Fucking hell 90% of the comment section is kids,
Why are there so many libretarian 12year olds?
Iš that why stosel speaks like he runs a childrens TV show?
My mom would be like
HELL NAH YA GOIN OUT THERE IMA LOCK U IN FIRST NO GOIN
Kids to move alone in big city is difficult. http://kidzsmaniazone.blogspot.com
I’ve been walking outside alone since I was 4 at Maplewood Apartments Ypsilanti, Michigan.. but that was 1974. Has things change that much?
I was born in NYC and lived there for a little over the first decade of my life. At 6 years old I was out and about on my bike, staying within ten blocks or so of my house. By 8 years old I was taking the bus, train, and ferry by myself. The only rule was that I was to be home when the streetlights came on.
No one even raised an eyebrow.
Later, when we’d moved upstate to a more rural area I’d be out the door in the summer and gone until the sun went down.
All this before the era of cell phones, btw, so if a problem did come up I’d have had to find a payphone or knock on the door of someones home and ask to use their phone.
Let the kids go out, keeping them under thumb is just retarding their growth.
I would not let my kids do it, things can happen that you can not go back in time and fix it. Plus they are kids they can not fight and win against a older and stronger person than them.
Going to get back into her videos. She is great. Always has been.
This video still makes me laugh. Every damn time.
Even funnier in 2020 now that this is a daily reality for so many of us.
If this family had a vlog, I’d watch it.
Luv this guy, wonderful energy. Loviong these walking exercizes.
This is a perfect walk for me! During isolation I have missed my 55+ workouts at the gym and my AquaFit class. I have arthritis and issues with stiffness and pain and it felt so good to complete a mile of walking in my home Thank you ❤️

Since we are on lockdown and cant go outdoors, I think I may use this for me and the kiddies. We must continue to be active more now than ever!
Nick is so nice and motivational. I would like more videos with him. He makes me enjoy the walking at home.
Very funny. This video shows how to do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oRdlPwNKMY
This litte scenario is the best and funniest slice of life I have ever seen.
Lol Nick you all over the place I just finished country heat and you was in it now I’m doing this with my daughter.
Ha, baby has wheels….and the kid, that was funny, but how mom pulled the kid off the bed was a bit much…well, don’t know how their marriage is so no one can really judge.
If she were a minority she’d lost her son to the system for tailor to protect / neglect.
Letting a 9 year old travel NYC subways alone, irresponsible at best.Doesn’t she get it’s not a lack of trust in your kid it’s an awareness of the dangers of predators.
I get the point of inviting the children, but for some of us watching, it’s too distracting and all over the place.
Doesn’t it say people not only experience distraction but celebrate distraction these days. Freaking teens go out of their way to distract and break concentration of people. Having real and fake phone calls to get last words in, make huge issues if doing something ‘right in front of you’ for completely mundane and insignificant comments, portraying themselves as celebrities when they’re almost total unknowns. etc. People are freaking sick like that now.
What’s the issue..?.Who cares..I love all these distractions not ending with yet including oral sex while driving, sex intercourse while driving, and sex torture while driving. I am not trying to make a case for auto automobiles..but god..people stop celebrating this stuff. 9 million hits..geesh
Children grow up.
Reality check.
They ARE going to be adults.
It’s a wonderful life
She was crawling because she didn’t have her pants buttoned! Poor her, just another Mom day ☺♀️ That’s life folks ♀️
giggles That little kid in the front clearly had NO idea what was going on with the exercises, and it was adorable. XD And Nick’s a sweetheart I love how excited he gets by the workouts.:D
Thanks, Nick! Great workout today, appreciate the enthusiasm!
When you live in Dallas, Tx and you can’t be independent without a car.
Did this with hand weights/adding arm workouts for each part to bring up the heat a bit. So much fun, thank you guys for making cardio fun for me. My niece loves working out with me and her mom so will have to do this with her next time we’re all together! <3
I’m gonna be a free range parent when I am a parent. When they’re 10, they can venture out on their own and I would like to give them what I call a city survival kit, which would be a cell phone and a bottle of pepper spray that I pray to God they’ll never use.
ALWAYS FOR THE GOOD CONTENT..GO FOR A BREAK https://earnandfitness.blogspot.com/
im surprised no one made a big deal about how the mom dragged the kids out the room. did you see the little girle she was on the floor almost stuck in the walker.
