Titan t2 rack under $300. The basic metal jhook with extra angle iron on bottom is strong. Had mine for 5+ years zero issue. Squated 625 & shruged 700+ on hooks. Do all my lifting on front & store weights on back.
Coop. I have subscribed to your channel since the onset of COVID. Thank you for your reviews, they have helped inform several of my choices. I am tragically without a garage or sufficient room indoors to set up a rack/rig, so I have had to make do with a tarp thrown over some equipment outdoors (2 sets of dumbbells, KB, Pylo box, PVC Pipe) As fall approaches, I am thinking hard about going back to the gym vs buying more home gear. Soooo-my big question is how well gear would hold up to being left outside with only minimal protection? I’ll bet I’m not the only one facing this decision. If you could incorporate this factor into some of your reviews, I would deeply appreciate it.
Yes please have a higher quality lat pull down to be as good as the rack deff looks cheap.. and make a weight stack for it and I’ll get one
Just remember the bigger they are the lower they sag when their older.
Anything made um China is definitely cut off from my list. Go ROGUE
Can you use attachments from other companies like the Rogue GHD Echo? Im curious if its compatible bc of the 3*3 posts
Is it just me or did that rack move a LOT when he did a pullup?
Hi Brandon, do you have any experience with the German fitness brand ATX? Design-wise they seem to copy Rogue’s racks and they have a new series called 800, which looks as robust as the RM racks on paper (80mm x 80mm steel with 3mm gauge). I live in Germany and over here the price for an ARX 820+storage extension amounts to 1200 EUR, whereas the equivalent Rogue RM6 costs 3000 EUR. I cannot find any reviews on the internet and was wondering if you know anything about their quality compared to Rogue?
The Coop life must be dope…nasty cages/fitness stuff to review. Getting things sent to you for free or heavily discounted and having a nasty gym with what most of us spend our lives working towards. Much love and you definitely own the garage gym/fitness review segment. Many years of hard work and dedication paying off. Love watching all your videos bro. Much respect.
Glad to know the accessories for Rep will work on Rogue Monster.
anyway you can check to see which rogue attachments will work on the t3?
I got the PR4000 about a month before this came out but I’m still happier with my purchase. The 5/8th inch attachments are cheaper and I love the lat pulldown system which I why I chose this over rogue. Also there’s more actual steel to the rack with 5/8th inch holes. My main complaints with rep fitness are minor including my dip attachment is wobbly and my power bar grinds off the plastic on the j-cups. Other than that I’m happy! Got my stainless rep EX bar and rackable curl bars coming soon!
I got a rep set of bumper plates, a bar, and an adjustable FID bench and theyre great quality. I feel i got a steal. I have Rogue and titan stuff like everyone else but i Will keep an eye on their offerings. They make a good product.
I would consider the Legend Fitness Modular Half-Rack, to be a once in a lifetime purchase. One of the toughest/durable products, that I have seen on the market period.
#ThanksandGigem
The perfect rack for gym bros to do barbell curls and quarter squat in. All for the low low price of half a city block in Detroit.
If not bolted to ground or platform, which is more stable in ur opinion… RM6 or this one?
i like it, it’s great. but the red, i cannot accept that color.
Hey Coop! Love the reviews bro! Do you have a rep power racks you would sell me? Please!! I will pay over price.
why would you sell all of your barbells? they take up almost zero space.
PR 5000 v2 or PR 4000? Does the 1″ hardware justify the $300 price difference? What’s the advantage other than strength of the rack? I keep bouncing back and forth between the two.
You made the titan look like crap cause you kept shaking it (making it look unstable) when you didn’t even tighten the bolts. All attachments are interchangeable between the two racks also.
holy crap…. you know that is expensive when they wont even give the price on the web site, only quotes….. cool features but way over built for the home gym crowd
Do you have to buy all these different racks or do they give them to you to review
Did you forget to tighten down those 2 bolts at 3:49 on the low pulley??
Would it be possible to use the lat pulldown on a Rogue RM-3? I know Rep is narrower so the mounting crossmember won’t bolt up. I was thinking about buying an extra Rogue crossmember to use with it, just not sure if it would work due to there not being an offset.
When you say it is 3×3, is it a full 3″? I have a used squat rack and I am looking for some more J-cups. The uprights are 2.75″x2.75″ with 1″ holes. I wonder if these will fit. Maybe I could add liners to insides to make them fit.
Did you explain about the compatibility of the pull up bars?
Imagine if there was one quarantined guy desperate to train thinking “I’ll buy whatever power rack I can find, NO MATTER THE COST” and all he could find is this one.
This rack literally comes with a curl bar holder. What a time to be alive.
Coop needed your help. Does Titan lever arms for Titan series fit the pr-5000. I’m new to this been watching a lot of your video for great info. Thank you sir.
Hey coop I plan on fabricating a power rack soon based on either the rogue monster or monster lite. The only problem I am running into is deciding which one I should emulate. Which out of the monster lite and monster series would you go with? I am mainly just wandering which design would provide the most versatility.
That trolley system would be interesting if they created a pulley system with a braced arm and a pulley you could just slide in.
Look at Rogers Athletics Pendulum line. They are all 7 gauge with 3×5 uprights. Their Pendulum line of machines are the best in the business.
Don’t buy a squat stand like mejust shell out the $$$ or finance /make monthly payments for a rogue monster rackthe squat stands are not ideal for guys that can squat 355+ or bench in the 300s you’ll fail a set like I did drop the bar on the spotter arms and the rack will fall bak on you!
