I returned my Ultraboost 19 recently IMHO, a flaw in the design where the ankle area simply doesn’t hold your foot snug enough Got a very snug fit and yet the ankle always felt like it wasn’t held in place firm enough Even sized down with a return and it still didn’t work for me
Ita juat nikes and adidas and turns out new balance is actuallly shit
Hi!! Just wanna say I cant get enough of your videos!! Love them…i wanted to add also that the weight on the heel can be a pain trigger… Also for stiletto heels i always go for the one that dont start right at the back of the shoe but more under the foot’s heel…. They are more comfortable
I have tarsal coalition and it can be excruciatingly painful. I really think surgery is my only option.
What?! I’ve never (except once) had a shoe feel good. They always rub in some area or another, usually the heel, and the only comfortable shoe I did have didn’t support my arch and after a month, my lower back hurt so much that I hobbled, not realizing it was my comfortable shoes causing it.
My favorite narrow shoe is definitely the 2018 Adidas Pro Bounce
Wow! I have 2 sets of custom orthotics and this is the first time I’ve heard I don’t need to spend 400 plus for each pair to get results
So happy I found your videos! Thank you for putting content out there. I have a question. I have textbook flat feet and need arch support with my 2″ wedge sandals. Are there arch only inserts you recommend? Thanks again for all you do!
why does he put on that voice??? trying to make it deep and rad!?
Honestly as a heavy wide footed guard I’m really enjoying the li-Ning sonic 7 one of the best shoes I had
My feet are like Bob’s…big arches. I have to have support under my heals that raise my heals a bit, because my feet don’t flex when I walk. I prefer the gel heals in running shoes. Happy Birthday Ryan!
Please can you tell me ho to avoid sliding forward to my toe when ever i wear boots with heels i winter, cause i always wear socks in them and alway slide me down
aye you should do an episode on which sneaks or best for flat feet lol! my shit is flat but I’m gonna give them Ultra 20’s a try cause I have the other boost they are comfortable but I’m gonna get them 20’s good video
I’m 67 and when I was very young a doctor recommended that he break the bones in my feet and reset them so I wouldn’t be flat footed. My parents said no. I wore arch supports for a while and stopped for a long time. Then about thirty years ago I started again. I stopped again a few year ago because my chiropractor recommended. Haven’t had a problem while working out.
Bro, thanks for the video, this is the first video that I watched from you guys, I really appreciate what you guys did for the content from 0:19– 1:00. There are indeed so many different factors when talking about sizes and fit. I always thought I have a weird foot or I’m picky, from now, I know I’m not, this is called “professional insight” I guess. Well done and thank you guys, keep up the good work!
You find the Adidas Yeezy Boost 380 more visually aesthetic than the Hoka One One Bondi 6? WOW! LOL all a matter of opinion I guess! Great video!
Can you please expose the company Good Feet. They are a ripoff and their “system” is not worth it.
Any arch support hurts my feet. I don’t have flat feet, nor high arches, but wear flat & wide shoes. I usually get a men’s shoe (which can be hard to find a size 7.5) because they tend to fit better. For years the skater style was the only shoe that was comfortable. Work boots are also tough to find. So many factors impact the fit & availability.
Bob may actually be a supinator…
Yes, motion control. NB is great for foot problems!
Wow. Thanks for this information. Gonna find my fiance indoor/outdoor foot wear for his “flat feet”.
My favourite shoe of all time are definitely the UB 20s. Also just purchased Nike Air Peg 37s for running. I’m sure they won’t disappoint. Great review. Thanks.
So much miss information in this video its unreal. Telling people custom and off the shelf orthotics are the same is untrue. And you should not have your orthotics made from a chiropractor. It is out of their scope of practice. Ryan the test subject has mild pes planus or flat feet. This video does not address the issue with calcaneal valgus that almost always accompanies true pes planus. And off the shelf orthotics do not treat the calc, control the heel and the rest of the foot follows. You need your custom orthotics made by an orthotist, not a podiatrist or chiropractor. Properly casted and designed custom foot orthotics work. If you your feet are “fixed” by OTS foot orthotics you most likely didn’t need them to begin with. True pes Plano valgus (flat feet) is an issue with low tone through the foot and becomes a bony structural issue. Stepping out of your scope of practice here…..
I have a pair of19s and they are super comfortable, but I prefer the earlier UB models. They have a way more pillowy feel under foot.
Great vid, told the samething to a customer once, can’t live on one piece of tech.
New Balance 990V5 is not squishy like boost but it doesn’t give you foot fatigue like boost can be after walking for hours.
I tried Z coil shoe because of leg pain, but they are a very heavy shoe. Monarch Air is still the best wide width I’ve tried.?
Jord 34s ain’t fucking wide stfu. Wasted 200 dollars because of you.
Is the boost 20 worth buying if I own the 19?? Any better? Always needing comfy❤
The Hoka One One should be called ‘the skyscraper’ because it makes you like 6cm taller
I don’t think there will be a Pegasus Turbo version 3 coming out.
My favorite is the nike react. Also have the boost 20 and 19. Nike react 2 is the best ever for me. I’m not a runner. Have 4 pair and eyeing another pair. Love the phantoms!!!
I got 2 pairs of ultraboost 19 there the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had
You should show all you’re sneaker collection and you should show you’re most favorite sneakers like for him to see this!!
I have been running since I was a kid, now 70 odd yrs later, no problems with the feet. This, after I was told, I was flat footed. I feel if you go bare foot, a lot of the time, as nature intended, you develop strong feet. This can be for life
How about pronation and flat feet? I keep purchasing the same ASICS sneaker which help some but would like to find a more ridgid alternative. As far as shoes, I wear the danskos and am considering doc martins. Any suggestions?
Salute,
I have the bondi 5 one one, I bought them years ago i knew then that the aesthtics was going to downplay the sneaker..
Seth Ultraboost/react/the new sensation that Nike created, the flynit react next %, all came from Bondi one one if i am lying seth take a look at the sneakers without being bias to taste..
And you will see.. And keep it to yourself.. I would not want nike to act funny or any other brand to your channel you dig..
I knew as soon as i saw the bondi one one, their was going to be others to copy the technology and switch it witht heir respected sneakerwizards, and make it aesthetically appealing to the masses witbout the populist. understanding,
where the technology to innovate the sneaker came from may be one one, struck a deal with the rest of the sneaker titans, being that its a french based sneaker company in existen for the last 11yrs they are new to the game.. But their innovation can be felt…
I found about one one simply by googling the world best sneaker and they came up I bought them wored them to work, i work in the health field and its go go go all the time.
And as we say the rest is history.
My co workers when they saw the sneaker they immediately went out to purchased it… Seth even yeezy borrowed from one one.. They all did…
Keep the channel going.. Salute…
Thanks for video I’ll try to make better choices with heels but they never have anything cute and sexy when it comes to wide feet
You can go online to Asics.com and it will tell you if a particular shoe is best for over, under, or neutral pronation which is VERY helpful.
I wanna buy some shoes £80+ but my parents say it’s a waste of money and I should grow up:(
Hey bro, the Nike epic react flynit have been replaced or upgraded with the Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit. Have you tried them?

