Interesting presentation, but I wonder why he doesn’t just recommend people to go full carnivor. Why all these veggies and fruits and carbs on his Mediterranean low carb diet? What is the use of all that crap? It is not more nutrient dense than a carnivore diet and it can only do harm, because all these plants contain numerous toxins that give people all kinds of different bad reactions. Although I can imagine that his diet also solves the fatty liver problem, but it is definitely not the only way. Probably he doesn’t like the carnivor diet, because it is impossible to earn money from carnivor, because you can’t sell people complicated expensive formulas.
Honestly it varies for each person so much…every time I meet a nutritionist for this they’re not helpful and they recommend fruits and vegetables which are literally the problem!
I too just had a flair up in my chrons and I need to not eat dairy as often as I was!
Amazing video DOc. I Will share it as much as posible. Best regards from Barcelona
Hot water with Chicken bolion in it is my savior… it’s the only thing I can stomach most times. Even straight water hurts my stomach.
Hey everyone! I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease about 3 years ago. Since then I’ve been in and out of remission, but as of right now I feel amazing. I made a couple videos on my channel about my story if you wanna check it out!
This needs to be on the head lines all over the world, We need to give our livers a rest with fasting or die sooner!
Any one tried the Custokebon Secrets (do a google search)? We’ve noticed many awesome things about this popular fat burn secrets.
For me personally, I’m vegetarian (for unrelated reasons) and try to avoid fatty or greasy foods, or soda. I also eat more carbs and fibers that are easy to digest.
But that’s just me, everyone with Crohn’s is different
Everyone watching this video don’t believe this bull shit this girl is feeding you because everyone is different in what they can eat, try things somethings work for other people but not some, like I do fine with dairy idk what she talking about garnish….
My doctors diagnosed me as IBS but IBS ttt didn’t improve my problem so I think it is crohn disease I want to confirm the diagnosis but it is very difficult for me to do an endoscopy, are there any other ways to diagnose it??
Are there any symptoms that can differentiate IBS from crohn disease because I really get exhausted and depressed.
I can’t afford any more
I just got rid of my herpes virus k a lot of people still suffering from this virus because of what the medical doctors say when they when they found out you have herpes( there is no complete cure for herpes ) which is not true i was cured by @dr.osemen herbal remedy within 12 days of usage you can email and make purchase for your healing herbs from @dr.osemen. you can also contact him on WhatsApp +2348126072420 for another deadly diseases.
Thank you ! I have crohns in issues through large and small! Just misserable!
Yogurt everyday, and green tea with benfibre, every day, have really helped me. Ive tried everything over the years, sometimes I can eat anything, and others I cant eat at all, but yogurt and green tea have definitely curbed the frequency of attacks.
Low carbers have very bad gut microbiome so they r not making enough C8 Cells to fight Cov 19. ☹️
My favorite part of hospital visits is the fluffy sugar cake with frosting and sprinkles.
I exercise like crazy, still diabetic. The wine in food pyramid is funny since whole talk is about liver fat.
You can’t even say it from your own mouth so your not very smart at all anyone can read from a page so sorry going to a new page
Hi there, have you considered this kind of diet plan called the Custokebon Secrets? My work buddy says it helps people lost tons of weight. Is that possible? I also read many great review relating to this diet plan. Thoughts?
Guys. lost tons of weight does not need to be hard (I used to think it did). I’ll give you some advice now. Look for a popular weight loss diet plan called Custokebon Secrets (google it). Thanks to it I’ve lost lots of fat. I shouldn’t even be talking about it cause I don’t want lots of other guys out there running the same game but whatever. I’m just simply in a great mood right now and so I will share the wealth haha.
Not sure about the smoking comment. I read just today that French researchers are starting a trial using nicotine patches Vs placebos; this is based on a survey that showed smokers were 80% less likely to be infected with COVID-19 than non-smokers of same age and sex.
wow, i am sharing your talk as far and wide as i can. especially to my GP and Endocrinologist who told me over a year ago she isn’t interested in my ketogenic diet. My HgA1c went from 6.8 to 6.0 in a few months. no drugs, just keto. she still didn’t care. thank you thank you thank you!
Its still surprise me, how many people are not aware about Custokebon Secrets, although lots of people get good results because of it. Thanks to my work buddy who told me about Custokebon Secrets, I have lost a lot of weight with it without starving myself.
had my galbladder removed too,is that going cause me more complications and limit my diet more also…besides chrohns restrictions?
The thing is I’ve had Crohn’s disease for years and I never noticed they did treatments they don’t work but a doctor who figured it out was Doctor Rivera I thank her so much! If she wouldn’t had noticed I would’ve died
Why even recommend ANY dairy! We are the only species to drink milk after our baby years. It just doesn’t make sense! Not your mom, not your milk. No point in consuming dairy. Choose plant-based milks your body will thank you!
