The USA is the worst Country for the promotion of cheap high Carb foods which are often GMO. There are”BIG BUCKS” involved hear. American Animal farmers use Anti-biotics and steroids to fatten up the Animals for slaughter for a quick turnover, A practice banned in the UK and throughout the European Union. The Uk is not known for it’s Fantastic sunny weather..we get lots of rain and rain and rain. And when it’s not raining it’s grey clouds. On a positive note we have lots and lot of rich green grass which the farmers feed their animals on. that’s why we have some of the best Beef and Lamb in the world like Scottish Angus Beef or Welsh Lamb the Uk is a great place to be a carnivore.

The problem is that everyone trusts what the FDA says. Which is odd, it’s a part of the government. Many people don’t trust the government, but they don’t question this part of the government. What they don’t know is that the FDA members are often people from pharmaceutical companies and other corporations. These people have more agendas than just the health of the American population. Just read the first article I found when searching on “FDA conflicts of interest”, that was actually available https://medshadow.org/conflicts-interest-fda/. Very interestingly, there were several results for it on the FDA website, yet all were broken links. Hmm. Anyway, we trust without question what the FDA says and the FDA is influenced by the most greedy people, big pharma. Big pharma stands the most to gain by promoting veganism, SAD, and anything that says eat grain, sugar (starches) and stay away from beef. And they have the most to lose if you’re healthy. The more unhealthy you are, the more the doctors will prescribe their company’s drugs and then the more the doctor will get kickbacks for doing so. Don’t ever question big pharma, they know what’s best for you.

Don’t forget, the MSM also recommends the vaccine diet for children. It’s also about money and control.
Vegans have lower BMI cause BMI doesn’t take into account muscle tone. I would have to get to negative 4% body fat to get to a “healthy bmi”. Worst thing doctors ever did was go to BMI. It reeked havoc on its in the military when they made the switch cause most of us became obese the next day.
Every year these studies are published nonstop. I first started doing keto in 2017. I went from 235 to 155 lbs.
Unfortunately I fell of last year, but now revamping with maybe 90% carnivore and some veg every now and then. And the weight, of course is dropping. I donate platelets every 2 weeks, so I get my cholesterol levels checked. They are consistently under 150 triglycerides are low. And feeling awesome! The only time my levels were high, was during Thanksgiving… go figure, I ate all kinds of sweet carbs then… Keto/paleo/carnivore worked wonders for me!
I use PingPal app to track habits with my friends, which helps me a lot.

Brianna, I’ll be very curious to see what you think about the new changes coming up in the WW program. I read about them on simply-nourished-living.com and I have very mixed feelings. I hit goal a year ago and made Lifetime on 12-31-16 and kept within my healthy range for about 8 months when I got derailed by a couple of life events. Now I’m about 12 pounds above my “free” zone and it’s very frustrating.
I think the keto and paleo diets have their place in the world, but I also think carbohydrates have their place. I’ve tried keto for a month it just was not for me. I lost some weight, but it quickly fizzled out and I’m sure the weight loss was only water weight. Btw, before anyone comes for me, I was tracking my food and using a food scale to do it, stayed below 30-50g of carbs and I did not like it. I liked that I could have heaps of fat, but hated that I could not have as many vegetables as I liked because of carbs. So, if a ketogenic diet works for you, that’s awesome, stick to it and get happy. But for me, it just wasn’t the right fit. I might go keto for a couple of weeks again, just to have an excuse to consume more butter, but that’s about it. It was fun to do but not sustainable for me

It’s not all bad news about diets that don’t work. Thanks to you and many other YouTubers, including doctors, the word is spreading about keto. Both my GP and psychiatrist are on board with me being on keto, and both of them are approaching 60, if not already there. There is also a grocery store in my city that has keto products, although some of them I wouldn’t consume on a daily basis because they have a lot sugar alcohols. That grocery store also does keto info sessions. And I spread the word about keto whenever it’s appropriate to do so. Doctors I know of on YouTube are Dr. Eric Berg, Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Boz (Annette Bosworth), Dr. Mindy Pelz, Dr. Eric Westman. Also nutritionist Amy Berger of tuitnutrition.
Grains & beans had me bloated & miserable…I’m happy to eat mainly grass fed meat, wild caught fish & pasture raised eggs for the rest of my life…this is 90% of what I eat & I work other foods around it but it’s not grains, sugar & loose stool beans
For me Habitica is the best app for habits. Because in order to make a habit stick, you need to reward yourself after you do each habit, and each time you check a habit in habitica, you gain money/xp, which spikes dopamine regardless if you like/interested in gaming or not. (I don’t even use the “gaming” aspect of it because ticking off my habit spikes up a lot of dopamine in me already) I’ve been using it for a while, and all these months I’ve been using different kinds of rewards, like one anime episode or one Cody Ko video, or one game of LoL, but I’ve always been distracted because of those rewards and on days of low willpower I ended up just bingeing on anime, etc which is the supposedly reward because, low willpower plus a overly high dopamine reward is a recipe for multiple cheat days. Using Habitica not only as a habit tracker, but also as a reward is really a game changer. You guys should try it:D