I love my new balance women’s motion control shoes better than orthotics
Yo. What would your top 2 shoes be to wear in a hospital for 8+ hrs a day
The Dame 2 was the shit man. One of the best for sure! First shoe i personalized on the website myselft, and they were lit!
I just bought an adidas ultraboost 19 for 100€ on the official (in Europe) adidas website, I have good expectations
That NB 990 no doubt is the comfiest, 2nd place is Ultraboost.
Who else came here knowing ultraboosts gonna be in the list?
Pointy toe shoes aren’t made for anybody’s foot, you WILL develop bunions after years of wear
It Doesn’t help so many shoes are made like every one feet are small
I have a Question will Wide feet Fit in Jordan Retro 1s?? I really want some but I have Wide feet and I don’t know if I will Fit in them
My cousin got flat feet after being over weight for 5 years. No doctor warned her so that she could get supports. Do a search for DIY silicone supports.
Wow! Thanks for the tip on the insoles! I may try to wear my Jordan’s or Huaraches that I’ve worn once without the insoles!
Also, glad to know Nike has some kicks I may be able to comfortably wear
Quite interesting. Could you possibly do something about foot problems caused by too-high arches and/or bow legs?
Surprised to find out I already own 2 of these love my 990s and my alpha bounces
I have been losing weight but the AlphaBoost size D fits better than some of the 4E shoes I have purchased
Please make more videos for wide feet shoes I have not found a comfortable enough shoe at all.
Need more wide foot love! All these nikes nowadays made for lil bitch feet!
GO BAREFOOT! Buy barefoot shoes, correct toes and socks. Wide toe box thus not losing the big toes alignment. We should put all our weight through the big toe as we push off. No heel, heels were added to hold horse stirrups. Heels cause anterior pelvic tilt. We were not born with our feet bound up.
I get 50% on everything at Adidas (30% on items on sale) so I can cop them for like 40-50$. Thus I almost only own Adidas shoes but Nike fits way better for me:C
No matter what i wear, the sides of my feet spread and make it extremely wide
hey guys, I have been doing something called “earthing” and have found my foot pain is annihilated while I am barefoot. Real nice shoes, for me, are like some reboks that are super sqishy and almost not a shoe. when I wear my gvmt regulated “saftey shoes” with no flex and splay, they reck my feet. no matter what arch or insole. I probably am flat, but I walk nice with bare feet and with the shoes I “hop”. ie walk like a dork. my heels don’t generally hurt, so I don’t think I have problems cause when I walk barefoot I go heel toe, but with bulshit shoes I go full toe with the hop thing. any advice would be golden.
I really appreciate how practical and how real you all are. I agree with you that if something is going to help my feet I’m going to feel the relief immediately. I’m not going to have to wait and see and adjust to it over time. They are paying games when it comes to flat fee I don’t understand why that is.
I bought a pair of Nite Jogger and decided to get another colorway. They just nice and comfortable the thing is if your feet not too fleshy there are lots free play at the toebox.
I was born with flat feet, both of my parents have it. When I went to get new shoes and stood on the machine, the podiatrist said I had the flattest feet she’s ever seen LOL! And she’d been working a similar job for 15 years! Wearing it like a badge of honour. Anyway she recommended me shoes with proper arch support. I find I can run and stand on them longer without discomfort or pain, although it doesn’t remove the problem entirely.
What about those with very high arches? I have had problems with plantar faciitis for years (pain behind the big toe). Custom orthotics seem to help. What does the research show?
Excellent update…thank you! Would love a video on bunion pain relief.
Really not diggin’ the whole “marshmallow” trend of shoes lately.
I’m a wide foot and I wear the kobe 4’s it’s not bad at all it’s just a lock down it feels good. And it doesn’t feel tight for me.
Remove alphaboost please. Couldnt even slip my feet into them
I tried the Presto Reacts because of this vid and i went a whole 1size up which made the toebox really roomy and comfy but the middle part with the cage is still really tight for me in a case where my feet aches a in a few steps
I have SUPER wide feet and i must say the Yeezy 350 boost’s are THE best shoe to wear at any time i have NEVER found a more comfortable shoe.
I’m sold on Vionic shoes. I even use their inserts for my other shoes.
Big ol wide-foot nurse aide checking in; thank you for this video! I’m hunting for a new work sneaker right now.
Bruh I have 12w feet and it sucks because I can’t wear any Jordan’s
Odd not to see a Peak branded shoe here.. trust me if you have 4E/6E feet, try on a pair of Peak Lou Williams Taichi.
I can’t agree with this. I have been with completely flat feet since a toddler. For years doctors have told me that I need shoes with support, that I will have pain without them, that I will not be able to walk one day. This is a total BS. Supporting the feet is never a solution. Building and strengthening the muscles is. I discovered barefoot shoes (Vivobarefoot) about 3 years ago. I never felt better walking and running. I still have flat feet when standing still, but I have a strong arch when walking. I don’t have any stability issues (I can deadlift double my bodyweight and squat with 1.5).
Recommending feet support is like recommending to take the elevator when you have problems to take the stairs for the second floor.

Ultraboost sucks I had bought one for $224 in India. The sole gets worn of within a year. I would prefer Nike epic react Flyknit edition or Nike zoom it’s better
have to disagree on Curry 7, its tight AF
but have to agree on Kobe 1
The problem is that the alpha boost is the only one that even looks half good
My doctor said I had flexible arches. That when I stand on them, they collapse. Got a horrible case of plantar fasciitis.
i use motion control and have different insoles… to help my pronation.
I find the 93/17 so much more comfortable than the ultraboost
I would say from experience from me and my brother, the KD 9 Elite, Jordan Ultra Fly 1 and 2, Kobe 11 Elite and Jordan 32 are really comfortable to play in for Narrow feet. As for Wide feet, the Lebron 16 and 17, PG 2 and 3, Jordan 29, Lebron 13 Low and Why Not Zer0.2 are the shoes in my opinion that you guys missed out on. As for the best shoe for wide feet, i gotta say it’s the KD 9 Elite from my list. For wide feet, there’s no competition with the Jordan 29. Best basketball shoe to hoop in, plus it’s stylish for everyday wear.
Air max 90 are decent, the leather ones change shape and conform better to your foot after some time
Impeccable timing gents!! I’ve been meaning to purchase new shoes
My son was diagnosed with flat feet. What can you guys tell me that I need to know? I am looking for an orthopedic to check him this month. I am so worried
Everyone from the dmv know wassup with the 990v4 new 990 dont look that good
The foot in the pic is so flat that i had to look at it for a sec to realize what it was
Nike vomero and nike p-6000 are my favorite atm for look and comfort
I have extremely wide feet… to the point that I absolutely cannot wear Nike’s. #1 most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned: ASICS Gel Kayano Trainers (M-33 on side)
Unbelievably comfortable.
P.S. Jack Harlow and I agree with you on the NB’s ✌
any jordan retros recommendation? I wanna buy one but i dont know the fitting
Can you make more videos on Comfortable Sneakers For WIDE FEET for 2020 thank you.
