I just got diagnosed with celiac disease and omg THANK YOU FOR THIS I love Disney so much and needed this for the next time I go!!
Thanks for the video! If you eat at teppan edo with a large group you can bring gluten free soy sauce and they will do the hibachi show with the gf soy sauce so you can enjoy the little games as well. The canteen in pandora is also really great for gluten free options. And Columbia harbor house has really good gluten free chicken tenders!!
I wish i lived in America! UK don’t have many GOOD dairy free pizzas yet!
We were told that the turkey leg isn’t gluten free when we were there.:(
Please make an update to this video!! I feel like so many new things are out now:)
Thank you for this video. It’s put my mind at ease. As I have coeliac disease I was worried about eating at WDW. We upgraded from QS (included with our booking) to TS to make it easier. Looking forward to our trip now ❤️
Heads up.. my daughter has a gluten allergy and we tried to be very careful. Found out that the paper staws contain wheat!
I have been to WDW and DLR since being gluten free the past 2 years and I have had an excellent experience both times! Many restaurants offer GF bread and pasta! The GF rolls arent my favorite though. Now we just need GF mickey waffles!
Thanks for all the information. This is super helpful when you have celiacs.
When you show the food do you think you can not move it too much pls I don’t mean it in a rude way just to screenshot
Hi! Is there an updated video or information on the website about which quick service or snacks are best for someone who is Celiac? Just trying to put together an easy guide for a family member. Thanks! Love the videos they are so helpful.
The eggs are AMAZING!!!!!
I made a second pan because yes I didn’t eat spinach salad as much as I had planned last week. And I had extra feta in the freezer.
Thank you!!!!!
I have a sugar intolerance. I can have 5g of sugar or less. But Im not seeing anything Sugar free. Is there any?
Strawberry fruit bar which is a popsicle is good when I got it at Disney land
The buffets I went to gave me an allergen guide that listed the common allergens that were in the foods on the buffet and allergen friendly foods they had not on the buffet.
Fun fact: Disney was one of the first places that could accommodate a gluten allergy
Has anyone with a gluten allergy ever done a dessert party? Wondering if it’s worth the money!
We try to not eat in the parks to save money but we always hit up Flame Tree BBQ at AK bc the GF BBQ is ah-mazing! It is so nice to not have to constantly be on guard for cross contamination! I know it is frustrating having to deal with a food allergy as an adult so I am sure it is even more frustrating as a child feeling left out & I think it is amazing how far Disney goes to be inclusive of those with food allergies!
All Starbucks have discontinued the gluten free breakfast sandwiches. But the egg bites are still available.
Disney has always been attentive to my gluten allergy, & I have had some wonderful meals there!
Erin Mckenna’s Bakery is a fatal attraction for me! Great baked goods. I live in NYC, & have been to their store(Babycakes) once (it’s out-of-the-way, Lower East Side) But, in Orlando, several times a year!
Blaze is the best g-f pizza I’ve ever had!
Thank you thank you thank you!! This was very helpful. Love all your videos.
I can’t have lactose, wheat, cereals, sugar, tubers, corn, rice due to a bacteria and I’m going in December, that really gets me cause I can’t have any snacks etc oh well I guess I’ll have more time for the ride instead of eating.
Hi Denise! I’m new to your channel and I’m loving it:) really looking forward to trying these recipes!
Question: do you think the chilli lime chicken recipe would be a good freezer meal recipe? If so, would it be better to freeze before or after cooking? Thanks!
Thank you so much for putting this together. I have Celiac’s Disease and I’m taking my son on a Disney cruise and WDW vacation. I didn’t get the dining plan because I was so worried I would be able to eat in the park. Thanks for showing me some great options
Love all of these! And that cheese is SO GOOD! One of my favourite brands hands down
It’s soo hard finding a place that takes celiacs seriously. I am planning a trip with my young daughter and everything I have seen and read really puts me at ease.
It sounds like there’s a number of options. I wonder with the limited options is it still worth getting the Disney dinning plan? Or would it be best to have the freedom of paying for your own meals?