QU I have Hashimotos(thyroid autoimmune disease) and nail psoriasis, maybe beginning of psoriatic arthritis(autoimmune)
BUT I have been low carb for 18m and keto, lost 25kg, now just overweight and 10kg from normal weight, 54, my liver is now healthy, do my autoimmune diseases effect me badly if I got cv19? Am I immuno-impaired? Will I get massive “cytokine storm” cos my immune system already attacks me? I think I may be panicking for not much reason. I bet many Ladies feel this way. Thank you.
I have chrohns disease I eat wtf I want I’m always bloated and constipated n I’m trying to loose weight I try sticking to my diet but I can’t I can only eat twice a day anything more my belly well hurt
Get a microbiome study and a hidden allergy blood test. Thank me later.
This is the thing they don’t tell you about Crohn’s disease, not all treatments works, in my case none and that not everybody goes into remissions. I’ve had Crohn’s 35 years and I’ve recently found out that in all these years, my disease has never gone into established remission and all the years I’ve beat myself up and thinking that I was some kind of a neurotic hypochondriac always in pain and in discomfort, the hospital knew it through regular blood tests and reading my inflammatory markers but didn’t care to tell me as some of those arrogant gastroenterologists do have their personal selective “guinea pigs” and I was one of them and still am. Crohn’s disease is an illness I wouldn’t wished on my worst enemy because it’s a nasty one that doesn’t entitled you any support from society, and sufferers of this vile illness aren’t completely informed and made aware of the numerous complications on the human body that Crohn’s causes. And the most important fact that aren’t addressed by doctors and nurses to their patients with the disease is the heavy toll it has on mental health. Twice I was made to feel guilty about being anorexic and on both occasions it wasn’t at all my fault but my mind was screaming to my body that all food caused pain, because unfortunately to this day, every time I eat, I will have to lay down as I experienced a lot of pain and discomfort until my abdomen settles, but those hospital outpatients appointments never tells you that, and they don’t make clear to their patients that everyone has individual experiences. For example, in the five years they thought I had cancer because I’ve never had atypical symptoms for Crohn’s disease. And no treatments has worked and now, the hospital is working on my terms and I’m on multiple medications for pain reliefs and strong vitamin supplements to make sure I remain healthy. However the most important part of my treatment is my mental health as my Crohn’s is very sensitive to my mental health. But that’s the thing, hospitals aren’t always on top of your mental health, hence why I feel sufferers of Crohn’s disease should always make sure that their health professions are including your mental health as part of your treatment programs, it is very important. Due to my Crohn’s and the complications of the disease, my eyes have been affected, complications from both uveitis and side effects from “wonder drugs” to calm down my arthritis. My liver and right kidney has been damaged by side effects of another “wonder drugs” to calm down my Crohn’s symptoms and I also have a blood disorder, something I was born with and for some strange reason the Crohn’s don’t get on with and as I get older, there’s a big list of food products that gut can’t tolerate, which has totally ruined my chances of becoming a vegan lol. However, my point is that people with Crohn’s or any ongoing health issues, please don’t just rely on the health professions that’s dealing with your health issues because they all don’t give you the whole truth. Become proactive and get yourself informed about your rights and the whole umbrella of complications surrounding your medical complaint/issue. Crohn’s disease is seriously the apex of the giant iceberg that is the disease, so personally get to know your illness, your pain and your mental health because only you truly know how you feel. You can read all texts and medical information about your disease but all those side effects and symptoms they mention, it doesn’t always mean you will experience them as your body operates by its own tempo and not by the rate medical journals states. For example, the most common drugs used to treat the symptoms of Crohn’s is steroids, however my body can’t tolerate the drug as it caused severe internal bleeding. Another drug common with treating the symptoms of Crohn’s is Azathioprine, however due to a supposedly mild blood disorder I was born with, I became violently ill within a few weeks and have permanent damage to my liver, which is under regular check to prevent liver disease. So, it’s very important to be proactive in your ongoing treatments and to ask for appropriate care, especially if you feel your mental health may be comprising your physical health
Diet Plan called Custokebon Secrets kept appearing here on many videos and I thought they were scams. However after my work buddy follow it, and finally lost a ton of weight with it without starving herself. I’m persuaded. Do not take my own word for it, search for Custokebon Secrets on the google search engine.
What a great video that is full of information. actually, my friend has suffered from this problem. During this time he was very upset. Then Someone told him about Planet Ayurveda, he went there and took treatment. Now he is fine. So, if anyone is facing such kind of problem or any other health-related problem. You should go to Planet Ayurveda.