I’d be interested to know who all these people are and who is related! Is that Camilla in the yellow shirt? She doesn’t look the same as the other videos I’ve seen her in.
I like it as always
I just finished 6 weeks walk challenge, please guys continue the inspiring work
what a nice video….go this too https://youtu.be/ArzHKyUYNmA
This was so fun! Great group! Thank you Nick and Walk at Home team!
My parents let me walk to and from school alone from the age of eight and sent me to the grochery store from the age five. Like I don’t see what parents are so worried about. It’s because my parents have let me and my siblings out alone from such a young age that I can show good judgement and can be trusted with my independence. I am 17 today and I can leave the house without my parents asking any questions because they know they can trust me and that I know how to take care of myself.
Too much talking Nick is good but stop talking do more with adults only
Started walking alone & taking public transportation since I was 9 with my brother. He was 13 at that time & this is while we were living in a major city. I think kids should be independent to an extent. But we’re also living in a different world now so… I don’t know
Growing up in Manhattan during the 1950s I use to walk 5 blocks to school. Sometimes with friends sometimes by myself. Nobody thought anything about it. Things were different then.
when i was in elementary school doing baseball for my extra curricular stuff, one of my brothers was late in picking me up, so I decided to walk home by myself and it was a 4 mile walk. Made it home fine and no one tried kidnapping me or doing something to me. I hate helicopter parenting so much
Funny I always thought of getting the entire family in on the walk at home exercise. Glad to see you guys finally did one. This is awesome plus the little bunny is so adorable. Like Nick says, let them start early and will carry this on into their lives.

My mom used to send me across a busy 4 lane highway and up the road to the convenient store to get milk and cigarettes when I was like 9 or 10. They’d actually sell them to me too because they knew they were for my mother.
who else is waching this in 2020 giving air hi fives because of corona
This is the kind of person who goes to Syria to prove it’s safe and gets killed by Isis
When I was 6 yo I went through the city with my 6yo friend. I grew up in Hunedoara, Romania.
Im not japanese but i lived there as a kid and now my lifestyle in america is very japanese. so one day i took a city bus without my parents as i would have in nagasaki, but some people made a big deal out of it as the bus got emptier by evening. I was thankful for the concern, but some lady who offered to call the police also “pitied” me and made huge assumptions about my parents being shit for letting me have freedom at 14which is a good time to start acting more grown up. So. I was lowkey mad at her? I haveanger issues but dw i was very nice however i wanted to leave so much sooner than i had planned
I do not know how do kids now become independent. When I was 6 I used to go to kindergarten on my own. I was also buying groceries on my own and playing all day long with no supervision. My grandmother was checking me only for food and to see if I have any bleeding knees.
Coming from a child I I think if I was a parent I’d let them walk on their own as long as it wasn’t a super bad neighborhood and they had a phone
Loool in my home country kids as young as 5 or 6 go to school on their own!!
The little girl and Nick doing the jumps like she was was cracking me up. that was a lot of fun. My bf goes on the elliptical while i do these and he turns off his music to listen in because he really likes the motivation. Nick is so much fun!
Why is this such a phenomenon in America and it’s like a parenting method. Almost everywhere else it’s normal to take the train and go places themselves.
My childhood was in the early 70s.
We were also allowed to explore the world very independently. There were only a few rules that we MUST adhere to
1, Never alone, always at least in twos.
2 When it gets dark, come home.
3, Foreign property is taboo. e.g. stealing apples from a neighbour.
She moved to Communist NYC from New Mexico?? She IS the worlds worst mom. They don’t have the US Constitution or the Bill of Rights in NYC or anything. It’s not even in the USA!
To all the perfect parents and know-it-alls, this video perfectly fine. There was no child abuse that happened. What did you want them to do? Completely drop a serious interview and play peek-a-boo with the kids? Some of the comments here are totally so self-righteous. I’m sure the parents in this video just had a good laugh after.
This family is sad…they won’t even let their kids go down the street to the store? wtf?
Which episode of Forensic Files began with the mom reluctantky giving her kid a random chance to prove his/her independence? Oh yeah….all of them.
I’m 10 and I walk all around my hometown to places I don’t even know and I walk alone or sometimes with my friend and we don’t get in trouble when I walk alone some people try to steal me but I’m like no thanks I’m going to call the police now and they run away
um that doesnt look like the mother, looks like a scared nanny knowing she f’d up n dad’s gonna flip
Love that energy. Looking to change me and get that energy you have. New subscriber.