Please do this with vegitarian food. I can’t eat meat for health reasons and I actually get really sick ( do to my muscular disease I get bad pain in my body and can get a seizure and throw up ) and I just wanna know the like 5 good vegitarian foods I can eat 1 food for the hole week if there is just something to eat. So no not ever vegan/vegitarian is it for animals (that’s a plus ) and some can actually just not eat meat and will get sick.
I called to book a reservation and the woman on the phone said that every restaurant should be able to accommodate my allergy. (the reservation i made did not let me check that i had a gluten allergy)
Buffet dining: If, like me, you are super sensitive to cross-contamination, you can request that the chef or server fill your plate from the back rather than serving yourself from the buffet.
We had a great experience being gluten free in Disney World. You are so right! The fish and chips at Raglan Rose is delicious.
Love your video! Thank you for all the information! Just wanted to let you know that Starbucks no longer serves their Gluten Free Breakfast Sandwiches. (very sad about that, loved those!) Just a side note: I really wish people would stoop calling gluten issues an “Allergy”. It is actually an autoimmune disease, not an allergy. There are those who are gluten sensitive, but it is still not an allergy.:-)
My favorites:
1. Raglan Road/ Cookes of Dublin Irish Pub has a special gluten free batter and will make anything on the menu that’s fried gluten free! I believe they have a separate fryer but always double check. I got the onion rings and my family said the gluten free ones were even better than the regular ones. I also got a deep fried burger which was so incredible and completely worth how unhealthy it was.
2. Sanaa at Animal Kingdom lodge offers awesome gluten free Naan bread! And I believe all the sauces that come with it are gluten free.
3. Crystal Palace has a gluten free Mac n’cheese. You just have to ask the chef.
4. You can ask for Gluten free French onion soup at Be our Guest.
5. Most breakfast restaurants will make gluten free pancakes if you ask!
Tip: if something on the menu sounds good but isn’t gluten free, you can always ask if there is a way it can be made gluten free. If so the chefs are usually more than willing to accommodate your request.
Also unfortunately Starbucks discontinued their gluten free breakfast sandwich. Maybe they still have it in Disney but all other locations are no longer offering it.
Thank you for this! I definitely learned some things that I didn’t know before
Saw the title and died of happiness hooray!! And congrats on the move!
My son can’t have gluten, we were nervous when we went to DW, he was only 3 years old. All our worry was for naught. The staff were AMAZING when it came to accomodating his dietary needs. Such a relief!
Starbucks no longer provides the gluten free breakfast sandwich. boohoooooo
oh hellll yeah. im vegan and i have a wheat allergy so this is so exciting!
Of all the foods that are bad for the environment, almonds are the absolute worst.
My fiancé has celiac and the counter service places we visited were extremely accommodating. The manager came out, took his order, and prepared it to ensure no cross contamination. He also really loved the snacks with character cookies. I also highly recommend bringing your own gfree snacks to the park as a quick, easy to eat, worry free option.
Thank you so much My mom is gluten free and this will help a ton with our trip coming soon. So thanks a bunch!
hi all, I would like to HIGHLY recommend the dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern to anyone who is Gluten Free, in addition to the roast beef, turkey, and pork, mashed potatoes, and green beans, they also have gluten-free rolls, stuffing, gravy, and AT SPECIAL REQUEST ARE ABLE TO MAKE GLUTEN FREE MACARONI AND CHEESE WHICH WAS SOOOO GOOD OMG. they also have sorbet or a gluten-free brownie for dessert. I went with my cousins who are not gluten free and they were so so so accommodating and aware that I was the one with the allergy. I made the reservation a week in advance and let them know that I was coming with an “allergy” I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!!!! 12/10
Thank you so much for making this video! Three of my young children were diagnosed with Celiac Disease this year, and this video is making us really excited about our next Disney trip coming up.
Don’t forget the variety of tater tots from the Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland!
You look so healthy that its attractive! You glooooow! Thank you for your advice❤
Thank you for this! I’m planning a trip for next year and my friend is gluten free. I would love a video with tips for those on keto or low carb diets!
We have major food allergies. I have celiacs and my youngest daughter same other food allergies. Had no issues with all the restaurants and quick service in all of Disneyworld that we eat at.
