Hey guys I attempted this workout as far as possible yesterday. I wasn’t expecting my legs to pain today, how long do you guys recommend resting before attempting this again?
I absolutely love Gymaholic! As I got to use it it is simple and has all the information ready to go for my next workout. 32 dollars for a whole year is great, I have 12 months of tons of info and workouts. My daughter has a more expensive monthly gym fee and I workout at home. Gymaholic has a moving avatar that shows how to do the set. To get to my Music controls there’s an icon in the top of my watch to swap back and forth.
Do anyone know about Episoketren System? Does it really work? I hear lots of people improve their soccer skills using it with this popular training course.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an app the records velocity?
depends on definition of fitness… he’s strong.. and certainly reasonably fit. I always took fit to mean if you take your heart to max… how quickly it will return to a state of rest… or perhaps VO2Max. To be honest.. fitness it hard to define, really. Different types of athletes have conditioned their body for different types of load and ability.
One has to be careful pushing ones self to the limit. See, I’m a distance runner… so I have very good cardio… but I’m NOT a strength trainer in any way… I do minimal strength training. Anyway… someone bet me i couldnt do 100 burpees in a row without stopping, with pressups… they said I would be knackered… bet accepted. I did those 100 burpees… won the bet! haha. I felt ok… slight tight around chest, nothing to worry about (I thought…)… next day, still felt fine.. went into town, tried on some clothes… came back and as the eve drew in I began to get a pain in my right shoulder and top of arm… which got worse and worse and worse… and then in shoulder, chest… pretty soon I couldn’t even use my arms.. i couldn’t bend them and i was in MAJOR pain! I was up all night sat up in agony lol! Felt like pro boxer had used my right shoulder as a punch bag for 1/2 hr. After taking max human dose of ibuprofen and I got my head down. I was literally crippled next day and for a few days after that…. and for many weeks after I could certainly feel it. Then I read an article about these two teen girls who did 1000 squat challenge and ended up in intensive care unit after getting similar symptoms to me with my burpees (obviously they went further down the road to ruin than i did)… it was the same situation.. they felt fine.. 24 hrs later they were in a mess. You’d think you’d get a warning from your body to stop… but no. Apparently what happens is you push the muscles and get micro-rips… and afterwards the body breaks down what it has to build more muscle but if you push too much the process goes nuts…. and if it breaks down too much the kidneys cannot process the byproduct.

Thanks, I just replaced my Fenix 3 watch with an Apple Watch 4 and one thing that always annoyed me with the Fenix 3 was that it is useless in the gym. I took it off every time, which feels ridiculous when we’re looking at an activity-geared watch. I’ll check out these apps and hopefully the Apple Watch can accompany me in the gym!

Hi Jeff, When you do your squat, do you lock/block your knees?
Try Strong. You can use it to track sets as well as HR/calories. You can also use it from your iPhone to make it easier to track sets and reps but it can put you watch into “companion mode” to measure your HR data to calculate calories, etc.

Hi Eric, On my Apple Watch running Watch OS5, “Strength Training” is one of the pre-programmed options. I assume Apple has a custom algorithm that goes with choosing “Strength Training” to provide the most accurate metrics. Is there a reason why you don’t use that for your gym workouts? Also, after choosing “Other” as a workout option and then finishing a workout, you should see an option to select from an expanded list of workouts like pilates, skating, etc. Choose the workout name that best corresponds to the activity you just completed. Having said that, I don’t know if all these additional workouts come with their own algorithms or if it’s just a convenient way to name a workout so next time you can actually choose that name instead of “other.” Keep up the good work!!

For a digital log, I find Strong is an excellent app. It’s Watch app still needs work but it’s an excellent package which can be for free or you can go pro for a one-time fee. It’s really detailed and gets better with each update.

Hi agent! Thanks for the helpful video…. I’m planning to get a Apple Watch series 4 but I have my doubts about that heart rate sensor, does really worth it??? I want to track my calories burned in my workouts (6 days a week) so that’s my reason to get the watch in the first place, but I don’t want to buy it if isn’t accurate…I know there is the Fitbit charge 3 but as far as I know doesn’t perform well tracking gym base activities. So, do you recommend to get the series 4 for tracking my calories at the gym??? Thanks so much!

Hi techy Agent, i have been trying to use the under armour record app. When i’m choosing to do a upperbody workout, the calories that i’m burning is really offff and not accurated at all compared to the build in workout app from my AW4. I have been searching for an answer for the couple of days but i cant find anything about it and was REALLYYY hoping if u could help me or give me any tips.
I have re-installed the app, checked my profile settings such as in weight, height, age etc but still when i’m working out it says i burned 661 calories within 55:34. my AVG heart rate was 124 which is really low. Care to help me out? thank you so much!

It’s funny for me to watch all of these videos, I was trained in a top secret platoon of special forces these so called experts only have mediocre abilities! In the Special Forces Super Soldier Training Program you had to be the biggest, strongest and fastest MFer on earth or you were the deadest MFer on earth! and yes the Super in the training name was short for Super Human! We successfully completed only the worst case scenarios of suicide missions! my trial by fire as they called it was me vs 35 of another countries version of special forces, if it wasn’t for my Super human strength and speed I would not be alive!

From a guy who is from the West Coast of the USA and has been to New York and to Texas you need to go to the South. New York is awesome don’t get me wrong, it has one of the most beautiful monuments in the States. (The Twin Towers Monument) But it is a busy place like you wouldn’t believe. Now the south is so humble and laid back! It also has some amazing places full of history! I say you go South!!

Can someone explain to me how CrossFit athletes can do so much cardio and maintain muscular size and maintain strength and have such a low body fat percentage on top of all that?
Why is every athlete in the world not training like this? Most Olympic athletes train for one (cardio capacity) or the other (muscular size/strength) as one usually harms the other…..this doesn’t seem to be the case for CrossFit athletes…..why?

Have been using Gymaholic for more than three years and still feel it is the best training apps on your wrist for serious gym goers. Never use those built-in programs tho, I set my own programs and sometimes make some programs for my friends when they want. I can clear my mind just follow the program when I was training, and it keeps all the weight recorded during the workout. You can also review the statistics including the heart rate changing and weight after the workouts, which for me is a huge plus because I can look back and make changes based on what I did and how I feel every week. The App also works with Polar H10 perfectly which is the chest heart rate monitor I use. I mean one-year subscription fee is just equal to one-month membership fee in my gym, but I feel like I get sixteen-month extra gains out of it.