This video was uploaded around the time coronavirus was getting started. Screw China buy American.
Coop, u think this can be used unbolted to ground/platform or will it be too wobbly? Thanks.
Has anyone tried to put a repfitness lat attachment on a rouge monster rack?
What I find funny is that when you did a closeup on the Titan, you can clearly see the bolts are loosened. So….. you shake it to make it seem substandard
Seems like a over engineered, over complicated hunk of shit. It’s the Ford of squat racks
Super helpful vid, you sold me on the titan. Though I’ll be going with the HD pro.. 36″, quick question, I’ve secured funding for a “Specialty” squat bar. I’m looking at either the rogue cambered squat bar, the elitefts safety squat bar, and the duffalo bar. I did enjoy you’re vid of the duffalo bar. I intent on acquiring all three bars over time. But again which would you recommend first? Which in your mind is the most versatile? Thanks coop
Give me a $100 rack that can hold my bar and that will be the best rack for me. Equipment doen’t make a champion, doing the work does!
I’m glad I saw this review. Thanks for the honest review coop!
They may have good stuff, but their customer service is lousy. Take a while to answer any emails, and no phone support. Recently they have accepted too many orders than they can deliver. I would save my money and go with Rogue or even Titan.
Coop how tall are you? I am 6’0 and i see you can do OHP inside the rack, hope I can as well.
It’s coming in a couple days so basically has to be rogue. I would have went with the same thing.
500K for that place seems like a steal in some parts of Long Island
I’ve been seeing some Amazon Reviews with photos complaining about arriving already rusted on the inside. Made he hesitate to purchase. Anyone here buy a Rep Rack and have a rust problem?
You should review the racks they sell at Dick’s Sporting Goods, like the Fitness Gear and Ethos stuff. Is the shipping and price really worth it for Rogue, Rep, or Titan when you can just go find something at your local Dick’s?
I do have a correction to the video. The uprights are 5″x3″ not 4″x3″. Ha.
Mine didn’t shake like that AT ALL before I anchored it. Titan has added a ton of accessories the last couple months too.
This and primefitnessUSA prime steel power rack weighing at 1858 lbs is the most over build rack out there!
Your video really helped me decide on my new power rack. I decided to get the Rogue RML-390C. I wanted a bolt together since I needed to assemble It in pieces in my basement. I got the monster light because being a bolt together the extra beefy frame should help make up for the lack of a welded unit and also the cost difference wasn’t that much in my opinion. My basement has 9 ft ceilings so the height isn’t a problem. The cost is substantially more than the Titan but I wanted the higher quality and it was in my budget range so why not get something that I can pass down to my son someday. I upgraded and got the strap safety and also purchased the safety spotter arms that I mount on the outside front of the rack for bench presses, rows, etc. The safety straps are set up inside the cage for squats, etc. I really like this set up. Thanks again for the great videos. I just subscribed too.
I thought i was going to learn something about racks. Instead you just talk about pointless shit almost the entire video
My guess is the REP half rack, based on the heights you mentioned. However, I think you should go with a 9′ ceiling in the new house.
Hey Brandon! We spoke on Instagram. I highly recommend watching my video ” the truth about rogue fitness” on my channel
One of “if you have to ask, you can’t afford it” things… sick rack though. Even if I had the spare cash and the room I probably wouldn’t be interested in it for my home gym. If I operated an independent gym maybe, be it’s just so bug and so overdone that I think it would be pretty hard to justify buying this over another cheaper rack, or several for that matter. Just makes no practical sense to me as I could do every exercise I ever needed to with all the durability I could ask for buying something less than 1/4 the cost that takes up less than 1/2 the space.
Very cool of your wife to be supportive of you looking at a bunch of different racks.
Sorinex, height and resale is there. Rogue is too tall. Rep Fitness won’t have the resale value.
Rogue Monster is probably too tall for your new place, and so that would narrow down to Rep HR5000 and the Sorinex XL 1/2, between those that’s a tough call, but the Rep just looks a bit more well built and comes with a few more extras, so…. my guess is COOP LOYALITY the Rep HR5000.
I was in Iraq once, not as nice as your garage and twice as deadly.
Love the design but my Titan fitness rack is enough for my apartment
For my garage gym I went with a TDS Power Rack. Supposedly it can support over 1000 lbs. It was cheap, only $279 and Amazon delivered for free.
ha! not sending all your money to China, just most of it! lol. I will say that of the chinese manufactured companies that Rep seems to be the best
Can you do a review on Rogue’s new fully stainless steel (shaft+sleeve) power bar?
Hey can you take a look at the ethos power rack 1.0 from dicks sporting goods
Man they build them small over there.
New builds are usually 9ft ceilings up here.
I picked up a PR-4000 for Black Friday and the width of the rack was a big selling point. When I’m doing 1RM attempts it is nice to have a little more room on the safeties. Hitting the safeties can ruin an attempt and if you are going all out you may not have anything in the tank for another attempt. Plus, you don’t have a lot of slop when racking a Kabuki Transformer bar on a rack that is 49″.
11:48 Without a doubt, another great video….a little constructive criticism is that when you’re comparing prices, it would be nice to add at least a couple of shipping charge prices as an example.
I say these example of shipping charges would be nice, because, often-times, Rogue charges SO much for shipping.
Could it be that the rack delivery is free for the Rogue Rack? I know if you buy certain weight plates as a set, sometimes they’ll waive shipping.