My favourite one that isn’t on the list and it’s (probably just) for Android is Loop Habit Tracker. It’s easy to use and has a nice UI, with both light and dark mode. And yes, it’s free!
It has all the necessary stats about habit strength, streaks and heatmap which shows you when and how frequently the habit was performed.
It’s quite good in my opinion because of it’s clear design.
I got my diet plan from NextLevelDiet and lost 2kg in just 10 days. So far, so good. Can’t wait to see numbers on scale after 20 more days. I am so excited about this.

Ugh, the volumetrics diet. I told a doctor I was doing this back in 2018, when my BMI was much higher. She totally applauded it and told me to keep doing what I was doing. I was constantly prepping in the kitchen, always thinking about food, and tired all the time. Just because you get to eat more of a certain food, it doesn’t mean it will keep you full for long. I continued to gain weight eating a bunch of salad, quinoa, random roasted vegetables, and whatever “lean” meats I threw in (the bloat sucked too).
Keto is a totally different story; a couple buttery eggs and some bacon strips for breakfast, and I’m sated. I don’t think about food again until the afternoon, and I can delay my meals without feeling like I’ll pass out.

SERIOUSLY?! Paleo and Keto aren’t seen as good?! My goodness… I eat my version of paleo, meaning I eat real food including some dairy and white/gold/red potatoes and brown rice (apparently potatoes arent seen as paleo depending on who youn listen to). Currently Im surrounded by holiday treats so my big focus at meal times is fat and protein so that I can have some gluten free cookies and attempt to keep my macros in balance. People are crazy. Eating whole natural foods will always help someone lose weight but its also a personal thing like with macros. Diet shouldnt be so complicated. Listen to your body’s response to certain foods and avpid what doesnt make you feel awesome. Easy.
After the holidays I plan to do a full week of carnivore and then slowly add in carbs I know I handle well, keeping it moderate to low carb intake. Very eager to get started!

Carnivore is not sustainable, really? Sorry, got no choice here, can’t do sad diet or vegan diet.
As an actual Mediterranean person, whose country is within the top 15 countries for life expectancy, I can tell you that the stereotype for the Mediterranean diet of being incredibly low in meats and fats is not true. We do eat plenty of vegetables, grains, and beans, but we also eat plenty of fish, chicken and beef.
Many of us claim that we only eat red meats about 4 times a month, but that is not counting the minced beef we add to our sauces (as in pasta sauces etc.), and raw herbed pork sausages (which can also be cooked) that we also eat. We have an abundant amount of seafood in the Mediterranean, so we eat a variety of fish like the Mahi-Mahi, tuna (both canned and in steak forms), swordfish, seabream, seabass, grouper, mussles, sea urchins, salmon, shrimp, anchovies and clams. We also eat lots of cheese and other dairy products.
Another thing no one seems to mention is that we love eating whole foods rather than buying fancy things marketed as “superfoods” or processed junk. We also, always prefer buying things fresh, rather than pre-packaged.
We don’t limit fats, in fact, we butter our breads, we cook with oil, we season food with oil.
Our desserts, not always include processed sugar, we often have desserts with fruits like dates and figs.
The red wine thing isn’t true. We do tend to cook with red wine, sometimes, but it’s not an everyday thing. We mostly tend to use it to cook things like seafood etc. in it. Overall, I’d say we mostly just drink one glass of red wine per week.

