitor really isn’t accurate whatsoever. If you’re a serious runner who trains via HR, it’s not a good idea.
great video! just thinking about to change my polar m430 to stg else, but which one?? over age 40 my eyes/sight was getting worst, that’s why I sold my Apple Watch, way too small letters!:( So Im looking for something robust, big body/screen/numbers/letters with advanced features mainly for running… Garmin 245 would be perfect but it could have a bit bigger case… so its still open…:)
I’ve got a Forerunner 15 gps, chest strap hrm and links to Garmin Connect. Always been told chest based hrm is far more reliable than wrist. It is a compact size, more like a regular watch. Personally, they throw too many things into watches these days and i’m more than happy with this. Cost around £20 hardly used off of Ebay.
Apple Pay, audible, reminders, calendar events, texting, music… for the win Apple Watch
I have a Garmin Vivoactive 4 but I’m looking to try a Polar watch.
I was looking at the Ignite and Vantage M but leaning towards the latter. I’m tempted by the Grit X but can’t justify the cost. Any advice?
I have been using a Fitbit charge 3 but omg the accuracy is out quite badly by an average of 1K over the course of a half marathon. I’m probably going to get a Garmin Forerunner 235 as I need an entry level one whilst I continue to find my running feet as Fitbit no longer works for me

As someone who has the m430 over the past two years, I gotta say I’ve been very disappointed with the battery life. I dont get more than 30 hours after 8 months of use which eliminates the sleep analysis. A watch like this should run for at least 4 days before requiring a charge.
Really nice & helpful review but in smartwatch fitbit ionic can give apple watch run for money in features with one thirdth of price also gps+glonass & vo2 max, music storage, streaming & Bluetooth & WiFi connectivity
I have both the Fenix 6 Sapphire and COROS Vertix. I wouldn’t recommend the Fenix 6 to ultra runners because the battery life is insuffient and there are so many syncing issues with iPhones. COROS has an amazing battery capacity and syncs well with IOS. I want Fenix to be a great long distance watch but for the price it should perform as well as an Apple. Get it right Garmin. It’s 2020.
Fitbit products are trash. They die after a year. My versa crapped out at the one year mark. Time for a Garmin!
Fenix 6x for me..amazing battery life, looks cool with leather strap(when not running), accurate enough, bunch of options.
It is large, but I like it.
I’m a runner and look for accuracy and these new multi-sports watches don’t have it, they are turning sports watches into do it all lifestyle watches. Compared to older watches like the Ambit 3 and Polar V800, regarded as the most accurate gps watches, the tracking and distance on modern watches is awful and footpods are needed to correct these issues. Overpriced for the performance you get, try monitoring your pace while racing a 5 or 10k without a footpod.
Before anything ellse, thanks for your videos guys, I love your channel!
And now, a quick question. What’s the advantage of a running watch over a smartphone? Some of those watches cost twice as much as my smartphone and any smartphone can track a run with plenty of running apps available both for iOS and Android to choose from. I do want a running watch but I find it hard to convince myself that I need one.
Forerunner 235 is great for me. 30+ years of running and this is the best one I have ever had.
For those using the FR235, whilst running, what is that floating purple tick above the other zone/colours in the HR Zone window while running and timer is on? I’ve looked at about 20 different YT reviews and no one discusses it. Thanx!!
Great content. Love hearing input from multiple long term users.
I bought Polar to know how I sleep, and now I have shoes for outside and inside running, wake up at five to run.
All I want is a heart monitor and custom workouts that I can add to the watch (such as intervals). I don’t really care about the other features but for me this is a must!
Love my tech and as an Apple user there was only option, I’ve been using the Series 3 for a couple years now. I use it for running, refereeing and normal day to day stuff.
What do u think about the vivoactive 3 music? i would like to train for my first marathon
Only thing I need on the watch is checking how many steps I’m doing in a day,and running stats and sleeping pattern,if you guys can help me set it up,otherwise I’ll return the item