Hey coop have you ever checked out the body solid Chicago bar? I’d love to see it compared to a rogue bar
I’m hoping that nobody tries to loot coop’s garage for his high end expensive equipments
Rep is really dropping the mic with some impressive equipment. Exciting stuff. If they can keep up the good work as well as keep customer service at top notch then they will outdo Rogue in the future.
nicely but unnecessarily built. The trolley system is smart.
Yea, Rogue needs to transition to that slider attachment for their racks so we can remove the jammer arms, then its game over.
Is being welded necessarily better than being bolted together? I know in high-end bicycles bolts are actually considered the more quality option.
Hey Coop, I enjoy your videos, but I wish you would do more reviews on budget racks/bars/etc. Look at the reviews on websites that sell gym equipment. Their budget options typically have around ten times as many purchases and reviews as the top of the line products. Give us a rep fitness basic bar, a Titan T2, or a fringe sport ‘garage’ series squat rack review.
He is buying a Rogue. Hint #1 It should be here in couple of days. Only Rogue ships that crazy fast. Hint#2 He wants a good return on his investment in 18 Months. Only Rogue has the best resale value in Gym equipment, because of their support and compatibility of attachments. Even Sorinex doesn’t hold that much value.
Man I get anxious when working under my vehicles with Chinese jack stands why the hell would I trust something that could literally break my back hhh
It would be a good solution for safety spotter straps especially since it takes forever to adjust them
Can lift 1,000 lbs… hurts thumbs on backwards power slide system.
You can buy this rack, or you can buy 1 of everything from Titan Fitness. I’ll go Titan all day everyday.
Way too chunky clunky. The sliding mechanism is cool, but way too thick. It will just get in the way. I can’t bring myself to understanding how I would use the jammer arms on any rack… So no interest there. Regardless of price this rack isn’t for me
You said the titan attachments wouldn’t fit on a rogue rack? Wanted to buy the T-3 spotter arms for my Rogue 2×3 because they are way cheaper. Would the titan spotter arms fit on the rig?
I like how it’s super rickety, then on a close up you can see the bolts aren’t even tightened all the way. Of course it’s going to shake if you don’t tighten the bolts.
Hey, man. You have a propane tank in there. Hope it’s empty. Those are dangerous if they leak and catch a spark, you’re in real trouble. Happened to a buddy of mine years back, and he spent weeks in the hospital
You should check out Fitness Armory they’re equally good as ElliteFts
Great review. And I’m still torn. I decked out a Rep and an RM6 and there are things i like about each. I’m getting about a $500 difference in the clear/raw Rep vs the Rogue. I wish the difference was a little more and i think I’d def be going Rep.
I don’t like that you can’t even see any prices on their website. You have to request a quote just to see how much their basic racks cost.
These racks are built for weights that no human is strong enough to lift. Unless there’s a 2000lb squatter out there in the comments .
Hello great video. You said they are importing it in. Do you mean that Rep Fitness is not made in America but made in China?
This is no Longer a Garage GYM Equipment. Stay true to your Channel and its audience.
Is there a compatibility issue with rogue attachments because rogue uses the keyholes? Theoretically could I make my own 3×3 rack with 1 inch holes and spacing and have rogue or rep attachments fit? Also to confirm. Is the spacing between the holes also 1 inch? Are the holes 1 inch or are the bolts 1 inch? I would imagine a 1 inch bolt would need a hole slightly larger than 1 inch.
I’m seeing now that the holes on each side if the uprights don’t line up with one another. I think they’ve all tried to make sure we can’t build our own racks. I’m tempted to completely DIY the entire thing. Attachments and all.
Coop, is there any way to make a rack shake less on the “Shake test?”
Nice video Coop, did a Review on the R-3 vs T-3 as well. I went with the T-3 for Price and because of the various Customization in height and Depth. Ive since expanded to the T-6 and love that even better. Best hing was Rogue accessories fit perfectly to the T-3/T-6 2×3 frame.
100% Massachusetts prices are insane 2 small bed 1 bath 950 square feet be like $289,000 no off street parking and the roof is caving in toilet is pink
I bet you did not get the Rogue. As much as your gym is for you and your pleasant history with Rogue, I don’t see you passing up the opportunity to try a new brand both for yourself and to review for us.
Hey Coop!! I bet you, you haven’t review these items: Fake weights!!!!
Coop, do you recommend this rack (PR 5000) over the Titan Series rack?
I just have to say, Numba one ☝️ Home build tour please. On the rack guess, It seems plate storage is important to you. Why on the rack I don’t get but, blah blah. You better not have bought the REP b/c its the same price as the Rogue and the ChIna thing. I don’t see you going China on the center piece, so my guess is You bought the Sorinex. 1. You don’t care what hits your credit card (TYYT) 2. It’s what you’ve always wanted. 3. Trying a test run b4 you go all in at the new house make sense and sucks. Rogue is great. But a chance to try something different, as good, or better is worth trying. Go big! I know you did the right thing USA . If you bought the REP rack I may vomit in a shaker and mail it to you for a review.
Any thoughts on Vulcan racks? Opinions please. I’m planning to buy one
You must be a great salesman to sell a 5 year old rack for only $100 off what you bought it for!
More than half this video is the set up. I think the is too specific to Brandon’s situation.
Cooop! How could you now divulge the price after all that?!
Completely off topic, but Moped = Motorcycle with Pedals; Scooter = What you showed generally a step-through motorcycle with an automatic transmission.
Originally mopeds were literally bicycles with motors attached and some still are like that.
Awesome, if I was loaded, I will definitely get one of those. Since I bought a Jammer Arms for my rack, doing shoulder presses is my favorite lift. I like to set my jammer arm hinges at shoulder high. Everyone should get Jammers for their rack.