Mickey Ice cream bars are made on shared equipment so they are not safe for Celiacs. Also the popcorn is now made by Pop Secret and is no longer gluten free.
Starbucks got rid of the gluten free breakfast sandwich during Celiac Awareness month in May!
Thank you so much for making this video! My mum is a coeliac and I want her to have as much of an option when it comes to food as the rest of us when we go next year. This has really put my at ease when it comes to planning our ADR’s!
Yes! I have been wanting a video on this! I do gluten free for my migraines, and I would hate to get one while I’m at Disney!
just an FYI the zevia cola flavors do have tartaric acid listed in the ingredients, doesn’t bother me but you may want to avoid the cola flavors if you don’t like tartaric acid
with two in my family who have to eat gluten free, I can tell you Disney is the place to be. My daughter swears by the gluten free Mickey waffles available at all of the resorts. At least we’ve been able to get them at all of the counter service locations at each resort we’ve stayed at, which have been most of them.
Could you also do a dairy free/lactose intolerant or vegan(vegan is always dairy free so…always good to know where the vegan food is:)) video?
I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how FABULOUS that Erin McKenna’s is! I have had donuts, cookies, and cake and I absolutely can’t wait to have ice cream there! Oh my gosh it’s a gluten-free paradise. ❤️❤️
Thanks so much for these recipe ideas, very inspiring! I especially love the variations when I clicked the link for the baked oatmeal muffins, 7 great suggestions there!:) I’ve made different baked oatmeal muffins for a while but veganised them using mashed banana instead of the egg, can also do flax egg as you said.
But some of these I hadn’t thought of before so will definitely give them a try, thanks!:) I call them breakfast muffins as they’re healthy enough to take them with you in a hurry for breakfast on the run, and keep you full for a long time too, all that slow release goodness!:)
I have a very severe almond allergy. The chefs and staff have been amazing every time! Very very willing to help with getting through the meal safely. They even brought me a special dessert at Garden Grill. The dessert they offered at the time was a berry cobbler topped with toasted almonds.
That allergy form still exists. If you contact the special diets email with concerns and questions, they send you the form in their response email. That’s what they did for me.
It would be really awesome if you could do a list of snacks or meals that are tasty and low carb. I know keto is a little popular, but I ask for medical reasons. People, like me, who have insulin resistance will thank you. Gluten Free =/= low carb.
GTs has flavors with no added sugar and is so much better than Health-Ade!!
Can you review and do a try on of old school hanes vs fruit of loom white cotton womens briefs? Comfy granny panties for the win!
Like AJ said ask for chef/manger (for quick service). We stayed at sports resort. We tried to time lunch/dinner for when they had trivia or contests. The GF stuff took longer to prepare so they gave us a buzzer. We’d go over to trivia area, participate and one of us would get the food when it was ready. I never had any issue with any restaurant and we had multiple allergies and celiac in our family
AJ could you please do a video on the best places for nut free dining? What place are the best options for nut allergies? Love the channel! Thank you so much!!!
I would LOVE if you did this type of video for vegan/vegetarian diets!!!
Dr Vand please do a video on menopausal woman. I have put on 40lbs since an early menopause at 42. I CANNOT lose weight. Please help. I feel I have to give up eating normally to get rid of this weight. It’s horrible. Hate myself. Help. I’m am now 51 and menopause is still with me but much less.
Zevia is the best! I always feel like it’s too good to be true ☺️ love it
Ps. That top is so cute!!
HI AJ!, would you be able to do this type of video with dairy free? I know some things are abvious but I wonder if there are more hidden gems of dairy free things like Dole Whip?
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been dying to get more information about this before I go!!!
Hi AJ do you have a vegan guide for Disney? Love your vlogs x
Seen examples of this in some of JustinScarred’s videos. Shows they truly take care of guests.
My daughter has celiac disease. We went in August of 2017 and cast members told us the turkey legs were not gluten-free. We were also told that the pork shank that Gaston Tavern were gluten free in 2014, but not in 2017. 1 super valuable list would be wherever there are dedicated gluten-free fryers like the skipper canteen. Very much appreciate this video, but everyone has to check every time they go as you pointed out at the beginning!
