* My workouts mainly consist of jumproping, HIIT, plyometrics, agility/speed training and I sometimes jog for 30 mins. I don’t lift, I only do bodyweight exercises. What shoe would you suggest for me?
You guys should have a 60 + year old helping with your evaluations because there are some different factors when you’re a senior.
Bro I don’t like converse. Everyone wears them and they don’t even look good
Man, I seriously think UA’s HOVR tech is so underrated. Been rocking a pair of HOVR Phantoms for my daily runs for over a year now. Glad to see they getting some love here. Keep safe!
I enjoyed the review but as a forefoot striker with overpronation I’d be interested in a more technical approach, with recommendations with regard to stability and heel to toe drop. Nicks reviews were the most helpful for me. I’m also amazed you’ve got no Brooks, Asics or New Balance in there!
I like to put on a pair of timbs with a 50 cent tanks top and go to the gym for curls.
This is stupid. Nobody has time to buy and fashion these sneakers. Who knows whats really gonna be good
From my opinion none of the Nike Sneakers showed here look good, I believe Puma makes one of the best designs when it comes to sneakers may be even there other models and is very cost friendly compared to Nike or Addidas.
great video, but running shoes are terrible in the gym, converse actually make great gym shoes, if you’re there for lifting weights anyway.
why there are no minimalistic barefoot shoes, I mean its the healthiest for feets
Great video! Enjoyed it. I have adios for fast training runs, Asics DS trainer for tempo/races and NB 880 for easy. Though NB need a replacement already, probably will check these On Cloudflow they really look good:)
are there any shoes like in this video that are slip on and tightened with a cord?
I’m a “beginner” runner I’m 21 I did football and wrestling in high school but I want to go SF in the military and want to run long distances, any tips or shoes to get? I’m not the greasy long distance runner, even diets? I’m 5”11 220 muscle but wanting to cut too 200lb or even 190lbs if anyone can help
Watching this right after I bought what I thought were the best workout shoes lmao….I’m a small!
Nice video. Looking for a race day shoe that I don’t have to rob a bank. Running in the fuelcell propel at the moment love it for my every day runs
I run in Saucony Ride ISO 2’s. I just started running seriously 2 months ago. Some reviews said these were good. I run mostly on the road, but do some light trails occasionally. Should I stick with Ride ISO 2’a when these wear out?
I appreciate you made that video but to be honest… man either i can’t afford most of the shoes because it’s fucking Dior or these shoes are all sold out and/or extremely hard to get. Naaah
Glad to hear Mike runs in barefoot shoes and that I waited until the end of the video. Was just about to write a post that wouldn’t have gone down well!! Look forward to watching the video with Mike.
Have you guys ran in the New Balance Beacon? If so, thoughts? How do they compare against something like the Rincon?
Great reviews guys. Quick question for Nick, I have the Rincons and love em. I like the look of the Adidas adios but hear the sizing is small, just wondered what size you wear in the rincons and adios so i can add them to my quiver. Many thanks.
Guys what do you think about the HOKA Carbon X? On par with Next% or no? Can’t buy them anywhere. Worth the hype? Thanks. Great video, my first watch:)
If you can afford a submariner, I’m not buying you shoes bro.
Great video mate! No Brooks, it’s great to learn about these shoes. What are the best shoe for walking perhaps some jogging?
loved the advice im getting a quiver today haha great straight up discussion -would like to know how any of you feel about brooks, thanks guys coolio.
Im brand new to this channel, and subscribed before the whole intro was over!
Very great content!!
Really like the 3rd guys take on the reviews as I am more a gym/running enthusiast
BTW the Air Dior are going to drop for $2k at retail launch.
Great review. It would be nice to talk about shoes for overpronation/stability.