I have a Rogue monster RM4 and it’s bolt together and has very little shake, that Titan rack looked like it was about to fall over.
Well I know you didn’t go Sorinex because mine is still in queue and they take 6-8 weeks. It has to be either REP or Rogue. I’m guessing Rogue!
I think REP is on the rise. People building home gyms want to save money where they can. As it is a HOME GYM. So if they can get similar quality to a ROGUE or TITAN for less $…. Why not go REP? If only for the fact that REP might be outsourcing the production. It’s not like most users will put the REP rack to the breaking point. Most buying wouldn’t be elite level lifters. Even if THOR himself was using…the strength required to crack the rack holes or attachments…
Actually, I’d love to see REP or any company invite THOR to see if he could damage the rack. Training as he normally would. With the weights he’d be using. I’d bet the REP gear would fair just as well as ROGUE branded gear.
Also, what ROGUE has that most brands DON’t (in Canada e.g.) is the setup ROGUE does. CDN website so CDN’s don’t need to worry about crazy shipping fees, customs/duty fees…ROUGE also offers FREE shipping within Canada (ordering from ROGUE Canada). Matters when you order 500 pounds of product.
Something else..made in the USA vs China. Still a thing. YET some of us fail to understand that if we’re ordering items like bumper plates..most of it is made in China anyway.:) Maybe from the same 2 or 3 companies. Who just put different embossed logos/designs on the plates. And don’t you think…it’s just a matter of time before all companies who are still manufacturing in the US only will outsource to China too? Economics. If a company can make more money? I’m sure companies like ROGUE, Soreniex want to…BADLY…but aren’t yet to make customers happy…those that care…
US companies CAN make sure their products made in China are of a higher quality and up to par. Nikon has some of their products made there, Apple Computers. You name it. It’s inevitable. IN no time there will no longer be gym gear made in the USA. Makes no sense from a business standpoint. Manufacturing.
I don’t think ROGUE is going to continue for another 10 years or more and not make the move to manuf items in China. Knowing they could have made millions of $ MORE…That all this time They could have been making more $. That IS what matters most for any company.
It would be like comparing a brand of running shoe. to another. They both do the same job almost as well as each other. The differences would be negligible. And I think would come down to the logo on the side of the shoe. Possibly one brand’s shoe might fit better. But in use…
Do all the attachments shown, the jammer arms and dips, etc. come with it or are the sold separately?
Wow. What more can you say? That thing belongs in an NFL training facility.
I have a Titan 2 and I’ve used a lot of others and there is no reason other than image to buy a Rogue IMO for a garage gym. You can literally buy replacement parts, which you’ll likely never need for the “cost” of Rogue’s warranty.
I’ve had mine 4 years (outdoors for two of them), moved it to another house once and never done a single thing to maintain it. I do wish that I had the T3 for all the little attachments, but I can just make my own holes for the cost of a metal drill bit.
Absolutely correct about the powder coating though, which might be important in a commercial setting where visual wear and tear (that doesn’t actually affect performance one bit) matters. There’s a little surface rust on the J-hooks and some scraped paint elsewhere on mine, but not exactly beat up looking in spite of 3-4 days use a every week (maybe 8 missed weeks in those 4 years) for 4 years.I’ve had 400lbs on it with no worries.
This is awesome. I’m just awaiting on my steel to be delivered to make mine. Mine will be 8 gauge box 60mm x 60mm x 4mm. Cant wait to make it!! This has actually given me alot more ideas…hmmmm
Pretty solid vid. I too hope they take this design and can port it over, or even make it as something thag can work on other manufacturers racks / rogue etc.
One thing tho, for the vid edit. If coops saying ‘this /that’ etc. I want to see what he’s talking about. The broll is solid, but def pretty long in spots.
Those jammer arms being able to push inward like that is insane.. Other companies really need to make that a feature with their arms.
Worked hard to get this one out in time for Black Friday. Hope this helps some of you decide to order…or not. Happy Thanksgiving friends!
Sorenex 1/2 rack for the customization I think its the best choice
People who move serious weight have racks that aren’t even nice as an R3. This is collecting.
Coop; is this the same lat attachment that Titan has? I’ve heard if some common fraying issues with the cables?
My only issue with some of these other more expensive racks is the lack of accessories for the racks. With wanting to have a home gym I want some sort of lat pull down cable setup without having 2 racks.
I’d say your mustache is made of 7 gauge steel, just based on the sheer thiccness of it
The trolley system with attachment quick swap is awesome. The “put away, straight or convergent” jammer arms feature is from Legend Fitness (the Destroyer arms).
LOL when it’s so expensive, they don’t even want to advertise it on their site… Because “If you have to ask, you probably can’t afford it” lol
if the straps are eared the same couldn’t you rotate one side front to back?
This rack would be too much and over done for me. A 2×3 11 gauge holds my petty amount of weight with the greatest of ease LOL. Coop, I would love for you to test out the Synergee Rhino Power bar. I know it’s most likely on back order now but your input on this beast would be appreciated. This bar used to carry a one year warranty which made me stray away from it but now they changed it to lifetime warranty which makes me say hmmmm!
Is this a rack review or a J cup review? Like 10 minutes of the 16 minutes is about just the J cups. lmao
I think this may be one of the cases where more isn’t necessarily better.
has anyone seen the janky racks mark rippetoe uses at his gym titan might not be as pretty as rogue but its at least twice as good as marks stuff which obviously works fine.