Please do a video on the different churros in Disney World!! They are my favorite snack and I can’t believe there is so many! I don’t want to miss out! Please help!! ♥️
The chip brand you liked for nacho chips, ‘Siete’ also makes some amazing vegan dips! Highly recommend
WDW is very accomodating for allergies but not all dietary concerns. I recently emailed the special diets guest services account about a member of my party with kidney disease and a low salt diet, we’re talking really low. Even low salt marketed foods are often too high. And they were not able to give me any advice, tips or information to help make reservations or a dining plan decision because they don’t know the nutritional information of anything. All they said was to ask when you get there. So I’m not getting a dinning plan in case he’s stuck eating salad all week.
Oh, and yes they still use those forms for identifying allergies for reservations.
For the lactose intolerant, I recommend buying some lactaid, it’s a pill that helps you digest lactose when taken simultaneously with milk products. Otherwise Disney chefs may treat it the same as a milk allergy when notified. In my personal experience a chef wouldn’t let me eat anything with milk products from cake to mashed potatoes even though things like cake never give me any trouble. And that cake looked really good too:(
I recently travel to Disney with some friends who were gluten-free and the chefs came out and made sure that they knew what they could and could not eat at The Buffet they also went into the kitchen and brought out gluten free donuts and gluten free pastries for our breakfast at Cape May Cafe which was excellent and they love them
I wish Disney land Paris would do this because it is the closest one to me and my gluten free sister but all they have to offer is disgusting microwave meals
This was super helpful. My sister is gluten free so this was awesome. When we dined at The Wave our server was fantastic with accommodating her allergy through our the meal.
Love your videos please make longer ones, like more than 10 minutes
Can you please make an updated version mainly focused on snacks and new stuff available gf
Thank you
You should do one for egg allergy. You guys have no idea how hard it can be to do breakfast and many times lunch at many locations because of it, and literally resources for it online are practically non-existent.
Great video! Thank you for this great information!!! Please make more videos like this!
Could you do a video about weddings at Disney like some good places and the food and cakes and things like that. my good friend loves Disney and is trying to decide if he should propose in Disney or if they should have there whole wedding there or even both. Ideas for great places to propose would be awesome too. Also I love your videos! They are so helpful and fun to watch. Also as an avid dfb watcher I feel the need to express how much I loved pizza planet at Hollywood studios and really hate that they closed it down, took me a awhile to get over it as you can probably tell since its probably very old news by now. However i’m really looking forward to the new toy story land they are building and can’t wait for you guys to make a video about it when its ready. Thanks for all your awesome videos!:)
I have a very odd allergy, Peppers, Disney is wonderful with accommodations.
Mona,
Try the good chocolate it is called that. It’s organic keto friendly and vegan
Super Bowl is way over but I’m trying these now that I’m seeing them
Great video! Disney is the best when it comes to gluten free and making you feel both welcome and like a normal person! Don’t forget about the amazing gluten free Mickey Waffles at the brunch buffets!
I misread the title as Superfood bowl 2020 and I thought this was a smoothie or oatmeal recipe
hello my soul my darling my heart my friend my life my life I like your videos your video is very good
Thank you for making such an awesome video. I love how you explain all of the health benefits of all the products. You are so beautiful and speak so well. I always look forward to seeing your new videos!
It’s going to be a WONDERFUL Superbowl! My Chiefs are there! ❤❤
Is this baby glow I’m seeing or is it just another beauty routine experiment you’re trailing out…
On a trip a couple of years ago, the chef at Yak & Yeti refused to offer GF. Her response was she could not guarantee anything would be GF. We left and have never returned. Every other restaurant at WDW has been great.
Meal prep is nu new face to watch no cooking is the next step love the recepies.
I’m so glad I found your YouTube because I am gluten and dairy free ❤️
I’m curious about WDW food options for dietary needs outside of allergies. I have had bariatric surgery and can now only eat about 6 oz of food per meal (about 5-6 meals per day). Fried food makes me very sick along with anything with too much sugar and I need a lot of protein. Do you have any advice for people like me? All I can think of is to just nibble off of someone else’s plate, but that’s kind of a drag.