My workouts mainly consist of jumproping, HIIT, plyometrics, agility/speed training and I sometimes jog for 30 mins. I don’t lift, I only do bodyweight exercises. I’m thinking of buying one of these: the ua hovr rise, ua tribase reign 2, nike free metcon 2/3, and in season tr9, air zoom fearless flyknit 2, airzoom superrep hiit and ultraboosts 20. What shoe would you suggest for me?
Be careful with the Hokas, I have a fairly high arch and supinate, and the Hokas gave me horrible blisters on the bottoms of my feet. I couldn’t get them tight enough in the middle because they’re pretty much the same width from the back to the toe box. They don’t curve in around the arch so my feet moved around too much in them.
I’m a huge fan of the Brooks Ghost. It’s like wearing nothing. Just wish they would hire better designers. They’re not cute, to put it nicely.
At the table, the middle guy, holding the Zoom pegasus 36 outdoors in the woods, may i ask what green jacket your wearing? I can see only TERR….letters
Great video! I was actually wondering what song that was in the beginning would love to add that to my running quiver as well 😉
Let’s be honest with each other here, none of these shoes “look” good. The peg 37 looks decent, that’s it.
What kind of squat set or model is that? Where can I buy fam?
The nike dior cost more than 40k dollars. Depends on what your size is
Just ordered some Nike zoom peg 1. I’m usually a 9.5 they seem to be a little loose at toe end. Would most people stick at this size or go down a half size?
Thank you guys! This was extremely informative, might go with the Rincon or Triumph as my next purchases because of this video
I bought my mizuno wavesky 3 sneakers 2 days ago and I’m wondering if buying a whole size bigger shoe was a mistake (I am size EU39, bought 40). Now, the problem is that my food is thin/narrow and my feet are so sore from walking in these comfy shoes because my feet feel like straining when walking. I took a short walk, and they are in pristine condition so MAYBE I could exchange them for the smaller ones (in which my big toes show a little bit)…ugh, I am torn and very unhappy with my purchase because I didn’t take the time to try om a few different models before buying them:( Any advice on the sizing is welcome.
Update: I returned them and got Nike Legend React 2s..they are perfect… Mizuno might be “the best” for someone with a wider foot, but not for me.
Awesome video I recently got some Xero shoes and have been in love. I use them for running, but also for casual wear too. It is amazing to be able to feel the world and have your feet feel free, but still have protection from sharp stuff on the ground. Check them out! https://xeroshoes.com/go/Phil
Hi, I currently have a minor cartilage problem and was wondering what shoes you would recommend that would reduce the impact of running but also not be too soft. I run on road for around 3 miles 3 times per week, aiming to able able to run 10 miles.
Thanks for this guidance However I didn’t hear what kind of shoe wearer you are (neutral? Overpronation or supination? )
Hi. This is a question for Nick: Are the Saucony true to size or 1/2 size up? I also run in Adios and go 1/2 size up whereas true to size with Nike. What are your thoughts?
Hi guys, great video. Would be keen to get your throughs on Altra running shoes, and more specifically the Escalante model. I’ve used them as a general training and racing shoe (before Nike 4%) for about 2 years now, and have absolutely loved them. They have a nice wide toe box so your toes can splay very easily, and the zero mm drop allows your foot to land where you want it to. I am a forefoot striker so this was a revelation when running in this shoe for the first time. (Not saying you can’t land forefoot in other shoes, these just felt different, just my personal preference). It can take some getting used to, and I know that some people tend to get really sore calves when they first use the shoe and if they are landing suddenly more on there forefoot, so Altra always recommends ‘transitioning’ slowly. But I found them v comfortable out of the box, plus they are very durable. They’re also very versatile I find, and I’ve used them from 5k up to the marathon.
Also in my ‘quiver’ are a disgusting old pair of lime green Saucony Kinvara 8’s. A really light shoe, with loads of cushioning, actually similar to maximalist cushioning like the Hoka’s. They seem to get more comfortable on every run. Reliable workhorses. I’ve also just bought some Reebok Floatride Energy 2.0, they were down to £29 on Reebok’s website (50% of RRP and extra 20% of at checkout but I think the price has snuck up now). They look nice, but not 100% sure what they’re supposed to be, they don’t make me think let’s go fast, and they are not as comfortable as say the Saucony’s, but maybe they will grow on me over time.