7 ga is close to 3/16 thick, it’s were structural steel essentially begins. It used to trailer hitches to build some heavier duty tube trailers and so forth. With the weight of that thing you almost don’t even have to anchor it down lol. Awesome rack but more than I want to pay and way more than I will ever lift lol. Great review Coop as always.
LOL, what does L.L. Bean of the fitness industry mean? Nice review, thanks.
Brandon Campbell Diamond how you feel about archon rack https://fitarchon.com/product/archon-power-cage-w-lat-pull-and-cable-crossover-attachment/????
You are on every channel, mist humble guy replys on every comment
This guy is so Picky/OCD. He has a “hard on” for Rogue and other “extremely expensive brands”. I would love to have this Rep Fitness Rack in my home. IMO, Rep Fitness manufactures high quality products at an affordable price. Which, meets my training and financial needs. I recently purchased used Rogue bumper plates and cast iron old school Olympic plates from FB marketplace. Coop, unlike you, I want to invest/spend within my needs and not blow all my cash on Rogue products. Rep Fitness, your products are the best and I look forward to purchase my first Rep Fitness Rack.
anything worth doing is worth doing right and easiest way to do it right is by doing it right the first time… I think they nailed it and I hope they continue to innovate. I think this is more of a commercial gym or specialty gym rack though, personally
Nice review. Several years ago I just built my own rack out of 4x4s, 2x4s, and 2x6s. It’s held up like a champ. Just watching the first few minutes of this video, when you just slap the Rogue rack I can’t believe how much it wobbles. Then you said you had it bolted to the floor and my jaw dropped even further. I was thinking about upgrading from my DIY beast, but man….. if that’s what top of the line racks do when you just touch them, mine crushes them. When you just touched the rack it wobbled about as much as mine does when I rack 400 lbs aggressively………. maybe I should get into the fitness equipment game, haha. Build a line of durable wooden equipment. It amazes me how scared people are with DIYed wooden racks. Whenever i have someone over to work out with they look at my rack and think it’s going to break on them…. as if they are powerful enough to lift a weight that is going to shatter 4×4 posts. It can’t be because they don’t trust the hardware I put it together with, because I use large, thick lag bolts to assemble the structure and then large, long lag bolts to attach the pull up bar (a threaded 1.5 inch pipe between two flanges) between the uprights. In other words, I’m using just as beefy hardware as any commercial gym equipment. So again, people must think wood is extremely weak because they are wary when they lift from my rack…… even when I tell them I’ve dropped 500 lbs on the safety bars (2 1″ iron pipes) from a standing position. I mean why do people think wood is so weak? We as a society have built fucking giant buildings and houses out of the stuff, and yet they think their 400 lb squat is going to crush FOUR 4×4 posts. It’s insane the ignorance some people have. And I know “ignorance” has negative connotations, but it is true. People are petrified of wooden equipment thinking it is weak as hell. Baffles me. I wonder if they freak out when someone starts jumping up and down on the floor in their homes. Or better yet, they think a wooden rack isn’t safe, yet they lift in a room on a second story, or even on a level above their basement……. on top of 2×8 floor joists.
Long story short….. I think this video made me NOT look into “upgrading” to an “actual” power rack, and just stick with my homemade BEAST. It looks at LEAST as sturdy as these racks. I’ll use the $1,000 on something better and more useful…. like more weights. Seriously though. If you’re in the market for a new rack or just getting into working out, I HIGHLY suggest building your own. It cost me like $300 TOPS to build mine, and yes, it is just as sturdy as these racks if not more so by the looks of things.
Here’s apparently another guy on youtube who shares my “build it yourself” mentality. He’s done it to the EXTREME though and I am VERY jealous of this gym he has in his garage. It’s pretty badass IMO. I mean a wooden cable crossover machine…. insanely cool. Look at the guy too. Willing to bet he can out lift just about anyone who naysays wooden equipment.

Who fucking cares! So much bullshit at the beginning of this video I stopped watching. Who wants to see a downgrade.
Any reason they couldn’t eliminate the bulk on the outside of those j-cups? More of a c-channel design than having it fully encapsulate the upright. It seems that it would still be able to hold plenty of weight and it would clear up more space for the plates when re-racking your bar.
I do not want to bolt anything to the floor or to the wall. Given that I don’t want to bolt anything, is it better to just get a Rouge squat stand rather than a full power rack? I currently squat 365 and I do not intend on squatting more than 405 pounds. I want to bench and overhead press as well. I don’t think I will bench over 275.
How are two sets of j-cups meant to replace westside spacing when normally westside spacing is used where you put your safety and not your j-cups?
How many inches from the very very top of the rack to the side connectors? The parts of the rack that sticks up can fit in just fine between the structures of the roof in our basement, the problem for us is the side bars. Thanks!
I should have bought the Rogue R-3 or R-4. Instead I purchased the RML-490. I thought going with the RML-490 would have been better for versatility because you don’t have to bolt it to the floor. I didn’t realize you could do the same with the R-4, my mistake. I also did not realize the R-3 is plenty stable enough to be bolted into a platform, something I use anyway. The reason why I would now go with the R-series is because the 2×3 upright width makes it a little easier to rack the weight vs. the 3X3 monster lite uprights. I WISH the issue was more talked about in reviews. I guess one solution to the 3×3 problem would be for Rogue to make better j-cups on the 3×3 racks to allow for better clearance. They do make the upgradable “sandwich j cups”, but people do not have good things to say about them. Please fix this issue Rogue.