What do you recommend when you foot is crooked in a shoe? No matter what shoe my foot is always off the heel. But my toes fit on the shoe. My ankle is close to floor and no foot dr will help were I am living. Any suggestions?
I only really liked the new Balance one that I loved but i wouldn’t mind another part to this.
My left foot is just completely flat no arch or nothing, my right is slightly arched
What about minimalist shoes? There seems to be a discrepancy on what’s good for runners.
I currently wear inner soles to help my arch. If I bought these motion control trainers would I still need an inner sole?
Also, I’ve heard great things about an American company called “Good Feet” anyone know of a UK equivalent recommendation?
I have posterior tibialis tendonitis and was referred to a special store that sold motion control shoes and expensive orthotics. The orthotics are worn down and are flat now. I was reading that orthotics act as a crutch and do not allow your feet to get stronger. I try to walk barefoot, stand on one foot for balance and walk on my toes. It has slowly gotten better.
Ive had ankle fracture, like a year ago and I didn’t walk on it for 8 months, and I had two surgeries, and now it is so weak, smaller and very flat
Why does this guy look like a physical therapist Ive seen in Davenport Iowa?
I have flat Flintstone feet I have planter facetious I walk around 4 to 5 hours 5 days a week are the asics kayano 25 good shoes to help relieve the pain
Read on for true fixing of the feet. Arch support is a mini crutch, never use them. True fixing of ones foundation: One must strengthen the feet by first strengthening the toes and midfoot in their full range of motion in all directions and extending the heel (calcaneus). This is all linked up and into the glutes, so one cannot truly fix it without addressing the glute medius and surrounding areas. Best way to do all this is yoga. Standing split, or airplane pose, then turning the body to each side while standing on one leg, then going up on toes. Also walk and train barefoot as much as humanly possible. Push the limits. Hot and cold treatment as well, + tens machine all over foot. You will fix your feet and be able to reach athletic potential and build full, massive arches. Your effort has to match that of a body builder. You are growing new feet through growing and retensioning ligaments, capillaries and muscles. Wearing tight shoes makes the nerves turn off in the foot, toes specifically, and the toes go weird directions, muscles atrophy, you get injury and you get flat feet. I solved the knowledge side for you, now put in that effort and live your dreams.
Good review, i recently got the boost 20 and its my new daily driver. Not that i have any other decent shoes to compare it to lol, worth the price tag for a 1 off investment, wouldn’t buy another one until this gets shreded
A shoe i also find comfortable atw the nike air max 98
They are wide
Yeah my feet are extremely flat my whole foot is on the ground (had a scan done) and now my ankle collapses inward I will try these no motion shoes
Thanks for the info guys! Wide footer here. I have a question though; Would you consider the Anta KT5 as a shoe for narrow footers? Or wide footers? More power to you fellas!
flat feat is in our family. ive got flat feet. my boy has flat feet. i cant do any sport.
Cruz ✝️. This Definition Flat Foot is so old an stupid definition.. it was known low arch an high arch…
For your giveaways need how to info? Not at all user friendly.
Does having flat feet cause your knees to tilt inwards slightly? I notice that if I’m standing and lift the insides of my feet slightly my knees feel better aligned.
I have to buy shoes but this helped with decision I made on an expensive pair.
Jordan 13 feels great for me I’m a narrow footer and I got tru to size and man the zoom with that carbon fiber shank makes me feel like I can fly
I’m not even into sneakers, but I love hearing you two talk! Hehe love you two!!
I have flat feet got my innersoles custom made free but they don’t work. My ankles are really swollen and painful. My dr has prescribed pain killers and I’ll be having physio later this month.
I’m constantly on my feet especially at work (but I can’t quit my job -which dr suggested four years ago)
But I’d like not to be taking pain killers and want any advice you can give me. As I often find I can not walk upstairs as feet sooo painful after each shift at work. Also what kind of shoes would be best as well? Thank you
Flat feet and over pronating feet are entirely different things. Worrying you don’t understand this.
Why would a generic over the counter orthotic fit my specific foot. It usually will not. Custom orthotics are awesome for men. Much more difficult for women to fit into a stylish shoe. Those people with chronic arch problems will gladly pay $500 for the relief. Makes your shoe feel like it was custom made for your foot. But like most things, you need to go to a good specialist, get what you pay for.
I fall in to this category of having a neutral foot strike, but a low arch / flat wider foot. What are your thoughts on Altra shoes?
I wish they made better work boots and runners for flat feet and orthotics. I have really bad flat feet. My last orthotics I believe were to soft and made wrong. No support. I have new ones now. But unsure if they fit really well or lacking support. Almost feels flat under my feet. I’ve seen 3 to 4 podiatrist. Hard to get the correct help.
I sprained my right ankle and my foot went flat.. Now I’ve been having so many problems with my foot and walking..
I have congenital pes planus & the foot doctor said it’s caused by the ligament laxity in my knees. I have arch-support orthotics & was advised to ice my knees whenever I get those painless “pop” in the knee bones. Nice looking arch, Bob!
Anyone here who’s a wide footed boi that owns a Converse 70s low?? i really want to buy a pair but i dont know yet how it fits for wide footed like me if it looks good or what. please leave a reply on my comment
I have flat-ish feet and personally have gone the complete opposite way to this, most footwear don’t have a wide enough toe box to allow the big toe to support the arch properly. Some minimalist and barefoot shoes do allow more space in the toe box which helps your foot to support itself naturally. In theory all these motion control and arch support shoes help with is weakening your foot muscles. I don’t want to be wearing support shoes/slippers around the house, I see my grandparents with flat feet struggle at home with balance because they wear rock like slippers with ‘arch support’. I refuse to believe that after billions of years of evolution, a huge portion of the population are born with defective feet that need to be encased in shoes like solid rock.
I haven’t been wearing barefoot shoes for too long yet but I feel better in them, I used to get very sore arches and feel like I was getting shin splints after being in shoes all day but that stopped after I switched to minimalist shoes. I don’t know if it’s for everyone, especially older people or people with flatter feet than me but I would say test the waters out a bit, if you can walk around at home barefoot it shouldn’t be too much of a jump, just be conscious if you personally can avoid that inward rotation of the ankle. Start easy if you choose to transition.
that adorable oldman puggo needs some little Monarchs too
“Have to try on 5 or 6 pairs of shoes” made me want to laugh & cry at the same time. I have horrible feet to fit shoes (flat, wide & toes go straight across like Fred Flinstone) & it takes hours at the store or like 5 rounds of multiple shoe Zappos orders.:( I second someone else’s comment that I would love a video about shoes for wide feet with great arch support.
I have been wearing Arcopedico for years. Great support but they are vegan and my feet stink. What is a good leather dress shoe for women?
I hope Ryan had good birthday! I have flat feet but my oldest son has extreme flat feet. At 15 he had surgery at Shriners Hospital to break his tibia, rotate it straight and move his knee cap. He had one leg then the other 4 months later. They said he needed his femurs done but aged out before he could. They got him in custom orthotics that worked great, but when he out grew them the person that made the new ones didn’t do a good job. They hurt his feet really bad. They wouldn’t fix them and now he just hurts bad all the time. I am going to share this video with him. Thank you for the info!