It’s impossible to advise anyone with this disease as everyone has different triggers and intolerences. I was diagnosed in 2005 and it’s been tough finding my path and still feel healthy. Milk products are out ( and should be for everyone anyway ) and things like chocolat are killers as are Peppers and anything from the cabbage family. My diet is boring and means I Don’t accept invitations to eat as often the restaurant hasn’t anything I can handle and if I do eat for peace I pay the price. People say I am picky when I am not, just careful. I tell anyone who tries to force me to eat Something that it’s like forcing a diabetic to eat sugar. When I do meet someone who has it we exchange notes but they usually are very different. Some people cannot give up the ‘ wrong’ food like alcohol and meat and prefer to suffer or take meds. When I’m ill I feel like dying, when I’m not I am on top of the world, it is what it is.
Recently been diagnosed. But also recently been under a high amount of stress and pressure for years and THAT is when it hurts most for me of course the ulcers suck and everything
Thanks Dr Nicolai Worm, a fan of Low Carb Down Under, and have researched NAFLD at length, since tracking the Chronic Inflammation problem. Avoid sugar and milk helps massively, I went from going to the toilet 25 times a day to around 8 times.
Ulcerative Colitis is a serious problem. one of my friends facing this from the last 5 years. he tried lots of medicines but no effects and no relaxation but after Planet Ayurveda Ulcerative Colitis care pack. now he is feeling he can overcome from Ulcerative Colitis
This presentation should be seen by every Doctor at every level throughout the world. We have a sick world and it is time to realise that LCHF life style is our saviour J R Savage UK Excellent Paul.
Sooo outdated! “You can eat whatever you like as long as it doesn’t bother you” (showing wheat bread)
I have Crohn’s disease idiot!
I am still in the high carb PBWF camp (due to epidemiological and longitudinal studies such as AHS-2, the inflammatory effects of animal produce, and gut and microbiome considerations), but respect that low carb diets might be better for some who are insulin resistant and NAFLD. A quality presentation by Dr. Worm. Thanks.
You need to INCREASE the volume on your video your voice is too low… hence, many will lose your important message!
Historians will have heard of the Diet of Worms ;-). Now we have a new one that is fascinating. Danke, Herr Doktor!
I tried to alleviate my crohns by eating as healthy as possible, but it only made it worse. Eating things like fresh fruit and vegetables or nuts just lead to a bowl obstruction. I’ve had to switch to basically meat and grains only, but it’s helped me stay pain-free for over a year now. I’ve even had to go as far as biting off the ends of french fries to avoid the potato skin. But the lack of pain is absolutely worth it.
Hi Dr. Mason. I’ve been watching your videos. I’ve been on ketogenic (hi fat, med protein, and very little carb in the form of veg). Every time, by day 2, I am severely uncomfortable with constipation. Could you shed any light on this? What might I be doing wrong?
I’ve been on a ketogenic diet for 3 months. I’ve lost 30 lbs. I still have 50 lbs to loose. I am 64 years okd. Never diabetic. blood pressure is a little high but coming down. 138/75144/90. all my numbers are normal. Would I stand a pretty good chance if I got the virus?
its so individual and thats why no dietician really helps. My husband has a J pouch and his diet is so limited. He just eats crap he knows he can stomach. I worry he is vitamin deficient now tho
Thanks, but check out the presentation of Prof. Lustig at Low Carb Denver 2020 where he states that it’s not visceral fat but fatty liver and pancreas due to fructose. Its fascinating where this is going. I am already insulin resistant so low carb is the only option now. Those who are not could probably do the vegan thing with success if they avoid sugar. I can’t though.
Dr. Mason: What about a Type 1 diabetic who is on an ultra-low carb diet, and whose HA1C is in the non-diabetic range (averaging around 5.3)? Can such a person still be considered insulin resistant, and therefore at heightened risk?
No no no this is stupid your not supposed to eat many vegetables and fruits they have fiber I didn’t know I had crohn’s disease and my doctors made me have fiber everyday and almost killed me DONT EAT FIBER IF YOU HAVE CROHN’S DISEASE THE PAIN WHEN YOU GO TO THE BATHROOM IS HARrDD AND REMEMBER YOUR NOT ALONE IF YOU HAVE CROHN’S DISEASE
Why is it that nutritionists never mention the inflammatory effects of some foods? I understand that animal products are pro inflammatory and plant products are anti inflammatory so surely this should at least be mentioned.
Thank you for this it’s one of the best presentations I’ve seen just stating exactly what is… BEAUTIFUL!!!
You idiot if you have Crohn’s disease you can’t eat wheat bread you’ll get bad constipation and everybody with Crohn’s disease has hemorrhoids THE PAIN IN THE BATHROOM IS HARSHHHH DONT EAT WHEAT BREAD UNLESS YOU WANT TO BLEED AND CRY
If you like this video, check out his ‘low cab down under’ videos, where he is speaking to an audience. He’s much more animated than when reading a script. Content, as always, excellent! Cheers
Hi Dr. Paul. Just a quick question (not sure if it’s related to this coronavirus video of yours). I’ve been doing IF for a few years now and OMAD in the last 10 months. I feel very good all around especially with my mental sharpness. Although my cholesterol levels are high (6.9 mmol/L), it’s ok because you said as long as Triglycerides to HDL ratio is below 0.8. Mine is 0.35 mmol/mmol (.6/1.7).