Very cool vid. Loving that you’re reviewing under armour w/ una poco de espanol jajajaja. Keep up the good work my g ✌
Thanks for very valuable information, guys! REMARK: To make timestamps clickable, replace. with: @ 3:23 instead of @3.23 as example.
I use the adios 5 right now and love them I’m waiting for The Adizero Pro for racing
I am thinking about to buy new running shoes and i cant decide between the saucony triumph 17, hoka rincon and nike infinity react. Which shoes do you recommend me, I started training for a marathon about a week and a half now
Yeezys are horrible I don’t know how kayne West sells them I can make better trainers
Glad I found your channel, im a running shoe nerd and got ALOT of shoes aswell, keep it up!

We’re lucky because all three of you in the room? Introduce yourself.
I’m 14 yrs old and I use the same shoe size of Alex
I don’t know what to say
Very nice and helpful video! You guys just earned another subscriber
I’ve just ordered some pegasus 36 ultra wide for £42 (nike sale) fingers crossed my feet are wide enough.
Awesome review…..If you can, like many, only buy one pair primarily for shorter runs (10k max) with some interval training and very rare race days, running on mostly hard surfaces, what would you get? Turbo 2, zoom fly 3 or something else like Carbon X, Rincon, adizero Adios 4 (I Heardissue with 5) of Ultraboost 20? My existing is a Brooks Glycerin which has been good but lost its bounce and wearing out the sole, i want something more reactive, good cushion but maybe lighter and faster. I am definitely more aligned with your last reviewer in how I keep fit but maybe 5-10 years older:)
I HATED the ultraboost 19. How is the adizero adios 4 compared to the ub19?
I run my trail and the roads to the next trail in the adidas pureboost all terrain, I find them great on all so if you need a different pick them they might work for you Kieran
Great video. Wondering how you all feel about insole inserts. Do you just run with the insoles that come with each of these?
Don’t forget to follow me at instagram.com/alexcosta to keep up with me:)

thanks for this video. so good to hear serious runners have their say.
all these shoes are so expensive here in NZ. such a shame. ill be sticking with whatever I can find on sale. currently in pegasus 35s that I found on a clearance shelf.
Great review guys! Are you the follow up to the three amigos? 😉
Just picked up a pair of Hoka Cavu 3. Feels very good, but I wonder how much diffrent the Hoka Rincon is? Have you guys any experience with the Hoka Cavu 3?
2020 STYLE?? all the line ups are for hype beast. UNSUBSCRIBING
What running shoes you recommend for women? I need a pair that is light and comfortable which can help me run for a long distance without being painful. Thanks a lot!
What’s your pick for an All-rounder going into the new year?
I got an suggestion take a marker draw a big toe on the top of the sneaker so when you look down you know where your toe is
Nailed it on the present brotha! Crack a couple funnies, can’t leave it all to Kez.
Great video, thanks guys. My shoe rotation is epic react and peg 35 shield for easy runs, peg turbo 2 for fast training and completed my first half marathon in them. I’m waiting on a pair of ASICS Glideride for long runs as I am training for my first marathon. I’m not buying another pair of shoes, so which should I race the marathon in? Turbo 2s or glideride?
Your videos are awesome dude. No cap your my 2nd favorite YouTuber rn..
just subscirbe:) is there any shoe that u recommend for wide stability shoes? as for racing flats i only know nb 1500 for wide cutting. would u recommend me to get standard cutting light weight shoe which will be too narrow for me for speed work? or should i use a daily trainer like the saucony guide 13 for speed work?