I had a pair of New Balances but I accidentally left my window open at night and Ryan Gosling flew into my room and took them while I was sleeping.
I just bought the Air Jordan 34 and Zoom Air in em is amazing.

We people with wide feet have the best sneaker everyone wants anyway:) God bless Air Force 1 <3
I’m so upset cause I can’t even finding high heels for extra wide feet ☹️

Your fet don’t even look like they fit the shoe let alone been wide
Thanks for the info. My Podiatrist made insoles for me. I’m going to try this…
I’ve had custom orthotics for almost 15 years-the same pair, still working great. I wear them in my athletic shoes when I walk for exercise (3-6 miles, three times/week). I’d be in agony without them (as I discovered when I forgot them when I went on vacation once). I use off-the-shelf inserts for daily use. My podiatrist is professional and careful, and it seems irresponsible and unprofessional to suggest that it’s all film flam. I also use high stability running shoes, and my town is fortunate to have a great athletic shoe store that takes the time to fit properly and accepts returns readily. They even accommodated someone I know who needs two different size shoes because of childhood polio-only charged her for one pair even though they had to break up the pairs to fit her.
jut a curious question. So what is good for people who have high arches but weak ankles?
I’m sorry if I offend anyone, but adidas is not my favourite brand of shoe, not as comfortable as Mizuno,Nike or Brooks
Does the ultraboost 20’s sole do not pop out or bulge on long term use?
Nothing comes close to sketchers shoes, not Adidas or Nike or whatever, I dont know why it’s so underrated this way!
Motion control shoes are going to have heavy arch support. Won’t this just make the arch weaker? It seems like your advice here contradicts advice given in the video on how to improve balance.
Absolutely Wrong!!!!! Five years ago when there was nothing wrong with my feet I decided to spend a lot of money at, The Good Feet Store. I thought it would prevent injury to get these shoe inserts for all of my shoes. In a short time my feet and hips went down hill. It’s been at least five years from this terrible decision and I’m now correcting the horrible pain in my feet and hips simply with walking barefoot and using Xero Shoes. OMG the pain is going away and my feet are NO LONGER IN CASTS. Shoes are casts and the feet can’t do their job on their own when when their in casts.
Absolutely beautiful, love the entire look & I needed this video
I probably would have mentioned something from Mizuno. They’re more known as a runners shoe but I remember my old pair of Mizuno Waveriders lasted me 3+ years and were basically indestructible. The plate they put in the midsole helps keep you stable and adds some firmness while the outsole is really grippy and loses tread at a slow pace and I’m saying that as someone who wore them daily even when going up & down mountain trails while hiking if it was hot out. Feet basically never got hot. Laces never cut into me, basically perfect and I miss them. Probably going to replace my current pair with some after they burn out.
I found you Guy’s by accident and Boy how lucky was I. I don’t have flat feet but I do notice that after a long day in certain shoes I get a pain in my heel the next day. Any suggestions?
With glasses you can see better, but your eyes won’t be better and your eye muscles won’t be stronger. Same consequences with the shoes Brad mentioned in the video: you (probably temporarly) walk better, but your feet won’t be stronger and healthier. In general, using (traditional) shoes our feet do not have to work and during our life they become weaker and weaker. Consequences: flat feet, hammertoes, hallux valgus and such. Specific exercises and a few hours barefoot walking on a daily base will make your feet stronger again and give them good working biomechanics. This is THE solution against flat feet.
After having a spinal cord injury and being left with drop foot on my right foot it behaves like a flat foot so I always need to wear insoles with arch support…..trainers and boots are ok to wear then but forget shoes……can’t keep them on, can’t wear them anymore
For me you’re fucking ridiculous if you buy shoes with tongues that don’t detach with wide feet
New to channel!! You are very informative! Wondering
If you can kindly do a video on Flats and sneakers for issues
With them as well! Ref inserts!!
Do these motion control shoes have a big bump for arch support?
I can remember being in first grade, looking for shoes for back to school, and being frustrated because so many have this big bump inside the pressed against the bottom of my foot. Shoes with arch support hurt me until the arch support breaks down.
This isn’t a matter of getting arch support for a nonexistent arch, is it? Mine are extremely flat. In fact, I was probably an adult when I realized most people had an arch. Or what that actually looks like.
I have a flat feet, but ever seen so tryed eating tie pods my feet healed them self
A wonderful company for pronated feet: OrthoticShop.com we have very flat feet and they carry sandals, slippers, business wear, running shoes, booties, boots that are technologically a great relief! They are amazing at correcting the pronation, we walk without tiring and our feet are not turning inside.
I have high arches but lately my left foot arch got a sharp burning pain that felt like a pulled muscle. I’ve had pain for 2 months now & have to wear arch bands even when barefoot or it happens again. The pain goes up my ankle now. I guess cheap but cute shoes are a thing of the past. I’m investing in vionic brand shoes. Thanks for all the info!
Been waiting for a video like this .
New balance omn1s for wide footers and Nike pg4s for narrow footers
I just got a flashback to the days (nights) when Dad was “feeling good’ and he would break out in a little ditty, “Flat foot floogie with a floy, floy, Flat foot floogie with a floy, floy, Floy doy, floy doy, floy doy. Yeah, yeah yeah, byah, oh, baby!”
Good evening, Let me thank you both for this great information, also for the experiment you showed of the water foot print.
I have had flat feet since birth and shoes that have arch support kill my feet, extremely painful as the minutes go by while walking.
No love for Reebok? Their Floatride shoes are so comfy. Kinda ugly tho.
Great vid! Lol go figure, I’m a skinny dude with wide feet and all my fav shoes are in the narrow side
I always thought the 500 price tag on customs was an insurance scam. None of them ever helped me. Best thing is lots of stretching. Years of meds have made a mess of my tendons and what not.
I’ve been wanting to try the Adidas Dame 6 but not sure if it’s for wide or slim feets.
I know this is like a month later but what about the dame 6s?
Hi guys!!! I am 62, had Bi-lateral knee replacements 15 months ago..My
R ankle over pronates due to rolling my ankle when I was 17..which is
making my knee turn causing my tendons to pull..I recently bought a
Motion Control Athletic shoe, but the sole seem way to hard, &
wearing them make me feel bowlegged..lol..any
suggestions??THANK-YOU!!!!!
I wear out the heels and soles of my shoes on the outside………supination. Are there inserts for that?
I know flat feet is a thing but people never talk about arch feet, which are a pain in the a$$ too, i would love some advises
How can I know my feet are narrow or wide, I’ve been staring at my feet for 20mins
Chiropractor just told me I need arch support. Sold me a pair. Thanks for this. I am by nature, skeptical. I’ll try them… guess my socks aren’t very supportive.