But is my ALT level of 53 u/L a cause of concern for my liver given that the Australian recommended range (RMH Hospital ) is below 40 u/L?
Thanks heaps for all your informative videos. Cheers.
Great info and well designed. Thank you! I teach classes for a Fall Prevention program for older adults and there is a lot of info in this presentation that I would like to share with my participants.
amazing video, I learned a lot, despite I already know a lot about low carb / high-fat diet. You mentioned vegetable oils. I would like to know your take on unrefined organic coconut oil (high in saturated fat)
Hello, I am learning (trying) about Crohn’s Disease as a friend of mine has just been diagnosed. I practice fasting, I am sure fasting could help very well? But conducting research online I am not having much luck? I would appreciate anyone who could tell me how good or bad fasting maybe for Crohn’s Disease? Thank you.
Fantastic. One of the most concise and clear explanations anyone could hope to hear.
Thank you for your effort. I am going to forward this to most of my friends and post it on Facebook. I will be curious to see if the average lay person gets it but I think they will.
My father didn’t eat food for long time..an Dr he just taking two bites bread for whole day..he have b.p and diabetic and he have little stone in kidney…5 mm stone… Please share solution I will pay money my email: [email protected] netprologic.com and [email protected] gmail.com

Hi people. My daughter who is 28 has been diagnosed with crohn’s disease. Now my question is. The doctor has given her 8 tablets a day to take which has so many side effects. I want to ask does she have to take these tablets or can it be controlled with a diet???
I was part of one of the largest diet trials in the U.K.. The trial was run by Surrey and Ulster universities and was almost a clinical trial.
The diets were randomly distributed between the 200 participants.
The only diet to normalise cholesterol ratios, level insulin, reduce lean tissue loss (Dexi scan every two weeks) and improve all metrics was the ‘Atkins’ diet.
Despite the findings the ‘Rosmary Connely diet”,which was not a diet, but a diet exercise regimen, so not strictly a ‘Diet’ showed the most weight loss, next to the ‘Atkins’ diet only model.
When the results were published dieticians said “This CAN’T be right” and still continued to vilify Dr.Robert Atkins and animal fats.
I was on the Atkins diet.
I had a head injury, I was the victim of a hammer attack by a recovering alcoholic religious delusional not long after this and this triggered an auto immune disease which impacted badly regarding my mental health, I began drinking and reverted back to regular diet, this led to 12 years of chronic illness and i went from a fit, very strong man, to a fat, sick invalid with fibromyalgia, IBS, hypertension, skin conditions etc.etc.
I went full carnivore two years ago, ALL of my health problems have GONE.
The only problem is any digression from this diet makes me sick, albeit in varying degrees. A few spoons of peanut butter could make me sick for a week, in bed for three days!
Well, I’ve survived thus far on Part 1 of the series. Any idea, Dr. Mason, for when you might be ready with a follow-up? And thank you for presenting the evidence so clearly!
How they’re showing vitamin D deficiency Strongly correlates to severity of COVID-19 symptoms. The following video describes in detail vitamin D in the immune system and COVID-19. https://youtu.be/cDnokrtWJNo
Nice video but gender biased} I ama male adolescent who has had Crohn-s for 7 years (since I was ten(. It is not pleasant and rgough I have had this onlz for 7 years, this is forlife! Please in the future show some MALE patients as well, this is NOT a gender specific disease} Thanks}
Thank you Paul. Another easily understood, comprehensive overview of the role of poor diet and adverse health outcomes. I think that the message is slowly getting through.
What oils or foods are the best sources of saturated fats? Many tout extra virgin olive oil from North Africa or Spain because it’s highest in polyphenol tyrosol aka Oleuropein. Please advise.
God bless you Dr. Paual Mason for having the courage to go counter-culture to tell us the truth about what the quacks are telling us just to turn us in to SICK slaves depending on the druids of greed to steal our health, our life estates and kill us off the ponzi scheme of social entitlement programs like the US Social Security program. It’s high time for all humans to WAKE UP and revolt against these evils put in place to enslave us all to mediocrity..
Your content is very informative.
The volume is much too low.
At age of 70 I went LCHF june 2018 I lost 23% of my starting bodyweight. I feel brilliant My wife has sleep apnea and adopted LCHF too but changed to eating a vegetarian high carb diet and has become obese. I see it every day so sad
Every dietitian that I have spoken with gives very outdated information. It is like going back in time into the 80’s. They only scratch the surface on dieting. Very basic. They will tell you to take a Centrum vitamin which are not soluble. Or eat things with artificial sweeteners in them in order to avoid sugar.