When you go to a buffet, if it’s noted in Advance that you have Celiac or Gluten allergy, they will have a Chef come to your table and walk the buffet with you; then ask if you feel comfortable eating from the buffet or would like them to get food from the kitchen. I have never been sick once in 4trips diagnosed.
I interpreted Superbowl Snacks as like super bowl (like Buddha bowl, acai bowl) snacks.
I eat cucumber like that and I’m Hispanic my mom would give them to me like that because that’s how they told her to feed a Persian kid she was nanny too.
Omg these are such great ideas! Hu chocolate is one of my favs!
Btw. I’m a youtuber too! Let’s support each other!
some folks says fermented foods promote yeast and mold, what is your thought on this?
I love the avocado /kraut combo… i am not vegan but sometimes if I don’t want cheese but want the tangy taste I sub in the kraut and it satisfies!
Thank you for posting this! Please do a keto/low carb video! That would be so helpful for me and many others or there!
The allergy-friendly menus at WDW are so useful. This video takes it to another level THANK YOU very much!
Would LOVE to see this info in a hard copy version. In this video, the referenced “Eating GF in DW” PDF is outdated, mentioning a kiosk that “will open August 4, 2013” so it’s overdue for updating.:) Also, the online link to “Gluten & Dairy Free” Disney Dining leads to an error page. Thank you again!!!
excited to try t he cheese! Recently dairy free because of gut health! thanks for the info!!
Just an update Starbucks discontinued the GF sandwich nationally so I assume WDW doesn’t have it anymore. Huge bummer.
Hi. Haven’t watched the entire video but wanna pop in to say, I love it already!
I’m just curious to know if going glutenfree helps with losing weight?
Six for $3.99? That’s good!! I get six for $8 from the Siete brand, which is made out of almond flour
I take it you are a big fan of live g free, I have never tried the live g free brand.
Your eyebrows look permanently raised too much botox actually ages u more!
Would love to wake up to birds chirping in my backyard! I live out in the country but yet I never hear any birds ♀️
I love the food options you showed and would love to give them a try! Do you think any of those a keto friendly?
Guess the lighting was only good in your bedroom lol (kinda weird to do a food video not in the kitchen).
Still love your videos. ❤️
This video is so good! Thankyou for putting this up! I leave on Wednesday and have a gluten allergy so this is the best
Friendly reminder to those who are newer to avoiding wheat/gluten. Corn (tortillas, etc.), potatoes (chips, fries, etc.), rice, and anything without a breading or a thick sauce are safe. My wife can’t have the good stuff and gets annoyed when she sees companies try to take advantage of those who don’t know how much they can actually eat if they are just avoiding gluten. Any ice creams (no cone), chocolates, slushes, pretty much any dessert without cake or bread is good to go.
Side note we attended the Food & Wine festival last year (my wife’s first Disney trip) and she did not go wanting for delicious food. She really recommends the cheese rolls from I think it was the Brazil stand. If those are there again this year and you can’t normally eat wheat, they are made with a rice flour and tasty. My wife got it twice.
Howdy there AJ [email protected] DFB. Getting a little off topic with this challenge but….. How about your favorite tips for securing those coveted dining reservations. It’s frustrating to be up at midnight when your window opens only to be shut out by the volume of traffic hitting the site.
Omg I didn’t realize how much I missed these kind of videos and seeing you so happy! ❤️ thank you Maryana!
Recently went to Disney Nov 2019…. yes they use the form…. Snow white dinner chef was incredible she had all my info and made me special things due to my 7 allergies.
Love these gluten free dairy free food videos. You are so beautiful and pleasant to listen to your voice calms me ❤️☺️
Starbucks has discontinued their breakfast sandwichesI would assume Disney will no longer carry them, either.
Just wondering.. why do you not say your cats names anymore?
You should try the chloes dairy free ice cream pops!! Same brand as the first pizza you showed. Super good!! I love the mint chip!
I truly never understand why people dislike your videos
I am not gluten free, although my sister is. But just have to say I really appreciate the time and effort that must have gone into this video and how useful it was. Thank you.
