The timing of this video couldn’t have been better as we are looking for a nice first horloge for her. Kudos!
Thanks for this video, it took me ages to find help with luxury watches for women. Great help!
Horrible list. Fitbit Versa 2 has just 3 sensors and gives horrible accuracy. Garmin Forerunner 945 is the best fitness smart watch.
I love diamond watches, but its too expensive for a mum like me. I bought a nice diamond one from elsanar.com (huge Sale 70% Off),, https://elsanar.com/collections/womens-watches
I also vouch for Omega being the best choice for ladies watches:)
Longines Master Collection (they make it in 25 and 29 mm ) is a great piece, for a price around 1700 SFR.
nice one. I can share a others option here also: bit.ly/2PuBdGY
As one of the few women commenting on this video, the 38,5mm Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M has been my daily wear for 4 years (ref. 231.10.39.21.57.001, which is the two-barrel calibre 8500 under Tahitian nacre with diamond indices). The case wears 47,5mm lug-to-lug, and the bracelet is hinged such that it actually fits my 13,5mm wrist. Rolex’s 40mm supercases wear at 51mm on modern Oyster bracelets and 49,5mm on Jubilees because of the end-links. This is why I give my sport watch money to Omega. I’d love to see a roundup of unisex-ish, usefully-complicated watches (GMTs, flyback chronos, &c.), with solid movements, wearing at 48mm or smaller.
Great video as always, although best renamed “entry-level luxury’ watches for women. You’re not too kind with the Cartier Tank, but in my view they deserve a mention as they are a design Icon, and quartz movements offer practical benefits many women prefer (dixit FP Journe). You also cannot compare a Tudor with a Lady Datejust I encourage you to enter a store and try on both models A Rolex pink gold and steel datejust with a fluted bezel is an exceptional looking piece, whose design remains unchanged in over 40 years. It shouts quality the way a Tudor simply doesn’t. Suggest you do a follow-up video with the best higher-end luxury choices (Breguet’s ladies line generates over 30% of the brand revenue, qui dit mieux??). Thanks for the content, Cheers.

Why does this dude review watches as if he narrates the next blockbuster action movie trailer
Well done Armand, hope other reviewers take note. A bonus that some of the watches are unisex ideal for smaller wrists.
Great video an overlooked topic and overlooked in the market too. Case in point, automatic Aqua Terras used to be available in 28mm now I think they’re all quartz? I know a lot of women like larger watches, but both my wife and daughter view 30/31mm as the maximum unless you’re talking dive watches. Manufacturers could do better…
Highly effective online video! Sitting here at Y&S FOOD! we all love to uncover such a contents. We make Travel & Food video as well, around the world, so we are constantly looking for inspirations and perhaps creative concepts. Thank You.
Are these for women or are these just really feminine and fragile looking? Fashion has changed, huh?
Some very nice looking watches there thanks Armand!
I recently got the Tissot Powermatic 80 (mother of pearl dial) for my missus and she loves
I’m trying to imagine my wife’s reaction if I were to present her with a $4,000 golden mechanical watch that would need manual winding and time setting if she were to stop wearing it for a day or two. I’m picturing a blank stare as I try to convince her that the “horological significance” of the brand and the watch’s assortment of miniature gears and springs represent immense value at this price point. Perhaps I would see a raised eyebrow as I describe the day-to-day practicality of 150m water resistance, and further, that she is encouraged to leap carefree into the ocean wearing thousands of dollars in jewelry strapped to her wrist.
A tough sell in my household I’m afraid, but a great video on an underrepresented topic thanks for all your hard work!
Great video as always but saying that Cartier Tank is not horological y significant is blasphemy.
with big dials in, ladies are wearing gents watches. I think even the Kardashians wear gold Daytonas.
i honestly don’t know why i watched this i’m not even interested in any watch but it was nice
Finally we have a youtuber covering ladies watches. I really appreciate this so thank you, I also watch all your other videos so keep up the good work! P.s. I personally like the Tudor BB 32 with the blue dial. Does anyone know which ladies watches have the best mechanical movements?
I have seen the 34 Omega on my wife’s wrist, and it was stunning! The blue version with gold color hands are just one of the most beautiful watches I have seen for women. Why do watch creators feel the need to overload the design with gems? ( for most women’s watch designs) As if a watch without gems are not feminin enough? Old fashioned in my opinion. No, Omega has really got it right here and it has got a fairly reasonable power reserve, because most watches have poor power reserve, and that is something that bothers my wife as it would bother me to.