I love the react prestos! Went out for a couple of runs in them and no complaints
What kd 12 whattttt?? In narrow whatttt fungbros you should try kyrie low 2 men for me that namber 1 for me for narrow
Im now 73 I was born with flat feet hy left ankle I had injured many years ago and its extremely flat, so I need to know should I where hiking type boots like skechers, or regular sneakers for the most support., May I also use a good insert for fallen arches?
I Have Flat Feet, There is Such Thing 0F Flat Feet. My Dr,. Told Me and it’s True, They Don’t Bother Me @ all, it’s been like That Since I was little. So I Believe There is People That Have Flat Feet.
When I play with Westbrook’s why not zero.1, man I perform my best man not gonna lie. That’s why I own two lol. But my only complain to that shoe is it’s hot.
Honorable mention new balance omnis because it can be used for a wide foot and narrow foot
People with wide feet that still buy Nike
LMFAO, literal slavery
First time seeing u guys, but I need a good pair of basketball kicks. Will definitely take your recommendations. Salute!
Wide FootersFoamposites one/pro
Narrow Footers Kobe 11s
Dope video!
I had flat feet and knock knees since i can remember, i can’t wear shorts because kids made fun of shape of my legs. for a long time, my feet doesn’t hurt at all, i only feel really streesful after a lot exercise. maybe my feet have evolved after years exercise.
in a youtube you did 3 years ago you stated that using inserts was bad and to do exercises instead, have you changed your mind on that?
I don’t think I have ever been entertained about a shoe review as much as I have been by this one. How unusual.
Adidas EQT Bask ADV are very great for wide feet too! I got 2 pairs:)
I have flat feet and never knew until my husband told me he said when I’m upstairs it sounds like a elephant is walking
Hey Fung Bros, loved this video! Can you make a shoe video for girl ballers?
My experiences have always been that arch supports give me tendonitis in my arch. Maybe ill have to try again though my knees need the support.
I really just Like being barefoot, I more so just walk in the balls of my feet so it’s not much of problem. It’s when I pit shoes on a loose that fine motor control in my foot that they really go flat.
Where is your office located, what city/state? And do you accept insurance? And does one need a referral from an doctor? Thanks.
i had heel spurs and great arches. custom orthotics help the plantar facitis pain. heel pain finally got so bad cortisone shots no longer helped. after heel spur surgery i now have flat feet and much pain when barefoot. wore brooks for years then got bunions. to avoid surgery i now wear widest shoe i could find, mens NB 6E wide for bunion relief. fit at back but front feels like got on a roomy house shoe! happy feet!!! elastic strings help with arthritis in hands. yeah i.m a bit of a mess but still upright and movin forward!!! love your videos.
I’ve probably invested around 1 thousand on inserts and special treatments and see no difference what so ever.
That kid has nothin on my flat feet…flat as pancakes my feet are, pressure or no.
Pegasus 37 is an overall good shoe. You won’t be disappointed
What about my feet that widen about one inch when I step down?
Excellent, thanks.. How about trail running/hiking shoes for the same feet prb?! We wish you make a video focusing of that issue n give some suggestion as well.
For big sizes 13-14, id recommend sizing up a half or full and if you like some room: Airmax deluxe/ sb dunk highs / puma cell og / AF1 / regular alpha bounce
My foot Doc made me one with elastic bandage tape and a pad, it works as good and no extra charge. My 300 hundred dollar ones I got from another doc hurt my foot. and my insurance would not pay for it.
I’m 55, flat feet all my life. One doctor told me I have duck feet. Shoes with a hard arch hurts my feet. I just started having ankle and feet pain this year.
Thx for these vids man they are the comfortablest shoes I’vehave ever worn
Great video. I’m one of these people and just recently figured it out. Only after trying on one of these models (NB 840), did I realize that many of the other “wide” shoes I’ve worn were still too narrow in some parts of the foot. This video helped me understand why.
Exercises like calf raises, jump rope and basketball fixed my sons flat feet pain.
I have flat feet and my knees turn in that causes major back issues and sciatica. I am always looking for inserts. Had trouble since I was little.
I’d like to mention than a couple decades ago, almost every shoe had a steel spring in the sole to support the arch. If you consult a shoemaker doing custom ones he will probably do this aswell. But I guess the research team from Nike and Adidas haven’t figured out this ancient technique.
I feel more videos are necessary as I was always interested in how the feet should move, when striking the ground while running as an example. With professional Marathon runners I observe, that their arch collapses significantly and the feet also pronate, yet the tibia and knee stay aligned. Neither tibia nor knee are rotating inwards. A look from above the feet would be helpful too. I worked on stabilising my feet but I #m unsure if I’m overdoing it. My arch is pretty solid now, but there is still a tendency for the foot to roll inwards.
I feel like a lot of y’all saying you’re wide footers aren’t actually wide footers . If you were half the shoes you mentioned would hurt your feet. Tbh the Jordan 34s don’t look very wide. Will the material stretch/form to your feet?
Adidas Prophere’s are pretty comfortable they do have a “thick mid sole foam cushioning”. I got them when they first came out, they look really nice and feel great!
I can’t say enough good things about the $30 Walk-Fits. I along with my father had Plantar Fasciitis due to wearing baseball cleats. He saw the infomercial and tried a pair. Within 2 months his plantar fasciitis was healed. I had plantar fasciitis for over a year and had tried cortisone shots, stretching, strengthening, shoe cushion inserts ect..and nothing helped. 2 months of wearing the walk-fits and my plantar fasciitis was healed. I disagree with the statement made that “If it hurts don’t use/buy it” because when you wear the walk-fits you cannot wear them for an extended period of time for the first few weeks. It even says that in their instructions. They do irritate/hurt you feet after you wear them for even only a short period of time when you first begin wearing them. But after a few weeks/month or so you can wear them longer and longer until you have them in the entire day. I continue to play baseball, basketball, work out in the gym ect… and I have a pair in each of my shoes. I have flat feet and without them my feet hurt and both of my knees hurt. When I wear them my knee pain goes away and my feet feel great. I don’t own stock in the company, I’m not a distributor, I don’t work there ect.. I’m just a person who suffered with very sore feet and knees and the walk-fits aligned things and have taken the pain away. Simply incredible..I would have never thought that a $30 shoe insert could have that much impact on my physical well being.
How do I fix supinated feet? My feet are very supinated. I’ve been told it’s because I’m so fat. I’ve been losing weight (over 100 lbs down,) but what should I do in the meantime?
They need to make wide fit Jordan’s smh. I gotta size a whole size up for 1s cos of my wide feet smh.
What about feet that are flat with no weight on them. My feet have been flat my whole life and even if I just sit down and put them against each other sole to sole you can see the left one is s straight line and the right one has a very slight curve, but it’s negligible. Because I have NO natural arch, inserts ALWAYS feel like there’s something poking me so I’ve always opted to completely flat shoes or what is most comfortable because it allows my feet maximum flexibility they so desperately need barefoot.
Exactly, a doctor here in Windsor Ontario made me buy 4 different custom arches, I spent a lot of money and I went back to tell him that my son’s feet were getting worse and he said oh he needs another kind $400 per foot. I’m so mad, some doctors don’t care about children but about their own pockets.