Check this guy’s rack out, takes it to a pub https://youtu.be/0mGBN8Q04nQ
So crazy that this was all one take, honestly on of the best public speakers I’ve ever seen
Hey Coop, have you tried the PR-4000 safety straps? I have a RML-490 power rack, and since almost all Rogue accessories are out of stock and these are supposed to be compatible, I’m thinking about getting them. Thoughts? Thanks!
Why did you sell your plates and bars? Did you not like them? I was thinking about getting some plates and bars and I was thinking about getting some of the bars and plates you have had like the Kabuki 20 kg power bar or squat bar and rouge bumper plates and / or competition power lifting calibrated plates. Just curious.
Good vid like others have mentioned, please show rep attachments (j-cups) on a rogue rack and vice versa…I’ve also heard the attachments are slightly off, can you confirm one way or another when using different brands rack/attachment? Thanks
My guess is the Rogue. Sorinex is out since its already on its way. And since he is going to sell it the Rogue’s resale value is better then the Rep.
What gauge is the steel on the Titan? Haven’t watched whole video yet, so forgive me if you mention it. Titan site doesn’t seem to list it, or I’m missing it.
Rep must have had a good sale going when you priced this rack. If you price the PR 5000 against a RM6 with the same options today, the RM6 is only around $200 more. Might be a decent rack for the money on sale, but no way I’d pay those kind of prices for it compared to Rogue. These guys won’t be around long with pricing like this coupled with too many items out of stock.
Do the lat pull down have a lot of plastic parts? Is it worth buying?
Seems to be if there ever was an earthquake, the safest place is underneath this rack.
Can you cut the top of the towers to fit in a 97” tall space? Great channel merci
If you get a decent amount of rain there you might want to consider not keeping wood or items that easily rust under the garage door. Depending on which way the garage door is facing will matter how much rain water will fall from the doors when you open it. The water will go all over the deadlift platform underneath the door and mess up the wood. I would either take out the wood and use a horse stall mat or move it all together. I can’t keep anything under my garage doors because how much water that falls from the doors. Good luck though on the new gym
My guess is you went with Sorinex, due to your comments about always wanting some of their equipment. If you remove the cost out of the equation their stuff is probably the best you can buy (with Rogue a close second). They are always at the font of innovating new stuff, so possibly more versatile with attachments. etc.
But maybe the Rep Fitness rack is a low enough price point that its resale value would be a higher percentage of its original cost. Hmmmm….
So they weld the crossmembers, but leave like 20 bolts per power slide?
You are going Rep and I like it… I wish this comment was more clever…
Hey Coop. Great review! Pretty tough to decide between Rogue or Rep for me at this point. I just dunno if Rogue is going to do anything with their Keyhole design on their monster line anytime soon, so its either the RML4 or PR5000V2 are the options for me. Could you tell me if deadlifts would be possible inside the Rep PR5000V2 rack and Rogue RML4 rack with 450 diameter plates?
With the specification of your rack did you have to bolt it down to the ground? Im planing to do 6 upright with the same depth as what you have here and I just wanna get an idea if bolting it down would be necessary
Coop, thanks for the fair review. I’m on a very small budget and I’m doing my best at making my garage gym. I will look into Rep fitness rack. I am glad you address the issue of mix and match with attachments.
The REP looks the best for me, but I’ll guess Rogue purely because of knowing the quality in advance
We’ve already chatted about this… I’m looking forward to the follow up!
Hi Coop! Great review and interesting rack. I was told that Rep Fitness uses a 2.95 x 2.95 instead of 3 x 3 for their uprights. Have you tried using the Rep straps/J-cups on a Rogue rack with 3 x 3 uprights? Does that 1/20” make a difference?
the playlist of videos on all the brands makes shopping so much better. Thanks coop for all these!!
Rep for sure, but you’re going to go Sorinex once it’s time to upgrade 😉
Not trying to disagree with you in 7:09 you where talking about it was (robot welded ) but that’s not, someone welded it and grinded the roughness down.
Question, can Rogue LT-1 50 Cal Trolley & Lever Arm Kit fit the rep pr 5000?
Would this rack be compatible with the Rogur drop in Rhino Belt Squat??
Are you taking your talents to Sorinex? Any thoughts about something from Elite FTS?
You know titian would have sent you one for free but than again it would have been damaged and the wrong pieces.
I purchased a Rouge RML-390f and couldn’t be happier. Its very sturdy and does not need to be bolted.
Hi brandom, besides gym related stuff. what do you do for living???,,, nice vids btw!:)
I think you went with Rep. All accessories included. Don’t have to fiddle with that. Your not gonna have it long so why buy from the other places.
Those slides are a bad design. The flanges that are used to bolt them together should be coming out the front and back not the side, then the width would be much narrower, sure the j cups would need to be slightly further forward to clear the bolts but that doesn’t matter
lol Coop receives a $9K rack for free but he’s not biased. Unsub.
That’s easy your getting the rogue cuz u care about resale value and u said it’s coming in a few days where as sorniex has to be blessed by a priest a rabbi and the Dali lama before it gets shipped to u…..
I’d go with Rogue half rack collegiate just because of price/customer service/quality/made in USA/available attachment combo. Personally wouldn’t go with 1 inch as 5/8 has proven to be enough for anything I can throw at it (even though I love the look of 1 inch) and Rogue R3 shorty with spotter arms gives me the best of both worlds. Big enough to squat and rack pull in while being contained but I can also use the spotter arms as a half rack on the outside if need be!
I say you got the Rogue. You’ve mentioned how you like to buy all at once to save on shipping. You could replace the rack, barbells, plates, accessories, etc at Rogue. So, I’m betting you blew your load in one place (that’s what she said)!