When I was in second grade my mother would let my brother I (one year younger) walk to school about a mile away in what was back then a somewhat rural area (Norco). One morning on our way to school we were horsing around and my bother darted into the street while i chased him and he almost got hit by a car. We were real careful after that, especially my bro.
Following week we heard our first horse fart lol
A 12 year old alone is New York is very normal. By 7th grade i was taking the subway every day to school, no problem. I think that the city seems scarier if you aren’t from it. Honestly, I feel safer in NY with all the people around than I would in some rural area.
LESLIE, NECESITAMOS UN VIDEO YAAAAA.HACE TRES SEMANAS QUE ESTOY ESPERANDO UN VIDEO NUEVO Y NO LLEGA.
I lasted 5 minutes! lol I am really overweight and out of shape but, love these videos
it looks like the mom is scared that she will be abused later by him
I was 7 when I first traveled alone to my grandma’s house and it was 15 km from my house…my mom wants me (us) to be independent so now I’m 14 and I go to another cities (to a mall,to my school etc) Sometimes I also watch concerts:) (it’s like 100km from my town)
My parents would have a heart attack I just want to be independent geez I know your trying to keep me safe but keeping me inside is just gonna make want to go out more
I mean my parents trust me to go to school alone and home alone this year. Btw…2019?
I love watching this kind of videos and was so loving the walk at home program. I started a short video clip of me exercising, i hope you watch and subscribe to my channel. Feel free to leave a comment and suggestions too i love to hear from you all and make some new friends

That’s what you say before your kid goes missing and found in a ditch, dead.
I remember the days before there were cell phones and kids could roam the landscape without a helicopter parent wondering exactly where we were and what we were doing.
True, there was a pack of us that went out on a ranch that was covered in Live Oak trees among other trees and shrubs, and we took our BB guns and homemade hand grenades and had the time of our life playing War. But no one ever was seriously hurt although we did have to perform minor field surgery a couple of times when shrapnel from the grenades found it’s way past human flesh.
The backside to the story is that none of us ever wound up being an absolute knucklehead or getting into much trouble at all.
One of us is a nuclear physicist, one is a career police officer, one is now a retired Marine and one is a very successful businessman.
Fun fact: the one who took shrapnel in his back (worst field surgery we ever had to do) wound up being the career Marine. Somehow, I’d like to think that our time playing WAR as boys prepared us all for this thing called life.
When the old school mafia ran things in my hometown, we kids were perfectly safe. We knew the neighborhoods to avoid.
they were finally let out themselves but still followed by a camera crew haha
Well -not every parent really wants the kids. The minute it happens to you-YOUR ODDS JUST Shot to % and there’s no going back.
I Love this clip! Soo cute and lovely. Its not the end of the world!!
I get the point of inviting the children, but for some of us watching, it’s too distracting and all over the place.
While here in my country you could find even 8 year olds taking the metro to school
hahahahhahahaa america is insane, really that’s the bar?!?!:)))))
Criminals or perverts are not an argument to prevent children from becoming self-employed. They have always existed. They do not become more, one goes today only faster to the public.
And they know exactly which children they can pull out.
The intimidated ones, the dependent ones, the not enlightened ones, and yes…the “little idiots” who can be lured with every bonbon.
These are mostly the first victims.
The guy seems like a jerk, the way he pushed his child away without looking.
i mean with ths covid 19 i havent been able to exercise this is a great way.. ❤❤❤
Hi! I’ve been doing the 2019 walking challenge and I’m now week 6 now!:D I’ve been tracking the walking workouts on MyFitnessPal and I’m not sure how to long the warm ups and cool downs. Should i put it at 2.5 or 3.0 mph?? For now, I’ve been tracking them as 3.0 mph. (I realize I should’ve asked since I started the challenge lol)
But what if the kid gets abducted there are plentey of creeps out there
That’s crazy…. Wherever you are on earth…. you should never let your kids go anywhere himself. That’s bullshit.
She’s an idiot.
I missed Leslie. She used to explaine the importance of each movement and how to lift up the legs properly. It’s not the same without her.