I have flat and wide feet and I hike a lot, so for me it is like a constant search for the better trail sneaker…thanks for suggesting these shoes!
I had foot surgery in ’97 with the dr making me custom supports after and used them all the time and they kept me pain free. I couldn’t wear them in sandals, and my feet would hurt horribly without them. I gave up wearing sandals, which was no fun in the summer. The supports finally wore down and last year I decided to try the supports from the Good Feet Store instead. They are expensive, but they are even better than the custom supports, and I can wear them in sandals!! I went out and bought several pair of sandals and I felt liberated! But I think at the same time that everyone is different and has to figure out what will work best for them. Would LOVE if I didn’t have to wear the arch supports, but at least I have options now.
I have feet that literally behave like pancakes when I put weight on them. The grow about an inch wider, it’s insane. And completely flat to the point where I’m starting to develop a callous on the bone that is in the middle of my arch. Bunions and tailors bunions because they spread so much. I’ve been told I need custom orthotics because my big toe is messed up as well, but after watching this I’m not so sure. My off the shelf heat modified ones are good and a compromise between off the shelf and full customs $220 AUD, but the ultimate problem seems to be that the connective tissue in my feet is made of soup. I’d probably be better off with some kind of compression sock to help control the spread. Any ideas?
You trying to get me killed in these streets. Everyone gonna cut my ass.
Actually I have a question. I have custom made orthotics. Should I throw them out and get a store bought one like the ones you suggested. I have shin splints even with short walks. Thank you.
im flat footed and suffer severe runners knees..the kind of i cant walk 1 miles in the week, not the kind that give a lil pain after a 10 miles run… i cant walk 50 feet without my custom orthepedic, pain is almost immediate and will last at least 3 days..cheap ones never done nothing for me. if you suffer from the same problem invest in computer made orthepedic.
Hi guys!!! I am 62, had Bi-lateral knee replacements 15 months ago..My
R ankle over pronates due to rolling my ankle when I was 17..which is

I’ve been wearing Chuck Taylor’s my whole life. Can you recommend a shoe that’s not big and bulky on my foot? Most seem to be really wide on the back of the heel.
Great video! So happy I’ve been right all along. Ultra boost 20 is the most comfortable shoe ever made.
where’s the joyride flyknit? Can you explain why it’s not on this list? Thank you
My 9 year old has had a slight pigeon toe on one foot since birth. Is it too late to fix something like that.
I would agree that not every person needs custom orthotics. I am a podiatrist. Your reference to a chiropractic orthotic is laughable. There are some podiatrists I would not recommend for custom orthotics. But chiropractors know very little about the foot. Furthermore, it is important to understand the source of the llatfooi, i.e. frontal plane, sagittal plane or transverse deformity resulting in the flatfoot. Some of what you say is reasonable. Some is showing your lack of knowledge about the flatfoot deformity. And I agree that not everyone needs a custom orthotic.
I had to quit my warehouse job at Amazon because the pain from my flat feet after constantly lifting boxes all day was WAY too much. It built up a whole lot. Everything hurt from my feet to my neck.
I even have custom orthotics. They helped, but they aren’t meant for 10 hours of standing on reinforced concrete.
Fun flash back: the guys past video on flat feet. Watch both to get diff info.
https://youtu.be/5O_JMpwN8kc
They have other good videos on flat feet and inserts. Just search ‘bobbrad flat feet’ (or inserts). Cheers
got wide ass flat feet, what shoe do you recommend? i tried ultraboost and have a few pair of adidas and flyknit rn, lebron 16 low is good too…but could get better
yeah maby try to come to the subject so we dont ave to dislike the video
You don’t need to correct flat feet. There’s nothing correct, you have no arch, it’s flat! The only people who need arch support are people who have arches!! Get it arch support, supporting the arch, flat feet people don’t need arch supports or correction. Changing the way body mechanics and walking is un natural and can cause more issues with your bones in your legs. Walking barefoot is best way to walk. All this correction and stability shoes is messing people’s legs and feet up. Snake oil salesman trying to sell you arch supports and pronation correction shoes.
7:15 Yooo ive seen that low rider ankle b4. bitch looked like she had Power Puff Girl feet. #anklesonly
I have custom arch supports and they hurt my feet even more than when I’m walking without them. Wouldn’t recommend.
I’ve been using custom orthotics for 30 years, and most don’t work too well. I recently found an insert made by orthofeet that works very well, and gives me more relief than my $400 custom orthotics.
listening to this is what i imagine shit tastes like but for my ears
honestly, for such a long time i hated shopping for shoes. Then, heels were a nightmare and I love heels. I was always kind of insecure about it but i realized its just feet and like you said the internet has so many diff vendors!
I’m not a flat-footer though I like it the best when I’m walking on a floor without anything on my feet…a flat, hard surface under my feet, that’s the stuff.
I have flat feet and Morton’s neuroma… can’t win. A podiatrist gave me a cortisone shot which lasted a few years but the pain came back.
What might help is to lose weight I need to lose weight so I’m trying to fast atm
I’m glad to hear the information that you both give. So many times people say you need to break in your shoes which I never believed. And your feet are very important, looks without good functionality are no longer great shoes I believe. This thinking needs to continue in order to help other people understand how connected the body is.
I am 21 years old. I always workout. Trying to stay in safe for the Marine corps boot camp or fire academy ( which ever comes first. Military is taking for ever). Mostly everyday. Just last week while running my whole calf on both legs started to hurt and get tight while running. Next day went running same thing. And the next. So i stopped running for a bout a week. Today i workout. Then when i started to do air squats; under my foot started to cramp up. I know i have flat feet. I’ve been using some Reebok cross fit shoes. I guess it’s time to invest into other shoe. I am in good shape but with this foot and calf pain i get during workouts. Makes me not want to workout.
You forget the Vans Ultrarange EXO, this shoes are one of the comfortable shoes ever.
I have wide feet would you recommend pg 2.5s for a half a size up
I have been wearing Virbam five finger shoes full-time for now over 2 and 1/2 years. I now have no longer flat feet, weak arches, weak abductor muscles, plantar faciitis, chronic fungus infection between my toes, weak ankles no more. Forget arch supports.
Aye man David Fung GANG 0:39 wide feet gang where y’all at
This vid really started off quite slowly, then picked up mid way, when dreads began talking about the NB shoe. But, rather than speaking to the brands and models features overall, the focus was on the “waist” of the shoe, which was over explained. We get it, okay? Move on and speak to the other features of these shoes and brand differences. You make all of these shoes seem to really be the same. I’m sure they have similarities because they are designed for flat feet etc., but the distinctions were not made, but addressed as the user will determine which is best. That’s fine for them at the time, but not for those of us, who are trying to getter better info. from this video. Disappointed, for sure.
I love the support I get from Vionic shoes. I use their arch supports in my other shoes. They are really comfortable to me.
Stay woke ppl…more cushion = the less your feet actually work!
Just because your feet are tired/sore does not mean you need to wrap it in a pillow.