After watching this my ass still gon walk up into the champs store nd cop me sum low top all white forces ♂️
Definitely getting the BP x Alex Costa Venice Lace-up. Are you a May baby?
Hey guys, got a question. How do the pegasus 36 trail handle on the road. Does the extra grip affect running on roads?
nice video, finally something with the runner advice, in various style. And not some scripted sponsored top.
I don’t like Nike. The toe box is too short and the heel is too big. They are for a very specific footed person (stubby toed, big heeled). Hokas all the way. I can fit insoles right on top and they fit perfectly.
Under amour still good as running shoes like fortis 2 model?
Hook me up with a shirt bro size XL please bro my insta:_e.t.m_
if they havent seen cdg converse in 2020,.. i dont even know what to say to them.
Nice video guys! Wondering what your thoughts are on the Saucony Peregrine 10s… haven’t heard anyone review them.
I just bought the Adidas and the Hoka Rincon… Waiting for them to arrive.
Also ended getting the Hoka Challenger ATR 5 Wide as well.
And a Garmin Forerunner 245
And some vests…
I hope this gimmick turns into a decent hobby!
For those of you guys who noticed… I wasn’t paying attention when I was making the thumbnail sorry guys!
Dropping a comment because this mans can rock a small t:) Love the content especially these days, stay safe fam!
Any suggestions for treadmill running. I don’t want to hurt my joints!!!
Thanks chaps, a very good video and great info from 3 different runners
Alex: Don’t buy trends because they come and go
Also Alex: Every shoe shown in this video is a trendy shoe
Let’s be honest all of the shoes in this video are ugly
Don’t squat or do any kind of heavy lifting in running shoes.Do it barefoot (in socks) if you have god ankle mobility(you can put 1 kg plates under your heals if you don’t) or use the traditional weight lifting shoes. If you don’t want to be bear foot in the gym,or its not allowed you can use flat shoes like converse all stars for example.
Amazing video, great work guys, I will be watching any future videos!
I don’t wear a small but my girl does! A shirt would be a good thank you from the years of subscription
If that guy in the middle is going to be giving more reviews in the future, he really needs to speak more clearly.
Great video guys! Really liked the dynamic of having 3 people of various running “aims” so to say. Been an on/off runner the last year or so but really getting into running regularly now, can you guys tell me your opinion on the Asics gel cumulus 21 if you’ve used it please?
Awesome! I just subs, kindly check my vids and pls subs too. Much love & appreciation, thanks
My feet are being torn to bits i am pretty sure its my running shoes, any suggestions?
Talking to much. Shoe reviews, atleast put them on. Or keep them on the screen. On feet reviews is only thing I wanna see
You should take a look at louboutin aurelien they are absolutely beautiful
What shoe would you say is best for a flat footed person who just started running I run 5k
I dance, run, cycle, HIIT, do plyometrics and body weight exercises. I did cross country back in the day with Nike Pegasus shoes and had an amazing experience with them in the gym and on the run. Very comfortable. I’m thinking of getting them again
Mike what shoes do you personally think have THE BEST arch support? I have really bad foot problems it doesnt stop me from wearing what I want lol but I know you’ve said before you like comfort these days and I’m getting on the same page as you. Would be cool to get comfort and something that looks good too. I’d pay moneyyyyyy for whatever you think would be good
Why not just use the same shoes for training and racing to avoid different feelings??
May I ask for the difference between React Foam and ZoomX Foam? I can’t decide, but I do like React Foam (Epic React) more than Zoom Air Foam (Pegasus).
Loved this video, keep up the work! Looking forward to more videos in the future.
* My workouts mainly consist of jumproping, HIIT, plyometrics, agility/speed training and I sometimes jog for 30 mins. I don’t lift, I only do bodyweight exercises. What shoe would you suggest for me?
Excellent reviews. Middle Bloke, speak slower than you run, please. I had trouble as an English speaker. Viewers with English as a second language need to be considered. Thanks guys!