I would also say spend less time surrounded by EMFs. Studies have shown those exposed the most and live near cell towers, have the higher blood glucose levels. We are sitting around eating, staring at our phones, smart TVs and computers living in towns and cities wired up to the nines. This is the perfect metabolic storm.
Cytokine storms lead to sepsis which leads to organ failure and reduced blood flow to the limbs + generally poor oxygen uptake by the blood. Dr Paul Marik has developed a new drug cocktail to combat sepsis.

The diet is very important, as you pointed out.
When this pandemic began, I looked in our history and found most virus pandemics (as opposed to bacterial) usually lasted for 1 year.
That’s how long it takes for our collective immunity to handle a virus that has no vaccine.
I wrote an article in early march about that.
Yes, it’ll be a tough year – economically and health-wise but in 12 months, we’ll recuperate.
The key is making sure we and our loved ones are protected and survive this year
What’s the secret?
Not being infected is one.
But then, the single factor that you need to pay attention is “speed of reaction”.
The speed of how fast our bodies eliminate the virus will determine our resistance or DAMAGE this virus will cause to your body.
There’s no doubt in my mind It’s the one factor that can determine life or death.
What can we do to increase that naturally… for (almost) free?
Check out my channel for that video.
Some of the myriad benefits of fasting on the immune system and for anti-aging, all evidence based:
Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Ideal blood sugar is around 80. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus.
When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state.
It stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses. AMPK does many helpful things in the body including activating the body’s antioxidant defenses.
Deep ketosis virtually eliminates inflammation in the body. This can offset the life threatening symptoms of viral pneumonia which effectively kills you through inflammation. This also creates BHB ketones in your body, which also help your immune system and anti-oxidative system, especially in the brain. Ketones also provide an additional energy source during infection, which is critical when trying to fight off a bug. In fact you can have as much as three times the total energy available in your blood when you are in deep ketosis, or even more.
It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention!
T and B immune cells retreat to the bone marrow and are renewed at a genetic level, each cell having all its DNA repaired. This supercharges your immune system and makes your cells young again. On top of all this, fasting encourages the direct apoptosis (death) of infected cells, shortcutting the typically length and messy process of killing them off through macrophages which can kill off bystander cells and is part of how cytokine storms cause issues..
Your body releases interferon which is also triggered by the body during viral attacks to shut down the replication ability of the surrounding cells and stop infections.
After 72 hours or more fasted, your body actually recycles large numbers of immune bodies and creates new ones, rejuvenating your entire system. In this process many white blood cells and mitochondria fuse together and the working parts of damaged cells are kept while the bad ones are recycled. Stem cells also release into the bloodstream at this point.
When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells. This kills these cells off completely. Senescent cells are responsible for the effects of aging and are the root cause of the development of cancer. If it were possible to destroy them all it would completely stop aging and cancer. That is not possible but fasting can help limit these effects by killing off many of the affected cells and limiting the future effects of aging.
Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth, helping a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers.
Eating one meal a day can bring most of these benefits to a lesser degree, and adding a few entire days off from eating per week will have even more effect especially when starting to feel poorly.
Pregnant or nursing women should not fast, nor should people with pancreatic tumors or hypoglycemia. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution. People with Addison’s disease may also be unable to fast. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind simply break the fast and seek advice.
This mean if we use cholesterollowering drugs we have higher risk with corona?
Paul, this is the most thoughtful explanation I have seen. Than you so much! Since going keto in January 2018, I’ve become somewhat of a keto/IF freak. It changed me so much for the better. It’s remarkable the reaction I get. So many question what I have learned because of the prevailing dogma they subscribe to. Others are asking me for advice, and have benefits from the same information that has helped me so much. Much appreciated what you and other doctors (who have credentials in particular) are doing to help us all. Thanks again. p.s. I have not been sick even once since I started, which is amazing to me, as everyone else I know gets the flu, colds, etc.
Thanks!! Your broadcast certainly helps me stay the course on my LCHF diet. Almost a year now.
I am in total agreement on the metabolic syndrome in regards to C19. From various papers I conclude that it can either be the comorbidity by itself or it could be also impacted by the medications given to treat those chronic diseases. With Insulin that is not a question, with ACE inhibitors it is closely related but I think that also statins have most likely an effect by reducing the LDL levels needed for a healthy immune system. Would be interesting if you research that and provide an opinion. Thanks.
This is good information that healthcare agencies and many doctors won’t tell you that will help keep you healthy in general, not only to prevent acquiring and having serious complcations from COVID-19. It’s too bad that the regular allopathic healthcare system seems to want to keep you unhealthy and give you drugs with significant negative side effects that can make your health worse! Hopefully, Dr. Mason will mention the importance of vitamin C and D in another video. Information like this is suppressed and the ONLY way we are told to keep healthy is to stay at home, keep social distance, wash your hands, and wear a mask. Absolutely nothing is mentioned about the importance of nutrition and its importance to have a healthy immune system. How can you separate nutrition from health? A proper functioning immune system and poor nutrition is mutually exclusive.