Thanks for posting this. I have Celiac Disease and have been to WDW twice now since diagnosis. They are phenomenal about accommodation and it is the only place food intolerances are truly understood. That said, you still have to follow your gut if you think cross contamination will be an issue. This applies to eateries in Disney Springs & Epcot as well. My favorite places are Ohana for breakfast & dinner and Erin McKenna’s for a sweet treat!
I’m gluten free, dairy free, soy free so I LOVE your snack hauls. I love this time of year when brands release all their new product innovations
Ive never seen that chloe pizza in my store!! I definitely wanna try that!! Ive tried other cauliflower pizzas and it was WAAAY to caulifower-y! DR PRAEGER BURGERS ARE DA BOMB DOT COM
Sara, do you have a typed list of your favorite gluten free things? I’d love a handy little shopping list so I can go grocery shopping for a friend who recently discovered she has Celiac’s.
Thumbs up if you think Ivy is the star of this video! Comment if you want to see more Ivy:)
I live in Paradise, CA…which was already a small town and relatively hard to find Gluten Free already. The town was nearly wiped out by the Camp Fire November 8, 2018. The population was over 30,000 before the fire and is only about 3,000 now. Many of us are living in RVs on our burned out lot awaiting the rebuild of our homes. Because of this, the 2 grocery stores we have left have been reducing their stock of gluten free items so it is getting harder and harder to find the things I could before the fire. I do often order from Amazon, but even they. I have Celiac Disease so have to have GF. Amazon is a good alternative, but their availability changes very often. Sometimes I can find great stuff that is affordable, but often things are only available in bulk. For instance instead of being able to by 1 box of GF pancake mix, I might only have the option to buy 8 at considerably higher prices. I plan to try some of things you showed us and hope I find a few that will work for me.
Just found your channel! And I love it! The last video with your son was so cute!!! <3
Hi from uk
Fabulous looking forward to cooking these recipes.. thank you for your time and effort x
This video posted the day we returned from a week-long trip to WDW! Ha. With three of our party being GF (including one celiac vegetarian), here is what we experienced. First, there is absolutely no need to call ahead or email as they instruct you to. Just check the box when making reservations (but note that you can’t do that when using the app). Second, in my experience, you have to ASK to speak with the chef if you want to. Most of the time, they will agree to it but not always. We did three character buffets (Crystal Palace, Akershus, and Tusker House) and the chefs brought out an assortment of GF food that was “safe” (not cross-contaminated) from the back. It was awesome. Third, the Nomad Lounge deserves a gold starthey have GF churros! And a variety of other delicious GF small plate choices. California Grill, Skipper Canteen, and 50’s Prime Time Cafe also deserve honorable mentions for their delicious GF/vegetarian fare. Fourth, Epcot proved to be the biggest disappointment. The choices at San Angel Inn are severely lacking. I will say, though, that the macaron ice cream sandwich at l’Artisan des Glaces was excellent (ask for the one from the back!). Finally, it should be noted that you can’t order GF food using the mobile order app. This is such bummer. It came in super handy for Dole Whip at Aloha Isle but, other than that, not awesome. Oh! Almost forgotshout out to the Contempo Cafe for their GF flatbreadso good we had it twice.
Thank you so much for showing me all the many alternatives. After so many years of cooking a certain way I need guidance in what products to buy. I am going out to buy some baby peppers! Fun!!!Love you videos
Thank you for doing this video. Would love it if you would consider also addressing gluten free fireworks party options and/or special events like MNSSHP.
Yummo.. The breakfast sandwich looks so good. I have been adding spinach and feta to my scrambled eggs but never thought of doing it the way you did for a meal prep. Love this idea. Thanks
I love Erin McKenna bakery!!!! I buy like $40 stuff to bring back home with me. Lol.
I have fresh spinach I need to use up. I’m making the breakfast sandwiches when this video is over. Do I need to prep the spinach in any way? I would believe this recipe will be so helpful when my fresh spinach is about to turn.
Can you possibly do an entire video on spinach or other veggies for this exact reason? Fruit is a no brainer….just freeze for smoothies but the veggies sometimes I just have to let go. I have dehydrated lots spinach to save what I can because then I can just be done quickly.