Hi, I am running ten to fifteen kilometers every day, and I am looking for a durable, pair of shoes. For five years I have used Adidas Dragon as I feel good in them and the fact that it doesn’t have thick soles like the most of the shoes. Recently the left sole began to come off so I am looking for something else because I want to protect my knees. What would you recommend? Thank you.
Great selection, gents I have nearly the same selection Next%, Adizero, Triumph 4, Rincon, Turbo V1, Cloud X. My next purchase is the Triumph 17.
Vans and converse never change anything up about their shoes except maybe a design or something
Its cringy when Alex pretends to be a hype beast sneakerhead sprinkling in words like “babies”, “cop”. “Nike LD Waffle Sacais are gonna be everywhere this year”. Really dude?
If u r a hypebeast watching this you cringed when he said Dior Nike’s
any thoughts about the nike react infinity? please answer also love your vids keep up the amazing work!
I pronate, am a size 10.5 d, wide feet,i do little interval running outdoors, and use the gym for working out, i need a stability trainer, recommend any please
Expensive plimsolls, companies are charging so much for what costs very little to make
“used to use for crossfit”.. instead of you know, Olympic lifting shoes, which would be vastly superior.
This video is weird… Most of these shoes are hypebeast basics that are also virtually unattainable. What was the point of this video? I came here expecting to see something that I dont already see all over IG and sneakerhead youtube
3:01 hopefully they don’t tell me that. If you know what I mean
Any recommendations for heavy runners @245lbs doing upto 10k
Dawg I straight up been wearing cowboy boots this whole quarantine i fucked up bro
Alex, please pull the trigger on Dior b23! You need to get them!!! Just please!!! We need to see you in that fresh elegant shoe. Plus all of us want to know how to pull it off in an oufit. Maybe you can do a video of all the outfits that go with dior b23?
Bruh, you know I wear a small! Come on Junior would want me to have that shirt! Most don’t have the space for sure but I think I may have adjustable weights on the way and I am geeked. We ramping up these Nike Training Club workouts now.
Cross training shoes are great for dynamic movements such as lateral plane movement, bounds.
Running shoes are designed for linear movement, so running in a straight line.
Cushioned shoes aren’t usually recommended for lifting, mainly leg movements because you want to be able to feel the ground beneath you, have as little between your foot and the ground for heavier based movements why Nike Metcons, Vans and Converse are great for leg day…some even rock Jordan 1s.
Love the diversity of vids. Keep grinding Mike!
I love your channel, but I’m going to have to disagree here. Check out the Nike Metcon 5 or the Reebok Nano 8. I would not “train” in these.
Been loving the clothing content lately, but may I suggest bringing back some fitness videos into your channel? Maybe an at home workout routine you’ve been doing?
Great display of the uses of running shoes. Clear mentioning of each one with proper specifics of each one. Thank you very much. To the point, informative. Real people. 1 word “perfect”
I bought a new shoes but now can’t get out of the house because of quarantine!
Dang it!
Maybe I have a heavy foot, but I find that the Pegasus Turbo declines as quickly as the Vaporfly, thanks to zoomX foam. I feel like my foot is thudding against the ground after 250km/150mi. I like them so much that I’m on my third pair, though. I’m impressed that you’re able to get 1000km out of them.
This is more for people who are trendy. I was hoping this would be about practicality. Not how much did you spend on your ugly ass shoes
I just discovered the best shoe to run in! It’s the one that you don’t think about! Yey!
Hi Nick, good video your have the referral to improve my running. Interesting and factual.
I’m so confused with all these running shoe options! Great video but I’m so lost and can’t figure out what to buy haha
Van’s and converse are good for weight training since they are closer to ground and more stable your not supposed to have cushion when doing weights it will throw balance off and potential injury especially those that dont know how to squat and keep back straight and knees not going over toes
Sick gym and lovin the three things I need to protect, very deep on the last one. I wear a small as well fam!