I have found that if I mention the importance of vitamin C and D, to healthcare people or government agencies, some agree but will do nothing to change their stance and continue suppressing the nutrition information. They will not walk their talk. Sometimes I get push back and they blindly refuse to believe studies or reports that vitamin C is effective against COVID-19 and vitamin D is effective against acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). It seems like they would rather believe a lie than to believe the truth and embrace drugs or vaccines that do harm people with their all to often side effects.
People need to do their civic and moral duty and stop suppressing and rather promote nutrition as a way to lessen the effects of COVID-19 and reduce deaths-and also reduce the economic distress caused by governments proclamations to reduce the spread of the virus.
I started Keto in late november 2019, at >140Kg, Metformin, 62 units of injected insulin / day. Enalapril, And yes Statin of course. At the end of January 2020 I could remove the last of those drugs:)
Today the scale shows 103Kg, so I still have a bit to go as far as weight is concerned. But I feel absolutely great! Like I’m on some super drug. Today when I see these extrem sport people do something crazy my instinctive reaction is; pfft. I could do that!:D
It makes sense to start the analysis of the situation we are now facing by considering the relationship between virus and host. It makes sense evolutionary speaking to start from the premise that a host and its metabolic state influences the outcome of the virus’ capacity to use our machinery for its spread and survival. So,if we start with that premise we need to say that a host already facing a compromised metabolic state, ill, inflamed, unhealthy, Covid-19 finds fertile ground for its fight for survival. The host, already immunologically compromised cannot “ put up a good fight”. In the end,CORONA wins. So, age is a factor BUT ITS NOT LINEAL. Vitamin D deficiency, obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases are found in younger populations. This illnesses give COVID-19 an upper hand in the fight for survival. It’s a COMBO of metabolic conditions which gives any kind of virus the upper hand
This is great. I have seen no Governments discussing the importance of good health to help fight C19. Nothing even on supplementing on Vitamin C D & A zinc, magnesium… Which makes you think are they all in the hands of big pharma and waiting on a Vaccine
Once again a terrific video from Dr. Paul Mason!
I had already read/heard that most of COVID19 patients in ICU were obese or overweight, but the explanantion from the journalists (at least here in France) was a bit short: they are obese so they don’t have a good health. Now, thanks to Dr. Mason, I understand better the implication of insulin levels and glycation in diseases like the flu and the covid19.
Excellent information. Thank you. But does this mean I should be reducing or eliminating my intake of cold pressed olive oil on salad? As we see on the Mediterranean diet (I’m referencing the part about walnut oil)
Beautifully described. I’m convinced. A great run-through. Thanks
So much evidence high carb is dangerous but it is still put forth as ” heart healthy”. Same with admonition to avoid saturated fat. Twilight Zone.
Even with my poor english I can understand him easy and clear. THANK YOU FROM POLAND.
On the contrary, smokers are less prone to getting COVID 19 as a number of studies in China and Europe have shown.
I have heard these many times from many doctors but still some people afraid of keto diet they think fat is bad for them and they gonna die if they don’t eat carbs and some doctors say keto is dangerous ♂️
How to survive corona virus: be a human being with white blood cells. With a mortality rate of 1% we’re not exactly talking about the plague here
It’s still shock me just how a number of people have no idea about Custokebon Secrets despite the fact that many people with it. Thanks to my personal friend who told me about it. I’ve lost lots of fat.
This Crohn’s Disease happens all of a sudden and the same thing happened to me. I woke up feeling too tired. I never knew what went wrong with my body. I took out my mobile and searched for a cure. On Youtube a name appeared again & again, Planet Ayurveda. I went there and they gave me Ulcerative Colitis Care pack and got well within 9 months.
All the religious people in the comments.
Not talking about the christian nuts, just the protein nuts.
Funny how protein intake (over a lowbaseline) is directly proportionate to all metabolic disease as well.
Is it safe to take a good quality cod liver oil supplement? I take the Piping Rock supplement which is ‘suposed’ to be good. The instructions are to store it in the fridge, and use within three months. I’m giving it to the family, but I’m concerned about the effects of oxidation.
This is THE BEST 30 mins anyone can spend on grasping the issue of how to be healthy especially in at time of covid 19 but all the time. THANK YOU PAUL. You are a real star in the firmament.
STAY CLEAR OF SUGAR! It is a ppoison! It causeus Crohn’s patients!s fatty liver, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and yes even cancer! Especially important for
The pain in the bathroom that people have because of Crohn’s disease is sad:( WE DESERVE A CURE!
Thank you. Sorry I missed it live. Great Information. Thank you very much.
How to survive CV…turn off all media and get out in the sunshine.