Thank you for your amazing videos! I have no idea how some people could think that grains are good for us. Grains destroyed my stomach for most of my life. My immune system was always compromised from processing the grains and plants that it was not properly adapted/evolved to deal with. I no longer get sick 3-4 times a year. Moving to a keto diet has completely healed my stomach and immune system.
I wouldn’t really consider someone who eats fish and chicken as any type of vegetarian. Ovo would be eggs and milk, but you chose not to do dairy and will still eat chicken and fish? That’s only cutting red meat and it’s products, not a vegetarian diet

I loved Habitica but my issue with it was that it was too glitchy, so I uninstalled it. I really hope they fix those issues because I really loved the idea of Habitica but it got to the point where I couldn’t use it
Sustainability is the most important way for any diet to work. For me keto and carnivore diet was not good for me after 4 years doing it now i just eat what i want high carb low fat diet been great. Not everyone can do keto and not everyone needs to it all depends on the person.
Reminds me of a book I read, “Food Politics” and “Unsavory Truth”, both by Marion Nestle. This is all about the food industry pouring money into PR firms. I know because I work in the media industry for a very long time.

I lost 30lbs on paleo, and then evolved to carnivore based. Numerous conditions cured (acne, eczema, IBS, irregular periods with massive cramps, smelly sweat, shaking if I don’t eat every hour). I have no trouble sticking to paleo or carnivore. I choose health.

I am looking for a weightless app that is specific to the way I Eat. I have allergies to everything high in sulfur. What app would be recommendable? I considered having surgery but I’m not sure if that’s even ideal for me.
I don’t eat fewer calories doing intermittent fasting. In fact, I probably eat more calories eating keto carnivore and doing OMAD/intermittent fasting because the one or two meals I eat are bigger and higher in fat. And yet I still lose weight or maintain my weight, whichever I’m trying to do.

Not sure if you’re answering comments but I sure hope so ’cause you seem like the perfect guy to ask: Do you now if there is a way (app, website etc.) to track habits AND qualitative life statistics like levels of mood, motivation, body states etc. so that it can help you detect and realize patterns? Simply put in perhaps banal examples: “Oh looks my mood drops every two days after I do x particular thing” or “Looks like a tend to spend more money related to x behavior”.
I hope my question makes sense and that you or perhaps some of your subscribers have some input or ideas.

Sadly, most of these still aren’t FREE! You can get the BASIC features for free, but to get full use of the app (which is pretty crucial if you want to get the most out of it), you have to pay a monthly subscription plan. This is STUPID. I shouldn’t need 8 apps to combine together. Isn’t there one app out there that is all inclusive AND 100% free???

The mainstream doesn’t hate keto. A lot of people are doing it. It’s most Doctors that hate keto. They think it’s unhealthy. Being a doctor doesn’t mean you know everything though obviously. Whatever. Regardless whether it’s healthy, a lot of people I know have lost weight fast on keto. I’m vegan, but I don’t think keto is necessarily bad for a person’s health. I don’t know much about it though honestly. I’m not really looking to lose weight. Keto would definitely be easier than vegan though. I won’t deny that. Meat is on every corner.
For ios Way of Life is a good one. It has a notes section for every single day! So you can journal why you succeeded or why you didn’t succeed. another good ios app is Alarmed. Alarmed is my favorite reminder app! So many cool options and customizations of notifications! Coolest reminder app ever!
Hi! Loved the video! I was looking to try a few apps for health management and I guess I hit the jackpot.:)
I use Lifesense to track the quality of my sleep, my morning heart rate and the intensities of my workouts. (Requires a smart watch)
I also use Samsung Health to track the foods I eat. I like to plan my meals so that I may only need to use the app once a week. I enter everything I’d consume for a day and make adjustments if needed. (Keep in mind, my diet is based on the 2017 Canadian Food Guide.)
Fooducate is not available in my area so I’ll have to figure out how to obtain it.
I’ll probably return in a few weeks and make an update on a few of the apps you mentioned.

For my experience.. keto or carnivore combine with intermittent fasting are most powerful to lose weight and improve health expecially reversing diabetes.
I have lost weight 38 kg since last year by doing keto / carnivore + fasting 16hours.
Keto probably more doable in long term rather than carnivore… Because more food variety… And some people can be hypoglycemia if consume 0 carbs.

Dash diet for one is scary. I have the recipe books from a few years ago and I can’t be believe they recommend this diet for diabetics. Unbelievable!!!!!
I can’t believe anyone would promote WW as a healthy way of eating. Assigning points to food is disordered eating habits and just does not guarantee weight loss. It’s as bad as mono diets.