I would not let my kids go outside that day the Tiana in New York City they have guns so why would I let them go that’s just so not appropriate who would do that seriously because there’s guns in New York City they can just shoot them he would like them seriously no one would never do that I would not do that to my kids no one will do that tonight if I see someone has a gun seriously I’ll call the cops it’s just like war when people killed kids or adults Grown Ups seriously that’s not inappropriate no one should do that in New York City you see the hashtag sisters they don’t dance outside by their self they have their mum with them so that’s inappropriate you’re not allowed to hear that even in school no Highschool no university no no one would do that
My parents let me walk the 3-8 minute walk to school by my self when I was 6
No.
The woman in this video IS a crappy parent.
Most parents are wise enough to protect their children from predators out there.
About 1% of children in the US will be sexually assaulted by a stranger.
This statistic based on:
About one in 10 children will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday *a
10% of child sexual assaults are done by strangers. *a
Most parents have a clue and make sure their child is supervised wherever they go.
Less than 10% *b of children have moron parents like the woman in this video who let their child go around unsupervised, thus enabling the predators. So, a room full of kids of such crappy mothers likely has children in it who have been molested because of the crappy parenting. If she “helped” 10 parents get over their fears and let their child walk places unsupervised, likely some of those resulted in their child being sexually assaulted.
*a = https://www.d2l.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/all_statistics_20150619.pdf
*b = not a statistic, just a personal estimate
I walked to the gas station not even a mile with my 13 yr old brother
Watching in 2019 and NOPE, I will not let my child walk the street alone
I was pretty free range as a kid (Of course with restrictions and responsibilities) it’s really not all that bad. My dad let me get groceries myself and that was one of the things that made me feel like I was contributing to the family
She was doing her own thing! Super cute and the boy was too.
This isn’t suprizing cause that was 2015 NOWWW is like 10x worse ITS 2018 YALL. STUFF IS HAPPENIN
That would be dangerous these days with kids having mobile phones and crossing the street distracted. I’ve seen kids crossing the streets whilst looking at their mobile phones.
Is this cuckoo lady not aware of what evil is in the world and is she not aware that she is supposed to protect and provide for her son or any child that she may have. Know Where your children are and do not let them walk around unsupervise this lady is very stupid in my book
You are lucky, dumb ass. It takes only one nut and you life is a living hell. And actually if your kid is out there, others are safe.
I love every body in the world including you and your children
In Norway kids go to school alone.. at like age 6… and that’s totally normal here…
Um all the kids in my neighborhood walk around new york by there selves (manhattan)
When I was a kid, you left home at noon and came home as late as you could get away with all summer long. We got into all kinds of trouble. Good times:-)
Sure, you can go to the store by yourself, Camera crew follows them the whole way.
I understand that you need to give them Indipendentce but but going underground is so dangerous, and letting them go there especially at such a young age isn’t such a good thing. Especially New York
It’s okay to do it in a safe area but in a city where alot of crimes happened then it wont be safe.
I think it’s fine so long as children only walk in white or asian neighbourhoods.
In England you can only really go to the town center at 11-12 to start with. Thats when you go to secondary school (high School) because its a lot more dangerous in the UK ESPECIALLY in London.
The reason we drink after cheers…
Banging glasses is hard work!
Perfect example of a dad that does nothing but work and would choose said work over family any day.
I wouldn’t let my child go alone on the subway, because I don’t know if someone would end up taking them and the next time I see them, it is planning a funeral after their body was found. For me to allow them on the subway, it would be with an adult family member.
I went from California to Virginia AND BACK on a PLANE with only myself and my brother who is only 2 years older than me and I was 9!!!!
So idk how this gurly got a book a TV SHOW AND A SPOT ON SEVERAL NEWS STATIONS by letting her SON go on a SUBWAY to their HOUSE!!!! You know buses sand subways are the number 1 way FOR STUDENTS TO GET AROUND!??!! This don’t make non sense
Walked to school or called the cab to go to scoole in Shanghai at age 5 wtf?!
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
that kid was kim jong un un between valdmir putin and donald trump
This is interesting. In South Africa little kids catch the public bus from rural home areas to the city everyday for school. Or walk long distance to school. As young as 5. If younger then with older siblings.
K bien,Nick lo de hacerlo en familia.te felicito por esa idea.chao desde España
I can’t fathom growing up in the country and then raising my kids in the city in purpose. Why? I’m sure it has to do with a good job. Because money always comes first
As a peraon who was raised in a house with a father who had frequent video conference calls, he should have just rolled with it, put the the kid on his lap and kept going. Stuff like this happens all the time.