My first was the pink Garmin Forerunner 10 many many years ago. It died the morning of my first half marathon. RIP first running watch! I’m now using Garmin Vivoactive 3 w music. Love that I don’t need my phone or ipod for music. I don’t like running w a lot of gear. It looks good, is water resistant, and works on the treadmill!
What’s the main feature you want on a running watch? Let us know
Can anyone assist me. I’ve just got a new smaaing phone so my apple watch is now redundant. I need a watch that I can reply to WhatsApp on. Do any of these do it?
Are the heart rate sensors from those watches acurate during runs? I am using Polar H7 chest strap with my phone. I want to play music at the same time track my heart rate.
Great content. Just discovered this channel. So good to see content from the U.K. I currently own the Garmin forerunner 245( non music version) l previously had the Garmin Fenix 3, which was a great watch, but was huge, and didn’t have a heart rate monitor. I chose the 245 for the Garmin coach, body battery and so that l was future proofed for the next couple of years.
I have a forerunner 30 super basic but I don’t think you need a pricey one!
Want a watch with hrv and or recovery time when heart rate settled back so ok to go to exercise again please help top vids
I can’t tell you how much I hate my Apple Watch. It is the worst sports
watch on the market in every way possible. Don’t waste your money on it.
Get a watch designed as a sports watch, not a hipster poser watch.
Where are your prices from? You have the 245 as £130. I can only find it for £170+
Apple Watch is way much easier to set up,I’ve heard so much of garmin but my goodness this is a pain in the backside, the connect app can’t even connect sake,Bluetooth is on keep saying I’m not connected
Hello, thank you for this good video. Do you think that Apple Watch 5 is good to improve his running skills? In my case I’m running 3 times a week around 10km for each run with an interval session once a week my goal is to reach the 20k and step by step long distance race. At the moment, I use a Fitbit ionic but the feature for the interval trainings is not that good for my point of view. Does the Apple Watch Better? For example, Can I create a training session with a 20 min endurance jog, interval session in time or meters (200, 400, 1200) and finish with another 20 min endurance? I was considering to buy a polar vantage v or a forerunner 245 but I’m also looking for the aw5, I really love it more than the others but is it the watch to help improve yourself I’m not sure. Also, does it feel more fragile than an other running watch? Thank you
Even best Apple apps will not replace you the fitspark. Literally no-one offers that. And the features from Apple watch you cna get on cheapest Chinese smart bands and smart watches. I’ve seen where some tests made on YouTube Apple had beaten everything even a horserace but the reality is that I’ve checked pulse functionality and it is comparable on absolutely all of the smart watches, including the laughable 25 bucks smart watches that offer ecg in them Yes the cash grab is that bad. Maybe it has the premium finish nice screen and design you can give it to that but other than that there’s little to none advantage over the 30 bucks watches. The 3rd party apps are for the most part a joke and truth is if that is an important factor for a smartwatch then so you have them on the active 2 or even the old galaxy watch

Coros Apex or Vertix…I would put it up against any of these watches ANY day..I’ve used from every brand and none compare to the Coros brand at this point..constant updates with new features and battery life is insane, CS responds to request for features from users and is highly involved with their community…
Is it only me who uses a Garmin Instinct? Seriously underrated in my opinion
Great video. Any predictions on Garmin introducing LTE? If Fenix or 945 had LTE I’d be all over it currently sticking with my Galaxy Watch 4G until that happens
Thanks for this guys, I might finally upgrade my forerunner 15 to the 235

Recently found your channel and must say I’m enjoying the content, watch and shoe review. Honest opinion from runners…great stuff, still trying to decide if I should pull the trigger on the Fenix 6 Pro as I’m currently a Fenix 5 Plus wearer.
Been running with a 735xt since 2016, cant fault it not even sure if its worth moving to the 245/645. I literally don’t know the difference between those two.