Kait, I’m just wondering if you have any suggestions to fix constipation when eating Carnivore? When I eat that way I suffer badly…not sure where I’m going wrong. I asked this on another Carnivore site & was told to “up” my salt intake…but this caused my bp to go up(not good!) & I felt dreadful. I prefer to eat this way as I love meat/butter/cream/eggs! But I do get so confused as, when I eat oats for breakfast, I “go” regularly (& easily). Help!
I thought the app was so cute and intriguing. After using it for a week, I realized it wasn’t for me. The recipes are way too bland for my cultured taste. I am used to foods with lots of spices and the way these foods are cooked tasted horrid. Could hardly down a lot of recipes without adding spices or chile afterward.
Just finished watching a video by dr Paul Mason talking about how an enzyme called hormone sensitive lipase is needed for the fat to get out of the cell and how high insulin blocks this enzyme. So in our “science” based list let’s ignore the 2 diets that keep insulin the lowest. Also weight watchers having all of the fruit as 0 points is such a joke and even more ridiculous is anyone who says a vegan diet is more sustainable than a keto or paleo diet.
I can’t weight until carnivore gets more popular, if these ppl are having hissy fits over paleo or keto carnivore will make their heads explode.
I am Italian. Italian people aren’t healthy and are often overweight. They eat too much grains like pasta pizza bread. My father has followed the right mediterranean diet (many vegetables and very small meat because his family was poor) and had the cancer at 28 years old. The mediterranean diet isn’t healthy.

Do you calculate macro in carnivore diet? I usually eat rump and ribeye steak, organs, beef briskets, bones, etc. once a while I will have some smoked trout, or mackerel (actually just ordered a calf head and a whole set of organs from cowsharing here) However, I notice that I still consume quite a lot of protein. SO difficult to lower the protein under 100g…but if I eat less protein, I don’t feel satiated..the best is to combine with liver.
Diet trends.. Golly most of the people I mix with still count calories >>> how nuts is that, These weight watcher type clubs are leading people wrong!!!!!! in my opinion..

I will never going back to eating sugar and carbohydrates. My body tell me the main stream advice is wrong.
Its simple, they always use sciencey arguments that dont make a lot of sense. Eliminating food groups?, every diet eliminate them to a certain extent, and you cant eat them all, because you have a limited amount for each one, its like knowing all science disciplines, but not specializing in one vs being very good at physics, thats how I see it. The current recommendations allows 50 to 60 grams of fat or something like that and they eliminate certain high fat foods or reduce them entirely. So its hypocritical to use that argument. The other argument I hear is about not being sustainable and that people in general dont follow the dietary guidelines recommendations(well duh they dont follow it, because they dont work, people are miserable just counting calories, only a small percentage of people manage to be successful at dieting long term. ). keto its the number one trend diet along with Intermittent fasting at this moment, I have seen more success stories of them, than any other diet combined. So again, the arguments are pretty weak. Then comes figures like layne norton which tries to sound like he knows it all, to diminish the excitement about people changing their health. Again I am not asking for everyone to be keto, I am just saying it deserves more praise and more recognition, people are changing their lives, going off medications, managing certain diseases like epylepsis, pcos, diabetes etc. WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE ENOUGH in order for nutritionist and mds to recognize it and openly recommend it?, I think it wont honestly, so at the end of the day keep doing it and ignore them, and do what works for you.

I am 51 years old and have tried to exercise and eat correctly my whole life. I ate low fat and a heavy plant based diet most of my life, thought it was the right thing to do. As I got older I got fatter, started losing muscle, and had chronic pain. I now eat almost nothing but meat, getting stronger, getting leaner and feel a decade younger. From what I see I am not alone and believe the evidence for a keto or carnivore style diet overwhelming. Do they want us to stay fat and sick? It really is starting to feel that way.
Please DO try the DASH diet after getting a full blood panel, you are young and healthy and can take one for the team! I’d LOVE to see your results. I’m almost positive (like you are) that your stats would actually get worse after eating that way.

I never count calories and my weight has stabilized. 25 years of calorie counting resulted in 2 1/2 decades of being overweight with intervals of weight loss then followed by weight gain again and again. Total BS way to live! DASH and Vegan diets are the worst!

“They” don’t want us to be on the proper human diet (keto) because everyone would be healthy so who could they medicate then? I’m so frustrated by this, l lost 25 years of my life to illnesses, I listened to my doctors, nutritionist, diabetic clinic advice etc. When I said this is enough last year and found keto my life changed so much. In one damn year I’m no longer diabetic, off over a dozen meds and lost 126 pounds. Every illness is gone but still my Dr wants me to eat carbs! I no longer go to the Dr. Lol. Sorry to ramble but this makes me so mad.