Nothing soothes me more than 3 different people having different conversations over one another at the same volume.
I grew up in the 1960s London, things today are much more better than years ago, more choices, and better food, conditions to live in generally, alas, but the downside to today’s comparison is more nutters, more traffic, paedophiles, I take my hat off to this family they trusted in their children, and the best part about this was, they never let their parents down… So as a whole family they trusted in each other.., decent video, of a decent family..
I went on a school trip to NYC for model UN (everyone except me who was only 13 at the time was in highschool), and we could go out and explore the city as long as we were in groups of four or more. That freedom, although relatively new to me, was pretty fun.
When I was in 2nd grade my cousins who are in 3rd and 4th grade taught me how to go home all alone that I should ride these specific vehicle which is a jeepney to get home faster. One time my cousins got home earlier and I was all alone, I rode on jeepney not knowing that I’ll take me to a different place which and where I am not familiar with the place. I cried, when I started to notice that it’s on a different route, then the driver noticed me and I ask me where I am from, and I told them. They then sent me to a different vehicle that is called tricycle and by the time I already know the place I got off and walk all the way to my house. It’s really an experience for me because without it I wouldn’t be able to know and the things I should do whenever I will have another experience of it, and it actually made me in to an independent person. Although at that time my parents/family got worried but they really put their trust on me that when I was on 3rd grade they just let me send myself to school and go home without them worrying about me getting lost again until I graduated high school, actually up until now.
I really enjoyed this 1 mile family walk, but I haven’t seen Leslie! Where is she?
such sick comments on here and its unfortunately encouraged by western media once again sad lol
That remindes me of conversation with my father about taking me to kindergarden when I was 6 yo.
I will not take you to kindergarden. If you wanna go there go by yoursef!
(started crying) but I dont know how to….
I dont give a fuck! Go outside and find out!
…
While the kid is getting dragged out of the room, she is asking her mom “why are you doing this to me?” The lady is obviously not a nanny because the kids look like a half Caucasian and Asian. But that dad looks scary and looks pissed! How about locking the door!!
Do you know that nyc is considered the safest big city in the country, just saying.
I love this clip. Kids are so entertaining without even trying.
She must have been in the bathroom because her pants were down and her underwear was showing!!!!!!!
I read an article written by a guy who had this happen to him. He worked at home and he said that if he locked the door his young children would scream or bang on the door that they wanted to be let in or that they wanted juice or something. He said that he has to have another adult in the house when he tries to video chat otherwise his children will just interrupt. He mentioned that a lot of work-at-home people will actually go out to their cars to have video chats because the children can be so disruptive. Children will be children.
Great walk after a bad day! Thank you I needed the laughs and the sweat!
Love that little girl!
Why Kamiliah is slow & gentle in her actions?
That is the most fun I have ever had following an exercise video. Especially that little girl in the white shirt, you should have her on more often.
He’s a wife beater. he’s pissed off and she knows she’s about to get it. So sad.
I had to do this for school because we have online school because its carona time
The parents created this cute mess. Dad didn’t lock the door then mom knocks things around including the daughter. Typical adults screwing things up.
In the early ‘60s, the rules for us were basically to stay within our area—don’t cross Northern Blvd, Francis Lewis, or the Whitestone Expressway. When the streetlights came on, we went directly home. We pretty much played in groups and freely went from one person’s house to another’s. There were no cell phones and most mothers were home. We learned how to amuse ourselves and to settle disagreements. I first rode the train into the city when I was 14—in order to attend high school. Nobody thought anything of it. And by the late 1960s-early 1970’s, NYC was a much more hazardous place than now. Check the statistics! I moved out and lived on my own at 18, attended college, worked, lived commuting from Brooklyn Hts. to Manhattan and Queens all through the 1980s, 1990s. One developed a sixth sense of sorts that signaled danger. Today’s pampered children and even adults into their 30s never learn, hence they go through life always fearful of being on their own, not monitored or “connected” to others. Too bad. When a crisis arises, these people are helpless and useless. I’m all for teaching children to be responsibly independent.
This interview was merely evidence of life being real. We forget that too often.
I see how people are stupid. I do not why they are running at the mom (divorce her…blah blah). It is the man’s failure, he has to lock the door. Period.
I Gotta Feeling half the people that viewed this had a totally different perspective of what the video was about