I like the look and functionality of the rep fitness one personally but idk much about the brand and/or the resale!
BUYER BEWARE!!! Rogue fitness has the WORST customer service that exists. I purchased a power rack and after the product was scheduled to deliver, UPS decided they needed to repack the rack on a smaller truck because of my location. Rogue tried to force me to pay extra for the shipping 3 weeks after I had already purchased the power rack because UPS must have demanded more from them. They are unreasonable people!!! After I told them I wasn’t going to pay more they wanted me to pay for their shipping costs to and from UPS. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!
I’m thinking you went with the Rep brand, I bought a Rep Bar last Black Friday and I’ve been very happy with it. I’ve been keeping an eye on the Rep rack myself, nothing but positive reviews
Hi Coop, can you kindly let me know your thoughts on which one is better between this rack and Sorinex Base Camp?
Coopgreat content. Will the Rep Lat attachment work on a monster rack?
it comes with bigger hardware so it wont work with rogue. Isnt home depot down the road????
Wish I could get the Rogue rack, but they all seem to be 90+ inches. Just a little too tall.
I think not the sorinex since you said it will be there anytime soon. My vote is the rep rack since it looks solid and is likely cheaper as a middle ground until the big boi gym stuff comes.
You didn’t go with the Rogue because it’s just over 100 inches tall. The Rep is slightly shorter and has more features than the Sorinex, so my guess is Rep. Plus both come in blue!
No options from elitefts? I own rogue but I have elitefts envy from a friend’s rack
I think rogue because it was on your IG story with the “” emoji pointing towards “shipped”
Rogue is overpriced. They show videos of the steel being made in an arc furnace like they have some special steel making process. If the Titan you show was assembled completely instead leaving the bolts loose it wouldn’t shake. The other reviewer said the same thing. It has nothing to do with bolting it to the ground. I have a Valor Fitness and a TDS that aren’t bolted down and they are rock solid. Get what works for you in terms of price. There are racks for $200 to $250 now and they will keep you safe when doing bench and squats by yourself at home. If that gets you a workout instead of coming up with $1500 then more power to you for being smart.
Lmao at Coop putting that 45 lbs plate on at 11:30. That’s how I feel in the gym sometimes.
Is the Lamar Fitness LS513 Deluxe Flat to Incline Bench a good bench for a beginner
Hey Coop, your channel has been our Bible for our new garage gym!
I injured myself so we sold our CAP squat stand and we’re ready to purchase a full rack.
Would you recommend the Titan T2 or the PR1000 from Rep?
Were also considering the T3 but I’m on the fence!
Thanks for what you do man!
Rogue fan boy? Not even close. That is 100% Coop. To the point where it is literally hard for me to watch him anymore. I get it, Rogue makes solid stuff, but they should for the price. I say go with the Rep Fitness. We both know they make a quality bench!
Hey Coop, question about the T-3 depth with the 24″. When the plates are on the storage pins, do they get in the way of squats or bench due to the shallow depth on the 24″ version?
Why is Titan so wobbly? Did you tighten all the screws well? It’s acceptable for the barbell but It’s very annoying to do pullups or toes to bar on a such a shaky rack.
Can you attach the lat pull-down accessory to a 100” Rogue Monster rack?
@ 5:02 bolts are visibly loose. Didn’t want to ruin the lock washers and scratch it after he re-boxes it and send it back to Titan after making video.
I couldn’t even lift the attachments but I still want one:)
Is the rouge slider modeled after the MK 19 butterfly trigger?? That’s the most bad ass thing I’ve ever seen if so.
I love my Titan gear. Affordable garage gym and quality construction. I’m not making pro bodybuilders nervous nor do I need to stare at a Rogue logo to feel like I’m getting a workout. That said, Rogue equipment is the BEST. I’m not sure it’s worth the price. I think Titan Fitness is the way to go. Free shipping and lots of sales.
Can you use the rogue monster monolift on this rep fitness rack?
Hi Coop. Great videos. I’m trying to decide between the r3, t3 and T2. The T3 comes in various outside depths 32” or 44”. The 32” will work better in the space I have. I’m wondering which of those you reviewed in this video.
Would it be possible to use the lat pulldown on a Rogue RM-3? I know Rep is narrower so the mounting crossmember won’t bolt up. I was thinking about buying an extra Rogue crossmember to use with it, just not sure if it would work due to there not being an offset.
Hey Coop! I love your videos. Thanks for helping me with ideas for my home gym over the last couple of years.
My Rogue Monster RM3 gets here next week. Upgrading from a Rep PR-1000. Can’t wait!
I’ve been looking at the Ironmaster half-rack. What say you, O bearded one?
Hey Coop, you’re really good at doing this for all the American brands which is great but what about the Australian brands or UK/European brands? Is it possible for you to perhaps start hiring people and having an international network?
I’m here in Australia, and Verve has a brilliant power rack that matches the rogue power rack specs on their uprights but they have a multigrip chin up bar and you can put j cup roller hooks on the rack. They also have their IPF spec stainless power bar being sold for 400 bucks as well as a host of other things they sell. They’re relatively new and I’d love to get a solid review on them from you. I love American products but it always burns a hole in our pocket for us overseas guys
LOL, fake review! Sure you quickly mentioned the Titan T-3 wasn’t bolted to the ground once, but you failed to state the fact that neither were any of the T-3’s steel connection bolts tightened which is what causes the instability and wobble, basic physics of connection bolts, LOL! What’s the point of even reviewing the Titan T-3 rack if you’re going to handicap it by NOT tightening the connection bolts and not telling your viewers that crucial fact, and then for no apparent reason walk up and shake the rack around every 10 seconds, except maybe to scare your viewers away from the Titan T-3 in favor of your Rogue!?? You’ll probably lose many of your viewer’s confidence in your reviews for this fake review, hope Rogue paid you enough…was it worth it??!…Unsubscribed!