Thanks Paul. Was great to meet you at low carb down under last year. Just wondering what formula is low carb if you end up on a ventilator?? Do they have it in NZ hospitals? Definitely would not want the high carb formula!! Not planning to get Covid 19 but just gathering information…
Love this lecture, you have included all aspects of LCHF, and covid, and even include the danger of ventilation! (inability to save all) Especially appreciated is your comment on TPN, as an ICU nurse, I’ve been worried about these feeds for years.
Still no official link between Statins and sepsis? It will come.
If only Angel Keys was alive today to see these findings. I would love to see the expression on his face!!
Nice work Dr. Mason
Italian lawmaker demands Bill Gates be ARRESTED for ‘crimes against humanity’… But WHY?
An Italian lawmaker has managed to bring the conspiracy blame-game to an entirely new level, exercising her parliamentary privilege to blast Bill Gates as a “vaccine criminal” and globalist tool.
Bill Gates and his latest anti-coronavirus efforts have been at the center of the wildest theories that explore possible sinister motives behind the billionaire’s activities. In arguably the most high-profile outcry last week, an Italian MP for Rome Sara Cunial delivered a speech rarely (if ever at all) heard in any parliament.

Thank you for doing what you do, Doc Mason! The world needs to hear what you have to say!
Can someone tell me about best way to get and stay hydrated during a flu and normally? Is plain old water ok? Raw milk? Coconut water? Raw eggs? Thx.
how to survive corona virus, simple, just ignore that shit, go outside get sunshine and relax.
I am thinking more about brain health. There is some evidence that the fibre in carbs is beneficial to the brain. Is this true? See this study as an example:
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0304394016300775
Coconut has helped me with my intestinal problems…coconut oil…3 Tbls a day…., I add lots organic shredded coconut to my cooking…make homemade macaroons…yummy!, and I drink light coconut milk.
Hi, I have done surgery for right ingunal hernia 6 month ago and left hernia 2 months ago but still I am feeling pain over the area. This pain happens because intestinal??
Six months ago I was in sad shape. My joints hurt, my feet hurt, I was gaining weight at an alarming rate, and I had Insulin Resistance. Then I switched from a low fat/high carb diet to a low carb/high fat diet. I gave up processed foods and made sure I was eating far better. Now I’ve lost 55 pounds, my feet & joints no longer hurt, and I have far more energy. I’m so glad I discovered Intermittent Fasting and Low Carb BEFORE the COVID-19 Virus hit us.
Look like smoking will help you not catch the virus, go figure…
Here’s another way:
1 Start with an All natural PLant-based Herbal Detoxification Protocol for 10-14 days. ( I like to use Fresh raw Root herbs
2 Then Instead of using an FMT, Just use a wide strain Probiotic which you can Culture and Make yogurt in 48 hours.
3 Introduce a variety of Fresh Greens, root Vegetables and cruciferous vegetabes in your diet. Several Smoothies a day. (Eat organic as far as possible)
4 Stick to a Strictly Whole FoodPlant Based Diet. (No Refined foods. No processed foods. No Animal Foods)
5 No Soy, Wheat, Milk, Peanuts, Nuts, Seafood, Corn. (These are ‘Sensitive’ foods)
6 Drink plenty of only Carbon Filtered water to reduce levels of Chlorine & Chloramine
7 Extremely Important: Get 15 min of direct Ultraviolet Sunlight Exposure on your legs, arms, back, stomach and chest at least 3-4 times per week. Avoid getting burned, but ‘DO NOT use any form of SUNBLOCK cream.
8 Take a Vit D3 or D2 Supplement. At least 5000 IU per day.
9 Get adequate quality Sleep
10 Get some sensible gentle Exercise. Swimming and Biking.
11 Take a 3 min Shower. (Avoid long showers. Breathing in the ‘Chlorine’ adds to your toxic load)
12 Follow a good Stress Management Program that works for you
13 Replace household Cleaning products, washing powders and cosmetics with Natural Less Toxic alternatives
14 Stop all medication, drugs, steroids as soon as possible.

If you have digestive problems, try eliminating bread from your diet. I was diagnosed with IBS three years ago, and it’s gone now because I quit eating bread. The symptoms went away as a result of eliminating bread from my diet. Give that a try first before anything else.
If that doesn’t work, try to reduce inflammatory foods like sugar and vegetable oils.
Vegetable oils are man made(except for coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil and a few others) and can cause severe inflammation. Sugar, of course is inflammatory as well.
My thoughts are that you should only eat natural foods. We evolved to eat natural foods, and man made foods like vegetable oils and super pure foods like sugar can cause all kinds of inflammatory responses. Crohn’s disease and IBS are inflammatory conditions and may be reduced or eliminated by not eating sugar, bread or vegetable oils.
As one of your patients, I am still confused! you recommended I avoid fasting and low carb. If saturated fat is so okay, why have I had one of the worst colitis flareups of my life after introducing cream, full fat A2 milk, raw goat milk, goats yoghurt and cheese and loads of butter and some ghhe for cooking. I was not overweight, but since seeing you i lost over 20 lbs due to chronic bowel inflammation and internal haemorrhage! Please google palmitic acid inflammation as there seems to be an avalanche of articles and papers on a connection. Should we stear towards stearic acid containing fats rather than palmitic acid containing fats?