Thank you for a review of luxury watches for women. I’ve been struggling trying to find a nice quality watch for my wife.
Great choices. I would say though that an awful lot of ladies are wearing men’s watches these days… which I don’t have a problem with.
As with the comment below I too would be very wary about buying an auto or a manual wind. Last year I bought my wife the beautiful Omega Ladymatic for her significant birthday. She loves it and wears it as more of a dress piece. If you remember Nichole Kiddman wearing one in an Omega advert some Christmases ago.
However every time she wears it it’s up to me to set the time and wind it as she is almost scared of breaking it. Therefore in hindsight I wish I had bought her a quartz watch (and saved a considerable sum of money!). Unless your wife/girlfriend is into horology, l I fear not many women have the time or the patience to set and wind a watch as other distractions ie make up, clothes and shoes take preference.
I do realise this a generalisation and I apologise to the fairer sex for that. Some very interesting and good choices Armand but in truth, a quartz Cartier tank would make a whole lot of sense!
Fun watch of a video as always! (No pun intended haha)
I must ask, what is the music you use in the intros? It’s gorgeous!
Got my wife the Junghans max bill with the quartz movement. I find that she, as other women, prefer a watch that is running regularly and so manuals are a big no no (unless it’s a super luxurious watch). I would also go with a automatic instead of manual with the Nomos, either the club or the minimatic.
I’ve never met a Woman that did not appreciate a $150 to $200 Movado. Save your money for yourself, Gentlemen.
Wonderful to see a thought out focus on woman’s watches. Mondaine Little Giant (under $500), and Rado Ceramica ($1000+) are a couple of my favorites.
And nearly all women want quartz. I gave my woman a cheap Seiko tank, and a higher priced automatic dress watch. Guess which one has only been worn once?
I really enjoyed the video, the Ball with tritium inserts really caught my attention as my daughter is starting nursing school in the fall, being a nurse myself I know how important a seconds hand is on a watch and how important it is to not need both of your hands to take a pulse in a dark room and I think this is where tritium could really come in handy. Just wondering if there is anything else in a women’s watch that is more affordable for a daily tool watch with tritium at that you can think of for a young woman?
Thanks
Don
I use the Garmin Forerunner 735XT as running watch and it’s truly awesome:

Oh dear. This has so much to do with your perception of what someone else might like and your own interpretation of “luxury”, which as we all know is an elusive notion. It fascinates me that so many very expensive watches fail the fundamental principle of good design which in my view is to be able to quickly look at your watch and establish the time. Does luxury mean being bedazzled by precious metals, jewels, gems all jumbled together in poor contrast with a whopping great price tag. Personally I am fascinated with watches of all sorts, that is why I am here. To convince my wife to spend $4000 on a watch would be akin to asking a lion to sate its appetite by licking a chocolate covered ice cream. But a $100 well designed easily read quartz would push the buttons.
Seriously considering the pointer date in Bronze for the other half this xmas.
Simply couldn’t have made this without the Tank. 😉 Nice picks, tho’ the smaller tangente and datejust both very nice choices.
Thank you very much for a great detailed review on the ladies watches. Great channel. Please could you do a review on the Datejust including its history. Thanks again.
I love this video. I’m looking for a very reliable sports watch and this will give me idea. Thank you very much.
I’ve recently spotted the NOMOS watch in a store and fell absolutely in love with it. They said it was a young brand from Germany with good quality. Nice to see it in your video.
Just bought my wife the Omega Ladymatic, a tad pricey but blows this selection out of the water for me. Maybe the Cartier is a close second although I prefer the ballon blu.
Well done for covering a topic that no other channels seem to touch. Good idea, and good choice of watches as ever. Would have been nice to see a rolex though.
Excellent choices. I own the male size Big Crown pointer Date and feel it to be a very under appreciated watch. The Oris quality of finishing is very high. Ball is a brand I want to add to my collection again very underrated. Their emphasis on toughness and accuracy puts me in mind of Sinn a little though the look is different. Their heritage from US railways is genuine. I liked all your other choices too.
my gf likes the oris aquis diamant date very much. We´re currently saving up for it.
Been waiting 4 months for 20:00 order for my biatch…. Looking forward to it. Great vid.
I bought my wife the Oris for her birthday last month, on the leather. She has very delicate wrists and she loves it. She especially loves the retro look of the pointer date.