Oh my god you’re a lifesaver! I’ve always felt uncomfortable about my feet because I have bunions (genetics are the best right?). Your video is so detailed, it’s helped me to understand what footwear is best for me and how to make sure my feet are comfortable without worsening the bunions further. I used to buy shoes that everyone else was buying because they were trendy, especially converse. And I’ve only just started realising how much it hurts to wear converse and they’ve made my bunions even worse. And most shoes that are cheap end up just enhancing the bunions more and they look horrific. I’m so glad there are more options for us, as growing up without the ‘wide’ shoe option was hard, and the majority of shoes made for people with wide feet/bunions look terrible or ugly. It’s great to have someone that understands the struggle of having wide feet to explain how to find the right footwear for people like us, so thank you
So if I want to get the Yeezy 700.i have to get a size 9 bc I size 8.5
don isue mad narrow what could if put my foor half way in it and i got a size and a half bigger
I had two sets of bulky custom orthotics that did nothing then I got the expensive over the counter arch supports and my plantar fasciitis went away within a very short time. Just as you said, it’s a guess and what works for one doesn’t always work for someone else. Same with shoes, some people love New Balance but they don’t work for me at all. I wear Brooks (running shoes) for walking and they’ve been the best.
For all the basketball sneaker heads… are the adidas d.o.n issue, aka donavan Mitchell’s shoe good
thank u sooo much for this video im flat footed too and love basketball
great advice =I usually use inserts = I will try those exercises, thanks john
My problem is if they feel good on I end up w bad cramping at night
Hey bob and brad! Your channel is looking good… you all seem like you might be making some money…. have you considered a better camera and lighting to shoot your video?
It can probably make a big difference.
✌️
wow, I used to buy these shoes here shoescorner.com, the quality is good and the ship is fast but the price is a bit higher than elsewhere =)))
My mom had flat feet, lived until hundred yrs, I have the same feet, and my grandson age ten yr has same flat feet, runs in the family
Hi Bob & Brad, just found this video & I was wondering, what is your alls opinion on the Dr Scholl’s custom fit orthotics you can get at a kiosk and are they good for long term or if using them long term will it be worse on the body in regards to body alignment and/or gait from feet up to the back?
The reason I ask is because my daughter’s pediatric rheumatologist suggested some arch supports for her flat feet & so we tried the Dr. Scholl’s kiosk & it had her do some simple “tests” by standing on both feet, standing on one foot, then the other, leaning forward and weight bearing on one foot then the other. The kiosk recommended an insole based on the movements she performed, which I believe was C220. They were $50 with a $10 off coupon making them $40, plus tax. As soon as she put them in her shoes and put her shoes on, you could see a HUGE difference. Her feet went from looking like she was standing on her arches with her weight completely flattening them to making her stand “normal” with a normal gait. She hasn’t complained of back pain in the last 3 weeks since wearing them, which previous to buying them she complained her back hurt quite frequently. She also says they are comfortable & she doesn’t complain about pain when she is having to walk around for more than an hour. These seem to be working really good for her.
Kobe ad mid is not a narrow at all it’s super wide up front I’m a wide foot and I wear those super wide up front
Best wide foot running shoe of all time: Brooks pure cadence 2. Get your size, your true size, and enjoy the most comfortable run you’ve ever had in your life. Good luck finding a pair though, as they havent been commercially available since 2014
No one gonna talk about how this is all just weartester B-roll with Fung bro’s commentary?
Where is your top from? It’s so cute and looks great on your skintone
Great shoe choices but nothing for people who need ankle support
Anyone try reebok zprint? I have many pairs with that sole.. they’re my most comfortable.
I’ve had flat feet all my life and it’s never given me any issues. Also, I may be on the autism spectrum, and low muscle tone seems to be common with ASD and flat feet are a common symptom. Children with autism sometimes walk around on their tippy toes, could this be a self correcting way to build muscle strength and higher arches? I read a comment on here from someone who was suggested to do this exercise as an alternative treatment. We are quick to discourage and discredit unusual behaviour in this society, but perhaps we are sometimes too quick to demand conformity in our society. Just some thoughts. Btw, I love the Abraham Hicks quote at the start of the video!
Any suggestions for my 11yo son whom had Achilles & heel chord lengthening surgery now leaving him flat foot. Always searching for support for summertime so he’s able to go sort of barefoot
i have a wide foot i will have to go with lebron 16 and hyperdunk 2014 at the moment

Maaannn would be cool if you put the list with time stamp in here haha. Good video, love it!!
Bob and Brad, do you have an opinion on rebounders/mini trampolines? They claim to have many health benefits.
Honestly I will just wear any hoop shoe that looks good and has good traction just got to get use to playing on them
I have been flat-footed my entire life. About 9 years ago in my early 50’s I developed crippling plantar fasciitis. I had gotten by for years in good Brooks athletic shoes, fit in a running shop by people who took one look at my feet and knew what shoe I needed. I would break down a pair of shoes every 6 months. When I finished that phase and changing shoes no longer worked, they sent me to a pedorthist, who made me very expensive, but very wonderful, full sole custom orthotics. My plantar fasciitis was cured in less than 2 weeks! That pair of orthotics lasted 5 years!! They are limiting, as not every shoe has a deep enough foot bed to use these monsters, but I walk without pain! I just want to encourage anyone with overpronation to not give up…relief is available!
Can everybody in the comment section give me suggestions on how to clean my kd 12’s. I got dirt underneath the screen on the back of the shoe and I have been trying different solutions to get it out and it has barely worked. Suggestions anybody?
THANK YOU GUYS IVE BEEN NEEDING A VIDEO LIKE THIS CAUSE I HAVE WIDE FOOT THANK YOU SOO MUCH
They could say anything to compliment each shoe. if I could wear any shoe for 32 hours 3 min and 2 sec it would be the kd 12.
My favs are Melo M10 & M11, kyrie 6, and jordan why not 1.0… I was expecting at least one of them will be on the list
I’ve been flat footed for as long as I can remember, and bunions, and broke my right foot across the arch, tore muscles and ligaments.. now have a HARD time being on my feet for long periods of time. Wake up the next day and cry just putting my feet on the floor..
I was one of those patients whose ankle pronated to the floor. I also had severe tibialis tendinitis. The pain was so bad I could only walk on the outer side of that foot. I ended up with a calcaneal osteotomy to rebuild the arch. Unfortunately my orthopedic surgeon never once recommended post surgical PT much less orthotics to keep my arch working right. About a year later though, my chiropractor fitted me for custom orthotics. I wear them constantly with good quality footwear like in this video. My feet feel great 9 years later.
why does the nike air monarch looks like the yeezy boost 700 that you tried on
Honestly I think the harden vol 4 is a pretty good narrow shoe. The base of the shoe looks narrow, the traction of it looks pretty good but i have never tried it before so if i’m wrong can someone tell me please.
I’m 5,1 sise 10 and my feet are 4 inches wide. I am literally a duck
Can someone please reply what’s the name of this product? I have flat feet and really want one.
I’m size 12 but I have to get a 14 just for them to look normal and be comfortable
After pregnancy, my feet went up a size and feet became wider.