Great reviews! Flip flopping between R3 and Monster lite. Which would you go with? Thanks!
If you could ever get me the hookup to try out one of these racks I currently have a Titan rack and would like to upgrade and would definitely make a review of how they differ and what is better on each rack just let me know.
Can you put the adjustable Rogue monolith onto the T3 to show if it works or not? I’m interested in an adjustable monolith and Titan doesn’t currently offer one.
Coop with all of the racks you have had over the years and in particular the R3 are you bolting these down? Only reason I ask is We will he finishing our short ceiling basement in a year and i can’t bolt down right now so I’m torn between squat rack or buying R3 now using it without bolting and bolting when basement is finished. What are your thoughts?
Meanwhile Donnie Thompson will probably collapse from the sheer ginormousness when seeing this….
These two racks are vertically identical. When it comes to what you’re seeing in this video, Titan is the sure winner. Not nearly enough separation in product to justify the cost gap.
tighten the t3 rack for stability, mine doesnt shake like that…
CAP barbell squat stand…. $70 on Amazon and free shipping. safety bars aren’t necessary unless you’re an idiot. I train alone and have never hurt myself. No reason to buy a cage when all you need is a way to hold the barbell at squat and bench heights… west side spacing is a luxury, most commercial gym benches have two options for bench rack height built in.
Just my opinion, even Dicks sporting goods has some nice half racks that can be used for squatting/ohp and they’re usually on sale for $150
Did you idiots watch this on mute. He literally says it’s not tightened down or bolted to the ground and that’s why it wobbles like that. Jesus. He even gave Titan mad props for being a budget rack. Good video.
Thanks Coop! You have very good to the point & honest videos! Any real advantages over getting a 2×3 over 3×3? Thx
How long is it before someone just starts using steel girders for uprights?
The bolt-together design of the Titan was a pro for me. That will enable me to disassemble the rack when I move in a few years. The reality is that I don’t (and very likely never will) lift enough weight to tell the difference in durability
What do you think of EliteFTS racks? They appear very solid like Rogue, but I’ve never actually tried one out.
For a budget rack, would you get this or the MyRack from Force USA?
Can you do rack pulls on the titan.I m hesitating between the rogue rml390f and the t3 help with my choice!!!?
Anyone know where I can buy this shelving, so I can snap together my own squat rack for probably a lot cheaper?
I dont hate them for doing it, I just have to wonder how many people will feel like they need it.
That rack costs double what I spent on my ENTIRE home gym……and I have far more equipment than that rack offers functionality for.
I do really like how they have the sliders with interchangeable attachments. That is an awesome idea, and a real timesaver. My question is, what type of warranty do they have? Bend just one side of that somehow, and the pair is ruined.
For me it’s also about aesthetic appeal such as symmetry and shape rather than just sheer mass alone. Plus the bigger racks tend to sag a little bit with age.
3 to 6 inches wouldn’t we all be happier
Leave it to Brandon to get the wiener joke in always can count on that from him
Great info though if your starting out in your house with limited space or limiting factors like ceiling height, etc
All racks should have a standardized hole size depending on the size of the uprights. That’s the thing that I hate most about my titan rack is I have to buy their accessories.
I’ve got a Rogue Monster Lite rack and love it. I’m definitely sold on Rogue quality.
I want to open a oympic weight lifting/power lifting/strong man gym. What is the best rack for the money there.
And what equipment would I need.
Have you been comfortable in the 24inch depth racks? About to get a T3 and looking at the standard version, but typically have used a pretty deep rack at my gym.
This is one of the first post I have ever posted!! I ordered the t3 with plenty of accessories like the multiple choice pull up bar.
Ordered extra j hooks, dip bars, and also built a platform for my rack i haven’t even bolted it down and it doesn’t shake anywhere near like this video. It’s solid. Slamming 315 into the j hooks rocks a little forward but once I bolt into platform it will cut that out. I highly recommend the t3 power rack!!I got the smaller length rack also I’m a big guy 6,3ft
270 love it great buy!!
Check out this rack! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mGBN8Q04nQ&t=12s
Nice stuff..but this company has major supply issues..never in stock, its brutal..sorry but im going with made in usa sorinex
Hello what about powertec? Are they any good especially the multi system workbench? Thanks
I have the T3 and love it. The first one sent to me had some damage and Titan immediately sent me a new one!
I bought a TDS power rack. Has 2″ posts and claims it has a 1050lbs weight limit support. For $279 and free shipping from Amazon I thought it was a pretty good deal. The big selling point for me was the spotter safety bars that can also support up to 1050lbs. With my hours I never have time for a spotter. What is your thoughts on this?
Will the Matador and other accessories for the Rogue fit the Titan rack?
Any chance you can review Chelichana equipment, they are made in the EU (Croatia)?
Hey man, you may need to tighten the bolts on your Titan more. It shouldn’t shake like that, even when not attached to the floor or a platform. I built my T-3 last night and was worried after watching your video, but it doesn’t wiggle at all, and isn’t attached to the floor/platform yet. They also recommend mounting the 2″ bar to the rear of the cage. I doubt that matters much, but yours has them reversed.