He’s ignoring insulin resistance and its role in this. Everybody ignores Round Up in the food supply.
Dr Jason Fung covers the insulin resistance in this but also ignores Round Up.
Minute 6:34 very interesting. Great video, audio is a bit low (just fyi, no big deal)
Awesome! Thank you for taking the time to make this video, with such a simple and concise message, it is much appreciated!
Great explanation video showing among other that all that people that were in good health and had problems with complications were maybe not really that healthy.
And just hearing name that criminal of Ancel Keys it makes me truly sick.
Weston Price, Pottenger and Robert Mccarrison did 99.9% of all the studies we needed to be healthy and disease free. The last 90 years have been a large scam to feed the masses slop and sickness. Of course most doctors are still in denial. Where is the money in a healthy population
My sleep apnea vanished within one month of going on the ketogenic diet. I’d probably hardly lost any fat at all at that point. (Eventiually lost 80lb after two years.)
I’m convinced the medial and nutritional system is designed to give you an early death.
My friend’s grand father was suffering from liver disease from last 3 years. He moved to ayurveda and took medicine from planet ayurveda. Now he is feeling good.
His graph charts could be better. I’ve seen better & these are quite hard to look at & understand if showing these to a normal layman. I’m trying to convince my father abt keto/LCHF and these won’t cut it.
Great talk thankyou. Reversed my fatty liver with low carb. Elevated GGT for years then CT scan looking for diverticular disease. Found fatty liver and pancreas. Was told it was nothing to worry about! Low carb, healthy fat, mostly animal fat but always olive oil for salads daily and some cooking. Had fibroscan to show liver now happy. So important to treat NAFLD as serious.
So what is the defined level of “High Blood Pressure” in COVID cases? We know that there are different opinions about what IS HBP. Thanks for all you do.
Vegans: “Humans need carbohydrate.”
Science: “Carbohydrate is a non essential macro-nutrient in humans.”
In India Crohn’s disease is relatively rare than the West, I have been diagnosed with Crohn’s, can’t eat wheat or oats, Or anything that has a lot of fiber. Can’t go for a fiber free diet for too long, that would cause risk of getting diabetes, as it runs in my family. Can anyone suggest anything, talked with multiple doctors online, they wasn’t much of help. I have been diagnosed with Crohn’s in May this year, since then I cannot risk myself to get a physical check up much, due to the rampant spread of COVID-19 in my city, can I get suggestions about what foods should I try. Lastly, my affected part is small intestine (Terminal illeal ulcers). THANKS.
After the guy talks about fructose harming the liver, his food pyramid has sweet fruit at the base. Go figure.
Dr Paul. Is there any way of getting a script of this video. My husband would find it very difficult understand the audio or process it.
Great presentation! I learned so much from this. Thanks Dr. Worm.
my dad:sees a video or a facebook post about crohns
also my dad:time to make fun of people with crohns even tho i have it
God bless you, thank you for such a marvellous video so caring of you to break it all down for the lay person. My doctor has had me tormented re my non compliance re cholesterol lowering meds. I had to take the decision to stop going no back up, understanding of low carb. She has me dead and buried. I’ve now got confirmation re LDL, cholesterol, BP. I’d done so much research over 2 yrs on low carb. Never had all this explained like you have done. I am smiling, Happy re my health progress. Subbed & Liked:)
Nutritionist only tell you to try everything and listen to your body… Everytime. This is what she literally said in this video.
What worked for me:
Humira or a comparable treatment.. (don’t be afraid of it..)
Smoke weed when your stomach hurts.
Take Cholestyramine twice a day to stop from going to the restroom nonstop. I had a foot of my small intestine removed and caused me to go non stop… Started Cholestyramine once at lunch and once at night. This made me stabilize be able to gain weight, absorb nutrients and go to the restroom normally.
Eat in moderation, don’t have Mexican 3 days in a row, or red meat 3 days in a row.
NO SOUP
Don’t eat tons of salad and fruit. Moderation is key.
Don’t eat tons of spicy. Again moderation is essential..
Stay away from Preservatives. Don’t eat frozen foods
Breads are great.
Smoke weed when your stomach hurts again.
minimize the alcohol (if you can stop do it). If you do drink take 6+ imodiums to put a plug in you…
Emergencies if weed doesn’t stop the pain and its excruciating… Go to the ER and get Diladden.. This i would only suggest if your in agony.
What didn’t work for me:
Green juices
Vegan/Vegetarian Diet
Clinical Trials (Stomach Parasite treatment didn’t work)
Weed only trials (done in netherlands). I did this in my own experiment, not with doctors.
Good luck all
Nico