What kind of shoes is that? The rigid one. I have really flat feet.
Hi! I’m new to your channel and love it!! Where have I been all this time?!?
My problem is that I have wide and flat feet with a narrow heel and skinny ankles. When I wear open toe, my feet either are at the very tip and slide down and strapped heels are out the questions. Do you know any brands that feet my needs?
Orthotics do not work for Flat Feet. If you ever plan on having a strong foot, you will delay or worsen that process with every day you wear them.
If you have flat feet, change your footwear first, charlatans will sell you everything, but what will fix the problem, so you can pay for their child’s tuition.
Are pumas good for long standing work days? I need something that won’t absolutely break the bank. It’s hard for me to drop 100+ on shoes when I’m only a size 6-6and a half
Feet so wide and veiny that any heel or sandal i try to wear it looks terrible
I buy Cadence insoles on Amazon recommended by my pediatrist for my plantar fasciitis. They make all the difference in the world…
What can I do for legs that are different lengths? This exacerbates my back problems…
The peg isnt sneaker its a running shoe stop stealing are shoes you hype beast twats
Considering the quality of Nike shoes now I have switched over to Skechers. Most underrated and most comfortable
My largest shoes are 49 1/2 and I NEVER find good shoes downtown or online. It’s a pain in the ass trying to find fitting shoes.
And no I’m not +2m giant, just 184cm..
Great video! With wide feet shoes, do you size down? I once bought Asos wide shoes but they were too big length wide? Is this true for all wide shoes?
I have wide feet. I’m a size 6 in women and my foot width is 4 inches
Ok two things first I super wish videos like this had been around when i was a teen i have “duck feet” shallow and very wide at the front, rising sharply towards the ankle, and went through so many pairs of cheap, too high, uncomfortable heels before i gave up on them entirely. I honestly don’t own any anymore, and have styled my whole wardrobe around making flats look cute!
secondly, and I really hope this comes off as a genuine compliment and not a creepy-internet-person thing lady you are *beautiful*.
Every time I where/walk in heels the back of my calf gets really tight. All the weight from the heels puts pressure on my calf. I even wear arch insoles and nothing eases the pain. How do I avoid that? My feet are arched.
Have been looking to add some new sneakers to the daily rotation, focused on comfort. Hence looked at those from this video and ones others recommended. I’ve had at least 15 pairs of Nike Pegasus and Vomero shoes over the years, latest pair being Pegasus 34’s. Tried the 36’s and 37’s today. Found the 36 way too soft, 37 was definitely better. Had a major issue with both pairs. The heal cup is simple too small. It was ridiculous on the 36, where it would pop off my heal at every step. The 37 was better, but heal cup was about 1/2″ too low at the top of the bow. It does extend up further, but doesn’t provide support where it extends up. Looked at the Presto, the Ultra Boost DNA and Ultraboost 20; just can’t get into the looks of them.
Tried the Epic React Flynit 2 and found it to run really small. My normal size is a 10, but usually get 10.5 for all my Jordans. Had to got to 11 to get a good fit. With a 10.5, my big toe was within 1/4″ of the end of the toe box. Flynet is very tight fitting even with the laces completely loose. After walking and standing in them for a while I found them really comfortable with a soft, but very smooth and even step. Picked those up in the Black/White colorway for just $85+tax on sale as a great bargain on top of the fit. Would have still bought them if there were at the $150 full retail.
Tried a couple of pairs of the New Balance 990. Great cushioning, but couldn’t find the right fit. Haven’t found a store yet that I can go in and try multiple widths. Would rather not order online and have to return them later. Plan to try the Hokas next. Thanks for the recommendations.
Update. Continued trying more sneakers and even being fitting by a couple running experts. Tried 4 of the Hokas: Clifton, Rincon 2, Stinson and Bondi 6. Rincon’s felt flat/less cushioned. Clifton has incredibly high arch support. It is the 1st shoe I have ever tried with that much arch support…too much arch support even with my high arched. Stinson is pretty awkward the first time being such a noticeably support shoe. Bondi is simply very soft and nicely uses that cushion energy to propel forward in the step. I kept find myself wanting to go faster as I wore them. Great recommendation on these and they were a buy. Just took going to a few placed to find my size in the all black colorway that seems to be sold out everywhere.
Decided to try the Acics Nimbus. The one feels soft like the Bondi and Epic Adapt, except the cushioning is bouncy lifting up on the rebound and not forward like the Bondi. Continued trying more of the NBs, the 1010V5 and the 880V10. The 1010V5 is an unbelievable soft cushioned well motioned show that should be about neck to next with the Bondi 6. Only challenge is fit, which has to do with the nick and sewing line at the base of the tongue. In the morning they fit perfect, but pinch on top at the same of the tongue later in the day. Tried a wide, but feels a little to wide. Might go with these as the 3rd pair in my rotation for the times my feet are expanded or swelled a little more. Thanks again for all the recommendations.

What are some of the quality wide fit brands? Can you listed the brands in the description boxes of your videos?
Great video! We can always count on The Most Comfortable Heels to give great advice! X
Great video! I would agree with a lot of your choices. I’m a wide footer myself like David, but I have played in some of the narrow shoes that Andrew mentioned, but I’ll usually go up half a size.
Additional shoes:
for Wide footers: Jordan 29 and Lebron 9
for Narrow footers: Kobe 5 and/or Kobe 6
Can you recommend any (relatively inexpensive) fairly rigid orthotic arch support inserts for Men? I’m a shoe size 12 and weigh 185 lbs. and play a lot of golf along with regular exercising…thanks.
U r so narrow mind so negative…u must test Crocs Literide Pacer????
I find the adidas propheres to be the most comfortable sneakers for my wide feet but the bottoms Ike’s have shitty rubber that slip easily
sounds like me!!!! i have had a hard time explaining what I’m looking for at the shoe store but this is it!!
you might want to state what you consider to be WIDE feet? Like I wear a 13 EEEE and thats very wide.
This is a helpful video. My chiropractor told me that as a 31 year old female I have severely flat feet and the worst he’s ever seen. Hes pretty taken back by them so he’s helped me get custom orthotics and I’m looking for a goof pair of shoes for flat feet and someone who is active. It seems most shoes just don’t help me, so I’m on the lookout for new ones that actually really support me.
I just got an ad about Plantar Fascitius(spell check) before this video. I skipped and wanted to know more about what it is.
The original Fortitudes were my favorite shoes ever. The Dyad was also incredibly comfortable, but the narrow, tapering toebox has always been a huge disappointment. The forefoot is like a whole size smaller than the heel. Wish they offered Dyad in a 16.
How do the Fortitude 7s compare to the originals? I hated the 4s and 5s when they changed the outsole.
I just ordered the Saucony Echelon and Fortitude 7 online in 15 3E and 4E respectively. How does the Echelon compare to the Fortitude?
I wish everyone made a shoe in this category. My foot is totally neutral, normal arches, neutral mechanics, etc. I’m just a clydesdalewhat can I say? If anyone just has big ol’ gladiator feet like I do, he NEEDS to get in one of these shoes.
